Hilary Duff's teal locks are courtesy of Nine Zero One stylist Amber Maynard. Yahoo Beauty got the scoop on Hilary's new do:

Amber Maynard explains that the hair colour change was inspiration from Hilary's weekend in Mexico. Amber says Hilary saw a photo of a model with the hue, and she wanted take on the challenge. This "washed up mermaid" is a different look for Hilary, from her typical blonde locks. Amber says she manages to pull it off with her regular beachy waves she's usually rocking.

She says it was a two step process with Hilary. First she applied the colour on Hilary's previously blonde hair. She explains "We decided she needed more of a POP, and brought the colour up to her scalp." She says it really changed the whole and really brought out her eyes.

If you're going for a rainbow hue Amber recommends L’Oréal Paris Absolut Repair Lipidium Shampoo and Mask as well as the No. 3 Olaplex Bond Multiplier once a week.

What do we think of her new look? It actually looks good on her in this particular photo!

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences recently changed its Emmy submission rules. One of the big changes was that only shows whose episodes are 30 minutes or less will be eligible as a comedy. Hour-long shows are now automatically considered dramas. The Academy did leave a loophole: producers are allowed to petition a nine-member academy panel to have their series entered in a different category. Two-thirds of the panel have to agree in order for the petition to be approved.

On Friday, Netflix was informed that its petition to consider OITNB as a comedy was rejected. Oop.

Good news for fans of some other hour-long dramedies, though... the Academy voted to approve considering the CW's Jane the Virgin, Fox's Glee, and Showtime's Shameless as comedies.

    agree/disagree with the academy's decisions?

(it's cute that the cw thinks that jtv has a shot at an emmy)

“When you are a high profile celeb in the public eye, the stresses and strains are likely to be enormous,” Dr Sandi Mann, senior lecturer in psychology at the University of Central Lancashire tells The Independent.

“Many ‘ordinary’ people think that it must be easy street at the top, but there are different pressures; living in a goldfish bowl where your every action, word, tweet and nose-scratch is observed, commented on and shared must present an enormous strain.

“It is also harder to admit you are not coping– it is hard for anyone to admit that, but when you are such a public figure, you know that the intense interest that such an admission will generate will be massive.”

“We all experience stress at some point in our lives but there are some professionals which are more pressured,” Dr Georgina M. Hosang, an expert in life stress and depression at Goldsmiths University, adds.

“Being a celebrity, particularly a music artist, is a demanding career path which often requires long days, high productivity and media scrutiny.  Lack of sleep and being subjective to public criticism is likely to impact on one's mood and self-esteem.”

Dr Mann points out that, unlike when we break bones, catch illnesses or suffer physical illness, mental ill health is often not visible and therefore treated very differently.

    “It shouldn’t be,” she says.

“Stress and mental ill health are major issues today, especially with young people. We need to teach young people to cope with stress and mental health problems in schools so I hope this will help raise awareness for young people and the general public.”

  • 03/20/15--13:15: Vogue turns 25!

  • 25 years ago today one of the most iconic pop songs of all time was released! Vogue, the first single off Madonna's "I’m Breathless: Music from and Inspired by the Film Dick Tracy" premiered on March 20, 1990 while the stunning black and white video shot by David Fincher came a few days later on March 29th. Let's take a trip down M memory lane and properly appreciate one of the most pivotal and career-defining songs ever released.

    The music video

Madonna took the dance style of voguing from the gay ballroom scene to the dance floor of every club in the world with the video for Vogue which was inspired by dancers and choreographers Jose and Luis Xtravaganza from the Harlem “House Ball” community.

    The VMA performance

Following the incredible reception of the song and the video, Madonna took the VMA stage for an elaborate French-renaisance inspired performance, which is still considered one of the best in the history of the award show.

    The best tour performance

Although performed in many of her tours, the standout performance came from Madonna's 2004 comeback "Re-Invention Tour" where she not only brought the 1990 aesthetic back but also performed an incredible dance routine culminating in a back-bend dance break.

Evan Marriott, better known as Joe Millionaire, recently attended a WE Tv panel on the Evolution of Relationship Reality Shows.  Here are some of this thoughts of fame and its psychological effect.

What he's doing now - "I went back to work. I'm a contractor. I did my first job... I got it, and literally was almost in tears. I called my dad and said, 'I feel like I've just been paroled, this is where I should have been, you know?"

How his friends had to get him back on track - "[They] said, 'You can't come by our offices and just hang out anymore, and say: 'What are you doing today?' It was like, 'What are YOU doing today?' And I was just going to the bar."

The literal overnight fame he had with the show - "It's as simple as this: I was staying at Central Park South, the night of the first show. I went to bed as Evan Marriott and the next day, when I went out on the street, people were literally — this is not an exaggeration — people were at stoplights in their cars, yelling out at me, 'Joe! Joe!' And I'm going, 'Who the hell is Joe?' ."

Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell has completed his first solo album in six years, which he credits to his reunion with his old band Soundgarden."One thing about a solo artist is you can just be in a room way too long with yourself and your own thoughts and your own songs, and it feels really good to be working with Ben [Shepherd, bassist] and Matt [Cameron, drummer] and Kim [Thayil, guitarist] again, and it's actually a really nice reprieve also from just being alone, doing what I do. It's helping with the balance, I think, too."

Hopefully this album is better than "Scream," which drew ridicule from fans and musicians like Trent Reznor.

Rumors have been abounding online that Hideo Kojima is leaving Konami after his name has been removed from boxart, studios, and Konami's websites. No official word has been stated at this time on Kojima's departure, but this recent statement from Konami on their plans for the Metal Gear series strengthens the rumors:

    To Customers,

Thank you for your continued patronage of KONAMI products and services.

The latest title in the METAL GEAR series,"METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN" (below, "MGSV: TPP"), will be released as planned starting on Tuesday, September 1st, 2015 in North America, Latin America, and Europe, followed by Japan and Asia on Wednesday, September 2nd. Hideo Kojima will remain involved throughout.

Hideo Kojima stated, "I want to reassure fans that I am 100% involved and will continue working on METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN; I'm determined to make it the greatest game I've directed to date. Don't miss it!"

In addition, KONAMI will continue to develop and distribute top-quality content in the METAL GEAR series following "MGSV: TPP." We greatly anticipate and deeply appreciate your ongoing support for METAL GEAR.3

As the next step in the series, KONAMI has already resolved to develop new "METAL GEAR".

We will be conducting interviews for main staff to lead the development.

Hideo Kojima is likely not leaving Konami until December well after MGSV is out, yet there is still nothing to be said on how this may affect the Silent Hills project also being co-helmed by film director Guillermo del Toro and starring Norman Reedus.

Hey mods, the only thing I copied from the article is Konami's official statement on Metal Gear all italicized. Looks like Phantom Pain will truly be Hideo's final Metal Gear.
