Last week Hulu advertised on its streaming platform with a complete commercial spot that they were now streaming seasons 1-5 of "Living Single" (I saw this commercial and was as confused as everyone else). This is especially disheartening since streaming platforms have a history of not licensing the rights to popular black media of the 70s-00s.

They aren't actually streaming the beloved Queen Latifah-led show and unsurprisingly confused & enraged black twitter, one of the most vocal factions on the internet:

Background: Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee was the only Republican who voted against the GOP tax bill. He voted against it because he's against raising the deficit by the massive amount that the bill would require. But now that the bill has come back for a second round of voting, Corker says he will vote for it. What changed? Not the deficit raising part. What changed was the inclusion of a new provision that would give a few people, one of them Bob Corker, a massive tax break. The International Business Times, who broke this story, got a panicking Bob Corker to say that he didn't read the new bill, denounce the new provision and then walk back his denouncement. With Senator McCain out because of surgery, activists are calling out Corker in a last ditch effort to stop the tax bill. With the help of a few celebrities, #CorkerKickback is trending on Twitter as part of the campaign.

America's Next Top Model is set to return next year with its creator and host Tyrant Banks back in the driver's seat (transracial billionaire princess Rita Ora ends her tenure as host with one season). This of course gives plenty of freelance bloggers writing material, dipping into the show's often juicy past seasons. And the often uncalled for antics & choices of the Harvard Business School graduate and the show's producers.

5 Moments that could gave been handled much differently:

Tyra's infamous tirade against Tiffany [Cycle 4] at the judge's table. Tiffany reluctantly reported to the media that Tyra said this to her (and it was excluded from the broadcast): "You can go back to your house and sleep on your mattress on the floor with your baby!"

Tyra "tricking" the models [Cycle 6] into thinking that she fainted and causing them to freak out which was just....

Yet again forcing a disabled model to work in difficult conditions by having deaf model Nyle DiMarco [Cycle 22 Winner] pose in dark woods on a raised platform

Tyra's weird obsession with blackface/yellowface/redface/brownface & her version of racebending [Cycle 4/Cycle 13], painting a blond/blue eyed model to be a "traditional African woman"(?) while having models in the later season portray biracial/hapa people. This somehow brought out the war bonnets, kimonos and brown foundation on white models. Eve Doll later gave a publicist-approved apology.

A model [Danielle, Cycle 6] went to the hospital for severe but temporary illnesses and still insisted against doctors orders to leave so she could complete the required photoshoot. Of course Tyra found away to grandstand at the judges panel and reference working through her own illness struggles in her modeling career. Except nobody fucking cared.

Name other wacky moments Tyra could have handled differently!
