Mondays are definitely a great day on the SyFy channel, and this coming Monday is no exception.
After their mid-season breaks, all our favorite shows are starting back up again next week!
New Trailer for Being Human!
![]()
Sam Witwer (Aidan), Meaghan Rath (Sally) and Sam Huntington (Josh) are three paranormal roommates (a vampire, ghost and werewolf) all trying to hold onto the remnants of their human lives while sharing each other's secrets and a brownstone. Kristen Hager, who has played Josh's girlfriend Nora (also a werewolf) for the past two seasons, becomes a series regular this season.
The new season of Being Human picks up 15 months after the events of last season's riveting finale which ended with Aidan buried alive as punishment from vampire leader Mother, Sally lost in a state of limbo, and Josh's plot to kill Ray, his werewolf "maker," endangering Nora instead.
Season 3 features new and returning guest stars including Mark Pellegrino, Amy Aquino, Xander Berkeley, Bobby Campo and Kyle Schmid.
New Lost Girl promo!
![]()
The victory in the final battle of Season 2 has created new alliances for Bo (series star Anna Silk) along with reinvigorating old enemies, like "The Morrigan," played by Emmanuelle Vaugier (Two and a Half Men, Human Target), whom Bo crossed in an attempt to bring peace to the Faedom. Now Bo, who until now has refused to pick a side, will be forced to make a deadly decision. Among the guest stars will be Linda Hamilton ("Terminator") and joining the Lost Girl cast this season is Rachel Skarsten (The Vow, Flashpoint) in a recurring role as "Tamsin," a thrill-seeking, sexy new Fae who ruffles many feathers.
Returning for season three are Kris Holden-Ried (The Tudors, Underworld 4) as "Dyson"; Ksenia Solo (Life Unexpected, BLACK SWAN) as "Kenzi"; Zoie Palmer (The Guard, Instant Star) as "Lauren"; Rick Howland (Billable Hours, Murdoch Mysteries) as "Trick" and K.C. Collins (Owning Mahowny, Doomstown) as "Hale."
New Continuum promo!
![]()
In the year 2077, the government has been bailed out by the corporations. The only cost was a couple of human rights. But, as the majority seems fairly happy with the situation, they apparently were a couple of rights nobody was using anyway.
But a certain terrorist group, LIBER8, feels differently, and they've been perpetrating various acts -- you know, demolishing skyscrapers full of people, that kind of thing -- and ending up in prison.
Enter Protector Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols, Criminal Minds), a cop who loves her husband, her family, and her career. She's been outfitted, like most CPS officers, with the latest nanotechnology and uniform, all of which runs off her thoughts. On the day of the sentencing, she's been selected to be present as a witness. But what she witnesses is all the members secretly maneuvering until they assemble a tiny device of unknown purpose. She rushes in just as it's activated...
...and comes to consciousness in a pile of rubble in 2012, with the other terrorists coming to before her and well on their way to wherever.
Continuum is a little bit "Timecop" with a lot of nice plot twists, an engaging story, and a sexy but very relatable heroine. X Files fans will delight at the cameo appearances by William B. Davis -- but the real jaw dropper comes at the end of the pilot episode, when we learn the inexact nature, but exact identity, of the character Davis is playing! This is going to be Syfy's 2013 television crack: one hit, and you'll be hooked for the series!

New Defiance promo!
![]()
Defiance, an unprecedented approach to storytelling, will unite scripted television and online gaming for the very first time. Both the series and the game feature an interconnected world and storylines that will launch in early April with the release of the game and continue seamlessly with the series premiere on the 15th.
About Defiance: Set in the near future, Defiance introduces an exotically transformed planet Earth, its landscapes permanently altered following the sudden – and tumultuous – arrival of seven unique alien races. In this somewhat unknown and unpredictable landscape, the richly diverse, newly-formed civilization of humans and aliens must learn to co-exist peacefully. Each week, viewers will follow an immersive character drama set in the boom-town of Defiance, which sits atop the ruins of St. Louis, MO, while in the game, players will adventure in the new frontier of the San Francisco Bay area. The dramatic tapestry of the series and the intense action of the game will exist in a single universe where their respective narratives will inform one another and evolve together into one overall story.
Defiance stars Grant Bowler (Nolan), Julie Benz (Amanda Rosewater), Stephanie Leonidas (Irisa), Tony Curran (Datak Tarr), Jaime Murray (Stahma Tarr), Graham Greene (Rafe McCawley) and Mia Kirshner (Kenya).
