Jenny McCarthy & Donnie Wahlberg's Wedding: All About the Dress, Date, Bridesmaids & Wahlburgers!

 photo DonnieJenny.jpg
Jenny McCarthy couldn't be more excited about her and Donnie Wahlberg's upcoming "I do's!"

On Saturday at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, N.J., Jenny took a break from her Dirty, Sexy, Funny tour and dished to E! News exclusively about her wedding.

To begin with, though, the most important detail: Who will design the wedding dress? "Gucci, yes," the View co-host said, adding cutely, "Gucci, maybe."

As for the bridesmaids, who will include Jenny's sisters, "all the comedians on the Dirty, Sexy, Funny tour and Donnie's sisters"? They'll be wearing, "Forever 21, for sure,"
she said with a laugh.

Jenny said she and Donnie "really hope" that his brother, chef Paul Wahlberg, will cater the wedding. "Why not some Wahlburgers?" Jenny suggested, referring to the food from the family's Boston-based restaurant

The future Mrs. Wahlberg hopes to tie the knot in New York in the near future (or as she put it, "I will say fall of this year!") and it seems likely that her 12-year-old son Evan will be part of the big day. "Donnie included Evan [when he proposed]," gushed Jenny, "and that really made me cry!"

He's a thoughtful dude. He'd also be good for daytime TV according to his fiancée! In fact, Jenny said "100 percent" that Donnie should fill Barbara Walters' empty seat on The View. "He would be perfect," she said, "A wicked good co-host!"

Guess Who's Behind This Disco-Fueled Track

We've been sworn to secrecy, but the music speaks for itself

Due in no small part to the success of a couple of Parisian robots, disco is fully back in vogue these days. With its buoyant analog chords, filtered funk synths, and vocoded hook, this blistering tune by a shape-shifting dance legend takes a few cues from the Daft Punk playlist and is a flawless fit for the times.

Billboard was given an exlcusive listen to this forthcoming track, but we've been sworn to secrecy on the exact artist’s identity. But, after a fair amount of begging, we were given exclusive permission to leak this 50-second snippet to the world. For now, the music will have to speak for itself.

Check out the tease above, and stay tuned for the big reveal coming soon. (And feel free to hit @billboard on twitter with any guesses about who the secret star might be.)

Listen to the snippet @ the Source

I'm going with Madonna, she said last year she wanted to work with Daft Punk and this sounds produced by them imo.

The Weinstein Co., Focus Features, A24 Films, Fox Searchlight and Open Road Films are all interested in the film.

CANNES -- Jake Gyllenhaal's crime drama Nightcrawler is sparking heated interest among U.S. buyers.

The Weinstein Co. and Focus Features are firmly entrenched in talks with WME Global and CAA, which are co-repping domestic rights, while A24 Films, Open Road Films and Fox Searchlight are also showing interest.

News of a domestic deal comes as Nightcrawler, from Bold Films, is being shopped to foreign buyers at the Cannes Film Market by Sierra/Affinity.

Nightcrawler, now completed, marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Dan Gilroy. Rene Russo, Gilroy's wife, and Bill Paxton co-star in the movie.

Gilroy most recently co-wrote the screenplay for The Bourne Legacy with his brother Tony Gilroy. Tony Gilroy and Jennifer Fox, who collaborated on Michael Clayton, Duplicity and the Bourne series, are producing Nightcrawler with Gyllenhaal.

Bold Films' Michel Litvak and David Lancaster are also producers, while Gary Michael Walters is executive producing.

‘Arrow’ cast breaks down every shocking moment from the season finale

$
0
0

In case you missed it, the second season finale of “Arrow” was bananas, down to the final few seconds that literally no one could see coming. And with all these cliffhangers come many, many burning questions.

Lucky for you, we were able to catch up with the cast of the show the morning after the finale aired, at the CW Upfront in New York — and asked them all the pressing questions you need to know, now.

Hey, it may not make the wait for the third season premiere shorter, but it will certainly help you kill time until then. And, of course, spoilers ahead:

Wait, Are They Really Going To Hong Kong?
The big season ending twist was that Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), who we thought spent “five years trapped on a hellish island,” actually spent at least part of one of those years in Hong Kong. The last shot showed the possibly evil, possibly good Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) welcoming Queen to the city — and to season three, metaphorically speaking.

But they’re not really going to Hong Kong, right? In real life?

“We are actually hoping to get to Hong Kong,” Amell told us. “He’s not on the island anymore, he’s in Hong Kong. It’s exciting, it’s a twist.”

So are they going to have to amend the opening narration to say, “I spent four hellish years on an island, and then one in Hong Kong?” According to Amell, probably not.

“I feel like there’s not going to be a lot about Hong Kong that’s better than the island,” Amell added.

Can Oliver Seriously, Possibly Not Know How Felicity Feels About Him?
The most scream-worthy moment for #Olicity fans was when Oliver tells Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) that he loves her… Only for it to turn out he’s just trying to fake out the big bad guy Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett).

And then once everything is hunky dory, Felicity recalls the moment, saying, “Boy, wouldn’t it be funny if we really loved each other?” To which he responds by basically not saying anything and then walking out of the shot.

So come on, let’s be honest: Oliver can’t be that dumb, right? He has to know Felicity really loves him by now… Right?

“Oliver knows,” Amell said. “I don’t think he’s playing. He was put in a position where he had to do the unthinkable. He had to put her in jeopardy. Whether or not he’s telling the truth about her, that will be resolved pretty soon on the show.”

Emily Bett Rickards agreed, saying, “No, he knows. I think he knows. Everybody knows. Moira knew, Sara knew, people knew. She’s not ashamed people know, but her beauty and strength come from, ‘I want you to be happy.’ She realizes he’s not the only man on the planet.

“But there’s such a strong love there, and they’ve been in a lot of life or death situations together, and being able to call each other out on each other’s s–t… Not everybody does that for you. When he says, ‘I love you,’ to her, I think it came from a really honest place. That’s his question now, that’s his battle.”

Yeah, but come on: just walking away without saying anything? To quote Stephanie Tanner, “How rude!:

“It’s a little rude, but at the same time, what is he gonna– she’s the one who says, ‘Let’s go home,’ there’s nothing more to be said,” Rickards added. “They just locked Slade in Purgatory, so is our relationship really next on your mind? It’s always there, but…”

Okay, fine. Harumph.

Will Quentin Be Spitting Up Blood All Next Season?
No, we couldn’t predict the Hong Kong twist. But we really couldn’t have foreseen that Quentin Lance’s (Paul Blackthorne) final moments of season two would be spitting up blood due to surprise internal injuries, cradled by his screaming daughter.

“It’s tough being an adult in Starling City, the internal injuries will get you every time,” Blackthorne joked. “We’ll see what happens next season.”

Katie Cassidy, who plays Quentin’s daughter Laurel was ever so slightly more forthcoming on the issue.

“It would be devastating for Laurel to lose her father,” Cassidy said. “He is the closest thing to her, they’re so much alike, and a lot of what Laurel has, the strength comes from Quentin so it would obviously be devastating to lose him.”

Then again, she has had a lot of people die in her life on the show, so maybe Laurel is tough enough to take it? As Cassidy said, “she’s lost a lot of people before, so I think she can handle anything.”

Is Sara Gone For Good?
Right before the whole “spitting up blood” thing, Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) leaves on a boat for parts unknown, now a member of The League of Assassins. Despite Sara having previously been thought dead for five years, Quentin seemed remarkable okay with the prospect.

So is there more going on here?

“Of course he’s conflicted, he doesn’t want to see her go,” Blackthorne said. “But at the same time he knows what she’s like, you can’t pin a good girl down. She’s off. He’s just resigned to this, these daughters of his… They have their will, and off they go.”

Is Laurel The New Black Canary?
…And right before Sara leaves, she hands Laurel her Black Canary jacket. “It fits,” says Laurel, who in the comics takes on the mantle of the character. “Don’t get any ideas,” Quentin quips back.

But yeah, she’s totally going to be the Black Canary, right? When we asked Cassidy the question bluntly, she laughed right in our little faces.

“I don’t know, am I?” Cassidy asked. “Well, I put a jacket on last night, and it fit, so we’ll see.”

If she does take on the moniker, however, Cassidy sees it as a natural progression for the character from her season two arc.

“Season two was Laurel’s quote unquote island,” Cassidy said. “Everything that’s happened there, [they found] if they’re going to become a hero they have to earn it. For Laurel, [her island] was season two. Season three she puts on the jacket, she’s already been fighting and kicking some ass, she’s going to embrace the whole situation and want to be a part of Team Arrow and get as much involved as she can, and…”

Cassidy paused, before bashfully adding with a laugh, “I’ve started working out.”

Blackthorne, meanwhile, thinks that Quentin would not be a fan of having another superhero in the family.

“Quentin will be sticking his head in the sand about another daughter becoming a superhero, he definitely doesn’t want to see it happen,” Blackthorne said.

For Cassidy, though, the prospect is extremely enticing.

“Wouldn’t that be awesome?” Cassidy mused. “Lawyer by day, superhero by night, I like the sound of that. You never know.”

Is Thea Queen Next Season’s Big Bad?
After finding out that her father was the vicious villain Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), Thea Queen (Willa Holland) rejected her life in Starling City, and left with Merlyn for parts unknown.

So is she about to become Thea Merlyn?

“Well, she’s daughter, of course she’s going to be– I’m saying this, they’re going to be, ‘don’t say this, don’t say anything,’ but I’d love it,” Barrowman said when we asked about the name change. “I’d love her to be Thea Merlyn. She could be Thea Queen-Merlyn, so she’s queen of the Merlyns.”

Those wondering if we’ll see any sweet Malcolm/Thea training sequences in season three? Worry not, as Barrowman has been bumped up to series regular status.

“The exciting part is that Merlyn has someone he can mold,” Barrowman continued. “If Malcolm had his way, he would have wanted Oliver as a son. But Thea, he’s going to try and get to Thea mentally and physically to make sure she’s molded to perfection, so they can rule together.”

Malcolm, as viewers know, has been both businessman and trained assassin. So given Barrowman’s statements, are we going to see Thea learnin’ in the boardroom, or in the streets?

“Well, this is what I think, nothing has been said yet, so let’s just make that clear, nothing has been put down on paper,” Barrowman said. “As Malcolm Merlyn, I want to teach her, businesswise, I want to teach her physically how to defend herself, how to overpower people. I want to create this beautiful, female powerhouse, that I can sit back and go, ‘Mwaaa ha ha.’”

We’re looking forward to a full season of that mustache twirling.

‘Full House’ women never let go, so what about a reunion?

Aunt Becky. DJ Tanner. Kimmy Gibbler. They are the women of “Full House,” and their names will live on TV sitcom history.

The kid-centric sitcom about an unconventional family premiered on ABC in 1987 and ended in 1995. But in the years since, actresses Lori Loughlin (Aunt Becky), Candace Cameron Bure (DJ Tanner) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler) have remained close friends.

“We’re closer now than we even were on the set,” Barber said.

She, Loughlin and Bure sat down with ABC News’ Chris Connelly to talk about their friendship.

“We loved each other so much,” Loughlin, 49, said. “I really felt like, as an audience member, that came across”.

They all grew up and pursued their lives. Barber has two children, and earned a master’s degree in women’s studies. Bure, 38, has written several books and has three children. Loughlin has two children. She is starring in “When Calls the Heart” on the Hallmark Channel.

Even with families of their own and complicated schedules, they make time for each other. Barber, 37, loves to run marathons, and has gotten Bure to run some 10Ks with her.

Loughlin and Barber have been in the “Dancing With the Stars” ballroom audience several times this season to see Bure compete. She will compete against three others in the finals Monday.

Loughlin said her two daughters tweet support for Bure.

“I mean Candace has been killing it on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ and Andrea and I have been watching and voting and we’ve gone to visit her and, you know, you just — you get out there, you support the ones that you love,” she said.

Bure said the support means “everything” to her, and called Loughlin and Barber “family.”

“I mean these are two of my closest friends. I’ve known them virtually my entire life. So the fact that they’re there and they’re supporting me and tweeting and doing the social media and all that, it’s amazing,” she said. “You know, I know that I’m — because being on the show, on ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ the public votes mean so much. I mean that’s what’s really kept me in this competition. So know there are a ton of ‘Full House’ fans so the fact that these guys are tweeting extra for me going, vote for Candace, I’m like, I need that.”

The three women may be connected for life by their time on “Full House,” but their children aren’t all as connected, they said.

Loughlin said her children watch the show “once in a while. But they always say to me, ‘Oh, it’s weird.’ It’s weird to see anything I do, they say it’s weird.”

Barber’s children watch. She says they “turn it on every morning,” adding that they love the Joey character played by Dave Coulier.

Bure said her children watch more now than they did when they were younger.

“But my, my youngest, Maks, loves that I was on the show because — he switched schools this year and it instantly gave him a ton of friends once they found out who I — who his mom was,” she said, adding that her son had a DJ Tanner T-shirt that he wears to school.

Growing Up in Front of America

In her book “Balancing It All,” Bure recalled Loughlin’s support on the set of the show during her adolescence. She was considered a kind of big sister on the set.

“It can be a strange thing growing up in front of all of America. So whenever I had a question, even with my first kiss, I was like, ‘Lori, what do I do?’” Bure recalled.

“‘Do I, do I open my eyes, do I close my eyes?’” Loughlin chimed in, channeling Bure.

When Connelly asked Loughlin how she answered Bure’s question, she replied: “You close them.”

“I was like, ‘OK,’” Bure said.

And no discussion of the cast could be complete without the question of the relationship between Loughlin and co-star John Stamos, who played Uncle Jesse. Stamos famously described Loughlin as “the one that got away.”

Loughlin said she believed “poor John” may have been on the spot when he came up with that phrase, but she did say they were great friends.

“The truth is, when I was on the show, I was married to, to my first husband so — and then I was getting divorced at the same time he was meeting [model] Rebecca [Romijn] and we just — I don’t know, we just kind of missed,” she said.

“But we’re, I mean, I love John. We are great friends. We have great chemistry. I mean I’ve said all of this before, you know, he’s one of my favorite people and he’s always there for me and, you know, he will be, you know, my lifelong buddy.”

Barber and Bure have managed to lead quiet lives, avoiding the pitfalls that have trapped so many child stars.

Loughlin explained that her friends came from good families and had a solid foundation. She added that they were on a set with adults who came from similar backgrounds, and they were very grounded.

“We didn’t have any wild cards on the show. We didn’t have any drug issues. We didn’t, we just didn’t have anything like that,” she said.

Bure said she doesn’t even remember being offered drugs.

Added Barber: “That was not our crowd. Not on the set and not in our personal lives at home with the school. I hung with the yearbook crowd at my school, you know? It’s all about how you choose your friends and I think Lori’s right, it’s about good parenting and having good role models, too.”

On the final day of shooting, the cast linked arms and walked together off the set.

“I have chills,” Barber said, recalling the moment.

A ‘Full House’ Reunion?
Loughlin said the moment was “bittersweet.”

So will there ever be a “Full House” reunion?'

“There’s always conversations going around,” Bure said, but adding that any such project would have to be done right and not tarnish the show’s legacy.

Loughlin agreed.

“I know for me, like growing up watching, whatever, ‘The Brady Bunch,’ and then the reunion show comes back and it’s always a little bit of a disappointment, in my opinion,” she said. “Sometimes I think things are better off just left the way they are.”

Solange Knowles escapes difficult 'family problems' as she returns home to The Big Easy in wake of furore over elevator skirmish with brother-in-law Jay Z

The singer tweeted on Tuesday that she had just returned home to the Big Easy after performing in New York the night before.

She wrote on the micro-blogging site: 'Hey @Delta I have one of the kindest and personable pilots and flight attendants this morning flying home to nola. Can I DM their names?'

Meanwhile, the younger sister to superstar Beyonce was dressed in a flowy lemon yellow muumuu, as she walked around the humid streets in white leather boots.

Sporting a dark pair of sunglasses, Solange let her hair relax with a funky afro as she carried a yellow purse slung over her shoulder.
The star certainly looked to be thriving in the relaxed Southern city as she smiled happily throughout the stroll with her beau.

Alan, a music video director, wore a pink button down shirt and blue jeans as he wore brown leather cowboy boots.

The hip duo looked to be soaking in the Louisiana warmth as they idly chatted lounging in a park before resuming their stroll along the river.

Solange and Alan looked to be enjoying their time together as they held hands walking over a bridge before embracing in a show of affection.

At one point the star had to keep her dress in place as her hair was blown about by the warm winds coming off of the Mississippi river, clearly a thrilling experience.

Meanwhile, Beyonce, Jay Z and Solange released a joint statement on Thursday to address the now infamous elevator showdown video.

'As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it,' they said in a statement.

'Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.'

A hotel surveillance video was leaked on Monday showing Solange, 27, lashing out wildly at her 44-year-old brother-in-law, with both her arms and her legs, while her sister, 32, stood beside them looking curiously impassive.
'The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false,' the statement continued.

'At the end of the day families have problems and we're no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We've put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.'

The famous family were in an elevator descending from a soiree that followed the annual fashion fest at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art last week.
The seemingly unprovoked attack plays out in footage obtained by TMZ.
Solange can clearly be seen kicking and swinging violently at Jay Z, the father of her two-year-old niece, Blue Ivy, after the trio step into the elevator.

Solange was screaming at her family member when the fight erupted and can be seen in the footage mouthing what appears to be a diatribe at the hip hop legend, according to TMZ sources.

In the footage, a man who looks to be a bodyguard tries to hold Solange back but she manages to rain blows on the rapper several times, and even hits him with her purse.

Because the tape does not include audio, the world has been left to wonder what caused Beyonce's younger sister to violently lash out at her brother-in-law.

The latest theory from alleged insiders pieces together various different aspects.

Sources told PageSix that while Solange was reportedly 'provoked' during an outburst with designer Rachel Roy before getting in the elevator.

Reports say Solange flew into a rage after the rapper had 'got too close' to Rachel at the Met Gala, according to Hollywood Life.

Solange was annoyed that Californian fashion designer Rachel, 40, was hovering around Jay Z at the star-studded New York event.

An insider told the site: 'Solange was defending Beyoncé in the elevator because Solange finds Jay’s friendship with Rachel to be WAY too close for comfort and it makes Solange very uncomfortable.'

The insider added: 'Beyoncé also confronted Rachel and said, "Don’t talk to my sister like that," after [Rachel] confronted Solange.'

And Solange was apparently so incensed about the whole affair she ended up getting into the violent confrontation with her brother-in-law.

The singer was also believed to be dealing with a number of emotional and financial problems that came to a head at that moment.

'She used to be on (Jay Z’s) label, but now she isn’t. And she moved to New Orleans from Brooklyn with her son. Solange still spends a lot of time in New York, but she is further away from her family, which has created some issues,' a source told the paper.

'Clearly she was on something at the party, she was drunk and out of it. The girl is crazy and prone to outbursts. She got in the elevator with Jay and Bey. He had made a comment that she didn’t like, and she just snapped,' another person said.

A source said Solange's pals 'wouldn't leave and kept name dropping Jay Z. They were pretending they were guests of his and not hers. Management went to Julius (Beyonce's bodyguard) and said there's a problem.'

Some reports have argued that Solange may have been overreacting in defense of her sister - who is seen standing in the corner as Solange attacks her husband.

Meanwhile, the Standard Hotel says it has identified and fired the person who recorded security video appearing to show Beyonce's sister attacking Jay Z inside an elevator last week.

The establishment says the person has been terminated for 'breaching the security polices of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video.'

Hannibal Post Mortem: Where do Will's True Loyalties Lie?

$
0
0

How did you want this episode to continue the dance Hannibal and Will have been doing in the second half of this season?

Bryan Fuller: One of the exciting things for us in this episode was to actually see Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham as Leopold and Loeb. They choose a victim, they stalk and toy with the victim, and then they finish the victim off. It really is a tale of murder husbands. [Laughs]

Meanwhile, Jack doesn't seem very pleased with the games Will is playing with Hannibal.

Fuller: Jack is getting very nervous because they have been in this entrapment scenario for a while. We have very intentionally held off on Jack's point of view because it helped lull the audience into that seduction. Now that we are seeing where Jack is, we're seeing him at the end of a spectrum. At the beginning of that spectrum it was, "You hook him, I'll catch him." Now it's, "Sh-t or get off the pot." It's a natural reaction for him. He has made huge sacrifices to catch this guy he knows is going to be impossible to catch otherwise.

Mason certainly seemed to be enjoying himself even though he was cutting off his own face!

Fuller: [Laughs] Michael Pitt was having the time of his life with this performance. And there's something between Hannibal and Will in that moment that is very playful, which is perhaps a strange word to use in that context. But there's a gamesmanship afoot because Hannibal essentially says, "I got him to cut off his face. Your turn."

And I assume Mason doesn't tell Jack the truth because he too has some of his own twisted plans for Hannibal.
