IRL Lagertha taught self-defense to the cast and crew of Vikings
Katheryn Winnick holds a third-degree black belt in tae kwon do and a second-degree black belt in karate. In addition, she teaches self-defense and performs her own stunts on the show. In fact, she’s taught self-defense to her fellow cast members, and she’s in the process of opening up her new business— Win Kai Self-Defense
"I taught self-defense to the women on 'Vikings,' and the background actors and the crew and the people who work in the office, and we had a huge turnout. And I was just on set yesterday and one of the other women said, “Can we do it again?” I love to see women transform, and I think every woman needs to learn that and to have the confidence that they can defend themselves. It is something I feel every woman can do no matter your age, no matter your physical ability. It’s a necessity.

EA Closes Maxis Emeryville
On March 4, 2015, EA announced they will be closing Maxis Emeryville. Known for older Sims titles before The Sims Studio, Spore and the latest SimCity, Maxis Emeryville has been around for many years and has created many fan favourites.
What this means:
1. There will be no more SimCity games. Ever. SimCity (2013) was so bad they had to close the entire studio down.
2. It was also SO BAD that everyone who worked in the studio is now fired:

Skepta - Shutdown ft. Drake (kind of)
Hot on the heels of his appearance with Kanye at the Brits, London grime artist Skepta has released 'Shutdown' from his soon coming album '#Konnichiwa'. In return for Drake borrowing a line from his track 'That's Not Me' in Lil Wayne's 'Used To', Skepta samples Drake's "truss mi daddi"vine and also a clip of a bossy woman complaining about the Brits performance.

Radio Station Royal Prank Call Broke the Law

The Australian High Court has ruled Sydney radio station 2DayFM broke the law when they broadcast the now infamous prank call in which two DJs called a hospital treating Dutchess Kate, and posed as the Queen and Prince Philip.
The Australian Communications and Media Authority had initially ruled this to be the case in 2013, given that 2DayFM did not get consent from those involved in the prank call before broadcasting it. 2DayFm were able to overturn this in the Federal Court by arguing that the ACMA didn't have the power to make such a ruling. The High Court's ruling upholds the ACMA's initial decision and ACMA will now decide on the penalty put upon 2DayFM - fine, license suspension/revoking.
2DayFM DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian called King Edward VII's Hospital, where Kate was staying in 2012 due to morning sickness, and were given private information on Kate's condition. The nurse who answered and transferred the call, Jacintha Saldanha, committed suicide a few days later.
Greig attended the inquest into Saldanha's death, and apologised for the prank. "Nothing will change the fact that Jacintha thought of me before she took her own life and that is something that is really hard to come to terms with," she said. "I will always feel partly responsible because my name was in someone's suicide note - not just the DJ, my name."
The Crown Prosecution Service said in 2013 that there was no evidence to support a manslaughter charge against Greig and Christian.

Farscape's Claudia Black to Recur on The Originals
'The Originals' Casts Claudia Black in Recurring Role

The Hollywood Reporter reports that the amazing Claudia Black, best known for Farscape/Stargate/like 500 video games has been cast as the mysterious (read: villain) witch Dahlia, who apparently is the aunt of the Mikaelson siblings.
The role is set to recur and she will make her first appearance on the season's 16th episode.
According to show runner Michael Narducci, "If Freya is still alive, that must mean that Dahlia is still out there," he said. "And what's the nature of their relationship? All of that is the stuff we want to play going forward."
In recap: Claudia Black, who was the female lead on a Sci-Fi Channel show that ended in 2003 as one of the most badass characters in science fiction history, cast as recurring villain on "The Originals."
