Remember the early 2000's when you wore puka shells and didn't know about the Texas-sized garbage patch floating in the Pacific Ocean? Ah, the golden days. Here's a list of powerful pop/punk/rock ladies that will remind you of what it was like to not have bills!

Lillix (2003)

These pop/rockers from Canada formed under the original name "Tigerlily" in 1997. The band was signed in 2001 and changed their name to "Lillix" due to another band being named Tigerlilly. Their debut album "Falling Uphill" was released in 2003 and had their "What I Like About You" cover featured on the "Freaky Friday" soundtrack. The two Evin sisters are the only Lillix band members left after their original label, Maverick Records, went under in 2006.

Skye Sweetnam (2004)

One of the first "Avril" copies, this fellow Canadian achieved mainstream success in 2003 with her shakespearean single Billy S. Her debut album "Noise from the basement" was released over a year later in 2004 with her biggest hit "Tangled Up In Me". Now known by the stage name "Sever" she is currently the lead singer of the alt-metal band "Sumo Cyco".

Krystal Harris (2001)

An oldie but a goodie, Krystal Harris got her first big break touring as the opening act for the Backstreet Boys on their "Black & Blue" tour. She received further popularity and acclaim with her hit song "Supergirl!" that was featured on "The Princess Diaries" soundtrack. That's about all the magic we got out of Ms. Harris but her "girl power" impact made a lasting impression on young tweens everywhere!

The Donnas (2002)

An American rock band from Cali, The Donnas drew inspiration from the Ramones, The Runaways, AC/DC, and Kiss. After garnering a strong indie following in the late 90's, the band finally achieved mainstream success after signing with Atlantic Records in 2002 with their hit album "Spend The Night". If you didn't see the "Take It Off" music video every morning on VH1 while getting ready for school you probably didn't graduate tbh.

Fefe Dobson (2003)

Canada's Fefe Dobson had multiple bops but never received the recognition she deserved. Dobson's self titled debut album featured hit songs "Take Me Away", "Everything", and the woke single "Don't Go (Girls & Boys)". Dobson was back in the studio three years later working on her second album "Sunday Love" but was fired from Island Records just days before the album was supposed to hit shelves. The album remained unreleased for six years until its digital release in 2012. Fefe has since released her official sophomore album "Joy" in 2010, became engaged to rapper Yelawolf in 2013, and is currently recording her fourth studio album "Firebird".

Ben Affleck's Batman Future in Doubt as Warner Bros. Plots Franchise

Source says the studio is working on plans to usher out Affleck’s Batman gracefully.
When and how that might happen has yet to be determined.
Affleck would be pushing 50 before The Batman arrives in theaters. His body hasn’t exactly been a temple.
If Reeves makes a trilogy, Affleck would be in his mid-50s at best by the time that’s done.

It's no secret that some bops have come from Disney Channel and Disney's music label Hollywood Records, so here are 10 catchy songs that have come from Disney, either from DCOM soundtracks, Hollywood films that heavily featured on the channel or from Hollywood Records artists.


10. Supernova Girl - Zenon Girl of the 21st Century



Frosted tips, made up futuristic lingo, and an electronic beat. Proto Zoa was ahead of his time.

9. SOS - Jonas Brothers



This was played during every.single.commercial on Disney Channel in 2007. We know all the words. It was also the band's first single to enter the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.

8. What Dreams Are Made Of - The Lizzie McGuire Movie



Kate Saunders who? Lizzie McGuire can sang. Fun fact Hilary's vocals are mixed with her sister Haylie's.

7. Breaking Free - High School Musical



HSM was (is?) the most succesful DCOM ever and despite the minor scandal that Zac Efron did provide his own vocals in HSM1 that didn't stop the soundtrack from being wildly popular and lbr very catchy.

6. Backflip - Raven Symone



Raven tries to get her man (Ricky from Boyz in Motion!) to act right in this underrated gem. Could have made a little impact on the charts and urban radio with the right promo

5. Come Clean - Hilary Duff



We still don't know what the video's about but angsty!Hilary came through. Also was theme song for MTV's iconic Laguna Beach and Newport Harbor.

4. Push It To The Limit - Corbin Bleu



A catchy bop that was featured in the underrated classic Jump In. Do you think Corbin would have been succesful if he stuck with music ONTD?

3. Chemicals React - Aly and AJ




The pop rock sister duo released jams all throughout the 2000s. They briefly changed their name to 78violet but now are back to Aly and AJ and recently released an EP!

On how re reconciled with Zayn, after not talking to him for over a year:
"My mum said, ‘You’ve got to get back in contact with Zayn. Life’s too fucking short’. A mother’s intuition is just fucking crazy. It always felt supernatural to me. My mum always knew what I was feeling and what I wanted. I can’t stand to hold a grudge with anyone. It doesn’t sit with me right. If there is any animosity, just clear the air. I met up with him and it was nice. Zayn was always good for me in the band because he was my go-to if I wanted to piss around, lark around. I could always break the rules a little bit with Zayn. I would always see the good in Zayn and also watch him shoot himself in the foot with some of his decisions, but he’s just a little misunderstood. So after that whole thing, it was that brotherly love. We will always have that love for each other. I can’t speak on behalf of him but we really care about each other.”

On Freddie and fatherhood:
“I wouldn’t have made this decision if someone asked me on the day, but thank God that the decision was made for me because it’s just a blessing to be this age and to be able to have a child. What I loved about my relationship with my mum — she had me very young when she was 19 — is that it never felt like there was a generation gap. I witnessed that with so many of my friends. You know, ‘My mum just doesn’t get it’. Hopefully because of the closeness in age, I will be able to give that to Freddie, too.”

“There are a lot of men for who the idea of having a child is really intimidating but I’ve grown up around kids. My mum was a midwife, so I’d forever be holding kids if she wasn’t popping them out herself. It took that kind of fear away from me because what I saw in my mum is that all it takes is relentless consideration and love. The actual science of it isn’t too fucking hard. Fundamentally it’s about being as good as you possibly can. I just still don’t ever like saying that I feel like I’ve grown up. I think there’s definitely still that naivety and immaturity to me. When I’m with me lads and I want to feel like a young 25-year- old then absolutely. But when I’m with Freddie and I want to feel like a really credible, good dad, I feel like I do that as well. So it’s almost kind of playing two different roles.”

About dealing with his mum passing and his upbringing:
"Throughout the time after my mum died I felt the support. It stretched past the fan base. People did have my back, it was a really nice feeling. My mum worked two jobs, we lived upstairs above a newsagents. All that life in Doncaster, working class and seeing the struggle, just teaches you to have thick skin. Of course I could dwell on anything and go, ‘I feel really gloomy about that’. But I just have this ability, that has to have been forced by my mum, to just get on with shit. Obviously that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t hurt, and that I don’t think about it. But I know me mum wouldn’t want me to walk around being gloomy all the time, so I try my best just to pick myself up when I can. Of course, there are times . . . and that’s why Eleanor has been so fantastic for me. And my best mate Oli and my sister because when I do need to talk, I have those people. I’m thankful that my mum pushed everything on to me because I know I’m dealing with it really well. But will it come back and crash down on me in two or three years? I don’t know. As far as I am right now, I feel like I’ve got an understanding over the situation and perspective.”

“I could sit and dwell and say, ‘I’ve had such a shit ride’ and ‘It was fucking really difficult in One Direction at times and it was really difficult with my mum, and Freddie was sprung upon me and blah blah blah’. But I don’t fucking need that sympathy, quite frankly, do you know what I mean? Yes maybe mine is a little bit harder or harsher, but everyone has their own fucking shit to deal with. So I think it’s just one of those things where if you want to continue to hopefully succeed in life, you’ve got to try and work past it as practically as you can."

About the album being really personal:
“There’s another song on the album called 'Always You' and it’s kind of about my story of travelling the world and just being a fucking idiot and going, ‘Of course it was always you’. Here’s the thing, when you listen to my album, you won’t have to read between the lines. You’ll know what’s about Eleanor, you’ll know what’s about me, you’ll know what’s about the fans, you know it might hint a little bit about the relationship with my mum. I want to make everything as honest and obvious as possible.” (I'm sure the Larries are already shitting themselves over his bluntness.)

Edward Kobina Enninful OBE DID THAT and hired Queen Naomi, Oscar/Turner Prize Winner Steve McQueen and US Vogue Creative director Grace Coddington, to serve as contributing editors under his new leadership.

EE describes his hires as '“friends and colleagues”, all of whom happened to grow up working class.

Kate Moss will continue to be a contributing editor, but there is no word on whether Alexa Chung will be thin and shill 'French style' high street basics, elsewhere.

Naomi and EE have been besties for years and attended the Met Gala together. Grace Coddington is a fan of EE and his work and in him shaping his version of the magazine, will likely have more freedom at UK Vogue than at US. Some have speculated Grace may eventually get the EIC position, as she is British, but she has not publically stated whether or not she would want to do so.

Katie Grand (a contender for the EIC position given to EE) is now a contributing fashion director at W, filling EE's former job, although she will stay on as editor of LOVE Magazine.

All three magazines are owned by Conde Nast.

"Dream Daddy" is an instant hit on Steam

Dream Daddy, a dating sim from Game Grumps, was released yesterday and immediately went to number one on Steam. In this game you are a single gay dad and you move into a neighborhood full of other single gay dads. The goal is to go on dates and find your ~dream daddy~.

The game is getting a lot of attention for the positive representation it's giving the LGBTQ community. It even features transgender character design options and transgender love interests. Although there was a lot of skepticism prior to release about how these characters would be handled, today it's being praised for fantastic writing and character development.

Last Saturday, Ashley Benson posted a random picture of Woody Allen and Mariel Hemingway on her Instagram without a caption bc she's ~artsy like that. I OBVIOUSLY made a post because I had nothing better to do with my time. Nothing more needs to be said on why anything positive posted about Woody Allen is offensive. Ashley Benson then posted the same picture on her twitter the next day even after receiving criticism on Instagram and ONTD. I would like to think she receives google alerts about herself #myimpact. I put together some of the insensitive things Ashley Benson has done!

1) Ashley's "don't do drugs" tweet after the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman and wearing a t-shirt that says "DJ Heroin" on it a few days later.





2) Mocking Amanda Bynes while she was being treated for a severe mental illness
She apologized after receiving criticism and stated that she didn't know what Amanda was going through.



3) Ashley posed as Cecil the lion who was killed in Zimbabwe by a Minnesota dentist. She apologized afterwards, which seems to be a trend with her, and had her management handle the post and take care of it.

Austin and Britt Null are part of the YouTube famous Nive Nulls. Austin posted this video today announcing that he and Britt are separated and are getting a divorce (at his request). Austin was caught cheating on Britt about a year ago (in easily the weirdest video ever), he confessed and they "worked" on their marriage. They've been in therapy for a year and in this video, he admits that he's cheated again (in not so many words) and is no longer happy in the marriage. Word on the skreeets is that he's got a current sidechick who he's left Britt for. Britt will continue the YouTube channel without Austin.

- Spicey quit! Spicey's ego was bruised after the position of communications director went to a huge Democrat donor in Anthony Scaramucci. Due to the this, Spicey had enough and quit.
- Again, Scaramucci has donated to the Democratic party for years and donated to both Obama and Hillary Clinton. He's also starting to delete all his negative tweets about Trump.
- Last night, NYT and WaPo both broke the news that Trump is asking his lawyers if he can pardon himself and those involved in the #Trussia scandal. They're also trying to dig dirt up on Mueller's investigators and his conflict of interest. They did find something huge! Mueller quit Trump's golf club 5 years ago. Scandalous!
