-Tomorrow, April 9th, is officially Riot Grrrl Day in Boston, MA
-Kathleen Hanna's band, the Julie Ruin, is performing in the city tomorrow and the Chief of Police Joyce Lineham will present her with the official proclamation (see below)
-Lineham and Hanna are buddies who go "way back"
-Mayor Mahty Walsh's proclamation is based off of Hanna's Riot Grrrl Manifesto
-No other reason for this but Mayor Walsh wanting to fight the growing misogyny girls face

The Layover, directed by William H. Macy, stars Kate Upton and Lea Michele as life long best friends chasing after the same guy, after they find themselves stuck in the St. Louis airport when their flight is grounded due to a hurricane.

The Layover starts filming later this month in Vancouver.

Britney uploaded this rehearsal pic on insta with the cheeky caption "aren't these girls pretty ;)" which can only mean that the music video for the upcoming Pretty Girls single is shooting pretty soon!







Also, Britney -being the bad bitch that she is- has been caught in the midst of an international technology incident! So the story goes down like this: back in 2002 Britney was involved with the Texas-based company Smartflash and now its investor is claiming that the company's patents have been infringed upon by Apple's iTunes and Samsung's MediaHub respectively. However Samsung has already won a court ruling which stated that those patents should have never been granted in the first place. Additionally, in a surprising move, Samsung has also come to Apple's defense in an attempt to save it from a $533 million lawsuit from Smartflash inventor Patrick Racz, who claims Britney’s involvement. So basically Britney is basically the only person on Earth that can make Samsung and Apple work together #whenwillyourfaves.

Alyssa Milano was traveling through the Heathrow Airport and had her breast milk confiscated while going through security. She took to twitter to express her frustration. Heathrow Airport has not tweeted her back.

Chinese film company, DMG Entertainment, will develop Mini-Marilyn for animated film.



According to WSJ, the idea is to get Marilyn to appeal to Chinese audiences, especially female film goers (who are the driving force of film audiences). They hope her Toon character turns into something iconic like, Hello Kitty or Mickey Mouse.

Dan Mintz, DMG’s chief executive and co-founder, says Marilyn is not very well known - other than her iconic image from "Seven Year Itch." Mintz says her chinese name is, Meng Lu.

Mini-Marilyn will appear in short previews over the next few months before landing in feature films, TV shows, short form digital content, video games, mobile apps, music and live venue attractions.

Yaphet Kotto, the first ever black Bond villain (and Homicide: Life on the Street alum) was asked in a interview to Big Issue about the controversy of Roger Moore's 'English-English' comments and answered:

“He cannot be black. Political correctness be damned, [we] have to stay with what is literally correct." He goes on to say "James Bond was established by Ian Fleming as a white character, played by white actors. Play 003 or 006, but you cannot be 007. A lot of people say we should be allowed to play everything. Don’t be ridiculous. If I say I want to play JFK, I should be laughed out of the room. Black men should stop trying to play roles created by whites. These roles are not written for black men. We have pens [to create] roles that no one else has established.”
