Does Harry Styles have a new lady in his life?
Earlier today, romance rumors hit the web claiming that the 20-year-old One Direction singer had begun dating Pat Benatar's 29-year-old daughter Haley Giraldo.
"They met in Los Angeles last year at a One Direction concert and have seen each other on the sly anytime Harry's been back in town," a source told Star magazine. "They talk almost every day when he's in London and he sends her lots of romantic gifts. They've been trying to keep it on the down-low."

Adding fuel to the romance fire is a Twitter pic that Giraldo shared back in August of her and a girlfriend posing with the Brit boy-banders. She captioned the group shot, "So much fun seeing these cuties of one direction kill it in concert. @Harry_Styles @onedirection @Real_Liam_Payne."
But don't worry 1D fans. Styles and Giraldo are not getting hot and heavy. "It's completely false," a rep for the band tells E! News of the false dating rumors.
And if you need any more proof that the twosome aren't an item, Giraldo took to Twitter to address the romance rumors. "Where do they come up with such crazy stories w zero merit! U keep ur personal life private, and people just make up there own stories!" she wrote earlier today. " "Where do they come up w this s--t and why me ugh," she went on, adding, "Last thing im going to say addressing this. Whoever is spreading lies needs to stop. It's really not ok."
As for the photo of Styles and Giraldo, a source tells E! News, "Haley's mom got her tickets backstage for a One Direction show and that's how she met Harry. It was through the music connections...They weren't hooking up at that time but stayed in regular touch. They are often speaking to one another and they also Skype. There is definitely a connection there."

Meanwhile, Styles has been rumored to be romancing Kendall Jenner. Styles and Jenner have hung out several times, most recently getting cuddly during an Eagles concert in L.A. last month.

Burial At Sea Episode 2 Release Date Annouced

The second chunk of the two-part BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea DLC will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on March 25, developer Irrational Games has announced.

The release date follows a tweet by Irrational Games chief Ken Levine's saying that Burial at Sea Episode 2 would be significantly longer than its predecessor.

Levine said that a completionist player--someone looking to rummage through absolutely everything in BioShock Infinite's take on underwater city Rapture--would take between five and six hours.

That could be enough time to play through Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes three times!

A common complaint from players of Burial at Sea Episode 1 was that it was too short, with many players finishing it off in 90 minutes or less.

"Burial at Sea seems a prime example of the tail wagging the dog, and the result is an adventure with fantastic sights and sounds that don't come together in a meaningful way," said GameSpot's Kevin Van Ord in his 5/10 review of Episode 1. Can Episode 2 bring in a higher score?

Evangeline Lilly Eyed For Female Lead in Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man’

After already tapping Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Michel Pena to star in “Ant-Man,” Marvel is now in early talks with Evangeline Lilly for the female lead.

Edgar Wright is directing the superhero film with Kevin Feige producing. Wright also co-wrote the script with Joe Cornish.

Plot details are still vague, but fans have suspected Wright is taking a different approach. It is unclear who Lilly would be playing, though some insiders say she would play Pym’s (Douglas) daughter and Lang’s love interest.

Pym didn’t have a daughter in the comics but Cornish and Wright could certainly have switched things up in their version by giving him one.

Marvel had no comment.

Production is set to start in April.

Lilly was most recently seen in New Line’s “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.” She is repped by Silver Lining Entertainment.

Critics Of Felicia Day's Hairdo Don't Even Know What She Looks Like

$
0
0

Actress Felicia Day cut her hair a few months ago—this is a thing people noticed, naturally. And thanks to comments and social media, anyone can throw in their two cents about her new look. Thing is, sometimes, those two cents are hilariously misguided and wrong.

The picture above, for example—which was blogged by Felicia Day herself—is supposed to be a before/after shot that compares Day's current haircut to her old haircut. The purpose was to highlight how poor of a choice her haircut is supposed to be (or something). One problem: the first girl isn't even Felicia Day. Um. Not that that stopped people from sharing the image. Day had a sense of humor about it, of course—referencing the people who made the image, she wrote:

I will not credit or point them out, because the BEST THING TO DO is laugh and just block trolls. Giving them attention is exactly what they want. But I had to share the picture because:

THE GIRL ON THE LEFT IS NOT EVEN ME!!! THEY CANT TELL TWO WOMEN APART WHO HAVE THE SAME HAIR COLOR!!!

I was laughing so hard this morning I had to share. I mean…come ON, dudes. It's so obvious.

My boobs are WAY smaller than hers.

Yesterday, Day blogged about her short hair and the disappointment she feels when she thinks about how much people focus on her looks. "The [comments] that confuse and hurt me the most are like this one I got last week: 'Love your videos, will be back when you grow your hair out,'" Day wrote.

"My hair doesn't affect what words come out of my mouth...but he can't see me as anything else, I guess. Guys like him tune in because I'm attractive to them. Without long hair, I'm not attractive to them. Ergo…goodbye. The substance of my work doesn't matter because my looks are the only context they have for me in their lives. And that makes me sad, because I've always tried to be more than that, without screaming it in people's faces," she continued.

The haircut, she clarifies, is not meant to be some political statement, and she doesn't completely blame some commenters for reacting the way they do. Thing is, society has primed people to consider a woman's look as something that is reflective of her work, or perhaps more important than her work. Even when you know a woman's work has merit, her looks can still tint the way you judge her. Hillary Clinton is constantly hounded and criticized when it comes to her hair and fashion sense, for example—people talk a ton about how she styles her hair, how long it is, what she looks like, and so on. Famously, in 2010, after being asked about her fashion sense in an interview, she responded "Would you ever ask a man that?"

She's just one example out of many.

Perhaps commenter Jens Wessling put it best when responding to Day's blog post about her hair:

I've gone back and looked at pictures of you with short hair and pictures of you with long hair, and after considerable consideration, I think you are funny and talented.

ppl are such assholes. there's nothing wrong whatsoever with her haircut.

Is Steve Burton Leaving The Young & The Restless and Heading Back To General Hospital?!

$

Yesterday’s General Hospital episode sparked some fan excitement regarding Steve Burton, who used to play Jason Morgan but is now Dylan McAvoy on The Young and the Restless.

After the infamous Victor Cassadine teased that Jason is very much alive and well (if only in a cryogenic state) and then showed a picture of Burton onscreen, viewers began wondering if the actor is leaving his Genoa City home and returning to Port Charles! But is it true?

The last we saw of Jason he lay on the edge of the pier, bleeding, motionless as Faison kicked him into the freezing water where Jason disappeared! The body was never found.

Fans began buzzing about his status immediately after the episode aired, and when one asked him via Twitter if he’s under contract at Y&R, he set the record straight:

So it looks like the actor won’t be returning to Port Charles. But showing the picture of Jason a very purposeful move on behalf of GH, meaning there’s a chance the character will soon be recast.

George Clooney-Tina Fey plot thickens: 'downright dirty' payback

$

George Clooney is planning "downright dirty" payback for Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's Golden Globes gag about him, already humorously swiping at the women via his "Monuments Men" costar Matt Damon.

Clooney, whose "Gravity" role played nicely into their joke about him rarely dating women his own age, put the women on notice last month following the memorable jape. More recently, he benevolently derided the hosts with stationery that he had made to impersonate Damon.

"I've already started the ball rolling. I used Matt, sorry," Clooney said in a town-hall-style interview for Entertainment Weekly Radio with his "Monuments Men" costars. The interview will air on Friday.

It turns out that Clooney, 52, obtained stationery in Damon's name and sent a letter to Fey as his costar calling them out for the jokes they also made about Damon during the hosting gig. The women, who have long-running rapport with Damon, infamously dubbed him a "garbage" man among the A-listers in attendance. (Incidentally, Clooney did not attend this year's award show.)

"I send her a letter going, 'Dear Tina, Listen..." Clooney said, laughing. "It's 'from' Matt and it says, 'Look, it sounds hypocritical because I laughed about jokes about George and Leo, but that's sort of what people think about them.... But when you call me a garbage man it just seems like low-hanging fruit. It seems like an easy joke. I don't want an apology or anything else. I just want you to know that my kid now calls me 'the garbage man.'"

Following the letter, Damon received an enormous delivery of two fruit baskets last week, with each one bearing a letter signed from Fey and Poehler.

Damon, 43, ever the innocent bystander, recalled the first letter -- marked "1" -- as a long apology letter, saying the women said, "I thought you of all people could take a joke and listen we're both really sorry."

However, the "30 Rock" and "Parks & Recreation" stars, who will be hosting the Golden Globes again next year, were already a step ahead of the guys.

According to Damon, the second letter said, "If by chance you didn't send us that letter and it was from George Clooney, please let him know that you've got to get up a little earlier in the day to fool a couple of girls like this. We're grown-ass comedians."

With that, they told Clooney to step up his game, and he happily obliged.

"She said step it up," Clooney said, "That's the appetizer and what's coming now, the main course, is pretty brutal."

The "main course," so to speak, has already gotten underway, though Clooney didn't elaborate on what the prank will consist of.

"This one is one that I have it in my hotel room set -- taking pictures and stuff -- I'm sitting there like, 'If I do this, this is downright dirty.' I have to think if I'm actually going to do it or not," he said and laughed.

Oh, we hope he does...

For all the fans I pissed off earlier, I bring you some good news.

IN THIS MOMENT Signs With ATLANTIC

Southern California's IN THIS MOMENT has inked a deal with Atlantic following the completion of its contract with Century Media, the independent record label which released the band's first four albums. The group will enter the studio later this month to begin recording the follow-up to its 2012 commercial breakthrough, "Blood". IN THIS MOMENT will once again be working with heavy rock producer extraordinaire Kevin Churko (OZZY OSBOURNE, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, HELLYEAH), and singer Maria Brink couldn't be happier. "He's like a member of the band," she told The Pulse Of Radio. "He's a very vital, important part of IN THIS MOMENT to me. He really works well with me in the studio, he encourages me the right way, he lets me go crazy and then I cry in the studio, 'cause I'm all about really finding that raw, true emotion deep inside of you. He really supports me on the whole journey and he brings the best out in me."

The band is scheduled to start work on the album on February 23, with guitarist Chris Howorth telling Billboard.com that they want their fifth studio effort to be "bigger and better" than "Blood", while "still keeping true to that same vibe."

The group hopes to have a new single ready by the summer and intends either way to have new music available in time for a couple of summer tours that are under consideration.

"Blood" was IN THIS MOMENT's highest-charting album, reaching No. 15 on the Billboard album chart, while the title track became the band's first-ever Top 10 hit at rock radio.

IN THIS MOMENT recently released "Blood At The Orpheum", its first live album, while a DVD of the same concert where the disc was recorded is included in a deluxe reissue of "Blood".

"Blood" has sold 225,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Piers Morgan claims to be a “victim of cisphobia” after Janet Mock perfectly mocks his ignorance

$

Piers Morgan, the CNN host, aired an interview with trans author Janet Mock last night. During the interview, CNN aired a chyron claiming Mock “was a boy until age 18″ and Morgan asked probing questions that implied Mock is somehow lying about her gender identity to people she has dated.

Mixed in a feed full of Twitter spats with his followers over English cricket, Morgan found time to draw a false equivalence between being getting tweeted at and being disrespected for one’s identity, to tell a women’s group to “pipe down,” and strangely to tell Mock that he’d “deal with” her.

Morgan most recently has claimed to have been a “victim of cisphobia” — a term he may well have coined to describe the apparent prejudice of trans people, a historically oppressed group, against cis people, a historically privileged one.

American Idol Contestant's Brother Murdered, Racial Conspiracy near my Hometown

So I live in a town about 90 miles outside of Houston, Texas. Not far from me is a town called Jasper. This town has been known for very racial tensions especially since the dragging death of James Byrd, Jr by three white men back when I was a young girl. It is well known that Jasper is a racist town. I don't know if they are trying to keep this story hush hush or what.

Here is the American Idol contestant, Savion Wright, who is related to the murder victim, Alfred Wright.

Savion-Wright-375

The 21-year-old student from Jasper, Texas, said he had waited eight years to try out for the show because he didn’t think he was creative enough.

Then he showed off his creativity by performing an original song called either “Dark Side of Me” or “Both Sides of Me.”

Regardless of the title, the judges were impressed and unanimously voted to send Savion to Hollywood.

On Twitter, Savion describes himself as a “story-teller, performer, multi-instrumentalist and lover of life. I also sing songs.” Judging from the photo there, he also plays the sax.

He’s also the contestant who told us music is his medicine. He suffers from attention deficit disorder.

THE MURDER CONSPIRACY STORY

Alfred-Wright-3
Alfred Wright, a 28-year-old physical therapist, was on his way to see a patient when his pickup truck broke down in Sabine County, Tex. His wife Lauren alerted his parents who went to help him. When Lauren called him back, all she heard was heavy breathing. She grew frantic and knew he was in distress. She sent texts pleading with him to call her. When his parents arrived on the scene, there was no sign of Alfred. His pickup truck was still parked at the package store, but Alfred was long gone. The store clerk said she saw Alfred, who was dressed in scrubs, but claims after he talked on his cell phone, he stuffed his cell phone in his socks and took off running, of “his own free will.”

Alfred knew help was on this way, so it’s questionable that he’d run off into the woods in a town where racial tension is highly prevalent.

Alfred grew up in Jasper along with his four siblings. His father is a pastor and middle school gym teacher. “Alfred was a man of great faith,” his wife tells CNN. A football player while in college, she goes on to say “he loved his family, was very ambitious and hard working … fun loving and brilliant.”

His family questions the sheriff’s office commitment to finding Alfred when they abruptly halted the search after only four days, saying they’ve exhausted their resources, Alfred would be listed as a missing person and there was no indication of foul play. They even said this case was likely drug related and Alfred ripped off his clothes after having hallucinations.

Alfred’s watch, clothing and his identification were found in the area near where deputies claimed to have searched.

His lifeless body was found 18 days after he went missing in November 2013, the week of Thanksgiving, near Hemphill in Sabine County, Tex. which is 45 minutes away from where “in the pre-dawn hours of June 7, 1998, James Byrd Jr. was walking home in Jasper, when he was stopped by three white men who offered him a ride home. Byrd got in the bed of their pick-up truck, but the men did not take him home. Instead, they drove him to a desolate, wooded road east of town, beat him severely, chained him to the back of the truck by his ankles and dragged him for more than three miles. The murderers drove on for another mile before dumping his torso in front of an African American cemetery in Jasper,” according to the police report.

Tragically, Alfred was found by volunteers and his father. He was stripped to his boxer shorts, wearing only a single sock with his cell phone tucked inside, and both his sneakers. He was missing an ear, two front teeth and his throat was slit. There was not a lot of decomposition in comparison to most bodies found in the elements after 18 days. On November 26, 2013, forensic pathologist John W. Ralston MD, ruled his death “accidental” due to “combined drug intoxication,” in other words, a drug overdose – cocaine, methamphetamine and amphetamines.

The family isn’t buying it because Alfred never used drugs. His family had their own autopsy and the pathologist concluded that he died of severe trauma to the neck and head and a gash across his throat.

The county’s autopsy report didn’t address the cut on his neck or throat area and also went on to report that any damage caused to the body was caused by animal activity, offering no explanation why the cut across his neck was a straight line and why the animals didn’t chew him to the bone after being out in the woods for over 18 days.

Every single day that passes, evidence is lost or destroyed. Please help this family find answers. Alfred took care of his wife and three sons financially and the family is seeking donations, any help is appreciated. Click here to help: Alfred Wright Foundation at GoFundMe.

Houston Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, senior member of the House Judiciary and Homeland Security Committees, recently announced “the Department of Justice will investigate and take appropriate action and will conduct a thorough and independent investigation into all the circumstances surrounding this tragedy and to take appropriate action necessary to vindicate the federal interest, protect the civil rights of all Americans, ensure that all persons receive equal justice under law.

“We are all better off when the facts are discovered, the truth is discerned and the family and the community are at peace.”

Dylan Farrow Speaks Out About Her Woody Allen Allegations – and the Backlash

$

0

It was a letter she wished she never had to write, about something she says she wished had never happened.

Dylan Farrow says it took all the courage she had to finally pen the emotional open letter she sent to the New York Times detailing her claim that her adoptive father, Woody Allen, had sexually molested her as a child, she exclusively tells PEOPLE.

"It took all of my strength and all of my emotional fortitude to do what I did this week in the hope that it would put the truth out there," says Dylan, 28, now a happily married writer. "That is my only ammunition. I don't have money or publicists or limos or fancy apartments in Manhattan. All I have is the truth and that is all I put out there."

When she spoke out for the first time about the allegations of abuse in Vanity Fair's October issue, her comments were overshadowed by the revelation that her brother Ronan, 26, might be the biological child of Frank Sinatra instead of Allen, which left her feeling "that no one cared," says a family friend.

Dylan says she thought long and hard about coming forward with her story in her own words. In her Feb. 1 letter, she expounded on the allegations she made in Vanity Fair, saying, "For as long as I could remember, my father had been doing things to me that I didn't like."

Allen, 78, has vehemently denied any abuse, with his rep telling PEOPLE, "Mr. Allen has read the article and found it untrue and disgraceful."

Throughout a criminal investigation and bitter custody battle in 1992 and 1993, Allen maintained that he never molested Dylan and accused Dylan's mother, Mia Farrow, of coaching Dylan to repeat a false story. Farrow has always emphatically denied that.

In the end, Allen was never charged with molestation. In what was deemed a controversial move, then-Connecticut state's attorney Frank S. Maco announced in 1993 that while he found "probable cause" to prosecute Allen, he was dropping the case because Dylan was too "fragile" to deal with a trial that would further "traumatize" her. Mia, 68, agreed with the decision, he said. But a panel of investigators from Yale-New Haven Hospital consulted during the investigation concluded that Dylan confused fantasy with reality and had not been abused.

Answering Her Critics

Dylan says she knew she would be taking on one of the most powerful and esteemed forces in Hollywood. Indeed, some of Allen's defenders claim she wrote the letter – during awards season, no less – to sabotage her father, whose film Blue Jasmine is nominated for three Oscars. Others have said she wrote it to vindicate her mother. (Mia did not see the piece before it ran, a family friend says.)

"I've been hearing that a lot," says Dylan. "I'm happy to answer that. My intention in writing that piece was to put the truth on paper from a voice that was not able to speak before."

"People are saying that I am not actually remembering what I remember. People are saying that my 'evil mother' brainwashed me because they refuse to believe that my sick, evil father would ever molest me, because we live in this society where victim blaming and inexcusable behavior – this taboo against shaming the famous at the expense of their victims – is accepted and excused."

Her Turning Point

A turning point for her came on Jan. 12, the night of the Golden Globes, when Woody Allen received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement, which his longtime friend, Diane Keaton, accepted on his behalf.

Dylan says that she had wanted to share her side of the story for a long time. But, she tells PEOPLE, "After the Golden Globes, my brother Ronan showed immense bravery for standing up for the family and I realized it was my turn to stand up and to tell the truth."

On Jan. 12, Ronan Tweeted, "Missed the Woody Allen tribute – did they put the part where a woman publicly confirmed he molested her at age 7 before or after Annie Hall?"

Dylan says she knew the letter would draw "backlash."

"I knew there were people saying I was a liar and that this was part of some smear campaign – some bitter vendetta of my mother's," she says. But, she adds, "I didn't realize that it was going to be a betrayal of this magnitude."

'My Brother Has Broken My Heart'

That betrayal, she says, came when her brother Moses Farrow, 36, spoke out to PEOPLE this week. Moses, now a family therapist, says Allen never molested Dylan and that Mia poisoned the children against their father.

Dylan spoke to PEOPLE shortly after she learned what her brother had said. Clearly anguished, she sobbed as she said, "My brother has broken my heart. Moses divorced himself from the family a long time ago. I always missed him. I loved him and I kept him in my thoughts. These lies – this betrayal – is unfathomable to me coming from a brother I loved and cherished and grew up with," she said.

"I'm sorry," she said, apologizing for crying. "I'm shaking right now."

She paused, regained her composure and said, "He has betrayed me in the cruelest way imaginable, and betrayed my family and my mother who has loved him since day one. His betrayal is the lowest form of evil that I could ever imagine."

Moses and Dylan, who were both adopted by Allen and Farrow, and their brother Ronan were at the center of a 1993 custody battle in which both sides testified about Allen's affair with Farrow's adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn, whom Allen went on to marry in 1997. Farrow was awarded custody of Moses, Dylan and Ronan.

None of what Moses said is true, maintains Dylan. "It's lies. It's all lies." She stands by her letter, saying, "My memories are true. What happened to me as a little girl ... is my cross to bear. But I will not see my family dragged down like this. I can't stay silent when my family needs me."

She says there was a time when she adored her father."Part of the reason why it was so hard for me to write the piece that I wrote was because once upon a time I loved my father so much."

Dylan says that when her mother heard the contents of Moses's letter, "She was stunned. She couldn't believe that he betrayed her and me and the family like this. Her reaction is on par with mine."

Farrow, who declined to respond to Moses's accusations, Tweeted, "I love my daughter. I will always protect her. A lot of ugliness is going to be aimed at me. But this is not about me, it's about her truth."

A Greater Goal

Amid the sadness she feels over her shattered family and childhood memories that continue to haunt her are moments of happiness and normalcy. While she spoke to PEOPLE, her husband stood in the background, comforting her.

She says she and her husband met through an ad on The Onion. "And we have been in love ever since. Yesterday was the anniversary of our first date. It's been seven years."

"He is the most wonderful man in the world. When they say living well is the best revenge – I have that. My conscience is clean. I have told the truth. I cannot say the same for Moses."

She also has her family, who she says has always been there for her. "I love my family so much. We are a strong family. We are a loving family. We are a brave family. We are fighters. I love my mother so much."

She hopes her open letter will help sexual abuse victims come forward and seek help.

"I am hoping to help at least one person out there. And that's why I spoke out."

I'm going to buy my first copy of People since I was a tween, for this.

The 21 year-old actor next stars opposite Benicio del Toro in the indie movie “Paradise Lost”

CAA has signed “The Hunger Games” star Josh Hutcherson, who recently parted ways with ICM Partners, an agency insider has told TheWrap.

Hutcherson left ICM in January after feeling “it was time for a change,” according to sources. He took meetings with the other major agencies before deciding to sign with powerhouse talent agency CAA.

The 21 year-old actor is set to reprise his role as Peeta Mellark in Lionsgate’s two-part franchise finale “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay,” though his lucrative deals for those sequels were made by ICM Partners.

“The Hunger Games” isn’t Hutcherson’s only franchise, as he also stars alongside Dwayne Johnson in New Line’s “Journey” movies.

Hutcherson was a child actor whose breakout turn as Laser in “The Kids Are All Right” helped propel him to stardom. He’ll soon be seen in the indie movie “Paradise Lost,” which co-stars Benicio del Toro as drug kingpin Pablo Escobar.

Bad news for believers in Parks and Recreation and the good of humankind: The lock Ben and Leslie attached to Paris’ Pont des Arts bridge in the show’s 100th episode has disappeared.

Ben surprises Leslie with a trip to Paris after her last day in office, and once there, they snap the lock (reading “LESLIE AND BEN” with a bright red heart) to the bridge. We all thought it would stay forever until a Tumblr post first alerted the world to the disappearance.
