first trailer for Martin McDonagh’s "Seven Psychopaths" arrives

Oscar-winning filmmaker/playwright Martin McDonagh’s In Bruges (starring Colin Farrell) is a contemporary cult classic, thanks to its clever mix of dark, deranged humor with somber crime-drama. The trailer for McDonagh and Farrell’s Seven Psychopaths suggests they have another winner on their hands.

The Seven Psychopaths trailer features a bullet-point style rundown of the film’s eponymous nutty players and how they fit into the plot – including, Farrell as a struggling screenwriter looking for inspiration, Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken as his dog-napping buddies, and Woody Harrelson as the crazed gangster out for blood after his beloved shih tzu is taken by Rockwell and Walken.

McDonagh has made it no secret that Seven Psychopaths is his own self-aware examination of the screenwriting process, and the official trailer lends further credence to that idea. That holds especially true for casting decisions, like having Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace) portray “the hot girlfriend… played by a Bond girl, of course” (literally) - or casting Tom Waits as a strange old man who prefers to spend his time petting a white rabbit. There are also shades of Shane Black’s Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction in the Seven Psychopaths trailer, with its irreverent dark humor, Tinseltown-Noir influence, and quirky criminals.
However, McDonagh (the storyteller) very much has an identifiable voice of his own, and it comes through clear and strong with Seven Psychopaths.

Farrell seems most comfortable when he’s working as a character actor, in such films as Cassandra’s Dream, In Bruges, Horrible Bosses, Fright Night, and now Seven Psychopaths. We can add Total Recall to the growing pile of evidence that Farrell’s just not meant to be a successful action star (along with The Recruit, S.W.A.T., and Miami Vice). Fortunately, Farrell’s upcoming slate includes Niels Arden Oplev’s Dead Man Down and a minor role in Disney’s Saving Mr. Banks.

Rounding out the Seven Psychopaths cast are such talented actresses as Gabourey Sidibe (Precious, Tower Heist) and Abbie Cornish (Bright Star, Sucker Punch), in addition to the aforementioned players. McDonagh’s film screens at the Toronto International Film Festival next month, ahead of its domestic theatrical release.

Look for Seven Psychopaths in U.S. theaters beginning October 12th, 2012.

Wreck-It Ralph Creators on Using Actual Video Game Characters Here's what we learned from our trip t

August 6, 2012

Last week, IGN was invited to Walt Disney Animation Studios to check out nearly half an hour of footage from their upcoming video game-themed movie Wreck-It Ralph. Additionally, we got to sit down with the film's director Rich Moore and producer Clark Spencer to talk about how the animated feature moved from concept to a fully realized world.

The story begins in the Fix-It Felix Jr. 8-bit video game -- a riff on Nintendo's Donkey Kong -- where the hero, Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer), and the denizens of the apartment building are celebrating 30 years on the job. Meanwhile, the game's villain, Wreck-It Ralph (John C. Reilly), is having a bit of an existential crisis, and he begins to wonder if there isn't more to life than just wrecking the same building over and over again. That's when Ralph decides to change his ways and travel across the arcade, beat another video game -- Hero's Duty -- and prove that he is just as capable of being a hero. Along the way he meets Vanellope von Schweets (Sarah Silverman), a glitch character who's been ousted from her own game Sugar Rush. Together, the duo sets out to show the arcade what they're really made of.

Just from the clips we saw at the studio, it's clear that this movie is massive. In fact, Wreck-It Ralph has more unique character models than any previous Disney animated film. Just to put it in perspective, most animated movies have somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 or 50 character designs, but Wreck-It Ralph boasts a staggering 188. What's more, dozens of these models are based on actual characters from actual video games. Especially in locales like Central Station -- the arcade cabinets' master power strip -- we see numerous familiar faces like Q*Bert, Sonic the Hedgehog, Chun-Li and Bowser all interacting in one place.
Of course, assembling such an expansive cast of cameos was no easy task. But as Moore explained, the prerogative in that regard was to let the story dictate when and where to include these iconic avatars. "When we started, it seemed like if we were going to make a movie about video games that I really, really wanted it to be authentic," he said. "It had to have real characters from real games in it. That was very, very important to me as the filmmaker. So we just kind just of went for it. We didn't begin from a legal standpoint as we were writing the story. It was more like, 'Well, this seems like a great place for Pac-Man to make an appearance. Let's put him in.'"

The creators also opened up the cameo floor to its creative team. As Spencer noted, "Early on, we put up a board in the building and told people, 'Tell us your favorite video games you played with and who your favorite characters are.' So that gave us a big bed of characters to look at for building the movie and putting them into it."

But as the film started taking shape, rights issues eventually became a factor. "We went out and met with people in person, which I think is the key," said Spencer. "When people came in for E3, we would actually meet with all of the companies and talk about the movie. From the very beginning we said, 'We want to be authentic to your character. What we would like to do is put in an approval process where you look at our animation and you say that we're being true to the character.'" As the creators noted, most companies were all for it.

However, it wasn't all fun and games when it came to depicting these classic characters. Moore recalled one particular snag with Nintendo and their character Bowser:
"We did have kind of a check-in process, where we would show them the footage and say, 'What do you think? Is it good?' At one point, [Nintendo] said, 'Bowser's much bigger than that. He's way bigger than Zangief.' We were like, 'Okay, we'll make him bigger. How's that?' They'd say, 'Yes, that’s good -- but he wouldn’t drink his coffee like that. He wouldn’t make that mouth.' [Laughs] Of course, then people from Sega said, 'Well, Doctor Robotnik is bigger.' [Laughs] They wanted their characters bigger and bigger. We were going to end up with these giants in a room, with Ralph as this little guy... But I think that stuff really helped. I looked back on our original animation before the Nintendo notes, and it was like, 'You know, he does look more like Bowser now.'"
Above all, though, the main goal for Wreck-It Ralph was to thread together a cohesive narrative. "There was a good year of developing the story, where we didn't even think about video games," said Moore. "It was like, this needs to be a story that's worth telling that people will become invested in... The cameos -- that's the icing. That's the prize. The substance of the story is Ralph's relationship with Vanellope. That's where the heart of the story is. There's so much more under the surface than what people are seeing right now. They're seeing the trailer with fun cameos and characters that they know, but I think they're going to be surprised when they go see this movie, how deep it is and how emotional it is... I think people will walk out thinking, 'I get it. I care about those guys. I've felt the way that they've felt before.'"

Wreck-It Ralph hits theaters in 3D on November 2.

VIBE: Diplo's Cover Story

THE MIDDLE MAN
SHOT ON LOCATION AT DOCKWEILER BEACH, CA. DIPLO WON’T PICK A SIDE. THE DJ/PRODUCER HAS HOLLOWED OUT A COMFORTABLE CRANNY SOMEWHERE BETWEEN HIP-HOP, EDM, DANCEHALL AND R&B. AND THAT’S EXACTLY WHERE HE WANTS TO BE. SO STOP PUSHING HIS BUTTONS BY PUTTING HIM IN A DANCE BOX --WRITTEN BY THOMAS GOLIANOPOULOS / PHOTOS BY SMALLZ AND RASKIND

DIPLO SITS IN a studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, tinkering a beat he’s worked on for months. He takes it from 134 beats per minute down to 128. It still doesn’t sound right. “My ears are so fucked to this. Let’s see what it sounds like at 130,” he says to a young producer from Europe assisting him today. The Dutch rapper who introduced them loafs on a couch nearby. “Polska, whatever his name is,” Diplo later tells me, “is like the A$AP Rocky of Holland.”

The track initially resembled a “house record” but turned into a “trap record” after Diplo slowed it down and added some bass. Complicating matters is that the song features Pharrell. “I’m trying to negotiate what Pharrell wants for the record,” he says. “Pharrell loved the demo, but the demo is so monotone for me. It’s just a mixtape cut [now,] but it can be bigger than that because the hook is so good.”

Diplo wears a maroon T-shirt, mustard-colored skinny jeans and sleek gray high-top Puma sneakers, looking every bit like the cool-kid DJ he’s been for nearly a decade. But since producing singles for Usher, Chris Brown, Wale, and Beyoncé, he’s evolved into a new role—rap and R&B’s latest hitmaker for hire. It’s a welcome transition for Diplo. Spinning records has brought him the residency in Vegas, the BlackBerry sponsorship and the big-money corporate gigs—“Sometimes I make more money in a weekend than my grandpa made in a year”—but he doesn’t think DJing is a special talent or challenging or… “Being a DJ is pretty bullshit,” he says. “I’m lucky I can produce records, too, because DJs don’t do shit. They just fucking play records. Usher is trained to dance. Justin Bieber had to train 24 hours a day to be a performer. What I do is pretty simple. It’s a good time to be a DJ and make good money, but you definitely can’t have an ego doing this shit because it’s not that cool.”

Diplo is right about one thing: It is a good time to be a DJ. Electronic dance music festivals are the summer’s hottest tickets, corporate promoters such as Live Nation and AEG Live are buying in, and top DJs like Skrillex, Afrojack and Deadmau5 are the new rock stars. It’s a feeding frenzy that, according to Diplo, will not last. “It’s definitely a bubble,” he says. “But some people are good at what they do. Skrillex is a bonafide superstar.”

It’s all happening at the right time for Diplo. Genres have become blurred, R&B sounds like house music, rappers are experimenting with different sounds and it’s all pop music. And Diplo’s versatility and curiosity are his greatest strengths as a producer. “The way he approaches his production reminds me of the way he used to make his mixes,” says DJ A-Trak. “He just pieces together unexpected sounds and doesn’t do the obvious things.”

Back in Brooklyn, Diplo ponders his next move for the Pharrell record. It was initially slated for the upcoming album by Major Lazer—Diplo’s dancehall group with the British DJ Switch—but he’s ready to scrap the song. Besides, he has a full slate. “It used to be hard to convince [artists] that working with me is a good idea or something to even consider,” he says. “Now, a lot of guys are reaching out like, ‘Hey, I want to be a part of your movement, or whatever.”

DIPLO’S MOVEMENT (OR WHATEVER) is rooted in the deep South. He grew up in a big “rednecky” family that bumped around Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia before settling in Fort Lauderdale. Time moved slowly there, and Diplo, born Thomas Wesley Pentz, let his imagination run wild, often daydreaming of adventures in the Everglades. For kicks, he fished in Alligator Alley with his father.

By the time he reached high school, Diplo was the weirdo with the graffiti-covered Volkswagen. He attended four high schools, and didn’t have many friends but loved music, everything from rap and bass to metal and hard core. “Tons of new sounds were being kicked around in Florida at that time,” says his friend, fellow Florida native Derek Miller of the band Sleigh Bells. “And it definitely rubbed off on him.”

ABC Family Orders More Bunheads, Renews Switched at Birth, Melissa & Joey and Baby Daddy

Somewhere, Amy Sherman-Palladino is doing a happy dance. ABC Family has ordered additional episodes of the Gilmore Girls creator’s ballerina tale Bunheads. Additionally, the cabler has renewed Melissa & Joey, Switched at Birth and Baby Daddy, while Jane By Design has been given the ax.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The Bunheads extension (which is rumored to be around eight episodes) ensures that Monday’s episode will be a summer and not a series finale. The Sutton Foster-Kelly Bishop dramedy is expected to resume production in October and return on air in early ’13. Melissa & Joey will be heading into its third season, while Switched at Birth and Baby Daddy will both be entering Season 2. (The second half of SaB‘s rookie season bows Sept. 3; Baby Daddy and Melissa & Joey wrap Season 1 and Season 2, respectively, on Aug. 29.) Finally, the decision to pull the plug on the struggling Jane By Design comes just weeks after the show ended its sophomore season with 1.2 million viewers and a 0.4 demo rating, representing half of its Pretty Little Liars lead-in.

“Wemma” fans would be wise to keep their hearts in check this season, because as speculated by Matthew Morrison, the gr’ups’ romance might not merit much screen time – though the season gets off on a good enough note. “When I look at the first two episodes, I’d say that relative to last year they have a lot to do,” EP Brad Falchuk tells TVLine. “But I will say that they are probably pulling back from that a bit. Those two characters are vital to the show, but their relationship will be less of a focus.” OK, but… still heading for a wedding…? “I still think that they’re going to get married,” Falchuk allows — so go ahead and order that Tiffany Purell dispenser off the registry!

Mayim Bialik is in recovery mode after a car accident on Wednesday left her hospitalized.

The Big Bang Theory star, 36, who managed to make it to work just one day after the wreck, was photographed on Friday near her home in L.A., wearing gauze on her left forearm and a full cast on her right hand.

At the time of the accident – caused in Hollywood by three tourists from Chile turning into her vehicle – LAPD Sgt. Monte Houze told PEOPLE that the actress suffered "a severe injury" and, "I was told, there was a lot of blood at the scene."

Writing she was typing with her opposite hand, Bialik blogged on Friday, "I had a horrible accident. I will be okay. I have all my fingers, but a very impaired right hand. It was very bloody and scary, but I am okay."

The former Blossom star, who Tweeted that her accident is preventing her from going to the Jewlicious Festival, adds in her blog that she is a "deeply religious person who used prayer and deep breathing" for several hours following the incident before being medicated.

"I will be continuing on The Big Bang Theory with no weeks off," she writes. "They are so good to me, and I love my job and the support I get from my buddies on the cast and our loving staff and crew."

Russell Simmons Addresses The Modern-Day Cruella

Dear Mother Monster,

You will go down in history as one of the most talented and beloved artists the world has ever known. You are an integral part of the artistic community that gives a voice to our pain, joy, struggles and triumphs through your music.

This is the same community that has historically been on the side of right since the beginning of time - bringing people together via the language of song. Poets always spoke the truth in song, whether it was via the innocent spirituals, as the slave songs came to be known, the protest songs of the beatnik generation who pushed for the end of the war, the legendary peace anthem of John Lennon's "Imagine," or the poetry of Tupac Shakur that gave a voice to the violent hardships that exist for every angry child growing up in inner cities. The poets who make music about social change set the tone and direction for our society because they are able to express the god that is within themselves.

When you look inside, you see "god" or the connective tissue that bonds you to all living beings and to life itself. The artist knows what the yogis and other leading spiritual beings have said throughout history: that we (all living beings) are ONE. If god were the ocean, we would be cups of god.

While I will not judge each individual's unconscious action, I will speak to the collective. The ripping off of skin of other sentient beings while they are still alive - during a time when we have options available to us to wear cruelty-free alternatives - is an issue I have to lend my voice to. Wearing these skins is abusive to animals, but equally as abusive to ourselves, as we are the animal that we abuse. As a vegan, I believe the greatest karmic disaster in the history of humankind is the 40 billion animals made to be born into suffering each year. Fur-bearing animals suffer the same fate for vanity and greed.

Lady Gaga, you are a great artist who has used your celebrity to fight for equality and fairness, so I know you are a compassionate loving human being who would not publicly defend others for their unconscious behavior. LET'S NOT SET OFF A CHAIN REACTION WHERE ARTISTS ACT AS SUPPORT FOR A SOCIETY'S UNCONSCIOUS BEHAVIOR. Let's instead do what artists have done throughout history and be on the side of love and compassion, because that is our natural state.

I am PETA's Person of The Year and I support them, but this isn't about PETA or their tactics. Don't allow your feelings about them to govern how you feel about animals. Those feelings should come as a result of your heart meditation. Please continue to use your immense talent as an instrument of love, peace and compassion. Watch this video, whose message cannot be denied, and know that I love you.

Sincerely,

Russell Simmons

Teen Wolf Boss Talks Stiles and Derek's Popularity, Shipping and More

$

Teen Wolf is home to one of most popular gay couples on TV. One problem: The characters aren't a couple.
Entertainment Weekly found themselves at the center of a fandom controversy when they removed write-in nominations for Teen Wolf's Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) and Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) from a poll asking for readers' favorite Summer ship (short for 'relationship,' get it?). The "Sterek" fans? Less than pleased.
"Take it from me," the show's creator Jeff Davis wrote to the magazine on Twitter. "Hell hath no fury like a shipper scorned."

In an update, EW wrote, "The reason Sterek didn't make the category is because it's not an acknowledged will-they-or-won't-they storyline on the show itself. The pairings we included in that category all share a scripted, long-established dynamic on their show."
In an effort to understand why fans are so passionate about Stiles and Derek, we chatted with Jeff about the evolution of the characters' friendship, his views on shipping and why viewers respond to same-sex pairings.
"I know certain reasons are the humor and the actors' chemistry together. And I know the actors themselves enjoy the scenes together," Jeff explains of Stiles and Derek's popularity. "There's always a lot of fun to be had with characters who seemingly despise each other and then have to work together to survive. In a funny way, that's how a lot of romantic comedies begin. The two leads always start out absolutely hating each other until they find their common ground."
Sarah-Louise, a Teen Wolf viewers who is a "Sterek" fan, tells us why she's a fan of the pairing: "It's awesome? Seriously though it has so much potential and they have ridiculous chemistry that needs to be explored." Aspa, another "Sterek" fan adds, "The actors' chemistry is one thing. Also Derek being broody, badass werewolf having to deal with awkward, human sidekick Stiles is fun."

Jeff admits that his original plans for the show did not include Stiles and Derek's tentative friendship, but he started to write more scenes, largely comedic in nature, for the pairing after seeing the onscreen chemistry between the actors.
"Seeing chemistry happen on screen absolutely drives storytelling in television. You're capturing lightning in a bottle. Once you see that first spark you race to catch it. And you never knew who will have the right chemistry. I saw Derek and Stiles mostly as comic foils for each other," he explains. "To be honest, the romance side is something I never thought about until I learned of 'Sterek.' When I first heard the word, I understood it in terms of what little I knew about slash fiction, going back to pairings such as Kirk and Spock [Star Trek], Frodo and Sam [Lord of the Rings].
"I initially thought that these pairings were just in the realm of fan fiction. I understood it as a way for fans to do their own interpretation of a story. Write the characters in the way they envisioned them. Kind of like a 'what if' universe," he continues. "I had no idea that my Twitter account would be pummeled by pleas and requests to actually make Stiles and Derek a pair in the show itself, to become 'canon.'"

Teen Wolf isn't the first show to have viewers want to see two characters of the same-sex together, even if neither is homosexual. Glee's Quinn (Dianna Agron) and Rachel (Lea Michele) won our Top TV Couple Tournament, with Supernatural's Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) coming in a close second.
"I don't understand it, it's so insane!" Lea told us of Quinn and Rachel's win. "I tweeted that Dianna and I were doing a scene in the girl's bathroom and people like lost their minds! It's so funny and I just think that hey great, girl power! I mean, why not?!"
But why do viewers, mostly young females, want to see these seemingly straight same-sex characters together?
"I'll admit this is a bit out of reach of my understanding, even as a gay man. I'm also not sure they may see the characters as perfectly 'straight,'" he explains. "We've certainly made some hints to the possibility of Stiles being bisexual. As to the psychology of why 'girls like boys who like boys,' I haven't asked enough questions or heard enough to really understand the psychology behind it. I know of certain relationships such Holmes and Watson that might have a kernel of truth to them within the actual writing, but then others I'm less sure about. Like what's called 'Wincest,' a romantic relationship between the Winchester brothers on Supernatural."

Jeff, who created the hit CBS drama Criminal Minds, had "heard the term 'shipping' before, but wasn't quite sure what it meant" when he first started working on Teen Wolf, which premiered in 2011.
"I think my first reaction was that it was a favorite relationship on a show. I didn't know that it could mean a relationship that wasn't 'canon,' also a new word for me."
Jeff tells us he understands why fans want Stiles and Derek together, saying, "I realized I'm a shipper myself. All the way back to Maddy and David on Moonlighting. One of my favorites was Mulder and Scully on X-Files. The sexual tension between the two actors was one of the best things about the show. I loved all of the cases on The X-Files and the mystery, but I believe I loved the characters more."

With sites such as Twitter and Tumblr, it's easy for fans to bring their opinions and requests directly to showrunners, including Jeff, who interacts with the show's viewers on Twitter. With Teen Wolf's fanbase being so vocal and active online, we had to know if it's hard to not let their opinions impact his creative process.
"I always believe my first job is to entertain. If I've entertained people I know that I'm doing something right. And you can only give a fan so much of what they actually want. There is a great quotation about writing from Wilkie Collins: "Make 'em cry, make 'em laugh, make 'em wait—exactly in that order.'" he says. "You have to give an audience a certain level of anxiety. One of the oddest network notes I've ever gotten was, ‘Can she be happy?' I thought to myself ‘If the character is happy, then the story is over. There's no conflict!' Do fans actually want their wishes fulfilled? Or is the anticipation actually more interesting and even more fun? Here's one thing I will always keep in mind as both a fan and writer of TV: When Maddie and David finally did get together in Moonlighting... the show was over."

Kristen Bell interrupts Prince Reezy on Leno

He is currently revelling in his success at the London 2012 Olympics and the stardom that comes with it.

But Ryan Lochte didn’t exactly have the chance to do that during a TV appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno yesterday.

The swimmer was interrupted a staggering five times by Kristen Bell who attempted to steal the spotlight as he was interviewed.

The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star had been interviewed in a previous segment but sat in while 28-year-old Ryan chatted to the talk show host and couldn't resist muscling in on his airtime.

Kristen, 32, was getting involved from the offset, scooping up Ryan’s medals – which he had brought along – and saying: ‘They’re so heavy. Alright, I’ll put them on,’ as she slung them around her neck.

She then raised her hand into the air for permission to ask a question when Ryan chatted about the challenge of doing one race after another, and Kristen wanted him to clarify what he had meant.

Jay and Ryan continued their conversation and the host quizzed Ryan about his infamous admission that swimmers often relieve themselves in the pool.

Ryan explained: ‘We're in the pool for six hours straight - no one is going to raise their hand and say, “Coach I got to go!”’

At that point Kristen chirped: ‘Cause no one else on earth has ever peed in a pool!’

Ryan, who has won five medals at the Olympics, then started to chat about his rigorous training regime.

And when he gushed about his fondness for training outdoors, Kristen, who stars in new movie Hit and Run with fiancé Dax Shepard, chimed in: ‘A real hillbilly workout. I like it.’

By the end of the interview Ryan, who had kept his cool throughout, became noticeably less patient with the pretty blonde and her final interruption clearly irritated him.

The hunky swimmer was asked by Jay if the rumours that he might appear on Dancing With The Stars were true, and he replied: ‘I did, in college, I took a dancing class. I got an A, so you know what, I think I’d be pretty good at it.’

Perhaps forgetting she was in the presence of an Olympic athlete, Kristen rather condescendingly asked: ‘Do you have any idea how much training it takes to be on Dancing With The Stars?’

Ryan appeared to have reached the end of his tether at that point and hit back: ‘Do you know how much training you have to do to swim?’

Fortunately the pair were saved by the bell as it was then time for Jay to wrap up the awkward interview.

I just wish, for once, that Emilia's beautiful chestnut locks were allowed to flow freely for a photo shoot. She has such a great haircape. Bow at Sophie. Oh, and Kit looks ok imo.

Kendall Jenner Set to Make Her Acting Debut on CBS' Hawaii Five-0

Kendall Jenner's following in her older sisters' footsteps!

Kendall is set to make her acting debut in an episode of CBS' Hawaii Five-0, a CBS rep confirms exclusively to Life & Style.

So what role will she take on? The 16-year-old will play a sales assistant in an episode due to air in October. Taping, which is happening in the next few weeks, will take place in Hawaii.

Because the budding actress is a minor, at least one of her parents, Bruce and Kris Jenner, will have to accompany her. At this stage, it is not known whether her role is for one episode or if it will be a recurring role.

Kendall is the second Kardashian sister to act in a CBS series. Her big sister Kim Kardashian appeared on CSI: NY in 2009.

Earlier this year, the teen model admitted she was bit by the acting bug.

"I would love to be in a horror movie or a horse movie," she's said. "Or you know Disaster Movie that Kim was in? That seems like so much fun."

We can't wait to tune in!

‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: Want more Mad Hatter?

If you love some of the recurring characters featured on the first season of “Once Upon a Time” then the following story is probably going to make you rather happy. After all, who wouldn’t want to see more Sebastian Stan?

According to a new report from TVLine, Stan will be returning during the show’s second season as Jefferson and his alter ego the Mad Hatter. However, it’s not currently clear just when he will be turning up, or how many episodes he will be involved in. The last we saw him, he was desperate in part to try and enact some revenge on Regina due to what she took away from him — but of course, it was rather complicated and he was operating as a double agent of sorts.

Jefferson is just one of many familiar faces from season 1 who will be turning up again — Emilie de Ravin and Meghan Ory were each promoted to series regulars, and we know that Giancarlo Esposito would like to come back if his schedule from “Revolution” allows it to happen. Meanwhile, some new faces coming on the show this year include Colin O’Donoghue (Captain Hook), Sarah Bolger (Sleeping Beauty), and Julian Harris (Prince Phillip).

Stan has been featured this summer on USA’s “Political Animals,” but given its low rated the “limited series event” is unlikely to be picked up for additional episodes despite boasting an all-star cast including Sigourney Weaver and Josh Wolk.

Are you pleased to see more of Stan, and what do you want to see the Mad Hatter do on this coming season?

ONTD, What Will You Do? + UPDATE!

UPDATE:

In the comments, donnanoble suggested going to the following site: http://freerice.com/category. There are multiple-choice question-based games for various subjects of varying difficulty and your answers net food for others. Please see below for info about the site (clicking on the picture will link you to the site). I was thinking that on World Humanitarian Day, 19 Aug, possibly during the video release post for "I Was Here" we could have a charitable gaming session where we could all play the game and post how many grains we were able to get in addition to other charitable acts we did for WHD - and in general. Would you all be up for that?

ONTD, what are some suggestions for ways to help others for people in various circumstances, e.g., not much money, not much time, extremely socially awkward, etc...
UPDATE: More details in the post, but would you all be interesting a fun charitable gaming-lite session for World Humanitarian Day on Aug 19?
