The Bachelorette's Emily Maynard: 4th Engagement Is My Last

$

Even though she had agreed to tie the knot three times before, Emily Maynard tells PEOPLE her fourth engagement to automotive management consultant Tyler Johnson "is my last. I really mean it. I'm actually making it to the marriage part this time!"

Once unsure about what her future would hold, the former Bachelorette star says that sharing her life with Johnson "is everything I've been praying for for years."

The two recently bought a home in Charlotte, North Carolina, and have begun furniture shopping in anticipation of moving in over the summer.

The couple is also eager to start adding to their family unit of three humans, "three dogs, a cat, some fish – it's a zoo here," Maynard says with a laugh. "I've got to have a baby soon!"

Despite not making a firm decision on a wedding date, Maynard has been having a ball checking out dresses and wedding cakes with her daughter Ricki, 8.

"I keep telling Ricki it's just as much her wedding as it is mine. It's been fun to see her get excited about it," says Maynard, joking that she's not getting bogged down in the details. "I don't want to be Bridezilla. I don't want any gifts. I don't need a toaster. I don't want a waffle maker. I just want everybody to come and chill and have fun."

Reality fans became acquainted with Maynard when she appeared on season 15 of The Bachelor. The single mom, who lost her fiancé, NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick, in a 2004 plane crash, got engaged to Bachelor Brad Womack on the season finale. Their relationship ended in June 2011.

A year later Maynard and Johnson, both 28, met just as Maynard began filming season eight of The Bachelorette.

"I did a jewelry making class at a middle school that was adopted by my church and he's an elder at the church," Maynard explains. "He would help me carry out the boxes. I thought, 'He's the nicest person.'"

The two reconnected after Maynard's engagement to Jef Holm ended.

"We went on our first date in January of last year," Maynard says, noting that 12 months later, Johnson proposed, presenting her with five gold and diamond bands as engagement rings.

'Masters of Sex': Get a First Look at Season Two

"As we move through history, their lives and their careers change dramatically," showrunner Michelle Ashford tells THR. "Whereas most shows stay the same, it's one of those where it will look really different every year."

When Showtime's Masters of Sex returns for its second season, the Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan drama will follow real-life sex researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson out of the hospital and into a different part of St. Louis.

The Hollywood Reporter has a first look at the sophomore season of the drama, which kicks off where the freshman run ended, with Masters (Sheen) standing in the pouring rain at the doorstep of his former partner (in more ways than one), Johnson (Caplan).

"There is one thing I can’t live without," an emotional Masters says. "It’s you."

At a recent Television Academy panel, Sheen likened his character to “a fish out of water” in the coming season, a description confirmed by the exhausted, distraught Masters featured in the clip above.

The first-look video also shows Masters' wife, Libby (Caitlin FitzGerald), who believed she was infertile for most of the first season, holding their crying newborn. She continues to be frustrated with their marriage and now her husband’s current job situation, or lack thereof.

Virginia, meanwhile, seems to be having problems of her own -- especially of the financial sort. She refuses money from Lillian DePaul (Julianne Nicholson), who reminds her that she had no qualms taking money from Masters -- something Virginia likely would have preferred to forget.

Tensions are high in the coming season, but the clip seems to end on a promising note for Masters and Virginia. "I’m assuming it’s not an accident meeting in a hotel," Virginia says as Masters proceeds to grab their room key from the front desk.

Executive producer Michelle Ashford recently told THR that the series will continue to explore different aspects of Masters and Johnson's real lives.

"As we move through history, their lives and their careers change dramatically," she said. "Whereas most shows stay the same, it’s one of those where it will look really different every year."
Masters of Sex returns July 13 at 10 p.m. on Showtime.

Mel Brooks on the N-word and Being Politically Correct

$

For those of you who haven't seen the movie, shame on you. Stop reading and go indulge. It's so much more than a hilarious joke-a-second spoof of Westerns, it's also a scathing indictment on the idiocy of racial prejudice. It's the rare film that manages to be both highbrow and lowbrow at the same time. And on its own terms.

"They can't make that movie today because everybody's so politically correct. You know, the NAACP would stop a great movie that would do such a great service to black people because of the N-word," says Brooks. "You've got to really examine these things and see what's right and what's wrong. Politically correct is absolutely wrong. Because it inhibits the freedom of thought. I'm so lucky that they weren't so strong then and that the people that let things happen on the screen weren't so powerful then. I was very lucky."

With a new 40th anniversary Blu-ray edition dropping this week, we got Brooks on the horn to talk all things "Blazing Saddles." In his inimitably frenetic style, Brooks recounted how Richard Pryor gave the filmmaker license to use the N-word, even though he couldn't get Pryor cast; how Gene Wilder stepped in to save the film; and why "Blazing Saddles" should be considered the single greatest comedy of all-time.

ABC is doubling down on Marvel TV shows.

First, Agents of SHIELD is returning for a second season. That move was pretty widely expected, despite the show’s somewhat modest ratings performance.

Plus, ABC has also greenlit to series its Captain America spin-off Agent Carter (or, as the studio insists it’s titled, Marvel’s Agent Carter).

Official description of the new series from ABC: “Marvel’s Agent Carter,” starring “Captain America’s” Hayley Atwell follows the story of Peggy Carter. It’s 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life – Steve Rogers. Inspired by the feature films “Captain America: The First Avenger” and “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” along with the short “Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter.” “Marvel’s Agent Carter” stars Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter. Executive producers are Michele Fazekas & Tara Butters, Steve McFeely & Christopher Marcus, and Jeph Loeb.

Director J.C. Chandor turns back the clock to 1981, one of the deadliest years in New York City history, for A Most Violent Year, an action-packed drama (due this fall) about surviving the American dream. Oscar Isaac plays Abel, a principled gas businessman whose growing profits bump up against the New York underworld. His wife, Anna (Jessica Chastain), has some Brooklyn connections who might be able to lend some muscle when rivals start hijacking their gas trucks.“Her father and brother are well-connected on the wrong side of the law and Abel is not,” says Chastain. “There are certain things he won’t do, [so] she thinks maybe she has to. Like, maybe I have to be the man, too.”

The film is definitely a larger and more ambitious canvas for Chandor, whose first two movies were critically acclaimed indies. “Margin Call was in an office, All is Lost was one man on a boat,” says Chastain. “This film has the scope of the world. This is New York in 1981.”
In the film, the couple were high school sweethearts from opposite sides of the tracks, though Chastain’s Anna has plenty of Brooklyn grit and edge. “I’m always looking for ways to make my character not sweet,” says Chastain, who preps for her characters by making a list of things her character says about herself and things that others say about her. “It’s rare in an American film.”

Tyra Banks: 'I Know the Pain of Someone Who's Too Thin – And Too Big'

$

Tyra Banks is not one to keep her self-doubt a secret.

When the supermodel and her mother, Carolyn London, launched a program in 1999 to mentor young girls – the TZONE Foundation – Banks realized the importance of sharing the insecurities she experienced while growing up.

"The summer I turned 11 years old, I lost 30 lbs. and I had a growth spurt," Banks, 40, tells PEOPLE in this week's issue. "And it wasn't even supermodel thin. It was more than that. Some people thought I had an eating disorder." She didn't.

"There was nothing I could do to gain weight," she says, "It was in the 1980s during the Ethiopian famine, and I got a lot of comments."

Banks had to visit the doctor repeatedly. "I was poked with a lot of needles to see what was wrong with me. I was even misdiagnosed with gigantism," she says.

Gradually, as she grew up, she started to gain weight and fill out.

"Who would have thought that the girl who was forced to go to the hospital because she's so skinny would one day be called too fat?" says Banks. "I know the pain of somebody who's too thin and the pain of somebody that people say is too big."

"That 11-year-old girl always lives inside of me," says Banks, who works with young women on everything from self-esteem to the importance of elocution and entrepreneurship.

"I show them un-retouched photos of myself," says Banks. "They're like, 'Whoa.' But I tell them the truth. I want every girl to find their own beauty."

The America's Next Top Model executive producer remembers the moment when she knew she wanted to do more to help young girls, which was during her book tour for Tyra's Beauty Inside and Out.

"There was a girl with a black eye," she recalls. "And she said, 'How do I cover my black eye? My boyfriend hit me and I need to know how to cover it.' I will never forget it. I knew I had to go further and do more," says Banks.

It's a feeling she tapped into to partner with the Lower Eastside Girls Center for Community in New York and launch an ongoing TZONE Foundation program.

"I never want to be someone to just check a box and not show up," says Banks, who is hosting the second annual TZONE Foundation Flawsome Ball on May 6 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. "I want to be a part of this."

"Flaws are awesome – so, 'flawsome!' I love making up a word."

Cara Delevingne and Scooby Snackhouse support the #BringBackOurGirls Campaign and do stuff

“Elderflower cordial,” she said her cocktail was called. It’s a very British drink, dainty and girlish, just like Suki herself.

She’s had a nutty week. Though she has been modeling since her teens — she’s now 22 — her career has really taken off in the last year. She’s been in various advertising campaigns, including Burberry, and has even landed some bit acting roles. That she has been dating Cooper only added some Hollywood pizzazz to her profile. This week, things went to the next level when she made her most high-profile appearance yet — on the red carpet at the Met ball alongside Cooper, one of the cochairs.

She’s not intimidated by any of it, though.

“It’s actually been way more relaxed than you think. Everything’s been really easy once you know what you’re doing and you’ve got your dress and your s--t sorted out. If you’ve got your s--t together, you’re fine.” Then you’re inside and it’s — how was it, Suki? — “pretty f---ing cool.”

She was asked if Cooper felt at home in that crowd of fashionistas, who are more her people. “You’d have to ask him.” There was it again, that Suki sass.

Cooper couldn’t make it to where Suki was now, a dinner coinciding with the annual Frieze Art Fair in honor of artists at the New Museum, where the hosting duties fell to herself, Burberry, W magazine and the museum’s director, Lisa Phillips.

Frieze is a first for Suki too, and she’s spending all of Thursday museum-ing, as she referred to it. “I have it written down. I’m going to the Neuehouse, the Gragosian [sic] — sorry I can’t say it — and the MoMA,” she said. Even the way she mispronounces Gagosian is adorable. “But then I’m also going shopping. I’ve got quite a lot to do.” No kidding.

The dinner was the first of the string of events that explode every year around Frieze. Maggie Gyllenhaal, Dianna Agron, Tracey Emin, “Belle” star Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophie Auster and Lily Donaldson were in attendance. Naomi Campbell and Olivier Rousteing came late with W fashion director Edward Enninful, who had just received an award from the New York Urban League elsewhere in town. Agron is a regular on the international art fair circuit.

“I have a couple of pieces I’ve bought for myself. It’s not often that I indulge but that’s because I have a mortgage to pay,” she said. “I’ve done a lot of indie films in the last few years and those are not the breadwinners so you have to watch your spending.”

Gyllenhaal came all the way from the Dior cruise show at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. She switched clothes on the way over, from Dior into Burberry. “Wouldn’t you?” she said. The actress took in Frieze last year, but she’s skipping this one.

“It’s too hectic,” her husband Peter Sarsgaard chimed in. “It’s the way people in New Orleans don’t go to Mardi Gras.”

Sherri Shepherd Throws Husband Out Of Their House

Sherri Shepherd and her husband Lamar Sally are splitting up and their breakup is already incredibly nasty. “He is giving her the blues,” a source close to the situation reveals about The View host’s relationship with her estranged husband. “Their whole relationship was built on a fraud and it’s finally over. She’s thrown him out of the house and he’s tried to speak with her but nothing is happening.”

According to the source, Shepherd, 47, has been frustrated with Sally, 43, and his promises of having a successful career. “Lamar told Sherri that he was a big Hollywood player, with scripts being sold. But she’s tired of being married to a guy that doesn’t have a job.” Another source claims that Sally has been working and sold a series to HBO but that never made it to air“Lamar is a very good writer and has won numerous awards,” the source said. “He also produced Sherri’s comedy show and that turned out really good. He did an excellent job with that.”

This is the second marriage for Shepherd, who tied the knot with Sally in 2011 with her View co-host Elisabeth Hasselback as a bridesmaid, and the source said he has been a blessing to her young son. “Lamar was a father figure to Jeffrey, and he really took care of the boy. He really loves him and was great with him.” When reached for comment, Sally told Radar that he misses Shepherd’s son Jeffrey. “I was great with Jeffrey. He was in my life for four years.” However, the source revealed this isn’t enough for Shepherd. “Sherri doesn’t need or want a babysitter for her son, she wants an equal partner.”

Larry Wilmore to Take Place of Stephen Colbert on Comedy Central

What comes after “The Colbert Report”?

On Comedy Central it will be “The Minority Report” and the host will be the “Senior Black Correspondent” from “The Daily Show” — otherwise known as Larry Wilmore.

Comedy Central has concluded a deal with Jon Stewart’s production company, Busboy Productions, to create the follow-up show to the Emmy-winning “Colbert Report,” which will be coming to an end in the next year when its star, Stephen Colbert, leaves to succeed David Letterman on CBS’s “Late Show.”

The idea for “The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore,” as the show will be known, came from Mr. Stewart himself, who proposed that the 11:30 p.m. time period behind his nightly “Daily Show” was the ideal place for a new format, one that that would "provide an opportunity for the underrepresented voices out there,” as Michele Ganeless, the president of Comedy Central put it in an interview.

The idea is to have a panel of those voices led by Mr. Wilmore, commenting on the issues of the day – but in a comedy, scripted format, Ms. Ganeless said.

Mr. Colbert will work on “The Colbert Report” until Dec. 17. “The Minority Report” will be introduced in January.

Mr. Wilmore, a well-regarded comedy performer and writer, has been a regular presence on Mr. Stewart’s “Daily Show” since 2006, usually commenting satirically on issues dealing with racial attitudes in America.

He has also been a successful writer for television, having created the widely praised series “The Bernie Mac Show” and written for other shows, such as “The Office” (where he also memorably played “Mr. Brown” in one of that comedy’s signature episodes), “In Living Color," "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” and “The Jamie Foxx Show.”

He has also been a successful writer for television, having created the widely praised series “The Bernie Mac Show.” He has written for other shows, such as “The Office” (where he also memorably played “Mr. Brown” in one of that comedy’s signature episodes), “In Living Color,” “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air” and “The Jamie Foxx Show.”

As an actor he has appeared in such movies as “Dinner for Schmucks” and TV shows including “Love Bites” and “Happy Endings.” He is also the author of the 2009 book, “I’d Rather We Got Casinos and Other Black Thoughts.”

Mr. Wilmore, who is 52, attended California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

The roster of correspondents and commentators for “The Minority Report with Larry Wilmore” will be named later.

With Mr. Colbert’s impending departure, along with the decision by Craig Ferguson to leave his CBS show, much attention has been focused on whether a woman or member of a minority group would be added to the competition in late-night comedy. Mr. Wilmore’s name was among several suggested for the Comedy Central opening.

Earlier this week, ABC ordered a new sitcom called “Black-ish,” and Mr. Wilmore was listed as an executive producer. He was expected to be the show runner on that series, a role he will have to give up to accept the starring position on “The Minority Report.”

What makes Taylor Swift 's friendship with Selena Gomez so special?
"It's been the longest one I think either of us had really," the "Red" singer told E! Shailene Woodley embraces weight loss & smaller boobs in Instyle June 2014: "No Bra, no problem!"

During promotions for “The Fault in Our Stars,” Shailene Woodley scored the cover of InStyle's June 2014 issue.

While striking a pose in a stunning floral dress for the Giampaolo Sgura-shot spread, the “Divergent” beauty opened up about losing weight to portray the ill teenager in her upcoming film and growing up with scoliosis.

On her weight loss:
"I look at pictures of me with long hair and I think, 'Who is that person?' Even my voice and the way I hold myself has changed. I'm in a place where I feel healthier than I've ever been, and my body is exactly where it wants to be. I feel like I'm a woman. My boobs shrank. No one tells you that when you lose weight. No bra, no problem!"

On her scoliosis:
“My friends and I named my brace Casey. I took it off to eat, to go on dates, and to shower. It was uncomfortable, but I thought, 'I can complain, or I can embrace it, literally, and move on.'"

On her role in “The Fault in Our Stars”:
"It changed my whole life and put things in perspective. I realized I was good at being outwardly positive because that's how I am by nature. But internally? I was so mean to myself. Realizing I needed to make a shift was a big moment for me. 'F**k you, insecurity. F**k you, lack of confidence!' When I finally realized I have to live life for myself and not for anyone else is when I started being more generous and kind and grateful, I was able to give back more."
