Gwyneth Paltrow Breaks Her Silence on Chris Martin Split: Thanks Fans for Support

Gwyneth Paltrow has broken her silence on her recent split with husband of ten years Chris Martin.

In a blog post on her Goop website relating to chicken recipes, the 41-year-old actress wrote a little note to her fans.

“P.S. CM and I in deep gratitude for the support of so many. ♥” Gwyneth wrote at the top of her site, before going into detail about taking one chicken and making it into three meals.

Earlier this week, Chris and Gwyneth announced their split on the Goop site after being married for 10 years.

Despite their separation, the couple and their children, Apple and Moses, were just on a trip to the Bahamas.

One Bird, Three Meals

Our moms were raised by depression-era ladies who used a single tea bag for two cups of tea and never met a leftover they didn’t eat. This issue of three delicious chicken recipes is in honor of our grandmothers, who taught us the good old-fashioned art of not wasting a scrap.

How did Hilary Duff spend yesterday? At the Ramirez Tran salon in Beverly Hills, going from dirty blond to platinum. Or as her colorist KC Carhart called it:"Icy blonde."

The former child star shared her new ‘do in a minimal makeup selfie on Thursday afternoon. Although we can't see exactly how short her crop is, it seems to hit around her collarbones.

The actress has been adjusting well to single life, spending most of her time with her adorable one-year-old son Luca. Despite announcing her separation from husband Mike Comrie early this year the duo have remained friendly. Even going on a family vacation together in Bahamas last month.

Sally Field Pens Heartfelt Letter About Gay Son Sam Greisman, Decries "License to Discriminate" Bill

Sally Field is showing her support for the Human Rights Campaign after "License to Discriminate" bills began appearing across the country. The organization aims to raise $150,000 by March 31 to fight back against these efforts and further additional non-discrimination initiatives in the next 90 days.

To get the word out, the 67-year-old Brothers & Sisters actress penned a heartfelt letter about her experiences as the mother of a homosexual son two heterosexual boys. "The three things I'm most proud of in my life are my sons, Peter, Eli and Sam," the Amazing Spider-Man 2 star writes. "They are kind, loving and productive people. Each with their own list of talents and accomplishments."

She continues, "Sam is my youngest son, by 18 years, and he's gay. To that, I say: So what?"

"Growing up, Sam wanted desperately to just be like his older brothers—athletic, rambunctious and even a little bit macho. He wanted to beat Eli at tennis, trounce Peter at computer football and learn everything about every basketball player on the court," Field recalls. "But Sam was different. And his journey to allow himself to be what nature intended him to be was not an easy one."

"When I saw him struggling, I wanted to jump in," the Lincoln actress admits."But his older brothers held me back. They told me I couldn't travel that road for Sam. It was his to travel, not mine. I had to wait for him to own himself in his own time. I could make it easier only by standing visibly to the side, clearly loving him, always being there and always letting him know.

"Finally, at 20, long after he beat his brothers at tennis and computer games and knew as much as anyone about basketball, Sam was able to stand up proudly and say, 'I am a gay man.'"

Field says she considers it "one of the great privileges of my life to have been allowed to be a part of Sam's journey." As such, she decided to get involved in the fight for LGBT equality by joining the HRC.

"Sam knows that if he ever marries, he'll have my full support. After all, I like to believe I raised him with the good sense to choose a great partner," Field writes. But there are people out there—organizations and politicians, strangers who have never even met Sam—who would rather devote themselves to denying his happiness. Why would anyone want to prevent my son—or anyone's son or daughter—from having basic legal safeguards like family medical leave, Social Security survivors benefits, or health insurance? It doesn't make any sense—but it won't change until people speak out. I'm proud to stand with HRC to add my voice," the movie star continues. "Will you join me?"

Field concludes her letter by writing,"Whether you are LGBT yourself, a parent or grandparent of an LGBT child, or just a great person with strong convictions about what's fair and right, I hope I've convinced you to stand with HRC for equality." According to the actress, "You'll be glad you did!"

You know, it’s a lot of the hand motions, but my personal favorite is when she’s like, ‘Here I stand’ with her foot or when she takes her hair down and she kind of struts, struts, struts before she says ‘the cold never bothered me anyway.’”- Katie Lowes

Taylor Momsen Discusses Her Naked Album Cover

In the new issue of Rolling Stone, Taylor Momsen talks about posing nude for the cover of Going to Hell, the new album from her band, the Pretty Reckless. "We're all naked when we're born," the former Gossip Girl star says. "If you find it shocking, that's your own perception."

Momsen goes on to draw an analogy to another famous naked album cover. "I don't think John Lennon was trying to shock people when he was naked on Two Virgins," she says. "He was just trying to be as honest and raw as he could, and that's what my intent is with nudity."
The singer says the cover image, where a goth-y cross and arrow symbol is painted on her back, was inspired by a classic rock poster. "That came from Pink Floyd," she says. "You know that photograph of the women sitting by a pool, nude, with all the record covers painted on their backs? That's one of my favorite posters, so I stole the idea."

"Then when we cropped it for the CD," Momsen adds with a laugh, "it turned into E.C. Was Here, by Eric Clapton."

Pick up the new issue to read our full interview with Momsen, where she talks about turning 21, growing up Catholic, dealing with aggressive fans, her love for Nirvana and more.

Suki Waterhouse walks around + Bradley Cooper "down in the dumps" over breakup

Suki Waterhouse shows off her bare midriff while making her way out of the Royal Haymarket Theatre with some friends on Tuesday (March 25) in the West End of London, England.

The 22-year-old English supermodel strolled out with a suitcase after attending the press night showing for play Fatal Attraction, which is based on the 1987 film by James Dearden.

PHOTOS: Check out the latest pics of Suki Waterhouse

Earlier this month, Suki was spotted with fellow British model Cara Delevingne leaving the Karl Lagerfeld store and fragrance launch party held at Harrods.

BRADLEY Cooper needs a cuddle.

The hunky Hollywood star is said to be down in the dumps following his recent split from girlfriend Suki Waterhouse.

“Bradley has been seriously down in the dumps these past couple of weeks,” a source said.

“He really thought Suki was ‘The One’. He’s devastated.”

However, maybe the split has something to do with Bradley’s foot fetish.

As previously reported, the actor dated Jennifer Lawrence‘s best friend Laura Simpson last year — and often ask Laura to text him pictures of her feet.

“He was always touching her feet,” a source said

“It was weird, so she broke it off.”

According to the source, the duo had “six real dates and were hooking up for about a month,” when Laura pulled the plug.

Victoria Beckham Gives Blessing For Spice Girls Reunion Without Her

0

Lauren Miliganfor Vogue writes:
Victoria Beckham has given her blessing for the Spice Girls to reform as a four-piece. Melanie Chisholm (Mel C to the rest of the world) said that the designer didn't expect the band to come to an end without her, as many would perhaps have thought.

"We've talked about it," she told the Daily Mail. "Victoria doesn't want to, which we completely understand. We are so proud of her and her incredible foray into fashion; it's incredible what she's achieved as a designer. The four of us could consider it maybe. We have Victoria's blessing to do that."

Beckham joined the band for a reunion tour in 2007 and 2008 but later said that she very quickly became aware during the performances that her girlband days were over.

"It should have been the best moment of my life, but I just wanted to be elsewhere," she told French Vogue last year. "It wasn't a lack of respect for the girls or the audience, but the passion just wasn't there. By contrast, in my new career, the passion grows every year. I still want more."

Beckham is preparing to open her brand's first store, in London, later this year - and recently opened her first office in London.

Would you want to see the Spice Girls as a four-piece (again)?

Taylor Swift attends concert with Lena Dunham and Douglas Booth

Taylor Swift spent Thursday night at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg watching a performance by Bleachers, the new side project of Jack Antonoff (Fun.)

Swift watched from the balcony with friends including Lena Dunham (Antonoff's girlfriend) and Douglas Booth. Dunham recently described Swift as "a good friend of mine. I call and text her all the time. She helps me be strong and make better decisions. She has amazing creative instincts."

Swift and Booth, who left the show together, were romantically linked in late 2013 but have insisted they are just friends.

Antonoff and Swift collaborated on the song 'Sweeter Than Fiction.' Antonoff later asked Swift and Hayley Williams to give him feedback on Bleachers' music.

"I sent Taylor and Hayley the song a couple weeks ago, and was like 'What do you think of the mix?'" Antonoff said. "I want to hear it through other people's ears. Something as broad as song structure or picking a single, or as small as 'Does this master have too much low end?' I want honest opinions from my friends and people I respect."

Latinas Demand SNL Hire Latina Actresses and Writers After Offensive Sketch

0
0

Latina women have issued a call to “Saturday Night Live” creator Lorne Michaels to hire Latina writers and actresses after a particularly offensive sketch featuring Cecily Strong aired March 8. They started the Twitter hashtag #StillNoLatinas, a play on the show’s initials.

Critics say the hiring of actress Sasheer Zamata and writers Leslie Jones and LaKendra Tookes, which came after months of condemnation regarding the show’s lack of a black female castmember, wasn’t enough to fix the show’s diversity problems.
There’s been one Latina castmember in its 38-season history, (Noël Wells is described as “a quarter Hispanic” on her IMDB page) despite the fact that Latinos have been the biggest minority in the U.S. since 2003. ’SNL’ alumni Fred Armisen and Horatio Sanz were both Latino.

They found all sorts of problems with the sketch that sparked the protest: it paraded a litany of stereotypes, and Strong, the actress who played Marisol, is not Latina.

Jenni Ruiza and Jesenia of The Comedy Girls made “Latino Stereotypes for DUMMIES” and included an entreaty to Michaels: Hire us!

“Ebony and ivory are the only two races on “Saturday Night Live” on NBC. How about putting Latinas on your show, Lorne Michaels, please,” they sang.

But perhaps the most glaring issue in the sketch was the other characters’ condescension toward Marisol, who wasn’t just loud and spoke in a thick Venezuelan accent, but a ditz to boot.

Marisol is the mail-order girlfriend — ”He was so persistent, and so I yet him bring me to USA!” — of Bruce, a men’s rights activist, and completely clueless about what that means.

“Marisol, do you know what Planned Parenthood is?” Lena Dunham’s characters asks. Dunham, creator of HBO’s “Girls,” was the host that week.

“Jes!” Marisol responds in heavily accented English. “What is it?”

Presumably, the sketch’s redemption lies in the fact that Marisol sees the light, and decides to dump Bruce for a “macho guy” after Dunham tells her Bruce and his men’s rights group have shut down an organization that “helps women.” They purposely neglect to inform Marisol, with a wink to the audience, that Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest provider of abortion services, based on the assumption that Marisol would then side with Bruce.

What results echoes the narrative that feminism is the dominion of white American women that needs to be explained and gifted to women of other cultures, an attitude that can be traced back to the 1963 publication of “The Feminine Mystique.” Freidan’s 1963 bestselling polemic is credited with kickstarting the first wave of American feminism, though it excluded many working class women and women of color. “Mystique” was aimed at middle and upper class white women suffering through the quiet desperation of suburban housewifery, much like “Mad Men” character Betty Draper.

But there is a strong history of feminism in Latina culture, chronicled by writers such as Cherríe Moraga, Gloria E. Anzaldúa, and Ana Castillo and activists like Dolores Huerta (Rosario Dawson plays Huerta in the new biopic, “Cesar Chavez,” which opens Friday). Just as many black women who felt alienated by the mainstream feminist movement turned instead to womanism, a term coined by writer Alice Walker, Chicana feminism, or Xicanisma, refers to the intersecting issues that affect Latinas.

But activists aren’t just protesting a thick accent: Dominant stereotypes that Latinas are fiery Jezebels looking for “macho men” can overshadow real problems that Latina women face. A recent PBS Frontline documentary, “Rape in the Fields,” highlighted a crisis among poor Latina migrant women who are raped, and then forced to keep quiet about it if they want to keep working. When you cast women as constantly sexually available, the underlying implication is that they can’t be raped.

Still, for some entertainers playing on stereotypes can pay off: Emmy-nominated actress Sofia Vergara was the highest-paid primetime television actress for two straight years. In 2013, she actually made more, thanks to outside endorsements, than TV’s highest-paid actor, Ashton Kutcher. She’s been criticized for her outsize portrayal of her “Modern Family” character, Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, a Colombian immigrant who’s roughly the same age as her stepdaughter, Claire.

“I don’t know why people think stereotypes are so terrible,” Vergara told The Wrap. “I am Gloria, my mother is Gloria, my aunts are Gloria. I mean, it’s not like I’m putting on a fake bra with big prosthetics, you know. It might be a stereotype, but I think the character is fantastic. She’s colorful, she’s honest, she’s out there, she cares about people. She’s loud, but I am loud. She’s crazy, but I am crazy. It’s not a problem.”

Sam Page proves he knows how to fill out a suit with his latest role on House of Cards

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

“One thing I know about this world is that when somebody is running…if they seem hurried…they’re losing control. If someone glides in and tell you what leverage they have over you, smiles and walks off…that’s a very dangerous person,” said House of Cards writer and producer, Beau Willimon to series newbie Sam Page, during an early conversation about the actor’s character, Connor Ellis. And, as his performance in season two demonstrates, Page took Willimon’s advice and ran with it.

As Ellis, the slick media consultant turned Communications Director, perched in second lady, Claire Underwood’s (Robin Wright) corner, Page amps up the smarmy D.C. shark vibe, and dials back the prep school charm permeating roles past, including his Greg Harris character on Mad Men — fiancé and husband to Christina Hendricks’s Joan, and also delightfully apparent in guest heartbreaker stints on Gossip Girl and Desperate House Wives. Really, such polished charm is only to be expected of a Princeton Man such as Page — he earned his B.A. degree in ecology and evolutionary biology before moving to New York to pursue a career in acting.

A gushing fan of season one, Page shares his excitement to join the cast of Netflix’s most critically successful binge watching experiment. “It’s just a brilliant show…from the first page of the first script on,” says the actor. Coming in during the second season of such a popular show, one would think Page might have been a bit nervous with the heavy weight of audience expectations on his shoulders, but as he shares, any nerves he might have suffered from were quelled by his regard for the series’ creators. “I knew that the writing was so good that I just needed to trust the writing.”

What Page also trusted was that he was going to be a part of entertainment history. “The entire future of television changed in that moment,” declares Page, as he recalls being on the House of Cards set in Baltimore when the 2013 Emmy nominations were announced. Nominated in nine categories, with David Fincher going on to win the coveted Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series award, the nod from the Emmy academy signified that House of Cards — an original online-only web series — was in fact, “television.” A point resoundingly reaffirmed at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards, where the series earned multiple nominations including Best Television Series Drama and Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series Drama for Kevin Spacey’s turn as the duplicitous Francis J. “Frank” Underwood, while Spacey’s onscreen wife, Robin Wright, took home the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series Drama.

“It was the beginning of what we are going to see for years to come,” says Page of the nominations and awards. “Netflix took a huge risk financially, but what that bought them was…well, they cornered the market. Everybody is in their rearview mirror at this point.”

Risk taking is something Page too prides himself on professionally. Translation: no typecasting for this one. “You always want to be as diverse as possible,” affirms Page. With season two of House of Cards streaming now, and having recently wrapped a guest spot on the primetime comedy, The Mindy Project, it would appear Page is doing well at mixing things up. The only thing missing from his reel, according to the actor, is an action blockbuster. He says laughing, “The ironic part of what my career has been is that I’ve gotten to do all these highly intellectual shows like Mad Men and House of Cards, but all I really want is to run around with a gun, scream, yell, and do stunts.”

Well, if he can do it in a suit, we’ll happily wait in line to see that movie. Still rushing on the glow from the premiere of House of Cards season two, we caught up with Page to talk about his role on the Netflix series, the creative mavericks at the helm of the production and an actor’s never ending endeavour to perfect their craft.

A LITTLE TIME HAS PASSED SINCE THE PREMIERE OF SEASON TWO OF HOUSE OF CARDS LAST MONTH, BUT THERE’S STILL TONS OF BUZZ IN THE AIR. IT MUST FEEL GREAT TO BE A PART OF SUCH A POPULAR SHOW.
It’s really cool. When I went out for the show in the first season, I knew at that point that it was a very special situation: it was going to be streaming on Netflix, it was original programming, but it was also the first time that it was going to be on that kind of level with [David] Fincher, Beau [Willimon] and Kevin [Spacey]. So I was really excited to get in on the second season. I was a huge fan of the first season.

THE ANTICIPATION FOR SEASON TWO WAS SO HUGE IT’S IMPRESSIVE.
Yeah, the amount of intrigue that surrounds the show, and certainly when it’s released, people are so interested.

NETFLIX HAS REALLY CHANGED THE WHOLE LANDSCAPE OF MOVIE AND TELEVISION PRODUCTION, AS WELL AS CONSUMPTION. WHAT DO YOU MAKE OF THE ONLINE ORIGINAL SERIES PHENOMENON?
That was on the coolest parts of my experience on House of Cards. The night before the Emmy nominations were announced, there was a major league baseball all-star game (we were shooting in Baltimore ) and I went to a restaurant with Michael Kelly, who plays Doug Stamper and Beau Willimon, and we watched the all-star game, and then at the end of the night, we were all going out separate ways, and we started saying, “hey, so the Emmys are tomorrow…” And then [the show] ended up getting nominations in a lot of categories, but I didn’t realize until later when I started thinking about it, that tomorrow is very possibly the dawning of a new era in television — it’s a new day in entertainment. Is the Emmy academy going to consider this television or not? Because we didn’t know…nobody knew.

THAT WAS SUCH AN INTERESTING MOMENT IN TELEVISION HISTORY. WITH HOUSE OF CARDS HAVING SUCH A DEVOTED FAN BASE, WERE YOU NERVOUS AT ALL ABOUT JOINING THE CAST FOR SEASON TWO?
Yes and no…having had the experience of working on Mad Men. When I joined [that show], it was in its second season, and had gotten its initial accolades and nominations — it had won best show at the Golden Globes and the Emmys. And I had never been on a show like that before, but my experience with that was when you have such good writing and such a strong vision and such good leadership, with the writers, directors, executive producers — and in the case of Mad Men, it’s Matt Weiner and in the case of House of Cards it’s Kevin, Beau and Fincher — you really are so well taken care of, the writing does so much of the actors work when it’s that good.

IT’S MOST CERTAINLY A STRONG TEAM HEADING UP HOUSE OF CARDS. I CAN SEE WHY YOU WOULDN’T BE NERVOUS, DESPITE THE PRESSURE FROM THE SHOW’S DIEHARD FAN BASE.
Yeah, I wasn’t as nervous having worked on Mad Men and having been in that kind of environment before. And the actors on the show are just…they’re so good, but they also make everyone else’s job easy. They’re very welcoming and very generous actors. And they’re constantly working, even when their scenes are done and they’re your coverage, they work just as hard.

YOUR CHARACTER WORKS CLOSELY WITH ROBIN WRIGHT’S CHARACTER CLAIRE, HOW WAS IT ACTING OPPOSITE HER? SHE’S SUCH A VERSATILE ACTRESS.
She’s just constantly, constantly — every single take — working for a better take, while making it look like she’s not working at all. She’s obviously gorgeous, but so posed and professional. She’s exactly what you think and hope she will be…more so actually.

WHEN YOU’RE ON A SET WITH VETERAN ACTORS LIKE WRIGHT AND KEVIN SPACEY, DO YOU FIND YOURSELF STUDYING THEM AT ALL, WATCHING THEIR PERFORMANCES A LITTLE MORE INTENSELY?
Absolutely, that’s one of the most important aspects of these opportunities, to learn and improve. One of the great parts of being an actor is that from the first day you set out on the endeavor, to the last day before you retire, you always should be looking to improve. And when you’re working with legitimate A-list movie stars, there’s a ton to learn. And to see Robin and Kevin work…it’s just magic, you’re seeing the best there is; they do their job and enjoy each other while they’re doing it. It was a unique experience.

WOULD YOU AGREE WITH CRITICS THAT HAVE SAID SEASON TWO IS QUITE A BIT DARKER THAN SEASON ONE?
Definitely it was darker, I think…what, in the first episode [of the series] Frank killed a dog, and he killed a reporter in the second season premiere? So yeah, it did get very dark quickly. In the second season, it’s a much bigger ascension [for Frank] and so they had to go much darker — there’s more at risk. The higher you climb, the farther you have to fall and the less likely you are to survive it.

DO YOU THINK FRANK AND CLAIRE KNOW THAT?
If there’s anything that Frank Underwood and Claire understand, it’s the stakes — at all times, they know what is at stake. And the stakes are up in the second season, absolutely. It had to get darker; I imagine it will keep getting darker.

WITH FRANK LEADING THE PLOT, IT SEEM IMPOSSIBLE FOR IT NOT TO.
He’s a morally compromised person, and if you want him to succeed — and I certainly do — that’s a huge accomplishment for the show…to have the audience to cheer for the bad guy.

THAT DUALITY REMINDS ME A BIT OF YOUR CHARACTER. CONNOR IS QUITE SMARMY, BUT THE AUDIENCE CAN STILL PERCEIVE HIM AS CHARMING AND SOMEONE THEY EMPATHIZE WITH SLIGHTLY. WAS IT DIFFICULT FINDING THAT BALANCE WHEN PLAYING HIM?
No…you have to remember how unaware the character is. I think there is a line of professionalism, that as things get ramped up a little bit, and you get antagonized… you get more professional and dig deeper into your box of tools. Those types are always calm, cool and collected, and people respect them for that.

WHAT DO YOU THINK MOTIVATES HIM, IS HE POWER HUNGRY OR IS HE JUST AN A-TYPE THAT WANTS TO SUCCEED AT EVERYTHING?
If he were power hungry, he would have dug his heels in a little more and not let himself be jockeyed out. He got played, but he certainly didn’t lose. I think he rolled with upward mobility in mind, but I don’t think it was a power move.

HOW WAS IT HANGING OUT IN BALTIMORE WHILE THE SHOW WAS BEING SHOT?
I have some family in D.C., so it was good to get down to D.C. It’s funny, my cousin is a senate staffer…

WHAT?! REALLY?
Yeah (laughing), so I would go down there an hangout with him and his friends and they would all say, “Wow, [besides] the way things work and the way people talk on the show, that’s so spot on, but the set-dressing is unbelievable — they got it perfectly right.” There’s a trophy on Frank Underwood’s desk, and he was like, “my boss actually has that award.” So the show has an eye for details.

THE WHOLE SET UP DOES FEELS SO REAL. DID YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE PLACE TO HANGOUT DURING DAYS OFF WHILE ON LOCATION?
I got to go to Camden Yards a few times, and I’m a huge baseball fan. It’s one of the most beautiful ballparks in the league.

YOU’RE ALREADY ON TO SOME NEW PROJECTS I HEAR, SINCE THE LAUNCH OF THE NEW SEASON OF HOUSE OF CARDS. DIDN’T YOU JUST DO A GUEST SPOT ON THE MINDY PROJECT?
Yeah, I did. It was so much fun! I love seeing two actors kind of running a set.

WHAT WAS YOUR CHARACTER LIKE?
I play a guy that Mindy sees on the subway and gets into kind of a correspondence with…I guess that’s all I can say. And, that as is typical with a lot of the roles I play, nothing is quite as it seems.

INTRIGUING. WILL WE SEE YOU ON THE NEW SEASON OF THE SHOW?
They haven’t said there is a plan to, but it could be a very funny character to bring back; a funny character for anyone on the show to run into again.

DO YOU LIKE COMEDY?
I love it and would love to do more of it. Based on the rehearsals and some of the takes, I got a lot of laughs…from the crew anyway (laughing). A lot of comedians say that what’s great about doing comedy, you know whether it’s working or not…with drama, you never really know until you see the final cut.

DO YOU HAVE A PREFERENCE BETWEEN COMEDY AND DRAMA?
It’s good to keep a balance. Part of what I love about the last five or six years is that I’ve done a lot of barnstorming, as far as guest-starring, and getting these great guest star arcs on these great shows. What I love about that is getting the chance to meet so many different actors and work with so many different crews and directors.

IT SEEMS LIKE NO MATTER WHAT ROLE YOU PLAY, FROM YOUR CHARACTER ON GOSSIP GIRL TO HOUSE OF CARDS, YOU’RE ALWAYS DRESSED QUITE STYLISHLY. ARE YOU A FAN OF FASHION YOURSELF?
I guess I’ve become one. I’ve had the good fortune of working on shows that have great wardrobe designers. It’s fun when you’re trying on really nice, perfectly tailored clothes; it forms the character your playing. On House of Cards, the suits are tailored absolutely perfectly. And at my first fitting, they kept saying, “Fincher likes this, and Fincher likes to make sure that this is done and Fincher likes it so that there’s just enough so your top is showing…” and what I really love more than anything else about that kind of situation is that people have a very clear and focused idea of what they want. Fincher has a very clear and focused vision.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE, ARE YOU MORE A T-SHIRT AND JEANS GUY OR DO YOU HAVE A SOFT SPOT FOR THOSE TAILORED SUITS YOU WERE JUST TALKING ABOUT?
Oh yeah, T-shirt, jeans…those are the two, I love T-shirts and jeans…and sneakers. But having a couple of really nice suits is good. I think wherever you get it, put some money into the tailoring and it will look like a million bucks.

I SEE YOU DID A J.CREW CAMPAIGN A WHILE BACK, ANY MORE FASHION CAMPAIGNS IN YOUR FUTURE?
(Laughing.) That was a lot of fun. We had a lot of fun on the shoot. The clothes are great. I was just in there the other day. I have one of their suits at home and I would put that up against any of the high-end, big fashion houses’ suits that I’ve worn.

YEAH, THEY’RE GREAT.
Right? Really.

Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys are rumoured to have gotten very close on the set of their series The Americans. The stars appeared to be on a date as they took in the play Library at The Public Theatre in New York on Thursday night. Keri, 38, who announced her split from husband Shane Deary in December, appeared to be enjoying Matthew's company very much as she chatted with Rhys, 39, in front of the theater entrance.

The Welsh actor was leaning in closer to Keri just as their picture was being taken. Keri's face broke into a little smile as she was caught on a night out with her co-star. 'They looked very close, like a couple on a date together,' an eyewitness revealed. The petite actress was leaning against a column and dressed casually in jeans, a black leather jacket and rugged boots.

Matthew mirrored that understated look in cuffed jeans, a red plaid shirt and black padded jacket, along with high-top trainers. 'It was very obvious they weren't just there as two people who work together,' the eyewitness continued. 'They were whispering in each others ear and at one point Keri was stroking and playing with Matthew's hair very affectionately.' The source further added: 'They were sitting next to each other in the theatre and she was stroking his head at one point.

'It was clearly a date and they were being quite open about that. After the show they hung out in the lobby with some friends then left together.' Matthew recently told People magazine that his own mother has believed the rumours flying around that he and his pretty co-star are dating. 'She calls up going, "What's going on? I just read this about you,"' he told the magazine. 'I tell her, "You have to take off your Google alerts."'

Set during the cold war in the 1980s, The Americans is currently in its second season on FX. Keri and Matthew play Soviet spies Elizabeth and Phillip Jennings who, after being brought together by an arranged marriage, live double lives raising two children in suburban Reagan-era Washington, DC while spying on the American government.

Keri's publicist announced the actress had separated from her husband Shane Deary on December 5 after six years of marriage. 'They have been separated since early summer,' the rep told People. 'The separation is amicable and their focus is on their children.' The couple are parents to son River, six, and daughter Willa, two.
