Cara Delevingne looked chic as a bridesmaid for her older sister Chloe Delevingne's wedding in London on Friday.

The 21-year-old supermodel donned a long formfitting navy blue dress with black strappy heels. The British beauty kept warm in a tan coat and she wore her blond locks in a tousled updo. She completed the look with a smoky eye and natural lips.

Cara's other older sister, Poppy Delevingne, was also a bridesmaid and wore a navy gown with white detailing.

"What an amazing day! @cdelevingne @edwardajgrant #wedding," Cara captioned the heartwarming pic at the nuptials.

A source tells E! News that the wedding was very low-key with only close family present. The reception was held at Mark's club, a private members dining club.

Gettin' Frisky with Justin!

A new video of Justin Bieber has emerged, showing him being patted down at the police station after being arrested in Miami Beach, Florida on January 23rd. It shows him walking into the booking area of the jail, removing his oversized hoodie, and "assuming the position" while barefooted. He appears to be cooperative during this time.

In the CNN video, Miami Beach Police Chief, Ray Martinez, said he was "extremely confident" his arresting officers followed procedure "by the book," despite receiving criticism for Justin Bieber's low blood-alcohol content reading.

ADD: Since I couldn't get the CNN post to embed properly, I found the full 3 minute video (no sound) at a different source.

Where's the video of him spreading his cheeks and coughing though?

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s Benzino & Stevie J. Celebrate Grand Opening Of Sleazy & Zino – Fight Erupts

Stevie-J.-and-Joseline-Hernandez-Love-Hip-Hop-Atlanta-1

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta's Benzino and Stevie J. hosted the grand opening of their bistro and bar "Sleazy & Zino” last night and VH1 was on hand to catch all of the action – and action there was!

The red carpet affair, hosted by V-103's Big Tigger, got a little out of hand.  You're shocked, we know.  We were planning to just share the fun pics of the night's festivities and then the news broke that a pretty big fight went down.  Thankfully VH1 cameras were rolling, right? Looks like we'll have front row seats when the episode airs.

In attendance for the grand opening and taping: Stevie J., Benzino, Erica Dixon, Mama Dee, Joseline Hernandez, Kandi Burruss, Karlie Redd, Kirk Frost, Lil' Scrappy, Towanda Braxton and many more!

The details of the fight are a little fuzzy, but a party goer told TMZ "the trouble began when Joseline Hernandez walked in with a girlfriend. We're told the friend instigated an argument … and pretty soon fists were flying.  Karlie Redd was knocked out … several others suffered bloody cuts … and somebody threw a bottle at Momma Dee, hitting her in the face." (Mess!)

Aside from the entertainment (aka the brawl), the night featured a live performance by Stevie J. and Benzino’s new twelve piece band, the Magnificent 757’s and tasting of the bistro’s signature dishes and a toast presented by Ciroc and Birthday Cake Wine.

15 (5) Most Outrageous Faked Musical Performances

0
0
After the Chili Peppers' instantly infamous "unplugged" performance at the Super Bowl, we revisit some notorious acts of fakery

Fake It Till You Make It
During this past weekend's Super Bowl halftime show, a few eagle-eyed people among the hundreds of millions watching at home noticed something odd about the Red Hot Chili Peppers' performance: No cords or cables were plugged into Flea's bass or Josh Klinghoffer's guitar. After a brief uproar, Flea admitted in an open letter, "When we were asked by the NFL and Bruno [Mars] to play our song 'Give It Away' at the Super Bowl, it was made clear to us that the vocals would be live, but the bass, drums and guitar would be prerecorded," he wrote. "I understand the NFL's stance on this, given they only have a few minutes to set up the stage, there a zillion things that could go wrong and ruin the sound for the folks watching in the stadium and the T.V. viewers."

But, of course, there is a long history of our favorite pop stars only pretending to sing and play. Here are some of the most embarrassing, funniest and just plain weirdest instances of musicians demonstrating their miming skills.

Beyonce Sings (Sorta) to the President
In an incident that threatened to overshadow President Barack Obama's second-term inauguration, liberals and conservatives briefly agreed on one thing: Beyoncé lip-synced her rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner." After a social media outcry, Beyoncé finally admitted that, yes, she did use a prerecorded track, but only because the frigid Washington, D.C. temperatures in January would have affected her performance. "I am a perfectionist," Knowles said. In a press conference leading up to her Super Bowl halftime performance, Bey treated the press to a jaw-dropping rendition of the National Anthem, effectively ending this scandal.

Britney Gives Viewers Less of "Gimme More"
The 2007 MTV Video Music Awards were supposed to be Britney Spears' big comeback after taking a hiatus to have kids and marry (and divorce) Kevin Federline. Instead, Brit's listless performance of "Gimme More," with the singer unable to both dance and lip-sync along with her new single, was universally panned and perhaps triggered a series of events that led to Spears' mental breakdown early the next year. "She was extremely nervous. It's been awhile since she's done this, and she was performing in front of all her peers, on live TV," a source close to Britney said after the disastrous performance. "She just got out there and froze."

Milli Vanilli Sync Their Careers
Milli Vanilli. Perhaps the most infamous and most embarrassing lip-synch in history comes courtesy of Milli Vanilli, a German pop duo consisting of male models Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan. Hot off winning the Best New Artist Grammy, Milli Vanilli were recording a concert special for MTV when the backing track for their hit "Girl You Know It's True" kept skipping, revealing that the duo were not singing live. In fact, they weren't singing at all; it was later revealed that neither Pilatus nor Morvan actually sang on their debut LP. The duo were subsequently dropped from their label Arista and forced to vacate their Grammy win on their way to becoming one of music's biggest punch lines.

Ashlee Simpson Misses the Point of 'Saturday Night LIVE'
Another Vanilli-esque career-killing incident befell Ashlee Simpson following her musical performance on an October 2004 episode of Saturday Night Live. Either Ashlee or her band missed their opening cue, but that didn't stop whoever was in charge of Simpson's prerecorded vocal track from pressing play. Knowing that her secret was exposed, Ashlee danced an awkward little jig before jetting offstage, leaving her band to perform an instrumental version of "Pieces of Me." "I'm so sorry. My band started playing the wrong song, and I didn't know what to do, so I thought I'd do a hoedown," Simpson explained.

Nigerian pop star launches 'Whitenicious' skin bleaching cream

0
0

A Nigerian and Cameroonian pop star who launched a skin cream called Whitenicious has defended her product after critics branded it an 'abomination' for promoting skin-bleaching.

In an interview with Ebony, Dencia claims that the skincare cream is intended to remove dark spots, and that it is out of her control if customers use it to whiten their entire skin.

Defending her own drastically altered appearance since she started using Whitenicious, the singer asserts: 'I was never that dark in real life... And guess what? I don't even care because [critics] are bringing me business.'

According to the product website, Whitenicious - which bears the slogan, 'Say goodbye to pigmentation and spots forever' - effectively lightens skin in just seven days.

Skin bleaching is a growing trend in Dencia's native West Africa, and critics are angered that it appears she is promoting it with her product.

Specifically, the pop star has been criticized for using her own changing skin tone as a marketing technique. Pictures of Dencia taken in 2011 show her with much darker pigmentation compared to the Whitenicious campaign where she appears several shades lighter.

She then elaborates by saying:'Look at all the Africans that are successful in the world. They are as Black as Alek Wek. And if I was as Black as Alek Wek, I would never ever use anything on my skin.'

Ultimately, Dencia admits than Whitenicious can indeed be used to bleach skin, but that most women wouldn't use it this way because of its luxury price point.

'I don't see anybody spending all that money to bleach their entire skin,' she says of her product, which costs $60 for a small pot and $160 for a large one. 'I don’t see that happening.'
Without skipping a beat, though, she proceeds to contradict herself by asserting that if a customer were to bleach her entire skin, it would be beyond her control.

One person posted a tweet directed at her, writing: 'This #whitenicious cream of yours is an abomination and creating more insecurities among women all over the world.'

And another said: 'When Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "I have a dream…" The dream was not to become white.'

NEW DOCUMENTS FILED IN TERESA AND JOE GIUDICE CASE

wenn20868427

Each time I read new documents in the fraud trial of Joe and Teresa Giudice, I practically break out in hives imagining the cost for each document, each piece of research, every billable minute the legal team is working away on their case.  It's mind boggling.  I'd give anything to see the total when all is said and done.  The Real Housewives of New Jersey better go for at least another 30 seasons so Tre can pay her bill.

Teresa and Joe's attorneys filed some new documents in the federal fraud case yesterday.  Teresa's attorneys are still trying to get more information from the prosecutors and you can feel their frustration in trying to get a few issues resolved.  They reiterate their reasons for demanding that Teresa be severed from Joe for the trial and are asking for clarification on many of the counts.  It's an interesting read, once again!

Some of the highlights are below, including a letter Joe's attorney filed that just states Joe's position on Teresa's requests. I tried to bold the more important and interesting statements for those who would prefer to skim.  I cut out some of the longwinded wording, but tried to keep it as intact as I could.

1. TERESA GIUDICE MUST BE SEVERED FROM JOE GIUDICE TO PRESERVE HER CONSTITUTIONAL  RIGHT  TO TESTIFY  ON HER OWN BEHALF

As set forth in Teresa' s Memorandum in support of her pretrial motions, the Court should sever the trials of Teresa and Joe Giudice to protect her two basic trial rights.   Severing the trials is justified to protect Teresa' s rights to: 1) testify on her own behalf, and 2) not testify against her husband. United States v. Dobson. Teresa will be prevented from the protection of both rights if she has to choose between them.

As the courts in Dobson and Ali correctly held, if a spouse such as Teresa chose to testify as to her innocence , it may inculpate her husband.  Thus, she is placed in the position of choosing to testify on her own behalf, or not testifying at all . This result is improper, and warrants severance of the trial.

Additionally, should the Court proceed with a joint trial, Joe will likely invoke his Fifth Amendment constitutional right and forego testifying, despite likely exculpatory testimony that he and others, not Teresa, signed various loan documents. If the trials were severed, Joe could testify in Teresa' s defense. This scenario fits squarely within the considerations set forth by the courts cited above.

The evidence at trial will show that almost  all of the loans acquired by the Giudices had been paid off, long before the bankruptcy petition was filed. Specifically, the evidence will show the following:

Loan 1: 81 Marshall: Homecomings: September 2001:  paid off prior to bankruptcy;

Loan 2: 58-60 Highland: Eastern American: June 2004: Paid off prior to bankruptcy;

Loan 3: 66 Belmont: Alterna: March 2005: Paid off prior to bankruptcy;

Loan 4: 105-197 Governor: Washington Mutual: July 2005: Paid off prior to bankruptcy;

Loan 5: 12 Wauchaw Road: Park Avenue: November 2005: Paid off prior to bankruptcy;

TERESA GIUDICE ADMITS THAT SHE'S PRIVATELY FALLING APART BECAUSE OF FRAUD INDICTMENT!

teresa-giudice-abc-news

In case you haven't heard Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice are in big time trouble and face a mounting 41-count federal indictment for several different types of fraud.

In light of her legal woes, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, whose troubles will be featured on the upcoming season, insists she's staying strong and trying to make the best of a bad situation for the time being. “I can’t just be upset and crawl up in a ball and just go in a room and —  and lock the door.  I can’t.  I’m a mom.  I have four daughters,” Teresa tells ABC News.

Teresa does admit that it's hard to get through the day, however, and in private she is falling apart. "I would be lying to say I didn’t, you know, that’s not happening,” she shares. The hardest part, she says, is "my kids going through this." Should have thought of that BEFORE, you know, lying and defrauding! "I'm a role model for them," Teresa explains. A role model of what NOT to do!

“My oldest does know something’s going on," Teresa confesses of Gia, 13, being aware. "But — you know, we say, you know, ‘Mommy and daddy, you know, have a legal team that’s handling it.'"

As for why she's kept quiet in the media about the intricacies of the case, Teresa says she's not permitted to discuss the details just yet! “I would love to answer all your questions and one day I will.  But, you know, out of respect of the process, I’m going to let, you know, the legal matters play out in court.”

Interestingly Teresa claims the show did not "pressure" her to exaggerate her wealth. "I don't try to keep up with the Joneses," she states. Nope, only the Gorgas! In real life, Teresa insists, "I'm very low-key. I try to put my best foot forward; I try to be who I am."

Teresa also says the situation is making her marriage better than ever – despite newly emerging rumors of Joe cheating! “No rumor is ever going to come between us,” Teresa maintains. “And, you know, if anything, through all this it’s made us stronger. I’m grateful for that.”

Joe is also adamant that the couple will fight this together – and he is sticking to his story that Teresa was uninvolved in the fraudulent dealings.

"You have to. You know, you really have to… I mean, you’ve got to be strong-minded, number one," Joe shares. "If you’re weak, you’re not going to make it." And Joe emphasizes, "One day at a time."  Despite all the heartache the couple is enduring, Joe remains "proud" of Teresa for how she has flourished in her career as a reality star and really built a business for herself. Indeed, Teresa is currently working on her fifth cookbook.

Both Teresa and Joe claim the Fabulicious empire is what they hope will be their legacy. "The reason why we're doing it is for our daughters," Teresa says. "So they can think about their futures and what choices they wanna make in their lives."

As for what we'll see of the legal process on the upcoming season of RHONJ, Teresa admits - not much! "I can't answer any legal questions while filming. And I have to say everyone's been very respectful of that." Teresa also shares that "everything's good" with Joe and Melissa Gorga. "At the end of the day you just bury the hatchet and move on."

I must say, Teresa is looking FAB in the video – new makeup and hair looking flawless. I'm glad she's ditched the Jersey excess where looks are concerned – I guess her crisis PR manager taught her something!

Lady Gaga Reveals Post-'Artpop' Depression: 'I Felt Like I Was Dying'

'I learned that my sadness never destroyed what was great about me'
Lady Gaga got serious recently when asked for the biggest thing she has learned about herself. Rather than a glib answer, she told Harper's Bazaar about the depression she felt – and the tolls it took on her – after the November release of her third album, Artpop. It's a feeling she had hinted at when she vented about feeling betrayed by members of her inner circle at the start of the year.

"I became very depressed at the end of 2013," she said. "I was exhausted fighting people off. I couldn't even feel my own heartbeat. I was angry, cynical and had this deep sadness like an anchor dragging everywhere I go. I just didn't feel like fighting anymore. I didn't feel like standing up for myself one more time—to one more person who lied to me."

Gaga said the only way she was able to break free of the depression was by confronting herself on New Year's Day. She looked in the mirror and warned herself that if she didn't fight she would not survive the slump. "I really felt like I was dying—my light completely out," she said. "I said to myself, 'Whatever is left in there, even just one light molecule, you will find it and make it multiply. You have to for you. You have to for your music. You have to for your fans and your family.'"

Gaga added that she didn't feel like depression was depleting her "talents"; instead it made them harder to find. "I learned that my sadness never destroyed what was great about me," she said. "You just have to go back to that greatness, find that one little light that's left. I'm lucky I found one little glimmer stored away."

So is she happy now? "Today, yes," she told the magazine. And just what would she like her epitaph to be? "She spread love with every invention." Elsewhere in the interview, she discussed kicking an eating disorder and said that she felt critics didn't quite understand her art. Asked for something true about herself that people need to know, she said, "That it's not an act."

A blurb re: Overcoming her ED.
Lady Gaga has always been open about her struggles with substance abuse, but she says there's now one former hardship in her life which she's finally overcome: her eating disorder."I am better with food. I don't have an eating disorder anymore,"
the 27-year-old pop star tells the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar when asked about something she's "better at now" than when she was younger.

X Factor USA Cancelled

0
0

The X Factor is being crossed off Fox’s schedule.

The network is canceling the singing-competition series after three seasons of declining ratings.

The news comes the same day judge and executive producer Simon Cowell announced he would return to the UK version of the show.

Cowell, Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly and FremantleMedia North America president of entertainment Trish Kinane released statements pinning the decision on Cowell deciding to return to the UK series. But Fox had an option to renew X Factor and debated for months whether to bring it back. For awhile, Fox considered renewing the series for a fourth round with fewer hours per week, mirroring a production-tightening move that ABC’s Dancing with the Stars made this fall. The recent season of Factor averaged 7.1 million viewers and a mere 2.3 rating among adults 18-49 on Wednesday nights, including seven days of DVR playback.

“I’ve had a fantastic time over the last 12 years, both on The X Factor and American Idol,” said Cowell in a statement. “And apart from being lucky enough to find some amazing talent on the shows, I have always had an incredible welcome from the American public (most of the time!). Last year, for a number of reasons, I had to make a decision to return to the U.K. version of The X Factor in 2014. So for now, I’m back to the U.K. and I want to thank Fox for being an incredible partner and I also want to thank everybody who has supported my shows. America, I’ll see you soon!

Reilly added: “To all of us at Fox, Simon is more than one of the most prolific TV personalities of our time –he’s part of our family. A consummate showman and partner, there’s no one more passionate or creative than Simon, and we feel so fortunate to have enjoyed such a wonderful, collaborative relationship with him over the past 12 years. Unfortunately, there is no X Factor without Simon Cowell, but we understand and support his decision to focus on the international formats and on the next phase of his personal life. We wish him the very best, and it’s our sincere hope that we work together again soon.”

From the start, X Factor struggled to make a positive impression on U.S. viewers compared to overseas editions. It came across as more cartoonish and manipulative than Idol, with a revolving door of celebrity judges that never seemed to truly connect with both each other and viewers. The show particularly suffered by comparison to NBC’s rival start-up hit The Voice, which started airing a fall edition last season and charmed viewers with its warmly engaging panel of “coaches.” Factor was also blamed by some observers — fair or not — for hastening Idol‘s ratings decline, since it added to the glut of singing competition shows.

Busta Rhymes and Jay Z
Some of the biggest future stars of hip hop converged at a Brooklyn high school. Busta Rhymes, Jay Z and the late Notorious B.I.G attended George Westinghouse Career and Technical Education High School together.
Busta Rhymes told Sway of MTV’s Rapfix Live of days of battling Jay Z in the cafeteria, “One day, somebody came up to me and was like, ‘Yo, Hov is in the cafeteria.’ He was so ill and his arsenal was so long that he had more than what I did. I spit my one rap, and my tank was empty real fast.”

Cameron Diaz and Snoop Dogg
Before rapper Snoop Dogg blasted onto the music scene at 21 years old, he was walking the same halls as another soon-to-be film star at Long Beach Polytechnic High School. Actress Cameron Diaz joked to one-time talk-show host George Lopez about her possible interaction with the rapper. “He was a year older than me…I remember him; he was very tall and skinny. He wore lots of ponytails”. She added, “And I’m pretty sure I bought weed from him.” Lopez later asked Snoop Dogg about Diaz’s statement. He joked, “I might have sold her some of that white-girl weed.”

Zach Braff and Lauryn Hill
Musician Lauryn Hill and actor Zach Braff were more than just schoolmates when they attended Columbia High School in Maplewood, N.J., together. There was quite possibly a friendship between the future Hollywood stars. Braff revealed in a 2006 magazine interview that the duo hung out off school grounds.
“Lauryn Hill did go to my bar mitzvah.” He added, “There was a game called Coke and Pepsi. You’d have a partner, and one person was Coke and the other Pepsi. Depending on what the DJ would yell, you had to run and get on that person’s lap. And Lauryn was my Coke and Pepsi partner.”

Adele, Jessie J, and Leona Lewis
BRIT School in London, a college of performing arts, produced three solid music sensations: Adele, Jessie J, and Leona Lewis.
Adele likened her experience the popular art school to the musical “Fame.” “It was a bit like ‘Fame’ sometimes – you got people doing their ballet stretches and singers having sing-offs.”
Jessie J recalled jam sessions in the cafeteria with Adele, “We used to jam at lunch time and someone would play guitar and we both would just sing.”
