Maddie is growing up fast -- and becoming quite the fashionista! Jamie Lynn Spears' daughter (and Britney Spears' niece) celebrated her 5th birthday on Wednesday, June 19.

Jamie Lynn, 22, shared a cute picture of Maddie on Instagram all dressed up for her special day. "Birthday girl!!!" she captioned the shot. "Picked out her bday outfit by herself! Dolce & Gabbana shoes Crewcuts. I'm in trouble," she joked.

In the picture, Maddie, who recently finished her first year of school, shows off her stylish ensemble of a gray cardigan, white T-shirt, tropical print shorts, a gold necklace and neon pink flats by J.Crew.

Later in the day, Jamie Lynn later shared a photo of her daughter at a hair salon, digging into a box of sweets on her lap.

Five years ago, Jamie Lynn welcomed Maddie with then-fiance Casey Aldridge when she was just 17 years old. The new parents called off their engagement in 2009, and ended things for good in 2010.

In March 2013, the former Nickelodeon actress announced her engagement to boyfriend of three years, Jamie Watson. She tweeted a picture of herself posing with her fiance and showing off her huge diamond ring, captioning the shot, "Guess what???" She also shared a close-up shot of the sparkler and added, "He did good."

America’s Brightest Pop Hope Spotlights Youth Culture Clans in a New Film

Actress, model and singer Sky Ferreira stars in unsettling art-house short IRL, an eye-opening look into the reality of young life in New York. The film is the directorial debut from Grant Singer, best known for crafting music videos for acts such as Diiv, Tamaryn and Ferreira herself. Scripted by V magazine’s Patrik Sandberg, the Los Angeles-native takes the lead as Angel, a party girl fallen into paranoia and disenchantment. “Patrik was adamant about casting Sky as the lead before I’d ever met her,” recalls Singer who went on to make the video for the singer’s hit “Everything Is Embarassing.” “I met her shortly thereafter and was blown away. She’s breathtaking, and beneath the surface there’s a real depth to her. I was sold on the spot.” The zeitgeist-nailing short features a stellar cast of NYC’s most compelling characters, such as former Throbbing Gristle frontman Genesis P-Orridge, performance artist Whitney Vangrin and songwriter and model Liza Thorn. Today’s excerpt shows Ferreira talking about love with her onscreen boyfriend, model and former soldier Chris Wetmore, a favorite of Hedi Slimane’s. Later this year Ferreira is set to make her major motion picture debut in Eli Roth’s rainforest horror The Green Inferno and release her long-awaited first album I Will.“The internet and social networking has been around for most of my life,” muses Ferreira about the film and its acronymic title that takes inspiration from chat room speak. “I’ve also had times where I felt like I outgrew my friends and suddenly felt like a stranger [as Angel does in the film].” Here, the singer of the moment separates the real from the virtual.

Willam Belli

Written by Michael Pihach

She might have been disqualified from RuPaul’s Drag Race season four, but drag performer Willam Belli knows a thing or two about staying in the game.

The Los Angeles-based actor first gained mass acclaim for her recurring role as the transsexual Cherry Peck on the cult drama Nip/Tuck, and from there went onto booking an impressive list of TV appearances on shows like CSI and The New Normal. She’s a founding member of the drag pop group DWV, and now she’s preparing for what some Torontonians might call her most anticipated premiere yet: Toronto Pride.

We caught up with the drag sensation via email to talk about her appearance on Drag Race, her first Pride, and why so many Drag Race alumni are coming to Toronto.

In Toronto: Glad to hear you’re coming to Toronto Pride. Have you been to Toronto before?
Willam Belli:
I've never been to Toronto before but I've filmed a couple times in Canada and love the people and the weed.

In: What are you going to perform at Pride?
WB:
Fellatio, Songs, Back-alley dice games. If they've got a check, I've got a talent.

In: Other Drag Racers will be at Toronto Pride (Jinkx Monsoon, Jiggly Caliente, Shangela, to name a few). Is it customary to hang out with Drag Race alumni when you appear at the same festival?
WB:
We rub fine oils on each other’s bodies and prank room service calls to each other’s rooms. Jiggly is usually cool with it.

In: This year we have more queens from Drag Race in town for Pride than ever. Why do you think Toronto is on people’s radar?
WB:
I think our manager is a smart man who likes a group rate. All the girls that don't win Drag Race are forced to prostitute and throw mouth parties in their hotels.

In: Looking at all that’s happened in 2013 – particularly on the human rights front – what LGBT issues are important to you today?
WB:
I LOVE Bullying!

In: What was your first Pride like?
WB:
My first pride was in LA. They said there would be funnel cake. There wasn't funnel cake.

In: Tell me was it was like being on Drag Race. You were disqualified in season four for maintaining contact with your husband during production, which broke show rules. Would you have done anything differently if you did it again?
WB:
Game shows are awesome. I would have sucked more dicks and actually told people the real reason why I got kicked off. Get me drunk enough and I will in person.

In: How did your experience on Drag Race differ from other television gigs you’ve had?
WB: It was different from what I was used to working on. This set was rife with untaped wires underfoot, non-regulated food breaks (like $75 to feed 12 men after a 14 hour day). Sharon subsided on bread dipped in ranch for a month while filming because her vegetarian food needs were never met. Major safety issues and human rights violations that any union rep woulda shit themselves over.

But it was one of the most fun experiences of my life that I was lucky to partake in. Mainly becauseI knew I wasn't going to win. I had no stakes. Beautiful, successful people doing well for themselves don't make for good TV unless they're bitches PLUS we knew that Sharon was being pulled for. Just like how Mariah wrote "Congratulations Raja" on the mirror when she sashayed away (which was then erased but visible in the wide shot).

The "story producers" are actually kinda like writers without the benefit of Writer's Guild Insurance. It's a GAME show. BUT again, I had a lot of fun because my motto was "it's easier to say "Sorry" than "May I." Other girls would start to ask questions and I'd be like "STFU!!! Don't give them the opportunity to say No."

I knew what I was getting into. I complained each time I didn't like something and if it wasn't fixed, I just drank or smoked some weed (which was handily sold to us by a crew member Kenya and I liked to show our asses to). Hell, even this season when they cracked down on the contestants security after my shenanigans, one of the top 3 girls smoked out with a producer who likes to collect the queens as friends like trading cards. That producer is still employed by them despite blasting me in social media and dressing in a way that I could only say emulates the dancing Fantasia hippos complete with ratty wigs.

It's a weird dichotomy- feeling like you need to be nice to powers-that-be people to advance in a competition/show instead of just being good – and it's also a dichotomy I refused to play into.

In: You’re a member of the group DWV, which is known for its music video parodies like "Chow Down" and "Boy is a Bottom." The videos have tallied millions of hits on YouTube. Did you anticipate your group would have such a viral impact?
WB:
No. I thought it would be entirely bacterial.

In: Your fans have stuck by you post-Drag Race. What’s the key to staying relevant?
WB:
My only job is to entertain. Every tweet, every answer to every interview, every time I open my mouth I remind myself that I am simply but a novelty who's purpose is to entertaint. YES. Taint.

Jennifer Aniston & fiancé embrace nudist lifestyle

Her movies are getting sexier and Jennifer Aniston's new found body confidence could be down to her 'nudist' home life.

The former Friends star, 44, spends whole days walks round her house naked and even cooks in the nude thanks to fiancé Justin Theroux's encouragement.

A pal of Jen’s told a US magazine the actress was shy at first, but has since grown more confident.

They added: “Both of them have incredible bodies, so they’re more relaxed.

“They spend entire days at home without any clothes on and even cook naked.”

Jen’s fans will get a better idea what they are missing when she plays a stripper in her latest film We’re the Millers later this year.

Jen and actor and director Justin, 41, are alleged to have delayed their wedding several months after being swamped with work.

They were due to tie the knot sometime this summer, but reports have claimed that it will now probably happen around Christmas.

A source gushed about the wedding plans to the magazine: "It will be somewhere warm, gorgeous and intimate.

"It's going to be very low-key; just close friends and family, with no more than 100 guests.”

The stunning actress recently told Marie Claire of her plans to style her iconic 'Rachel hair' for her wedding day - by having 'romp hair'.

"For my wedding, I wouldn't do an updo, but I think a veil is always pretty. I like loose and natural hair because it goes against the formality of the dress. Loose, like, 'I just got out of bed, maybe had a romp' hair," she said.

In movie Horrible Bosses She played the role of a sex obsessed dental nurse who just so happened to strip off to her undies and seductively tuck in to a banana. A delicious choice of fruit, obviously.

And she’s only gone and done it again in new flick We’re the Millers.

While it promises to give at least a few chuckles and a belly-LOL or two – the most eye-popping moment was down to Jen-An’s underpants.

The gorgeous 44-year-old looks incredible in the see-through laced lingerie. Whoever wrote this is a creep

Jen was showing off her toned stomach and pert bottom in the cheeky clip.

Here’s hoping ex-husband Brad Pitt is paying attention after his fairly harsh assessment on their marriage.

Gays sigh in relief, her popstar peers collectively cry

Britney Spears recently had a “pregnancy scare” reports a Life & Style.

The magazine claims Spears, who’s been dating David Lucado for the past couple of months, “gave her team reason to panic during a recent dinner in Las Vegas” when she allegedly confessed she thought she was expecting.

A supposed “insider” for the tab says, “Britney told them that she recently thought she was pregnant.”

The purported “source” shares, “If she were, that would’ve been the end of her lucrative Vegas show deal!”

However, the mag adds that Spears “quickly put the group of our their misery by revealing it was just a scare.”

“There was a collective sigh of relief!” adds the insider.

HOLLYWOOF REPORTER: R.I.P. James Gandolfini, a Devoted Dog Dad

Just as Tony Soprano had a soft spot for animals – he enjoyed feeding the wild ducks who gathered in his swimming pool and was devastated when his beloved racehorse was killed in a stable fire – James Gandolfini, the actor who so memorably portrayed him on “The Sopranos,” was also an animal lover.

Gandolfini, whose sudden death yesterday has shocked and saddened people around the world, was a dedicated dog dad to Duke, a rescue.

“I would see him getting coffee with his dog,” Sara Mattler, who regularly encountered Gandolfini and Duke at the Beach Street Eatery in New York City, told WNYC. “He was always so sweet with his dog, and made sure the dog had water while he ran in on a hot day.”

Gandolfini’s doorman, Luis Rodriguez, was teary-eyed as he told the New York Times that when the generous and unpretentious actor returned home after walking his dog, he would often surprise him with gifts ranging from snacks to $100 bills.

In a series of photos posted on Zimbio in January 2010, Gandolfini is seen walking with a dog that appears to be a Pit Bull mix. He’s holding a filled poop bag in one hand and a leash in the other.

“James Gandolfini takes his dog for a walk and abides the city law of properly disposing of his pet’s droppings but fails to keep his dog on a leash, also per New York City law,” the caption reads.

Two months later, PEOPLE published a photo of the same dog sitting next to Gandolfini in the passenger seat of his car, with the caption, “You lookin’ at me? Former ‘Sopranos’ patriarch Gandolfini drives his dog around N.Y.C. on Wednesday, before stopping by a SoHo café for a bite.”

In 2006, Gandolfini was dog dad to a Puggle (a Pug-Beagle) mix, according to the New York Times.

Appropriately enough, the last movie Gandolfini made is titled “Animal Rescue.” It’s a crime drama that revolves around the rescue of a lost Pit Bull. Gandolfini plays a bartender who befriends the rescuer, played by Tom Hardy.

“I visited the set of ‘Animal Rescue’ in March,” wrote Steven Zeitchik in the Los Angeles Times. “I wasn’t lucky enough to be there when Gandolfini was working. But you could feel the buzz in the air, both from the other actors and the crew, who were describing a man more gentle and down to earth than the Tony Soprano-type they imagined. Apparently, when lunch was called, he didn’t retreat to his trailer like so many other actors but sat with the grippers and gaffes, talking about everything under the sun, including dogs, a big theme in the film.”

Gandolfini’s affection for dogs is obvious in this YouTube video uploaded in 2010 by mikethefanboy. The actor cuddles a fan’s small dog in his arms outside the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, after a performance of “God of Carnage.”

“He’s fluffy!” exclaims the portrayer of Tony Soprano, with a huge smile.

Boy Charged with Murdering Sister, 5, with WWE Wrestling Moves
steph

A 13-year-old boy from a New Orleans suburb was charged with second-degree murder in the death of his 5-year-old half-sister after investigators said he told them he repeatedly struck her with wrestling moves imitated from TV. "The 13-year-old reported he started to wrestle with the victim and practiced 'WWE' style wrestling moves on the 5-year-old," Col. John Fortunato of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office said in a news release Tuesday. Those moves allegedly included repeatedly slamming the girl on a bed, punching her in the stomach, jumping on her and striking her with his elbow. A coroner's investigation found the girl died of multiple injuries, including broken ribs, lacerations of the liver and internal bleeding.

In a statement released Tuesday, WWE offered condolences to the victim's family but cautioned against attributing the death to its industry.
"Authorities have already charged the accused with second-degree murder and determined that this was not an accidental death due to a wrestling move," the organization said. "As in similar cases, criminal intent to harm and a lack of parental supervision have been the factors resulting in a tragic death."

The boy had been left to babysit the girl by his stepmother when the alleged beating occurred, authorities said. After the beating, the girl later complained of a stomach ache. When she stopped breathing, the boy called 911. Emergency responders could not revive her and she was pronounced dead at a hospital. The boy was taken to a juvenile facility and booked on a second-degree murder arrest warrant after he was interviewed by homicide Detective Matt Vasquez. The detective said the boy told him that he knew the wrestling moves on TV were fake, but he was smiling and appeared to enjoy talking about them. "The 13-year-old continued by saying the victim complained that she was hurting, but he continued to slam, punch and elbow her for an additional two or three minutes, stopping when his mother called him on the phone to check on he and the victim," sheriff's officials said in the news release.

What Is The Difference Between Justin Bieber and One Direction's Sexualized Behavior?

$
0
0

oned

Despite being packaged as a sugary-sweet, PG-rated boy band, no one flinches when One Direction's band members engage in explicitly lewd behavior. From smoking to dating women their mothers' age to openly publicizing their respect for a voluminous rack, One Direction rarely receives any criticism for their outlandish, provocative behavior.

Wednesday, a video (below) of 1D bandmates Harry Styles and Zayn Malik going down and getting dirty during Tuesday night's concert in Ohio hit the web. After Harry jumped into a candy thong provided by a horny fan, Zayn kinkily bit off a piece. Risqué, say hey!

And yet, their young fans don't blink an eye. How is it that One Direction — whose ages range from 19-21 — can get away with this overly sexualized behavior? When Justin Bieber, 19, engages in similar stunts, he's torn apart. Bieber gets flack enough for his tats, alleged recreational marijuana use, and posting photos of fan's undergarments, but when One Direction pulls the same sh*t, they manage to avoid berating.

Bieber was birthed as a teen-heartthrob when he first released his 2009 smash "One Time," when he was just 15 years old. He was immediately pigeon-holed as the innocent, hair-swooshing, high-voiced pop star, so when he got older and attempted to step out of the squeaky clean bubble, his behavior — which, let's face it, is probably age appropriate — was perceived as lashing out. In comparison, 1D members Styles, Malik, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and the often-forgotten Louis Tomlinson (#shade), started out in the music biz already in the throws of teenage rebellion.

As such, the One Direction men get away with acting their age. Since their fans have no knowledge of their idols as pre-pubescent cherubs, they are free to give off the vibe that they are above their sugary music. They just don't really give a s**t, it seems, about the fact that their music and image is tailored towards tween gals. Despite their teeny-bopper lyrics, their personal lives and public image explode with shameless hyper-sexuality. And their older fans eat it all up.

One Direction is technically more of a manufactured product of pop culture than Bieber is, since Simon Cowell literally stuck the five late-teens together after they auditioned for the British X Factor as solo acts with the insight that, as a group, they had the potential to seize teens hearts everywhere. But while Bieber sprouted before E! News' camera lens, the One Direction guys were able to mature out of the spotlight. Their more "normal" adolescences shielded them (at least for a while) from the fame machine, allowing 1D members to maintain a sense of their individuality. While Bieber's recent antics seem like a call for help or a desperate attempt to prove his manhood,  I can't help but feel like the One Direction members are being their regular goofy, occasionally raunchy, selves. And who can fault them for that?

Another X factor (see what I did there?) could be that British audiences give greater lattitude of acceptance for sexual behavior in the public sphere. While America has a small tolerance for nudity on TV, reducing sexually explicit shows to only premium channels, British TV shows openly boast naked bods. Perhaps Brits are more chill with sexuality, so 1D's racy mannerisms don't really phase them. And when One Direction's mannerisms are transfered to an American audience, we are more willing to concede, "They're British, it's different over there." (Canada isn't granted the same leniency.)

We're not advocating that One Direction should be held to the same rigid standards Bieber is — we can all stand to loosen up a bit, and we don't exactly mind watching Harry and Zayn in their kinky element. Yet a discrepancy remains between One Direction's rather immature — yet awfully catchy — tunes geared towards a young audience, and their behavior. We're amazed and intrigued that there isn't more of a backlash against these lads, and that antics such as the candy thong don't drive young fans away. If anything, more and more fans wind up gawking at the British hunks. The reining Prince of Pop could serve to learn a thing or two from these British imports.

Stevie Nicks - the Fairy Godmother of Rock
Interview by Jada Yuan; Photo by Danny Clinch

Look to the shawls; let them show you the way. All night you’ve been anticipating their arrival on the Fleetwood Mac stage: the witchy moment when Stevie Nicks, that blonde chanteuse, abruptly disappears from view and, with a simple costume change she’s perfected over 35 years, reemerges a woman transformed, wrapped in fringed silk signaling a visitation by Rhiannon or Gold Dust Woman or the livid spurned lover of “Stand Back,” fine fabric unfurling from her delicate shoulders like the banner of an advancing army, heralding not just a song but the coming of an event. There may also be a wind machine, or perhaps you’re just imagining it. This was all to be expected, and somehow it still thrills. Twirling in the outstretched arms of Stevie Nicks, those shawls have magic in them.

No one rocks a shawl like Stevie Nicks. That much was evident at Madison Square Garden this spring, the third stop of a constantly extending, sold-out Fleetwood Mac world tour (coming to Jones Beach on June 22). Everywhere in the arena were homages to Stevie: top hats, feathers, flowing black fabric. And, of course, shawls. Fathers and daughters danced enthusiastically side by side, and the air was thick with the smell of furtive intergenerational pot smoking. Chances are, you or someone next to you was weeping during “Landslide,” with that chorus you might casually dismiss as cliché until you find yourself singing it in unison with 15,000 fans: “Time makes you bolder / Children get older / I’m getting older, too.”

Nicks’s 65th birthday was May 26, and she spent it twirling onstage at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Stevie Nicks, her generation’s great California girl sex symbol, who very publicly fought her way back from drug addiction and weight gain, now an aging rock star unafraid of the passage of time and, having long ago married her music, still an undefeated romantic searching for love. “She’s like your fairy princess godmother,” Courtney Love has said, “who’s gonna save you, and lives in a magical kingdom somewhere, and has, like, fabulous romances.”

Onstage, she’s still an aesthetic pioneer—her near-butt-length hair, fingerless gloves, knee-high black suede platform boots, and finely tailored dress in tatters all adding up to what she herself calls “the Stevie Nicks thing.” It’s a persona she’s said is drawn from the slinkiness of Grace Slick, the “humbleness” of Jimi Hendrix, and the attitude of Janis Joplin. Nicks had observed all three and opened for Hendrix and Joplin just out of high school in the late sixties as part of Fritz, her first musical partnership with Fleetwood Mac’s intense virtuoso guitarist Lindsey Buckingham. Buckingham is, with toweringly tall oddball drummer Mick Fleetwood, one of two ex-boyfriends Nicks performs with every night, a five-foot-one pixie singing with raspy conviction about her own heartbreak and resilience on the same stage as two men who’ve caused her pain. Or is it vice-versa?

Is Jake Gyllenhaal Dating Another Swimsuit Model?

Jake Gyllenhaal sure moves quickly!

Before we could even say "string bikini," it looks like the "End of Watch" actor has ditched his rumored girlfriend, model Emily DiDonato, in favor of another "Sports Illustrated" Swimsuit Issue stunner, Alyssa Miller.
The 32-year-old hunk was spotted making out with Miller, 23, at the Cold Process coffee shop at Pier 57 along the Hudson River in New York City.
According to an eyewitness, the loved-up duo couldn't get enough of each other and were very affectionate when they weren't locking lips. Our source said Gyllenhaal looked casual in a blue T-shirt and a black baseball cap, while his new lady friend rocked an all-denim ensemble.

Whether these two are indeed an official item is yet to be determined, but they definitely have one thing in common: They're both Yankees fans.

From Alyssa's instagram

The Guess model, who, according to Twitter, had to hit the road this week for work, tweeted a snap of a Yankees baseball cap with a heart and the caption, "Bringing NY with me." Her baseball cap is almost identical to to the one Jakey G regularly wears around town.
One has to wonder if that cap is actually hers or if it really belongs to another Yankees fan…

Toddlers and Tiaras mom developing energy elixir for toddlers

GoGo Juice is so last season.

The latest Toddlers & Tiaras scandal was born last week when pageant mom Tori Hensley was shown on-air giving a mix of Mountain Dew, Sweet Tea and Pixie Stix to her two-year-old daughter, Alexa, before a beauty pageant — and now, Tori is speaking exclusively to RadarOnline.com to defend her parenting, and announce her plans to market an energy drink geared toward children.

“We were approached to do an energy drink about two weeks after the show aired and we’re in the negotiation period with it,” Tori confirms.

“We’re gonna gear it for pageant kids and dance. And for hyperactive children, to help them.”

Tori says, “A lot of studies show that caffeine reverses the effects of hyperactive children. Instead of medications and pills and nasty chemicals, why not give them caffeine?”

For Tori’s daughter Alexa, however, Tori’s sugary concoction is the key to energetic pageant appearances. “We tried everything else to pep her up and it wasn’t working,” Tori explains. “So we came up with the mix.”

“I’ve tried it,” Tori says. “You know when you’re a kid and you’d mix everything at the soda fountain? It tastes like that. Not bad.

The drink’s effects on children, however, is not always so fabulous. Toddlers & Tiaras star Eden Wood‘s former manager, Heather Ryan, tells Radar, “I’ve been around the pageant world for 20 years, and I’ve seen the side effects of jacking your kids up on caffeine and sugar. There’s so many bad things I’ve seen to kids who have parents shoving sugar down their throats.”

“Massive tooth decay,” Heather says. “Obesity. And then, they crash and they’re cranky and overindulged. The parents bribe them to be in a good mood. It’s a mad cycle. It’s never-ending.”

But Tori insists Alexa is perfectly fine with Tinker Tea as part of her diet. “She’s totally healthy!” Tori said. “Everyone’s all, ‘She’s going to be a stripper with diabetes!’ and that’s crazy. She’s a normal two-year-old.”

And while Tori does admit Alexa is “a popsicle junkie,” who plows through several boxes of popsicles a day, “Her regular diet consists of grapes and cheese. Green beans. She loves asparagus.”

“Anything green, she’ll eat,” Tori says. “She loves vegetables and she’s always loved them.”

But her favorite food growing up? Slim Jims, says Tori, who gave them to her daughter as a newborn.

“Alexa was born with her two bottom teeth,” which runs in the family, Tori says.“And as a newborn we’d let her gnaw on Slim Jims. She loved them.”

Check out this photo of Alexa around 9 or 10-months old chomping on a Slim Jim:

“She always had her own little quirks,” Tori says. And it’s only now that they’re coming under criticism. But Tori’s undeterred.

“We’re still doing pageants,” she reveals. “She’ll continue to do pageants until she tells me she doesn’t want to do them any more!”

Meet Alexa Hensley or, as most call her, Lex. This sweet pageant queen may be only two but she’s very bright, talented and funny. Alexa loves to play on her iPad, being outside and do pageants. This lack of grammatical parallelism is bothering me

This adorable sweetheart will be featured in the Premiere of the 6th Season of Toddlers and Tiaras – but that’s not the only interesting thing about this contestant!

The 2 year old princess is the holder of the “Tinker Tea” phenomenon!
Whenever it’s pageant day, mom Tori mixes Mountain Dew, bottled sweet tea and Pixy Stix powder in a pretty pink sippy cup! But don’t worry – Alexa is very healthy and the doctor has stated that it’s alright as long as the little tot is not taking it on a daily basis.

To know more about Alexa and the journey through the making of her episode, I sat down with her sweet mom, Tori Hensley for a quick interview. I hope you enjoy!

Maria: Being on National Television is certainly a big deal, especially when we’re talking about such a big hit show as Toddlers and Tiaras. Why did you want your child to be featured?
Tori: “Lex is only two and has so much potential, most agencies won’t even look at her because of her age, so I figured why not do a show that highlights all of her amazing talents so her name will get out there. She loves to do pageants and you’ll see in the episode how amazing she is for just being two.”

M: Did your family support you with this decision?
T: “Absolutely. My family supported her and myself with this decision. My parents have been there since the first pageant. Her father actually had no idea we even got casted ’till the day after the pageant. He is in the military and was in California for training where they don’t allow phone calls for a month.”

M: I believe that several cameras around a young child can be very distracting and exciting. How was your kid’s first reaction to the filming crew? How was the team to you and your child?
T: “Alexa did great with the film crew and they were AMAZING with her. It took her about 10 minutes to warm up to them, after that she didn’t want them to leave.”

M: I know that sometimes things go wrong. Did any mishaps occurred during the competition your child was in while being filmed?
T: “We had mishaps before the pageant, her dress didn’t show up ’till the night before the pageant and we had no idea if it fit or not. One of her hair pieces never showed up either, so we were dealing with one hair piece for the whole pageant.”

M: There has been several kids in this show with unique ‘signature marks’ such as Honey Boo Boo’s “Go Go Juice”; MaKenzie Myer’s “NiNi”; Samara Ash’s “Chooky Moves”; Taralyn’s “My read hair lights the stage on fire!” line. What makes your little one stand out in the crowd and what do you think people will remember her for?
T: “Lex has a few thing – she has her “Tinker Tea” & ” Coffee mornings”, she also has her yuckie (pacifier) and her fuzzy (blanket) she has a liking to make up and wants you to focus only on her. I think that most people will remember her for how amazing and bright this two year old is.”

M: Sometimes the show ends up by portraying the families in a less favorable manner by twisting their words or acts. Are you worried that this might happen to you?
T: “Signing up for the show we knew what all they could do with editing but we are prepared for it. Our friends and family know what is true with us.”

M: Do you fear any criticism after your child’s episode? As you might know, there are several websites that review Toddlers and Tiaras episodes and most of them in a not so very nice way. Are you concerned that people may judge you or your lifestyle because of this episode?
T: “I actually find most of the reviews funny because I’m usually thinking the same thing. It’s in our DNA to judge people, it’s just what humans do. I know I’m a great parent and most children do not have the opportunities that my child has.”

M: Overall, how do you feel about this whole experience? Would you ever consider do it again if given the opportunity to?
T: “We loved doing the show. It was such an honor that Lex got casted. We would definitely do it again if it was offered. We couldn’t of Couldn't of, really asked for a better Pageant Director, film crew, and everyone else that helped with the pageant. It was wonderful.”

I want to thank Miss Tori for taking her time to do the interview and for being so nice. Don’t forget to tune into TLC on the 5th June at 9PM ET/PT for the PREMIERE of the 6th Season of Toddlers and Tiaras.

Watch out… Here comes Alexa!

David Lynch is set to join forces with Nine Inch Nails in order to direct the video for their song 'Came Back Haunted'.

The band's frontman Trent Reznor tweeted a picture of himself and the legendary film director earlier today (June 18) and Pitchfork reports that the pair are once again working together after collaborating on Lynch's 1997 film Lost Highway.

'Came Back Haunted' comes from the band's new album 'Hesitation Marks', which is set for a September 3 release – scroll down to hear the track. Nine Inch Nails play this summer's Reading and Leeds Festivals.

Meanwhile David Lynch recently announced details of his own second album 'The Big Dream'. The album is the Twin Peaks director's follow-up to his 2011 debut, 'Crazy Clown Time'. It features a cover of Bob Dylan's 'The Ballad Of Hollis Brown' and also includes a collaboration with Lykke Li called 'I'm Waiting Here'. Lynch praised the Swedish singer in a press release announcing the album, saying: "She brought her own style to this song, which has a doo-wop sort of thing going on, but in a way it's far-removed from the '50s." 'The Big Dream' will be released on July 15 on Sunday Best Recordings.

Brooke Burke-Charvet: Melissa Etheridge's Angelina Jolie Comments Crossed the Line

Thyroid cancer survivor Brooke Burke-Charvet thinks Melissa Etheridge crossed the line when she publicly criticized Angelina Jolie's decision to have a double mastectomy as more "fearful" than "brave."
"I feel like to comment on somebody else's decision and their motivation and to criticize it in any way feels really inappropriate for me," says the Dancing With the Stars host, who underwent a thyroidectomy after being diagnosed with cancer last year.
"And I bite my tongue because Angelina is not a personal friend and I can't speak about her experience, but doing something electively to avoid greats odds that you can have a fatal disease, not only is it brave, but I think it's pretty intelligent."
Burke-Charvet said doctors gave her the option of removing just half of her thyroid. "Different medical experts have different opinions," she said. "For me, as a mother of four and a wife, I went and got [a thyroidectomy]. I'm fighting to stay alive for my family—at all costs."

UPDATE
The Grammy winner is clarifying what she meant in a statement to E! News released through her rep.
"I don't have any opinion of what she 'should have' done," Etheridge said. "All are free to choose. I only objected to the term 'brave' describing it."(shut up already!)

Angelina Jolie stunt double the first person to sue News Corp. in America for phone hacking.

A former Hollywood stunt double has sued News Corp and its subsidiary News International, accusing the companies of ordering the hacking of her phone.

The suit, the first such claim from the US, was filed by Eunice Huthart, a British former double for Hollywood star Angelina Jolie.

In the suit, the Liverpool resident alleges messages from family, friends and Ms Jolie were intercepted and in some cases deleted.

News Corp declined to comment.

In a civil complaint filed on 13 June, Ms Huthart seeks damages for violations of federal and California laws and "intrusion into private affairs".

According to IMDB, Ms Huthart worked as Ms Jolie's stunt double on the films Wanted, Mr and Mrs Smith, and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

In the court filing, she describes herself as a close friend of Ms Jolie, and says the pair "often travelled and socialized together".

Ms Huthart said that in 2004-05, some friends and relatives complained she had not returned their phone calls, and she in turn complained to her mobile phone provider that voice messages were being lost in their system.

She said Ms Jolie left messages concerning travel arrangements and other plans, which Ms Huthart never received.

Ms Huthart claims News Corp hacked into her phone seeking information about Angelina Jolie

She added that her daughter left messages complaining about bullying in school in Liverpool, which she also never received - rendering her unable to console her daughter. Ms Huthart said her husband had also criticised her for not responding to his messages.

Ms Huthart says her name, telephone number and other private information appeared in the notes of Glenn Mulcaire, the private investigator who worked for News Corp's News of the World and was jailed in January 2007 for unlawfully intercepting voicemail messages received by royal aides.

Ms Huthart"believes that they were hacking her cellular telephone as a means to obtain information about Ms Jolie", says the court filing.

Phone hacking arrests

According to the suit, The Sun newspaper published several news stories based on information illicitly obtained from Ms Huthart's mobile phone messages.

Revelations about phone hacking in the UK led News Corp boss Rupert Murdoch to close the News of the World newspaper in July 2011.

The investigation into phone hacking claims and payments to public officials for information has led to scores of arrests of journalists, police officers and other public officials.

Among those charged were Rebekah Brooks, a former News International executive, and Andy Coulson, former News of the World editor and ex-communications chief for UK Prime Minister David Cameron.

UK police have identified more than 4,000 possible victims of phone hacking included politicians, celebrities, actors, athletes, relatives of dead UK soldiers, and victims of the 7/7 London bombings.

The suit comes days before News Corp is to be split into two companies, one for its entertainment assets and the other for its publishing business. Mr Murdoch is to be chairman of both firms.
