Murphy was hardly onstage during the special for longer than Chris Rock spent introducing him. After he got a standing ovation on his entrance, and told the audience to “Keep it going for Eddie” he launched into a speech:

“Hey uh, isn’t this an incredible night, this night? This show is such a big part of who I am and my life. And I’m so happy to be back here. It’s a magical feeling. Actually it feels like going back to my old high school kind of. It’s a good feeling. I’m really happy that so many people here value the stuff that I did 35 years ago. It makes me feel really happy. I will always love this show and let’s have some more show. Let’s have a big round of applause for everybody.”

After which he just stood there clapping, but the camera did not cut away from him, and so he said:

“I thought that right there you guys were gonna do the (makes signal with his hands indicating end of the scene). Well, then let’s do it again. You know this has been a helluva night. A real magical evening. You’re always going to be a part of my life.”

And that was it.

Ariana Grande performs at the NBA All-Star Game Halftime Show; Beyonce gets caught slipping....again

This performance was as awkward as you would expect it to be. For whatever reason, the NBA decided that Ariana Grande would make for an entertaining halftime show at the NBA All-Star Game. It went like every other Ariana Grande performance, except this one was worse because it was 11+ minutes long. Can she dance? No. Can she sing? Yes. Can you understand what she's saying? No. She didn't stop playing with her ponytail and kept popping her earpiece in and out. Suprise guest Nicki Minaj joined her for their hit Bang, Bang and Nicki could not give less of a fuck about that whole performance. It won't embed so watch it HERE.

Elizabeth "Prozac Nation" Wurtzel has breast cancer

Prozac Nation author Elizabeth Wurzel announced that she’s been diagnosed with breast cancer. As you'd expect, she wrote about her diagnosis with her usual comic style.

“I have the BRCA gene mutation, the curse of Ashkenazi Jews—and Angelina Jolie. It means I am likely to keep getting cancer if I don’t do something to stop it, so instead of having a lumpectomy, I am having a double mastectomy with reconstruction. It is quite amazing. They do both at the same time. You go in with breast cancer and come out with stripper b00bs.”

A&E cancelled "Longmire" for this???

On March 22, A&E will premiere Neighbors With Benefits, a new reality series featuring several suburban couples in Ohio who are willing to out themselves to the world as swingers!

“Neighbors are often more than just friends in this seemingly ordinary neighborhood that has become home to the controversial, yet surprisingly common, ‘swinger’ lifestyle,” says the network’s press release announcing the series.

“This isn’t your pony-tailed, earring guy that you would picture being a part of swingers. They look and feel like they are your neighbors. Their kids are playing with your kids.”

'Dolphin Lover' is an award winning documentary about a guy who fucked a dolphin

Malcolm Brenner, the aforementioned "dolphin lover" in the documentary, also recently appeared on an Australian radio show to talk about the doc and his "sexual relationship" with Dolly the Dolphin. (You might remember him popping up on ONTD before since he also wrote a book and has a website about dolphin fucking and has been mentioned here a few times).

“I knew I had a sexual attraction towards other species and I didn’t want to indulge it on the dolphin,” he explained on the Kiis FM breakfast show. “I was resisting her for the first several months but she was persistent.”

The talk show hosts then asked him if he had attraction to any other animals at which point Brenner said that as an adolescent he had experiences with the family dog. He even went on to say that he "tried to have intercourse with it, but wasn't successful" before the censors put a stop to the interview.

E.L. James says 50 Shades doesn't have a message; Dakota thinks it's like a fairytale love story.

E.L. James, Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan gave an interview for a Brazilian TV show and answered questions about the problematic aspects of the movie. The videos are not embeddable but I've got some transcripts from the most interesting and relevant parts. Check source for full interview.

E. L. James

  • On criticism about violence against women: "The books are not about domestic abuse. Why would they be popular with so many women if they were about domestic abuse? Domestic abuse is an incredibly serious subject, it's not entertaining and these books were written for entertainment, you know? People who go from that, they're seeing the whole thing through a prism of their own experience and bringing in whatever baggage they have. And that's their issue."

  • "It's a passion love story. It's safe, sane, consensual."

  • If the book glorifies violent sexual relations: "The film is about two people who come from very different life styles and how they reconcile their differences. This guy is just some pretty wild stuff and she isn't. She doesn't know about it, she tries it, she likes some of it, and when she doesn't like it she leaves. It's a good message: she says no and she goes. That's important to get out there."

  • On the book's message about relationships: "There's no message; I want to entertain. That's what it's supposed to be. So it's fancy, it's entertaining for women. I'm not gonna stand on a box and say 'this is about this, this is about that'. I wrote it for myself, I wrote it to entertain people."

  • She seems to get pretty annoyed with the questions. It's kinda funny.

Dakota Johnson

  • If the relationship between the characters is healthy: "I think so. I mean, I think that it's such an intense love story. It's almost like a fairytale love story. It's kinda magical. And they have this insane attraction to each other and this really deep love for one another."

  • On how the movie portrays women: "I think that she's powerful and confident and has such a sense of self worth. And I think it's beautiful that she explores her body and her sexuality."

  • On domestic violence: "I wonder if any of those people have seen the movie. I also think that that's not the case because both parties agreed to do everything they do in the movie. It's about exploring and pleasure and love and no part of it is abuse. He doesn't abuse her."

  • She also doesn't think her parents should see the movie.

Jamie Dornan

  • On how the movie portrays women:"I think Anastasia gets a lot of power because essentially at the end she says no. At the end of the film Christian kind of loses. She wins."

  • "He's the one that when it's done really realizes he's gone too far. So I think that's quite empowering for women and that, you know, she's refusing to sign the contract again. So she's maintaining the power in that situation. And even if she did sign the contract it's all consensual anyways, so the power is never totally with him in a way."

  • On the relationship between the characters: "It's not a conventional relationship but I do think it's relatively classic in a way." He then goes on on how it's about two people from different worlds that fall in love and how they make sacrifices to be together; that both characters truly love each other and that's genuine, even though Grey doesn't feel that he's capable of that (loving Ana).

  • On glorification of violence: "If people depict that as violence against women, the whole idea of the safewords is that it never goes beyond a point, it's consensual. So it's never going to a point where the woman doesn't want it because if she doesn't want it she says stop. And, by the way, so many men are submissives as well, it just happens to be that this story is the other way around."

  • "I sort of don't see it as violence because people want that to be done to them. And if it's gone too far they say a safeword and it stops so I don't really understand that argument."

  • On the movie's message: "I think it's a love story, I think we're trying to tell like a love story. And at the center of that love story is a type of sex that some people deem controversial, or a type of sex that isn't necessary been conjected into the mainstream before."

  • His answers were kind of all over the place and full of broken sentences. Although I tried a transcript, it'd be better to watch his part.

Source's text is in Portuguese but the interviews are all in English so it shouldn't be a problem. The show also interviewed the director but for some reason didn't share the video.

I'm never doing a transcription again in my life. ONTD, please send your kids to voice/diction classes. Someone send E.L. James too.

Best Out Of Context Sex(y) Scenes

Some movie sex scenes are so hot, but so, so very wrong in context. Here's a few to offend your delicate sensibilities, ONTD. NSFW. Possible spoilers, you've been warned.

Michael Fassbender in Fish Tank.
In the film, Fassy's asshole character is getting with his girlfriend's underage daughter.

Michael Fassbender in Shame.
You know what this film is about by now. This is the scene of Fassbender's character seducing a girl at the bar.

Mark Ruffalo in Thanks for Sharing
Mark Ruffalo's character is helping his girlfriend play out her daddy-kink(?) roleplay. It gets weird around 1:50.

Daniel Craig in Skyfall
I know I'm not the only one that found it creepy when Bond sleeps with the girl who JUST admitted she was forced into prostitution at a young age.

BONUS QUESTION - Creepy or not?(You have to be signed in to Youtube to see this one, it's age-restricted).
Mark Ruffalo in The Kids Are Alright
In this scene, Ruffalo's character gets with his the lesbian mother of his bio kids.
Critics said that this scene reduced Julianne Morre's character to a lesbian that was "turned" by Mark's magic stick.

Agree? Disagree? Lets discuss. Inspired by this post.
Sorry mods! The videos should be fixed this time.

Jamie Dornan's father, Jim, revealed that his son is really sensitive and still haunted by the loss of his mother and four best friends. And he's doing all he can to support his father now, who is battling leukaemia.

Jamie was 16 when his mother died of pancreatic cancer and soon afterwards his four best friends were killed in a car crash.

Jim, a professor and obstetrician, says that he tried to be very honest while Jamie's mother was dying over a year and a half. They didn't take away the hope, but knew time was limited.

When Jim told his son that he had leukaemia, his first words to him were ‘You’re going to be OK dad, aren’t you?’. Then Jamie and his girlfriend gave him a present that they’d made together. It was a little blue and yellow ceramic plate that said ‘Hope’ (colours of their favourite football team, Bangor Football Club)

this is so sad tbh :(

Paloma Faith backtracks after saying "pathetic" and "desperate" Taylor Swift lacks self-confidence

The quote from The Daily Mail:

She bristles to learn that Taylor Swift is in the process of trademarking the English language by staking a claim for the phrase ‘this sick beat’, among others.

‘F*** that!’ Faith explodes. ‘“This sick beat” is probably something she’s stolen from someone else.

'It’s kind of pathetic, if you want my honest opinion. Is she that desperate to stand out from the crowd? With her exclusive phrases? I think it shows a distinct lack of self-confidence.’

Breaking Bad Alum Raymond Cruz on His Surprise Better Call Saul Appearance + 1x03 viewing post

Breaking Bad fans who tuned in to the premiere of Better Call Saul last week were rewarded for their loyalty to showrunner Vince Gillian and company. In the last few seconds of the first episode, Tuco Salamanca (Raymond Cruz) made a jaw-dropping appearance. In the next episode, "Mijo," we saw a kinder, gentler Tuco ... that is, one still prone to delivering vicious beatings and threats of murder, but still one willing to listen to reason. Pre-blue meth Tuco was practically a cuddly teddy bear in contrast to the man we saw in Breaking Bad, who killed his comrade for speaking out of turn.

  • Cruz says he doesn't think Tuco is a bad person and is fair at his core

  • Says he was asked not to tell anyone he had a guest appearance and was hidden under umbrellas when he went to the shoot and stayed at a hotel under an assumed name

  • He will not be making any more appearances this season
