April Carver enters chemo treatment on the August 12 episode of Chasing Life, and her hospital stay puts her into a different mindset than we’ve ever seen before.

“She thinks she is ready and she is not,” Italia Ricci tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She emotionally, physically, psychologically she starts to lose it. How strong she’s been throughout the season, it all comes crashing down. The whole episode feels like she is trying so hard to get to the surface for a breath of air and things keep happening to her that keep preventing her from doing that and she can’t catch a break.”

Luckily, April has plenty loved ones to support her during her treatment — her sister, mother, grandmother, friends and a certain someone that might surprise you: Dominic. Her ex-boyfriend — or is he? — comes back  to surprise her, but their reunion isn’t all rainbows and butterflies.

If you’ve been watching the season, you could probably guess what might pull them apart — Leo. So will he come in between her and Dominic once and for all?

… it’s awkward, deadpan teenager Tina Belcher of Bob’s Burgers.

That’s right: One of the most animated entries on EW‘s list of TV’s Best Characters blew away 24 other worthy competitors—including Arya Stark, Alison Hendrix of Orphan Black, and even Benedict Cumberbatch Sherlock Holmes himself—to emerge victorious in our poll. Why does Tina deserve the honor? And she doesn’t even need dialogue to do it: Somehow Mintz has spun Tina’s signature awkward-teen moan into a reliable catchphrase.”

The poll’s outcome was a close one, with everyone in the ultimate top three leading at one point or another—but in the end, Tina reigned supreme. Probably because she’s a smart, strong, sensual woman.

November court date set for Hope Solo

The trial of Olympic gold medalist and Seattle Reign FC goalkeeper Hope Solo was set for Nov. 4 after a short hearing Monday morning in Kirkland Municipal Court.

Her attorney, Todd Maybrown, said he aims to have the case dismissed and have evidence suppressed.

“As expected, and as is normal in misdemeanor cases, today’s hearing was about setting a trial date. We’re pleased that both sides, and the judge, agreed to a November date and we look forward to the opportunity for the truth about this incident to be disclosed, which will clear Hope’s name,” Maybrown said in an email.

At the hearing, Solo was accompanied by her husband, former Seahawks tight end Jerramy Stevens.

If there are two things that are massive on the Interweb, it's electronic music and cats. The wise mad men (and women) over at Meow Mix understand this, so this week they unveiled a viral EDM remix, by DJ Ashworth, of the cat kibble's iconic theme song....

This is the first in a series of new Meow Mix remakes; next up is a Nashville version by country cat lady Kellie Pickler. Fans of cat jams can also create their own Meow Mixes in a mobile recording studio that will be at New York City's Columbus Circle on Aug. 13. For every jingle recorded, Meow Mix will donate 100 meals to the Food Bank of New York for cats in need. And that's a reason to get your glowsticks out!

Robin Williams to be Memorialized in WoW

A petition on Change.org has succeeded in getting the late Robin Williams memorialized in the popular MMORPG World of Warcraft.

According to the petition, Robin Williams was an avid fan of WoW and "took his World of Warcraft characters very serious [sic]."

"He often joked about his WoW addiction but also about the reactions he'd get from other gamers when he admits he plays the game," the post continues. "Because of his presence within our community, we the players of World of Warcraft are asking Blizzard to kindly create an NPC within the game that memorializes the actor/comedian."

The petition asks for the Williams NPC to perform some of the actor's best jokes, "so that he may continue making us smile long after his passing."

Petitioners got their wish late last night, when, in response to a tweet asking him if he'd seen the petition, Technical Game Designer, Chadd Nervigg responded"Yes. We're taking care of it." Robin Williams will appear as an NPC of some kind in the game.

Adam Senn thinks his bisexual pro basketballer character is 'a bit of a sociopath'

VH1's pro basketball drama Hit the Floor had its second season finale on Monday (11 August) and there may be hope yet for true romance between star player Zero and his agent Jude.

The pair, who began an affair a few episodes back, have a heart-to-heart in the locker room with Jude (Brent Antonello) saying he wants a real relationship, not just a sexual one.

In the final moments, Zero (Adam Senn) drops his guard a bit and the season ends with the possibility that the two may make a go of it.

'Zero is a bit of a sociopath,' Senn tells The Backlot. 'He’s unsure where he stands. But maybe it isn’t just about sex. It’s definitely about the camaraderie of having a friend, the one and only person that Zero felt like he could trust.'

'But there’s definitely a dynamic and that’s the beauty of those characters is playing with that dynamic and not making it just about being gay or being bi or anything. It’s a relationship and I think we’re just going to discover more as time goes on.'

While the Jude character has come to terms with the fact that he is in fact gay, Zero appears to be a bisexual who has so far only been willing to have relationships, publicly at least, with women.

Senn believes he has 'sociopathic tendencies' because he's always thinking about  how to get from point A to point B instead of thinking about people.

'I think Jude’s got him figured out,' he said. 'Jude is at peace with himself and who he is, which is awesome, and Brent does such a good job of playing the groundedness of where Jude stands.

Hopefully Zero can get to that point sometime next season, find himself and be confident with who he is instead of always trying to play it up for someone else.'

As far as having his character, who had previously been involved with a team cheerleader, becoming involved with a man, Senn had this to say: 'In general, I’ve always been very open in my life. My cousin was gay and I love him to this day so that stuff doesn’t bother me and I don’t mind pushing people’s buttons.'

Hit the Floor has been renewed for a third season.

Hollywood Insiders React to Studios Claiming Release Dates

Studios are grabbing release dates for a rush of mystery projects. More than twenty superhero movies are scheduled through 2020. What are Hollywood insiders saying about this?

Disney and Warner Bros. have both released long lists of "untitled" comic book properties. Add Fox and Sony into the mix and we're looking at over 20 superhero pics going into 2020. In a recent article, Pamela McClintock of The Hollywood Reporter explores the reasons behind the trend.

"It's a pissing contest," says box-office analyst Phil Contrino. "I don't think it's great for the industry as a whole. You want to see diversity in the release calendar instead of everything being scooped up for tentpoles."

As of now, a record 17 untitled superhero movies have been scheduled between 2016 and 2020. Back in March, Fox scheduled an untitled superhero film for July 13, 2018. Four months later Disney claimed July 6, just one week earlier, for an untitled Marvel film.

Experts predict one of the films will have to move. Not unlike Warner Bros. moving Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice from May 6, 2016, when it was set to face off with Captain America 3, up a month to March 25. "There will be far less competition," predicts Contrino, who commends Warner for its willingness to release BvS during Easter weekend. It'll actually be a first for a film of that size.

The article explains revenue from Time Warner's film division fell 2 percent over the last year. So on August 6, Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes promised to "mine DC Entertainment's catalog" to properly leverage its franchises. BvS' move to March 2016 was the first step.

Warner then began reserving dates for a staggering nine untitled DC pics. They also specified dates for J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter spinoffs beginning with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in 2016. "It's the new way of doing business," explains Warners distribution chief Dan Fellman.

The article states Disney has a hefty seven untitled Marvel projects lined up in addition to seven animation titles. Then there's Star Wars with Episode VII scheduled for December 18 of next year and three more entries in the works. "It's one thing for Disney to do it because it is batting a thousand. For the rest, I don't know," says one rival.

With so many comic book movies on deck, are we in danger of superhero overload? There are three superhero movies set for 2015 - Fox's reboot for The Fantastic Four, Marvel's Ant-Man and The Avengers: Age of Ultron. After 2015? Six superhero movies in 2016. Seven in 2017. Six in 2018.

Disney distribution chief Dave Hollis says, "Making really good movies will allow you to think less about what is around you competitively." Hollis successfully opened Guardians of the Galaxy (August) and Captain America: Winter Soldier (April) outside the usual summer window. He adds, "It also guarantees that people will show up for the brand."

Still, claiming a date so far out can become problematic [oy].

The article points out before The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hit theaters in May, Sony claimed audiences could expect the next two films in 2016 and 2018. But when TASM2 fell short of the TASM1's $757M global haul (part 2 grossed $708M) Sony had to abandon those dates. Instead, they scheduled The Sinister Six for November 2016 and a Spidey-universe female led film for 2017. McClintock calls it "a cautionary tale and a signal that a release date does not equal a movie."

"Planting flags is nice and all, but what really matters is big box office," says Rich Greenfield, an analyst for BTIG, a provider of global equity trading. "To me, dating is secondary to quality."

Michael B. Jordan continues to be the sharpest dresser ever while stepping out to celebrate the new AXE Gold Temptation at Pier 81 on Tuesday night (August 12) in New York City.
Earlier in the day, the 27-year-old actor was seen leaving an office building downtown.

Mike recently opened up about his breakthrough role as Wallace on The Wire and when his character got killed off the show.
“Each script that I got, I’d just be flipping through the pages to see if my name was in the back,” Michael told HuffPo.“It was like okay, now I can read it, because people were dropping like flies. Like nobody was safe on that show.”
He continued, “I got that dreadful knock on my trailer and [creator and writer] David Simon was like, ‘Look, I love you. Everybody loves you. But that’s why we gotta kill you.’ And yeah, Wallace was gone.”

There was no big blowout, no dramatic discussion or even an exchange of words.

When Rob Kardashian decided to skip out on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding, he broke the news to his sister via email, she told Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen on Tuesday.

"He sent me a long email the morning of, that he was going to leave," she told Cohen. "There was no fight. ... We didn't even have a conversation about it."

Kardashian – who insisted things between the two are fine now, calling her brother "one of my best friends"– said she put the incident on the back burner to focus on enjoying her over-the-top Italian nuptials.

"I said, 'You know what? This is my day. I'm not going to worry about it. I totally hope he's okay,'" Kardashian said of her reaction to his departure. "I totally understand that he wouldn't want to go and want to see a lot of people if he's feeling uncomfortable."

Although she expressed regret that Rob wasn't on hand to witness the important moment in her life, she's not willing to dwell on the past. "You can only pray and wish that someone would not miss out on more memories in life, because life is about memories, so fix the problem," she said bluntly.

Kardashian, who with West celebrated their daughter North's first birthday in June, has been busy working on losing what she believes are lingering pregnancy pounds.

And while she can empathize with Rob's weight issues, Kardashian said she refuses to sit back and let life pass her by.

"I'm definitely a tough-love kind of person. If I don't like something that is going on in my life, I change it," she said. "I don't sit and complain about it for a year. I'm just a different personality."

She added: "I try to encourage him, and once you just don't make that change for so long and it's not happening, I get frustrated. My patience runs out."

In Honor of Her 10 Year Reunion, Lauren Conrad Gives Advice to Her 18-Year Old Self

Those of you who were Laguna Beach fans may have realized that it’s officially been 10 years since my friends and I graduated high school and went off into the ‘real world.’ So crazy! In light of my 10-year reunion, I’ve been doing a little reflecting. I recently received the below question to my LaurenConrad.com email inbox, and decided to share the answer with everyone:

What are three things you wish you could tell your 18-year-old self?

Well, 18-year-old Lauren, here’s my advice…

1. Wear sunscreen!

This is an obvious one. When I was a teenager, tanning was the mode du jour and I was all about getting that sun-kissed (or tanning bed orange…) glow. I felt invincible, and never thought twice about the skin damage caused by UV rays. Nowadays, I’ve learned to embrace my natural skin tone in the hopes that it will mean less wrinkles and a lower risk of skin cancer as I get older. I never leave home without my SPF.

2. Enjoy being young.

They say that youth is wasted on the young, and I couldn’t agree more. When I was 18, I was in a hurry to grow up. Instead, I wish I would have taken a beat to just enjoy being young. So many things are new when you’re that age and the level of responsibility is still low. It’s important to enjoy that phase just like any other.

3. Be an individual.

Being 18 years old means you’re at an age of many exciting changes. For so long you’ve gone to school with the same people, and everything you’ve done is with the same group of friends in more or less the same environment. Then, for the first time you get to go off on your own and make real, conscious decisions about where you want life to take you. You get to choose your school, your major, and what kind of person you’ll become. So when you’re making these decisions, be an individual. It’s the best way to discover who you really are.
