Snooki -- I'm Pregnant ... AGAIN!

0
0

Snooki is plumping up again ... but not 'cause she's eating too much -- the "Jersey Shore" store is having another baby!

Snooks is reportedly a few months pregnant but is keeping things under wraps so it doesn't torpedo some lucrative appearances she has lined up -- according to Page Six.

Sources close to the couple told TMZ a similar story this week ... but we got radio silence from her camp.

Great timing ... Snooki just penned a book called "Baby Bumps" about her first pregnancy in 2012.

Aww, I'm excited for her. She's planning a wedding and pregnant at the same time as Jwoww.

Lifetime’s violence, murder, incest: Is this what women really want to watch?

0
0

WOMEN’S NETWORK GOES TO THE DARK SIDE
With characters like the murderous Lizzie Borden, a family tale of incest in Flowers in the Attic and now the new Facebook murder-mystery Status: Unknown, Lifetime is taking women’s programming to the edge — but is it paying off?

In July 2013, Lifetime Television posted these incredible stats about their increase in ratings on their parent network's website, A&ENetworks.com: “Network posts +10% Jump among Total Viewers and Adults 25-54, +9% Growth with Women 25-54; and +3% in Adults 18-49.”
Clearly, their market share is growing fast.

So how is the women-focused network able keep expanding viewership? We spoke with Vanessa Parise, director of the upcoming original Lifetime movie Status: Unknown, to find out why violent and taboo stories are so popular with women.

"I’d say we all, not just women, are excited by these types of stories, partly for the sheer entertainment value. These stories inherently have flawed characters, intense energy, deep conflict and high stakes — all necessary ingredients for a great film," said Parise.
But in Lizzie Borden Took an Ax, Lizzie (Christina Ricci) gruesomely chopped up her parents — something you wouldn't think would be relatable for modern women.

"Perhaps women particularly relate because most of us can recall some moment in our lives when we felt like we were in danger, sexual or otherwise. It’s that 'what could have happened' thing. Even the network TV shows are now much more edgy and dark, perhaps for the same reasons," she said.

"Status: Unknown is a fresh, contemporary story that looks at the use — or overuse — of social media in our lives. The main character, Jessica (Stacey Oristano), has stayed connected to her high school friend Karen (Stephanie Honore) through a Facebook-like portal. Apparently, Jessica discovers discrepancies on Karen’s status page that lead her to have suspicions about her friend’s welfare.

"The deeper she digs, the more she obsesses, and on Facebook, the levels are infinite," said Parise, adding, "Jessica is forced to detach herself from her online existence, where she has grown comfortable hiding from the world." Facebook addicts, beware this cautionary tale!
Vanessa Parise is currently prepping to direct another thriller for Lifetime called The Lighthouse.

Status: Unknown premieres tonight, 8 EST/7 CST

Game of Thrones' Bran Stark and Hodor take Toronto

0
0

Hempstead Wright plays the crippled Bran Stark in the hit HBO fantasy series and Nairn is his hulking, seven-foot-tall bodyguard who has the unenviable acting job of schlepping the boy around. Except he’s not so much a child anymore.
Hempstead Wright was turning 11 when he first started the show (Season 4 debuts April 6 at 9 p.m. on HBO Canada). He will be 15 this April.

“There are all sorts of lawyers involved in this,” jokes Nairn about receiving workmen’s compensation for constantly piggybacking the teen actor. “The last season just about killed me.”

Hempstead Wright says producers have tried to get around the issue by providing the growing Bran with a cart.

“Yes, but it’s still a Hodor-driven cart,” says Nairn, referring to his character.

“On your knees!” laughs Hempstead Wright.

“Yeah, I’m just your little pet pony,” mutters Nairn.

The two actors were in Toronto to promote the Season 3 DVD boxed set, released Feb. 18. Later that day, the duo were the special guests at a hot ticket, invite-only party at a former downtown Toronto church decorated to look like the infamous Red Wedding scene, where many key Game of Thrones characters were killed off (spoiler alert!).

At the event, there was even a life-size replica of the Iron Throne. Hempstead Wright sat in it with a grin, wearing a plastic crown provided for the occasion.

“You’re looking awfully comfortable,” said his mother from the sidelines.

This was Hempstead Wright’s first visit to Toronto and his mum had come to make it a bit of a vacation, including seeing Niagara Falls and taking in a basketball game.

Nairn was most recently in Toronto six months earlier working a gig for his main job as a well-known U.K. DJ.

In person, Nairn seems even larger than onscreen, if that’s possible. His young colleague, the unfailingly polite Hempstead Wright, meanwhile, gives analytical, thoughtful answers belying his years.
“Bran isn’t the most glamorous character in the sense that he is handicapped. He doesn’t have a sword or goes into battle. But he’s a complex character because he is someone who has lost everything, his legs, his family and he is trying to regain his sense of self,” says Hempstead Wright.

Bran Stark lost more family in the Red Wedding, which has been recreated in over-the-top fashion this night in Toronto, complete with minstrels and a sword fight.

“The Red Wedding was tough to watch because you’ve been with these people for three or four years,” says Hempstead Wright. “To see them slaughtered like that was devastating, even though you already know what’s happening.”

The scene was so grisly that Nairn says he didn’t watch the whole thing till months later.

“It was just so sad to see stuff like that happen to your friends. Obviously they are characters, but it means we aren’t going to be acting with them anymore. It’s very sad,” he says in the thick Irish brogue that viewers never get to hear. That’s mostly because Hodor can only say one word and that’s “Hodor.”

Despite the limited vocabulary, the gentle giant is perhaps the most beloved Game of Thrones character.

“The Internet loves a good meme and Hodor is the god of memes because you can make him be anything, or read what you want into him,” laughs Nairn. “Also, he’s a nice guy. There are nice guys on other shows, but on this show there is just about nobody else that is so completely utterly nice. Unlike everyone else on the show he has no agenda whatsoever. And that makes him stand out in a world that’s evil.”

Nairn’s rehearsal to get the coveted part of Hodor wasn’t that extensive, he admits. He videotaped himself picking up and throwing around pieces of mahogany furniture.

“The producer just wanted to see if I could lift stuff.”

There is a lot more heavy lifting in Season 4 for both actors.

The two get much more in the thick of the action, says Hempstead Wright.

“In seasons 1 and 2 I’m pretty much stationary because of my legs,” he says. (Bran had a fall, which crippled him in Season 1). “In Season 4 we see him really arrive at where he has to be and action-wise things really move along.”

Of course, there is the reality that more characters and friends will be killed off. The two agree it is perhaps the most difficult thing to deal with on a set where bonds are made.

“The loss is hard, but we also gain characters, so it keeps the show fresh,” says Hempstead Wright. “We keep changing stock. Like a bowl of fruit, we just change the grapes. But it’s tough when you’re attached to those grapes.”

GOT costume designer talks Margaery Tyrell's wedding dress

0
0

Costume Designer Michele Clapton recently spoke with Vanity Fair about the glamorous fashion of Westeros. In this new interview Clapton explains that her experience in modern design has helped in creating the many intricate looks for Game of Thrones. Clapton also goes into detail about one of the most anticipated costumes for Season 4, Margaery’s wedding gown, and recounts that one dress in Season 2 that raised a few eyebrows.

On where she looks for inspiration and how she approaches the many families of Westeros: “I look at contemporary fashion and art, it’s a two way street. I sometimes see each city as [a] collection. I used to work in fashion many years ago. I’m glad I don’t now, but it is, of course, an influence still.”

On Margaery’s Season 4 wedding gown: “I’m pretty pleased with Margaery’s dress . . . it took weeks . . . months even, with all the roses and embroidery, and the bias cut was hard to achieve with the cutaway elements that are essential for her style . . . I wanted it to be pretty, but on closer inspection, strong and to tell the story of her ambition . . . the crowns particularly tell this.”

On that very memorable dress we met Margaery in at the beginning of Season 2: “Margaery’s funnel dress was obviously an homage to the wonderful Alexander McQueen’s costume for Bjork. It just felt right that this young ambitious girl would be experimenting with shapes, honing her style skills which we now see her employing to great effect. It was a risk and divided the audience.”

On seeing her influence on the runway: “Of course it was flattering to be referenced, but that’s what fashion does, and then it moves on. I did try to borrow a dress for the Emmys from the designers mentioned, but they said no. Thanks a lot!”

SOURCE

What do you think of Margaery's wedding dress? Personally I think that the entire look is TACKY AS FUCK which is PERFECT for the Tyrells because they're tacky wannabe Lannisters.

Whose costumes do you like the best on the show? Dany and Cersei's dresses imo>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

There’s a Very Good Reason Why Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” Video Is Set in Ancient Egypt

0
0

At first glance, Katy Perry’s latest music video, the Egypt-themed fantasy “Dark Horse,” seems to bear little resemblance to actual Egyptian history — but you might want to look twice. The clip’s director says there’s good reason for the Egyptian references, and prominent Egyptologists say that reason is good enough for them.

“[Perry] said that there’s actually a place in Egypt called Memphis, and she thought it was so interesting that Juicy J is from Memphis, Tenn.,” explains director Mathew Cullen. “She basically came to me and said, ‘I want to do something Egyptian and I want to combine it with Memphis hip-hop.’ That’s music to my ears — when an artist has a couple concepts that they want to mash up to create something fresh.”

Cullen says that while there was no on-site Egyptologist involved in the Los Angeles video shoot, they researched the period online to better “respect the symbolism” while having fun. Though Perry has been criticized for appropriating the symbols and images of other cultures — and has been under attack for “Dark Horse” for the same reasons — Cullen says he believes that while it’s dangerous to rip things directly from modern cultures without adding anything to them, ancient Egypt is part of what he calls our “shared collective mythology.”

“We’re only here because we build on the stories of every human being since the beginning of mankind,” he says. “The most important thing is that when you create something, and this is actually something Katy and I worked to do — you bring a new spin to it.”

And as it so happens, Perry and Cullen (who also directed the “California Gurls” video) did a pretty good job building on those stories.

Full disclosure: when I called up some Egyptologists to ask them about Katy Perry, I was fully expecting them to trash the video. The inaccuracies in her similarly-themed performance of the song at the Brits have already been pointed out, and fans who are sticklers for history were turned off the video. But the reality was very different.

“I find this really very wonderful, but I’m willing to bend my formal standards,” says Robert K. Ritner, Professor of Egyptology at the University of Chicago. “Whoever put this together actually knew something about the myth of Cleopatra. There are a number of features in here that I could use in class.”

Here are some of those points that get a hearty thumbs up, courtesy of Ritner and David P. Silverman, Professor of Egyptology at the University of Pennsylvania and Curator of Penn Museum’s Egyptian Section:

  1. The turquoise color seen in Perry’s make-up was used in Ancient Egypt; they often used colors inspired by nature, like the sky and water. Sealed tombs preserved the colors of their paintings, so historians can still tell what things would have looked like at the time.

  2. Queens like Cleopatra really did have significant power — and, though it didn’t include the lightning-bolt-style magic that’s seen in the video, there was a belief in divine royalty.

  3. The lyric about Aphrodite and Perry’s Greek-style dress have been called out by picky fans, but actually, they make perfect sense: Cleopatra wasn’t properly Egyptian; rather, she was descended from a Macedonian-Greek line, and her culture mixed Hellenic and Egyptian elements. In fact, Aphrodite is the analog to the Egyptian goddess Isis, who is represented by Perry’s winged ascent in the video.

  4. The “walk like an Egyptian” pose does have a reference point in ancient paintings. The artists didn’t use foreshortening, so the iconic pose was a Cubist-like attempt to portray three-dimensional people by showing them from different angles. It was not, however, a dance.

  5. The paintings on the wall behind Perry when she’s on the throne are clearly based on real tomb paintings.

  6. The scene with Perry and the snakes suggests a reference to Cleopatra’s suicide via asps. At the time of her death, Cleopatra was dressed as Isis, which also loops back to Perry growing wings in the video.

  7. The fan/monocle object Perry holds up shows the symbol of the Eye of Horus, a symbol of health and stability. (It has nothing to do with the Illuminati: “The many discussions of the Illuminati are nonsense,” says Ritner. Rather, the masonic imagery associated with the Illuminati is drawn from Egyptian imagery.)

  8. The cat references and the scene with Boo the dog may reference Roman anti-Cleopatra propaganda, which implied that she made Marc Antony her lap dog.

  9. Cullen and Perry even succeeded without trying: though Cullen says this wasn’t on purpose, Ritner sees a link between Perry getting a diamond grill to a myth that Cleopatra once dissolved a giant pearl in wine to demonstrate her wealth.

And even the parts that aren’t accurate at all — the Twinkies, for example — aren’t problematic. If Katy Perry fans do a little research about Ancient Egypt, they’ll follow a long line of people whose interest was sparked by Egypt-inspired pop-culture — from Boris Karloff’s mummy to Brendan Fraser’s, and from Betty Boop’s Cleopatra to Elizabeth Taylor’s.

“[Egypt has] always been a part of popular culture,” says Silverman. “It encourages people to think of these things, and some of those people actually begin to learn a lot.”

Punters flock to bet on Louis Tomlinson injury in Doncaster Rovers game

Punters have been betting on Doncaster boy band sensation Louis Tomlinson to get injured during his Doncaster Rovers debut next week.

The Bessacarr One Direction star is due to pull on the red and white hoops in a reserve game against Rotherham United at the Keepmoat Stadium on Wednesday night.

But punters have been flocking to pile money on the star leaving the pitch injured - with some bookies offering odds as generous as 40-1 in the match ending in disaster for the singer.

It comes after the star was forced to cancel his appearance in an earlier Rovers’ reserve fixture against Scunthorpe United after he was injured in a tackle by Aston Villa ace Gabriel Agbonlahor at a charity game in Celtic last autumn.

The boy band hunk was forced to hobble off the pitch following the challenge and ended up vomiting in the full glare of the cameras.

Bookmakers are offering a string of bets for the game which will kick off at 7pm

He is 16-1 to score first and 9-2 to score during the game.

Other offers include 3-1 he will remove his shirt after scoring a goal, 16-1 on him bagging a hat-trick, 66-1 on getting sent off and 12-1 to score an own goal.

More obscure bets included being sick on the pitch (75-1), Simon Cowell presenting him with the man of the match award (10-1), playing in a Premier League game before the end of 2015 at 1000-1 and 5000-1 on playing in the 2018 World Cup.

The Sacrament’ Unveils a New Red-Band Trailer and Poster Meant to Recruit You Into the Flock

0
0

In recent years dramatic features like Martha Marcy May Marlene and Kill List, and even documentaries like The Source Family, have seemed to have started a movement that has brought the subject of cult to the forefront of movie thrillers. Perhaps the zombie craze and the vampire craze are finally over, and the next big thing is going to be films of all sorts that tap into the fringe groups of the late 60s and early 70s for inspiration. If we get a misguided movie aimed at tweens where a bookish young girl comes out of her shell after starting an unlikely romance with her school’s dreamy Charles Manson-type, we’ll know we’ve stumbled into a full-on trend.

Before the movement can reach its mainstream peak, however, we’ve probably still got some room for a couple more artistically-driven filmmakers to make a couple more legitimately creepy movies about cults, and to that end modern horror master Ti West (The House of the Devil, The Innkeepers) is getting ready to release his next feature, The Sacrament.

It’s a found-footage affair about a group of documentarians visiting a cult called Eden Parish, and getting more than they bargained for. Click through to get a glimpse of the carnage, but be warned, the red-band before this trailer only seems to be there because of a little bit of blood and destruction, so don’t expect anything too gruesome to be given away.

For fans of indie horror, yes, the actors appearing here are AJ Bowen, Amy Seimetz, and Joe Swanberg, who all worked together on You’re Next and in different combinations on a number of other things you probably know. And for the eagle-eyed, yes, the guy who’s playing the cult leader here is also the same guy who played the elderly gas station owner so memorably in No Country For Old Men. His name is Gene Jones, and it seems like he’s something of a badass.

It’s true that found footage horror isn’t really the most beloved genre for most film fans, but it would seem like this one will be separated above the rabble a bit by strong acting, and from the tone this trailer takes, one can assume that the film will also benefit by sticking to the slow-burn style of storytelling that has made West’s other films not only feel like throwbacks to the golden age of horror, but that has also just made them really effective movies. Making audiences squirm is more about building their anticipation that they’re going to see something horrific than it is about actually showing them something horrific. Every new movie that comes along that gets that always ends up feeling like a breath of fresh air.

The Sacrament is set to get a VOD release on May 1 and then start appearing in theaters on June 6. Here’s a new poster that’s been made to promote the film, if you happen to be a poster person.

Garcelle Beauvais Wants Beyonce to be Sexy Without Showing Everything

Actress Garcelle Beauvais thinks Beyonce can be sexy without “everything showing out grinding.”
In a recent interview published on the Hello Beautiful blog, the actress, best known for her roles on “The Jamie Foxx Show” and ”Family Matters,” shared her opinion on what it is like to be a sex symbol in Hollywood.
“For me, you’re obviously flattered when someone calls you sexy or thinks you’re sexy,” she said. “I think that’s great. But, for me now, there’s so many ways to be sexy without being overt about it. I think you can wear a great short dress, but if you have long sleeves and you’re only showing leg.”
Beauvais said that she wants to remain sexy as she ages, but she will do it in a classy manner.
“I love Beyonce. I love her,” said the 47-year-old actress. “I think she’s beautiful and talented. But I think there has to be a fine line where you have to take responsibility for what you do. I think it’s good to be sexy, but sexy can come across in so many different ways. It doesn’t have to be everything showing out grinding, all of the time.”
Beyonce recently donned a revealing costume while performing “Drunk In Love” at the Grammy Awards with husband Jay Z.

Meet the Villians of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

The Marvel movies have been pretty loyal to the their comic book counterpart, so I can only assume the only deviance from the origins will to better tie in the Avengers stories of Thanos being the ultimate villain after he collects all the Infinity Stones.

RONAN THE ACCUSER - Lee Pace

Ronan was born on the planet Hala, the capital of the Kree Empire in the Greater Magellanic Cloud. Ronan is a member of the alien Kree ace and a member of the Accuser Corps, who are the Kree equivalent of military governors and jurists. His rise through the ranks was extraordinary, and he eventually became the third-most powerful being in the Kree Empire. The Supreme Intelligence appointed him “Supreme Accuser of the Kree Empire,” and in this role he is known simply as “Ronan the Accuser”.

Ronan possesses superhuman strength, endurance, speed and reflexes; which are enhanced by devices in his suit of full-body exoskeleton armor. Ronan also has devices in his armor which create fields of invisibility, and devices in his gauntlets which generate sufficient coldness to place certain life forms into a state of suspended animation. Ronan also possesses a weapon called the "Universal Weapon", a device which uses cosmic energy for a variety of effects according to the wielder's will, including the disintegration, rearrangement, and transmutation of matter, the projection of concussive energy blasts, the absorption of energy, control over gravity, the creation of force fields and "time-motion displacement fields" and interstellar teleportation along hyperspatial passages. A brutal space pirate and mercenary, Nebula seized control of Sanctuary II, a massive spaceship previously under the command of Thanos. Thanos was believed to be dead at this point, and Nebula claimed that he had been her grandfather. Nebula’s band of mercenaries and pirates consisted of Skunge,Kehl, Gunthar, and Levan.

Nebula is an athletic woman and an excellent armed and unarmed combatant. She possesses a gifted intellect and is a brilliant battle strategist.

Nebula uses blasters worn on her wrists that fire concussive blasts of unknown energy or heat blasts that can incinerate a human being almost instantly. She also apparently wears a device that enables her to disguise her appearance, either through illusion-casting or through actual molecular rearrangement of her body and clothing. The Collector has the power of prophecy, allowing him to foresee the rise of a being powerful enough to pose a threat to the Elders: Thanos. To protect life in the universe, the Collector created a massive museum of countless life forms to keep them safe from Thanos. For a time, he even possessed one of the six Infinity Gems, unaware of its true power, until Thanos took it.

The Collector possesses the ability to manipulate cosmic energy for a variety of effects, including projecting concussive force beams, and the increasing of his size and mass (and hence physical strength) at will. He also possesses limited shape-changing abilities. His precognitive abilities give him brief visions of alternate future, although he must meditate for long periods to identify the individuals he sees in the vision and its apparent point in time. He has telepathic abilities that enable him to make limited contact with the minds of other Elders. Due to a vow by Death, Collector and all the Elders cannot die and are effectively immortal.

HEROES IS BACK! New miniseries coming back in 2015

NBC teased a plan to revive the “Heroes” franchise as an event miniseries next year during Saturday’s telecast of Olympics coverage.

The brief spot featured a fade-in on the “Heroes” logo with the word “Reborn” added along with “Coming 2015.”

There had been rumors last year that the Peacock was looking to revive the mystery-fantasy drama, created by Tim Kring, that aired from 2006-2010. Kring is set to exec produce 13 new episodes.

“The enormous impact ‘Heroes’ had on the television landscape when it first launched in 2006 was eye-opening,” said NBC Entertainment prexy Jennifer Salke. “Shows with that kind of resonance don’t come around often and we thought it was time for another installment. We’re thrilled that visionary creator Tim Kring was as excited about jumping back into this show as we were and we look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept. Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in.”

ETA: The trailer is here - it'll be 13 episodes on NBC sometime next year.

Bravo Stars React To Their Real Housewives Awards Nominations!

The TV world has the Emmys. Movies have the Oscars. Bravo has The Real Housewives Awards. E! News had the scoop on the first annual awards honoring the lovely ladies of Bravo's Real Housewives franchise with categories such as Loveliest Locks, Favorite Quote and Best Supporting Agitator.

No surprise here that one-liner queen Ramona Singer of Real Housewives of New York is in the running for Favorite Quote for yelling "Calm down, take a Xanax" at fellow Housewife Aviva Drescher while in St. Barths.

"So many people have tweeted me to tell me how much they love that expression and have actually started using it themselves! Maybe it will even go in the urban dictionary like ‘Turtle Time' did," Ramona told E! News. "Turtle Time, of course, means drinking Pinot Grigio, having fun with your friends and dancing!"

Ramona's up against Lisa Vanderpump, Milania Giudice, Lisa Hochstein, Heather Dubrow and NeNe Leakes.

In the Rookie of the Year category it's Aviva, Carlton Gebbia, Carole Radziwill, Kenya Moore, Heather Thomson, Lydia Mclaughlin, Joyce Giraud and Porsha Stewart.

"It's always tough being the new kid on the block, but I think I did a good job holding my own," Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha told E! News. "Thanks to Bravo for recognizing my strength and perseverance."

Melissa Gorga of Real Housewives of New Jersey fame is in the running for Loveliest Locks.

"Nothing can come between a Housewife and her hair! There is some major competition in this category, but I'm excited to be nominated and of course my hairstylist is thrilled!" she said.

Melissa's competition includes RHONY's Aviva, Real Housewives of Orange County's Alexis Bellino, RHOBH's Joyce and Kyle Richards and RHOA's Cynthia Bailey.

The Best Supporting Agitator category features "friends" of the Housewives, not main cast members. Of course, Kim D. is in the running for her work on Real Housewives of New Jersey.

"I think it's fab to have the awards and I appreciate the nod for a job well done," Kim said. "If I win, I'd be happy to accept it!"

In the Most Memorable Outfit category there are some shockers, along with some beautiful outfits. Joanna Krupa is nominated for her wedding gown she wore on Real Housewives of Miami.

"My wedding was everything that I dreamt of as a little girl and more—it was inspired by Stephanie Seymour in the November Rain video. I wanted my dress to be non-traditional and go down in history as the most original wedding dress ever. I am honored Bravo included me in their awards as my dress meant everything to me."

Can she beat Teresa Giudice's all purple Victoria Gotti lunch outfit? Sonja Morgan's snow hat? Other nominees include Gretchen Rossi's proposal dress, Kenya's Phaedra outfit and Yolanda Foster's white pants.

There's no question that Caroline Manzo knows a thing or two about dating etiquette. She has been married to Al Manzo for 29 years and now has three adult children, one of whom, Lauren Manzo, is engaged. Now, Caroline is revealing tips for what can be a scary moment: Meeting your significant other's parents.

Caroline feels that the most important thing when meeting your sweetie's fam is to not be phony. "In my opinion, the worst thing you can do is be anything less than yourself," Caroline writes. "You are the one your significant other cares for, not your 'representative.'"

Beyond that, Caroline thinks you should do your best to get to know the family. "Make an effort to interact with the family on some level, whether it be through conversation, lending a hand in the kitchen, or joining in on a game or activity," she continues.

And just as the person you're dating probably likes flowers, so too do their relatives. "I’m a big fan of fresh flowers for a hostess gift," Caroline says. "Don’t go overboard. It should just be a little token of appreciation for the invitation into their home. It’s not a wedding. Too much can be insulting."

Kyle and Brandi Have Made Peace!

It seems like Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Carlton Gebbia may actually have magical powers after all. Case in point: it would appear that she is the driving force that brought costars—and former enemies—Brandi Glanville and Kyle Richards—together!

The two ladies stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Feb. 20, and spoke about how they finally became friends.

“I think it was just time and getting to know each other,” Kyle said of her friendship with Brandi. “Sometimes we’d be filming things and then afterwards maybe grab a bite to eat off-camera. You know just talking and over time getting to know each other and relating more on a mommy level.”

During their radio spot, a fan called in and asked Brandi if she could see a future where she and Eddie got along. “You know I’d have to check with my lawyer on that and get back to you,” she joked. She then added, “Hopefully one day.”

Likewise, Kyle has been able to work on her friendship with Brandi—thanks to her feud with Carlton.

“She just hasn’t been nice to me from the beginning,” Kyle explained. “She wanted not to like me. Clearly, in my opinion, she was a viewer of the show and had made an opinion of me and came into the show and said, ‘I want to have a problem with her.’”

“I really like her… Carlton and I get along really well,” she said. “Kyle and I get along well. Carlton and Kyle don’t. I just try to stay out of their situation.”

She's the prim and perfect pop star turned fashion icon whose life is a whimsical mystery.

But Victoria Beckham has given a rare candid interview discussing her grooming techniques, workout tips and reveals the happiest she's ever been.

"Living in America for six years was the happiest I think I've ever been," the fashion icon told Allure Magazine.

"It was much more accepting for a woman to have a career, as well as a man. And I loved it."

But Victoria, 39, who moved back to the UK earlier this year, adds: "I'm not saying I'm not happy now. I'm just as happy now!"

The fashion queen also reveals she doesn't shave her legs.

Oh. Erm...

"I don't shave my legs. I got laser which is amazing. You can go back for little touch-ups if you do see little hairs appearing," she explains.

*phew*

"But I've been very lucky that I haven't had to. That was one of the best tips that Eva Longoria ever gave me," she adds.

VB also claims to run up to four miles every day and says she gets up at 6am every day to exercise.

You can read the full interview in the March 2014 issue of the magazine, out now.

New web app set to drive Gosling fans crazy.

Actor Ryan Gosling has a legion of dedicated fans the world over.

But while many would give any appendage for even the briefest of liplocks with the heartthrob, most of us have accepted that we’ll have to make do with the dream.

Until now.

Launched earlier this month, the website kissingryan.com gives Gosling fans the chance to smooch the star. Virtually, at least.

Ryan Gosling puckers up for kissingryan.com

The simple app uses a conveniently-posed image of Gosling and a computer’s webcam to take a snap of ordinary folk snogging the actor. All you need to do is pucker up, and click.

Of course, we’re sure there are a myriad of imaginative other uses for the app. We just can’t quite bring ourselves to Google it.

Be honest ONTD you wanna get with this:
