Hot mom of two! Megan Fox has welcomed her second child, a baby boy, with husband Brian Austin Green, TMZ reports.

According to a birth certificate obtained by the site, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles star gave birth to Bodhi Ransom Green on Feb. 12.

Fox, 27, and Green, 40, who wed in June 2010, are already parents to son Noah, 17 months. (Green is also dad to son Kassius, 11, with ex-girlfriend Vanessa Marcil.)

The This Is 40 actress admitted back in November that her second pregnancy was "rough in the beginning.""I've had rough first trimesters," the mom explained to Us of both her pregnancies. "But once you get into the second, it's fine after that."

The couple announced they were expecting their second child together last August. At the time, Fox was busy filming 2014's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in New York City.

Shortly after the announcement, former Beverly Hills, 90210 star Green admitted that they didn't have their hearts set on a boy or a girl. "I'm [just] hoping for a healthy baby," he said. Adding about his pregnant wife: "She's doing great. She did great the first time around, but I wouldn't wish the experience on anybody! I couldn't do it! I couldn't make a baby, it's unbelievable!"

Ashley Wagner Feels "Gypped"

SOCHI, Russia — Ashley Wagner launched a withering attack on figure skating's hierarchy and the Winter Olympics judges on Thursday night after being pushed down to seventh in the ladies' individual competition.

The 22-year-old American fought back tears as she revealed her frustration and anger with the judging at the Iceberg Skating Palace and suggested that the two Russian skaters, gold medalist Adelina Sotnikova and fifth-place finisher Julia Lipnitskaia, had been given unfairly inflated scores.

"I feel gypped," said Wagner, who skated two programs without any falls and punched the air with delight at the end of her free skate.

However, she ended up behind Lipnitskaia, who fell in each of her programs; Mao Asada, who fell heavily during a disastrous short program; and fourth-place Gracie Gold, the fellow American who tumbled to the ice on Thursday.

Wagner appeared to take particular exception to Lipnitskaia's scores and claimed the judging controversy would damage figure skating's popularity.

"People don't want to watch a sport where you see people fall down and somehow score above someone who goes clean," she said. "It is confusing and we need to make it clear for you.

"To be completely honest, this sport needs fans and needs people who want to watch it. People do not want to watch a sport where they see someone skate lights out and they can't depend on that person to be the one who pulls through. People need to be held accountable."

Wagner's total of 193.20 was 7.37 points behind that of Lipnitskaia, the Russian sweetheart who won the hearts of the host nation with a pair of performances that helped win gold in the team competition. That was despite Lipnitskaia's falling heavily on both nights and being visibly dismayed at her performance once she left the rink after her free skate.

"They need to get rid of the anonymous judging," Wagner said. "There are many changes that need to come to this sport if we want a fan base, because you can't depend on this sport to always be there when you need it. The sport in general needs to become more dependable."

Sotnikova won gold with an incredible score of 149.95 for her long program, 18 points above her previous season's best. Defending champion Yuna Kim of South Korea took silver, and Carolina Kostner of Italy secured bronze.

"I am speechless," Wagner said, when asked how she felt the competition had transpired and Sotnikova had landed a gold medal that few saw coming."The crowd was very supportive of the Russians, so to be a Russian figure skater must have been absolutely incredible to get out there … period."

Wagner's inference could not have been more obvious — the Russians, on home ice, had an advantage. She, like many others, will long feel that there was something fishy going on during this competition. Not that she was totally surprised.

"I came into this event knowing pretty well that that was how it was going to go," she added. "It is not fair to the skaters who work so hard to become noticed if they are not going to have a sport that backs up what they are doing."

Wagner vowed to return in four years to have another crack at the Winter Games when they are held in the South Korean city of Pyeongchang
. So, too, did Gold and 15-year-old Polina Edmunds, who fell once in her long program but ended up in ninth place.

Gold's outside chance of claiming a medal effectively evaporated when Kostner and Sotnikova skated so strongly immediately before she took her turn.

"Of course I hoped for a medal, but when that happened, I knew it was gone pretty much and that I was going to be fourth," Gold said. "I am happy with how the Olympics have gone for me. You always want to skate a clean program, but I couldn't be happier."

Gold ended up 11.20 points back from Kostner but has catapulted herself into the spotlight over the past month and won an army of followers. If she does carry on to 2018, she will have plenty of support.

Out of the three, it could be the quiet-spoken Edmunds who has the biggest upside. She is likely to be a major threat in 2018 if she continues to improve at such an impressive rate.

Aside from the bronze won by Wagner and Gold in the team event, the U.S. women came up empty-handed, mirroring events of four years ago when Mirai Nagasu finished fourth and Rachael Flatt [lol Rachel Flatt] came in seventh.
That said, there is plenty of reason to be optimistic about the future, and all three Americans will take some positive memories in their own way.

Who Were the Figure Skating Judges?

$

Rarely does a Winter Olympics pass without something happening that invites intense scrutiny of the figure skating judges. On Thursday night, the latest issue emerged — this time at the most high-profile moment, after the reigning gold medalist, Kim Yu-na of South Korea, performed the final free skate of the competition.

Kim was given a lower score (144.19) in the long program than Adelina Sotnikova (149.95) of Russia. Sotnikova finished with 224.59 overall points to Kim’s 219.11, a result that gave Sotnikova the gold medal and provoked international debate.

After a vote-trading scandal by judges discredited the pairs and ice-dancing competition at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, skating officials overhauled their scoring and judging systems, trying to make the sport more objective and less susceptible to corruption. But the sport’s credibility remains a source of great dispute.

Individual scores by judges are given anonymously. The votes by each judge are kept in a safe at the headquarters of the international skating federation in Lausanne, Switzerland, according to Sonia Bianchetti of Italy, who has judged at seven Olympics.

Anonymity was granted to judges in an effort to lessen pressure from their national skating federations. But this makes it extremely difficult to detect collusion and nationalistic bias, Bianchetti recently said.

Here is a rundown of the officials and judges involved with the women’s free program on Thursday night in Sochi:

■ Judge No. 1: Birgit Föll of Germany.

■ Judge No. 2: Yuri Balkov of Ukraine. At the 1998 Winter Games in Nagano, Japan, Balkov was taped by the Canadian judge Jean Senft explaining what order the competitors would finish in the ice-dancing competition before it took place. He was suspended for one year. He returned to judging and is certified by the international federation.

■ Judge No. 3: Franco Benini of Italy.

■ Judge No. 4: Zanna Kulik of Estonia.

■ Judge No. 5: Nobuhiko Yoshioka of Japan.

■ Judge No. 6: Alla Shekhovtsova of Russia. She is the wife of Valentin Piseev, general director of the Russian figure skating federation.

■ Judge No. 7: Hélène Cucuphat of France.

■ Judge No. 8: Karen Howard of Canada.

■ Judge No. 9: Adriana Domanska of Slovakia.

■ Technical controller: Alexander Lakernik of Russia, who has been the vice president of the Russian figure skating federation. He was voted chairman of the international federation’s technical committee in the wake of the 2002 Salt Lake scandal.

■ Technical specialist: Vanessa Gusmeroli, a retired French figure skater and a world championships bronze medalist.

■ Assistant technical specialist: Olga Baranova of Finland.

■ Referee: Diana Barbacci Levy of Switzerland.

■ Data operator: David Santee of the United States.

■ Replay operator: Alexander Kuznetsov of Russia. In the aftermath of the judging scandal at the 2002 Salt Lake Games, Russian officials, including Kuznetsov, expressed frustration that the Canadians pushed to have the pair of Jamie Sale and David Pelletier elevated to a gold medal. “The Russians would never have brought up this issue,” said Kuznetsov, identified as a “figure skating coach.” “The Russians would have proven their right to victory at the next competition.”

Nothing spreads like wildfire more than an embarrassing photo or video, which is too bad for these fast food chains with employees caught in acts that give health code inspectors the shivers.

In the latest fast food photo mishap, a district manager is shown in a surveillance video urinating in the kitchen sink of a Pizza Hut in a small town in West Virginia. The restaurant location in Kermit, which is on the border with Kentucky, has been closed since the video surfaced this week, though the incident was recorded several weeks ago.

The unnamed man oversees six Pizza Hut locations, according to WOWK-TV, a CBS affiliate.

Here's more about the incident captured on tape at the Pizza Hut and other images taken from other fast food publicity disaster.

A spokeswoman for Pizza Hut said the company is "embarrassed by the actions of this individual."

"Pizza Hut has zero tolerance for violations of our operating standards, and the local owner of the restaurant took immediate action and terminated the employee involved," Pizza Hut's statement read. "While the isolated incident occurred during non-business hours and did not involve any food tampering, we follow strict safety and handling procedures and the restaurant has since been closed permanently. We apologize to our customers of Kermit, West Virginia and those in our system who have been let down by this situation."

From Beyoncé to Sinatra: Photos of the Food and Drinks Stars Demand

Brooklyn-based photographer Henry Hargreaves is a master of still life photography. His Band Rider series is one of my favorites. Using a Flemish painting style, these photos portrait the food and drink that many famous artists demand in their shows, from Beyoncé Knowles and Frank Sinatra to Britney Spears and Busta Rhymes.—J.

The catering riders themselves can be pretty comprehensive. We initially thought I would try and shoot the whole list of items but quickly realized that this would become an exercise in spending money and waste. So we decided to edit down and focus on the quirky and unique requests and how some of these things may be juxtaposed.

brqidyxxdydywfv8bsra

The rider is a series of requests a band or musician makes when playing a show. It typically outlines how they want their equipment to be set up and arranged through to how they want their dressing room organized and what food and drink they require. These requests range from the low maintenance to the outrageous. What attracted us to do this series was the way their requests manage to say something about the performers personality that words struggle to and how we can identify with them through food and drink.

liqyqdvmbjv5bnghqqag

Working closely with regular collaborator Caitlin levin we wanted to show these riders in a beautiful, noble and timeless way. The idea to show them in a Flemish Still Life manner was because we felt that there was a direct connection between the themes in the paining of time passing and mortality with the musician's time in the fading limelight and the short span they would have to be able to make these demands and have them fulfilled.

New pics of Eva Green and Lena Headey from 300 Rise of Empire

Noam Murro's 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE has just dropped the axe on us with a ton of kickass new stills and we've got each and every one of them right here for you guys to dig through. The sequel will cover a lot of ground this time around as it takes place before, during, and after the events of Zack Snyder's 2006 film 300. The story follows the naval battles between Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) and Artemisia (Eva Green) and the latter’s control over Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro).

Even though 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE has no doubt a very large hill of dead bodies to climb, so far it looks like Murro was up to the task because he absolutely nailed the atmosphere and stylish look of the first film. But did he deliver a kickass story with even better action? Time will tell! The stills are absolutely gorgeous, giving us a brief look at the world of 300 and the battles that will litter the land. I'm really looking forward to seeing how these naval battles pan out because so far they look like they're going to be pretty sick. See for yourselves below!

Based on Frank Miller’s latest graphic novel Xerxes and told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster “300,” this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield—on the sea—as Greek general Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war. “300: Rise of an Empire” pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), and Artemisia (Eva Green), vengeful commander of the Persian navy.

The action adventure stars Sullivan Stapleton ("Gangster Squad") as Themistokles and Eva Green ("Dark Shadows," "Casino Royale") as Artemesia. Lena Headey reprises her starring role from "300" as the Spartan Queen, Gorgo; Hans Matheson ("Clash of the Titans") stars as Aeskylos; and Rodrigo Santoro stars again as the Persian King, Xerxes. 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE opens in theaters on March 7th.

Moore of the same? Demi, 51, finds another toyboy as she 'flirts up a storm' with ...

Is romance brewing between Demi Moore and Alex Pettyfer?

Demi-Moore-Alex-Pettyfer-3163365

Seems there could be after the couple was spotted “flirting up a storm” Saturday night—Popdust has the exclusive rundown from an eyewitness.

As we all know, the 51-year-old certainly appreciates a younger, good looking guy, and both she and the 23-year-old Brit are currently single and ready to mingle...

A fellow partier tells Popdust Demi strutted in to a Hollywood party around 11 pm Saturday (at the new nameless Fairfax club that took over from the now defunct Largo) in a bizarre white romper ensemble and managed to steal the limelight from all the twenty-somethings in the house.

After exchanging air kisses with the party host, Pettyfer and Moore quickly made a beeline for each other.

“It was like they were long lost lovers,” the eyewitness dishes. “Alex actually picked Demi up off the ground and swung her around, and then he kept both arms wrapped around her waist as they caught up.”

After their initial pleasantries, the pair moved onto Alex’s table where the flirting continued.

A sexy red-head in a low-cut dress even sauntered by and tried to steal Alex’s gaze from Demi at one point, but ultimately failed.

“He looked her up and down for a second, but then it was right back to Demi—and, she was totally working it. She leaned on the table with her elbows and bent at the waist so her curves were on full display.

“And fair play to Demi, she looked absolutely stunning.”

After some serious flirt time, the source says Pettyfer and Moore drifted away from each other to schmooze with other glitterati, but reconnected once again toward the end of the night.

There was major chemistry between them, they were flirting up a storm. And, it’s got to be said, despite the age difference they make a really hot couple!

Charlotte Dawson Has Passed Away.

CHARLOTTE Dawson has been found dead at her Woolloomooloo home. A police media spokesman gave this statement to news.com.au this morning: “About 11am police from the Kings Cross local area command were called to Cowper Wharf Road after the body of a woman had been located in a unit. No suspicious circumstances at this stage and a report is being prepared for the coroner.”

The Australia’s Next Top Model judge is understood to have been found by a security guard in her rented waterside apartment this morning. It’s a devastating loss for the family and friends of the 47-year-old television presenter, who had long battled depression.

Dawson was hospitalised in 2012 after hundreds of social media trolls viciously targeted her on Twitter. Dawson appeared on the Nine Network’s A Current Affair and Ten Network’s The Project last night to expose vitriolic Twitter bullying this week, with many followers calling for the celebrity to “please go hang yourself.”

Close friend Alex Perry spoke to news.com.au in the wake of the tragic news. “She was such a beautiful girl, she had so much energy and such a sense of humour but her battle with her mental illness just made it so difficult for her to really go in so many parts of her life,” he said.

“It was such a battle and as she got older it was harder to deal with, I just can’t believe she has taken her own life but all I can do is pray for her and know now that she is up there with her mother who she dearly loved. “I loved Charlotte so much but she was a very tormented woman and really was finding it hard to battle her mental illness,” says Mr Perry.

“She obviously has tried and tried so hard to raise awareness of mental illness but it really did just totally take it’s toll and got on top of her. As I said, I pray for her.”

In August 2012, Dawson was admitted to St Vincent’s Hospital after attempting to commit suicide when she was attacked by Twitter trolls for naming and shaming a Twitter user, who brutally told her to hang herself.

Dawson checked herself into the same hospital in November 2013 after suffering a panic attack.

omg this really shocked me. she was such an entertaining judge on AusNTM. And all her efforts to raise awareness for mental illness, despite constantly being dismissed for doing it for publicity. So sad.

Jill Soloway on Her Amazon Series ‘Transparent’ And Tackling Trans Narratives

$
0
0

Last week, Amazon unveiled “Transparent,” a buzzy half-hour pilot from television producer Jill Soloway, a veteran of such cable series as “Six Feet Under,” “How to Make it In America,” “The United States of Tara” and the writer/director of the feature “Afternoon Delight,” a Sundance favorite.

“Transparent” concerns the self-involved adult children (played by Gaby Hoffman, Jay Dualass and Amy Landecker) of a patriarch, played by Jeffrey Tambor, who has—spoiler alert—begun to experiment with living as a woman.

If feedback at its site winds up being especially positive, Amazon will produce a first season of nine episodes of the show. Ms. Soloway, who lives in Los Angeles, has been drumming up online chatter in the hopes of ensuring that is the case. In a phone conversation, she spoke about “Transparent.”

What made you cast Jeffrey Tambor in the central role in the series?

He was the first person I thought of. He’s so gender queer adjacent himself. Actually, he was so comfortable dressed as a woman. When he put on a dress, he said, “I finally feel like myself.” He wasn’t joking.

Was it hard to convince him to do “Transparent”?

I sent the pilot to his agent and within about an hour of sending it, he said, “Can you meet at Le Pain Quotidian?” We had a great little meeting and he was like, “I’m in.”

Did you have other ideas if Jeffrey had passed?

Some of the other people in my mind when I was writing it were Kevin Kline, Christopher Guest, Alan Alda and Robert Klein. There was also a John Larroquette moment. I just liked the idea of a lovable American dad. But Tambor was totally into it from the start.

Were you inspired by other “trans” narratives?

I was inspired to do something slightly different. In the old days, trans people were always villains, and the new guard usually shows trans people as victims. I like the idea that the trans person is one of five characters in a story, all of whom have trouble understanding boundaries and intimacy. As we’re gearing up, hoping to get ordered, I’m thinking about the storyline. Growing up, these kids’ father was a ghost in the house. In that way, there’s a little bit of Don Draper and “Mad Men.”

How did working with Amazon compare to working with other networks?

Normally at one of those networks you’re dealing with a whole bunch of people—my own producers and development people, for instance—kind of guessing what the network president would think. You’re always going back and forth. At Amazon, it was basically me and [head of comedy] Joe Lewis talking and making decisions.

Would you go back to a more bureaucratic way of development?

What makes you think I’d have to go back? I’d guess that really successful people could go to the mat for a piece of talent no matter where they’re working, but I want “Transparent” to go on for five or six years.

Did Amazon encourage you to push the envelope?

They’re just open to creators doing what feels right. They didn’t push me in either direction.

How do you feel about the Amazon way of having viewers rate the pilots?

At first I was nervous, but I was very quickly made pretty comfortable. It was great to be able to get feedback so quickly. Normally you make a pilot and nobody sees it and you’re wondering why it doesn’t get picked up. You just try to imagine what the executives are talking about when they’re talking about your pilot. These are people wondering whether they can sell ad time against it . But here we heard directly from critics who said, “We’re crazy about this pilot.” To have the support of audiences and critics as the network is making the decision was sort of unprecedented for me. I guess if it had gone the other way, I wouldn’t have liked it. We still need America to give five stars. I’m also telling people to buy a lot of expensive stuff on Amazon. Can you ask people to watch it and buy a $5000 Samsung television after?

Graham Norton is furious over RTE's homophobia payout to gay marriage opponents

$

Presenter Graham Norton has called Irish broadcaster RTE's decision to pay opponents of gay marriage an 85,000 euros settlement "absolutely moronic".

It came after Catholic lobby group the Iona Institute and two prominent Irish journalists threatened legal action after being described as homophobic on an episode of the Saturday Night Show.

Norton told Irish magazine Hot Press he was "furious" about RTE's decision.

He also said gay marriage opponents were "out of touch" with new Ireland.

"I'm not registered to vote in Ireland but I do pay the licence fee there," said Norton, adding that he was "furious that some of my money has gone to these idiots".

"RTE settling wasn't gutless, it was absolutely moronic," he said.

Irish female impersonator Panti Bliss had singled out four members of right-wing group the Iona Institute and two Irish newspaper columnists during a programme last month, saying they were "horrible and mean about gays".

The Iona officials and journalists John Waters and Breda O'Brien, who are all vocally opposed to gay marriage, claimed they had been defamed and threatened to sue the broadcaster.

The broadcaster has defended its decision to settle out of court.

In his Hot Press cover interview Norton said he was disappointed that the journalists had decided to take legal action instead of examining why they might be accused of homophobia.

Although he said he has no desire to get married himself, Norton added: "I want to ask these people, 'Why are you so scared and intimidated by the idea of gay marriage?'"

Norton said attitudes had changed a lot since he was growing up gay in west Cork, and spending his summers there in recent years, he had found it was "such a different place".

"It takes pride in accepting all types of people. There's more than 40 shades of green," said Norton.

He added: "This tiny minority can yell all they want, but it's over. It's all done. The Iona Institute, and people like that, are like rats trapped in the corner of a barn. They know the jig is up. That's why they're screaming so loud."

However, he added that he was glad gay marriage opponents existed as "they drag everyone towards the centre".

"You hear their opinions and suddenly you're a little bit more tolerant - because you don't want to be them!"

Norton also took to Twitter yesterday after reports of his comments appeared in the Irish press.

He wrote: "Various Irish papers quoting me as saying RTE payout was gutless. I actually said the opposite. Not gutless. It was moronic."
