In a new interview with Digital Spy, Meghan Trainor talks about her album, her career and collab plans. She talked about wanting to write for Rihanna. "No, I want to write for Rihanna but I haven't had a second to do it. When I travel I don't have my rig with me to produce, I should start doing that."

She also talked about the crazy things she've read online. "Well, lies. Or I get a lot of 'Please quit music, because your songs are what's wrong with the world'. Then my brother's like 'They're throwing around the 'C' word like it's nothing!' and I'm like 'Don't tell me!'... I get the 'C' word a lot."

Also, she wants to collab with Sam Smith, and Sam didn't even know she wrote the bubbling-under hit 'Sledgehammer' by No Harmony.

Patrick Dempsey's wife files for divorce

Several news sources are currently reporting that Patrick Dempsey and his wife of 15 years are divorcing. Jillian Dempsey was the one to file citing the ever popular "irreconcilable differences" as the reason. She is asking for joint custody of the couple's three children as well as spousal support.

They do not have a prenup and as of last year Dempsey was supposedly making around $350k an episode for Grey's.

Dempsey was previously married to his best friend's mother (who was also his manager). That marriage lasted 7 years.

In short, rapper Tiny Doo has been in prison 8 months and could be sentenced to 25 years to life if prosecutors can convince a jury of idiots that his violent lyrics allow him to "benefit from gang activities." The dude has no criminal record and there's no indication he's actually part of a gang, but lyrics like "ain't no safety on this pistol I'm holding" are super duper incriminating. He is also being imprisoned for his threatening and intimidating street name.

Ernie Banks dies at 83

Chicago Cubs legend Ernie Banks passed away earlier this evening. The cause of death has not been released.

In addition to being a Hall of Famer (over 500 home runs in his career) and two time MVP he was also awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom which is one of the highest honors that a civilian can receive in the U.S.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel released the following statement, "Ernie Banks was more than a baseball player. He was one of Chicago's greatest ambassadors. He loved this city as much as he loved -- and lived for -- the game of baseball. This year, during every Cubs game, you can bet that No. 14 will be watching over his team. And if we're lucky, it'll be a beautiful day for not just one ballgame, but two."

Leighton Meester selling her remodeled bachelorette pad in Los Angeles' Encino area

The four bedroom (one of the spare rooms was turned into a recording studio) and four-and-a-half bath home also has several fireplaces, a high-tech security system, a walk-in closet and an in-ground swimming pool.


The most extreme change Meester made to the 2,850-square-foot house was converting this front room to a dining room. (You can see the open front door in the background, to the left of the hallway.)

Did I forget someone? Oh, right! Nickelback, Hinder, and Creed. Now what do they have in common? They are arguably the three worst bands ever. We all know about the trifecta. If you don't, I'll explain.

Whenever a post is made about one band in this tag (the tag being nickelback/hinder/creed), people take it upon themselves to find whatever news story they can to make a post about it. The goal? To have three individual posts in a single day, each dedicated to a band. I'm pretty sure someone (or some people) have managed to put all three bands in a single post, but that's rare.

The funny thing is, we all know at least one song by these bands. Whether you want to admit it or not, you know the lyrics, and if put on karaoke, you would get above 90% of it right. Don't lie!

Anyway, I decided to make a list. Ranking Nickelback's best-worst five songs, Hinder's best-worst five songs, and Creed's best-worst fives songs together. Enjoy!

Bisexual bae Andy Mientus on Pied Piper AKA the first Gay Supervillain on TV

The upcoming episode of The Flash"The Sound and the Fury" will introduce the character of Pied Piper, one of the only openly gay characters in the DC universe. In an interview with Nuke the Fridge Andy Mientus, the actor who plays Pied Piper, talks about the show's take on the iconic character.

On the character:


"I’m playing Hartley Rathaway, AKA The Pied Piper, who is one of the original Rogues. The character’s been around in the original comics for decades and decades and notably is one of the only out gay characters in the DC universe. Something I find really cool about him is that he’s got a history and a relationship with several of the other characters which you’ll see pretty quickly when I come in. So it’s a bit of a different dynamic than a typical villain of the week on The Flash."

When asked whether the character's sexuality is part of the episode, he said:

"I wouldn’t say that it’s the focus of this episode. It’s definitely not an Afterschool Special about being gay, but it’s also not something that they’re shying away from or trying to downplay. I think it’s really tastefully and successfully integrated as just being a part of this character but not the only thing or the most interesting thing about his character. It’s just another fact. He’s got brown hair, he wears glasses and he’s gay. There’s a lot of other things going on too."

When Warner Bros/DC Comics announced their film slate until 2020, a Green Lantern film reboot is found to be part of that list. However, after the flop that is Ryan Reynolds's mess of a portrayal, DC may be looking for a new guy to play another version of Green Lantern. The reboot film may be scheduled in 2020, but we could see the character appear in the first live-action Justice League film.

This 'Fast and Furious' star is teasing rumors about playing John Stewart, and I think he could play the part.

on finding he's been cast as The Flash:"Zack Snyder told me on the phone that he wanted me to play the Flash while I was eating a tilapia in a small Central American village. That was definitely a moment that prompted me to question the fabric of my reality."

on his role models in the industry:"Probably people who are not principally considered actors. I mean, we all say Patti these days, right? I think to young artists, Patti Smith symbolizes the possibility that a performer who swims into the mainstream might both maintain their integrity and remain alive. So she's one. David Bowie is another. Did you know he once performed an exorcism on his swimming pool? I'd like to emulate that!"
