Emma Watson dedicates "British Artist of the Year" award to her late hamster
Accepting the Brittania Award for British Artist of the Year this week, Emma Watson shared a "sweet, but slightly morbid" story about her pet hamster Millie, who died of a heart attack during the filming of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. The thoughtful set decorators built a hamster-sized coffin for the dearly departed rodent.
"Rest in peace, Millie. This one's for you," she said at the end of her speech.

Joshua Jackson: Guys Should Always Pay on Dates
The Affair actor opened up to Us Weekly at GQ's Gentlemen's Ball in NYC on Wednesday, Oct. 22, about whether he allows Diane to ever grab the bill.
Peter Bishop confessed that he's rather old fashioned when it comes to splitting the bill on dates. "Nah, can't do that,""Unless the woman specifically asks," he reflected, but even then, the actor told his fellow men: "You should always pay the bill."
Beyond his otherwise solid relationship, Jackson also revealed how a true gentleman behaves at all times."Chivalry is part of being a gentleman,"he said at Wednesday's bash, "but I don't think actually being composed at all times is gentlemanly."
According to him, anger is a healthy emotion. "Sometimes you need to be outraged by things, and I think that's part of being a man,"he told Us. "There are certain thing you shouldn't stand by and witness. Lots of things make me lose my cool, so maybe I'm rationalizing, but I don't feel that a quiet forbearance is gentlemanly."

Doctor Who Roundup: Review of Today's Episode, Preview of Next Week's and a Quick Behind the Scenes
Look, it's a preview that tells you nothing about the next episode! Clara Oswald never existed? Oh, boy -- what a Moffat-y jape!
Meanwhile, the Guardian had its beleaguered TV writer, Dan Martin, clack out a review in record time in which he basically said that he kind of sort of knew that Missy was probably the Master but, you know, didn't mention it until after everyone else found out. To be fair to us all.
To explain why this twist is so significant, Martin takes us back through the old brouhaha surrounding the demand, pre-Capaldi, that the new Doctor be a woman. He then mis-attributes the gender-swapping Time Lord plot point from The Doctor's Wife as being Moffat's invention (rather than the episode's actual writer, Neil Gaiman). And finally he caps us off with the oh-so-patronizing suggestion that we should probably just be satisfied with a female Master -- as though that isn't exactly what Moffat is doing in the first place (even if Michelle Gomez is a God damn treasure).
Martin then fights with himself over whether or not Missy is actually the Master because Moffat said during a panel last Summer that there was no chance he'd bring the popular foe back to our screens during his tenure. Even though Martin totally knew that Missy was the Master before we did... if she is. Which she might not be. Even though she said she was.
Got it? Good.
Some boring stuff about Danny Pink dying and then Martin's assertion that the show has returned to an Eccleston-esque format of being more about the Companion than the Doctor, which is impossible because Clara is barely a character. Case in point? You know that old woman who barged into her apartment early on and asked how she was doing? That was her grandmother. Did you know that? Me neither. That's how little we know about her family life. Grandma has a key to her apartment, and we've met her like twice. But they're oh-so-close when necessary. Moving on.
Martin ends by trying to get us to believe that we may finally have a proper Cybermen episode on our hands, which I regrettably feel myself agreeing with -- it was a genuinely good twist when the tanks started draining and at least this is more about The Master than the Cybermen, which helps.

This Herbie Fully Loaded actress and her brother Michael Jr were recently sued by ex-business partner for allegedly stealing an idea from him to create a virtual closet app Vigme. Manhattan Supreme Court judge has issued a temporary restraining order, banning the Lohans from promoting and marketing the app. In 2013, the Lohans became equity members of Spotted, the original idea of 'virtual closet' which was planned to be made into an app, while the Lohans also later launched their own app Vigme.
Ex-business partner Fima Potik claimed that Lohans' app Vigme was a "virtual clone" of Spotted while Lohans' attourney fired back that the restraining order merely "preserves the status quo" and that their court papers "back[ed] up their claim that Fima is an inept plagiarizer who fraudulently induced Lindsay, Mike and Chris to join him with [false] representations that he would have a product-recognizing app by June 2013 — an app he still hasn’t created." Caroline Wozniacki completes New York Marathon as Serena Williams cheers her on
Six months ago, this was planned as the weekend Caroline Wozniacki was to have married golf superstar Rory McIlroy. After a devastating breakup in May, Wozniacki regrouped and enjoyed a terrific second half of the 2014 tennis to finish back in the Top 10 at No. 8. And she capped it off today by completing her first ever marathon, coming in at an impressive 3 hours, 27 minutes in the 26.2-mile New York Marathon.
"The crowd was amazing. It was incredible. It was such an incredible experience. I'm so happy to have done this. I'm so proud. Now I have this medal. I can say that I've done the New York City Marathon. I've even done it at a cool time. So I'm really, really happy."
She was met at the finish line by her friend and tennis rival Serena Williams and the pair hugged.

"I think I've done everything you're not supposed to do before a marathon. I had a Halloween party three days ago and came back at like 4 in the morning. Two days ago I chilled a little bit, but I've been really busy."
She also said that she went to the New York Rangers game on Saturday night, foregoing a traditional pasta dinner.

Her marathon raised over $81,000 for Team for Kids, which helps fund marathon organizer New York Road Runners' youth programs. She said that Williams made a big contribution to the charity.
"We raise money for kids who have no - or very limited - access to sports," Wozniacki said about the charity. "We make running groups for them so they can go out and get an active lifestyle, enjoy it and have fun. We also teach them about nutrition and healthy living. All of that has shown a big increase in happiness for kids - they get a healthier body, healthier mind, better grades in school. It all goes together. I think it's such a great charity. And we feel like we have to start early - nowadays we have all the computers and technology, but it's very important the kids still go outside, play and have fun."
Wozniacki left open the chance to run another marathon --her time today is enough for her to qualify for the Boston Marathon-- just don't expect it any time soon.
"Right now I don't think I'm going to do one for a few years, but probably at some point I'm going to do another one. Right now I'm just tired," she said. "I'm exhausted. If you ask me right now, then I'd say no, but I'm sure that I'm going to look back on this experience and say that this was awesome and want to do it again."

Lena Dunham cancels appearance at book fair amid scandal + Amanda Palmer tweets her support for Lena
Amid allegations that Lena Dunham had molested her younger sister when they were kids, Lena has gone ahead and canceled her appearance at the Antwerp Book Fair. Lena is currently in Europe promoting her book Not That Kind Of Girl and it is not known whether or not she will continue touring in support of her book. Lena has since denied the allegations.

Singer Katie Melua Discovers Spider Living in her Ear
Singer Katie Melua, 30, complained to her doctors that she kept hearing a scratching sound throughout the week. The musician, to her horror, found out that she was not suffering from tinnitus but instead had a spider living in her ear for seven days.
“Basically I used these old in-ear monitors to block out sound on a flight, a little spider must have been in them and crawled inside my ear and stayed there for the week,” she explained.
After the tiny spider was taken out, her team said, "Katie kept it in the test tube and released it in her garden when she got home. Apart from shuffling and random noises in her ear, the spider was no bother for the entire week it lived there. She was relieved it was what it was as she was worried she was losing her hearing."
