"It's really clever the way the writers stayed on top of everything," Atwell says of the twists yet to come. "Just when the audience goes, 'Alright, I know what the show is,' it goes into a different direction."

"Because it's the Marvel Universe, it can go anywhere. We can time jump and we can do things more conventional genres can't," Atwell says. "If audiences keep liking Peggy, hopefully she will pop up in different worlds. I would certainly jump at the chance because I love playing her."

While Sarah Paulson will soon be taking a break from the world of supernatural horror to star in Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story playing O.J. Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark you can still see her playing conjoined twins Bette and Dot on American Horror Story: Freak Show. The series returns tonight with a brand new episode featuring guest star Neil Patrick Harris.

In a recent sit down with ET Paulson revealed that her characters have an interesting storyline with Harris' Chester the Illusionist that is about "Bette and Dot coming into their own as women".

She also spoke highly of Harris as a guest star as well as how much she has enjoyed working on the series overall. When asked how she has dealt with some of the more intense things that have been thrown her characters' ways Paulson said, "I had to masturbate on television, I had an abortion, there has been a lot ... People do all kinds of things that surprise and shock you and you never know what a person will do until they're faced with certain circumstances. I really just look at [Ryan] and say, 'There's nothing you can't throw at me.'"
