Michael Clifford (the guitar player from the band 5sos) recently announced on social media that he and long time girlfriend Crystal Leigh are engaged.

Many of you may remember 5sos as being the Australian band that blocked Jay Z and Beyonce's join album Everything Is Love in first week sales as well as their infamous Rolling Stone interview that got them roasted on social media for the casual sexism and overall grotesque behavior and comments.

Michael and Crystal have been together for 3 years.

Roswell lifts off to good ratings for premiere

-Roswell, New Mexico a reboot/re-adaption started off its series run to pretty good ratings (for the CW). It premiered to 1.54 million viewers and a 0.4 demo rating, up from Black Lightnings ratings average this season 1.04/0.3.





-She first started hearing about talks about a reboot on the streets and went on to hear the pitch for the show. While there are plenty of nods to the original series this is more in line with the book series and they really went on to make it their own.

-She takes it as a compliment and is flattered that the OG Roswell was loved enough for someone to want to reboot the series.

-Wants fans of the original to give this new version a chance and be supportive.

-Will be directing the 9th episode of the series which is supposed to be a really big episode and something perfect for OG Liz to direct.

-Thinks that her Liz/Max probably have lots of kids nowadays while still running from Valenti.




-She fought for the show to explore real word bigotry and deal with what is going on in todays world.

-Didnt get any network feedback when refrencing Trump in the pilot but did get some pushback from the network about an upcoming Paul Ryan joke where they suggest that Ryan is an alien.

-In this version of Roswell, Alex is gay and Michael will be bi-sexual. There isnt enough bi representation so she wanted to make sure to include filled that gap.

-Didnt want the show to fall into the same old "bury your gays trope" though Alex/Michael wont have a happy ending and their relationship wont be an easy one.

-Max, Isobel and Michael relationship with one another is unhealthy and very co-dependent. The show will explore their connection and siblingship with one another.

-She originally had planned Nathan Parsons to play Michael but when they needed one more person to read for Max, she asked him to go in to fill the void and ended up loving him in the role.

No mention of Maria.

Comedian Sasheer Zamata takes awful Louis C.K. jokes and makes them better.

Last month, part of disgraced comedian Louis C.K.'s recent set was leaked, showing him making fun of Parkland shooting survivors. Decent people were outraged. Last week at a show in Los Angeles, Saturday Night Live alum Sasheer Zamata decided she would take Louis C.K.'s jokes and use them to remind the world that Louis C.K. is not funny, and is actually trash. In response to his joke about Parkland, Zamata said:

"He says that the survivors of the shootings shouldn’t be spending their time talking to Congress about gun control. Instead they should be ‘finger-fucking’ each other. But who’s to say they’re not? They can do both! They’re teenagers — of course they’re finger-fucking each other! They just know how to separate sex from work, which I understand is a hard concept for Louis to grasp. Which is ironic, because we all know how much Louis loves to grasp hard concepts."


Despite coming for C.K., Zamata does defend a comedian's right to say whatever they want on stage though, as long as it's actually a joke:

"You can’t just get up onstage and say blatantly racist, transphobic, victim-blaming statements without a punch line! Like, who are you — all of our uncles?"

On the place she had in the group, her insecurities, frustrations and being the least followed on social media:“So many sessions, I would cry like I’ve never cried before. It was a ­subconscious thing. You think, ‘Why am I the least followed in the group?’ Even if you don’t recognize that you’re paying close attention to it, it takes a toll on your confidence. You worry -- is it me? Is it because I’m black? Or am I just not talented?”

On who will be the most successful solo:“Honestly? I’m in such an amazing place that I don’t feed into any of that. I’m way too blessed to even allow myself to focus on that. This is my time. Just like [Cabello] had an amazing run. I am so proud of everything that she’s doing. She’s nominated for a freaking Grammy! Like, that is amazing. And all from what girl group? Fifth Harmony. Like, that shit’s fire. And I know that all of us are more than capable of doing that. I’ve come to believe that I am that talented. Before, I didn’t wholeheartedly believe that.”

She also mentions that she worked with Daniel Caesar and teased studio time with Misssy Elliott

Watch the First Teaser for Jason Reitman’s ‘Ghostbusters’ Sequel

Sony Pictures released a first look at the upcoming movie which is a sequel to the 1984 film. The footage shows a just a glimpse of Ecto-1.

The studio had announced on Tuesday (ONTD post here) that there will be another “Ghostbusters” installment, most likely in the summer of 2020.

Reportedly the franchise is a priority for the studio, despite the disappointment over its 2016 reboot of “Ghostbusters”.

Perhaps because of that, this installment has no connection to the 2016 movie.

Katy Perry revealed on Instagram that she was suspended from school (Santa Barbara Christian School) in 6th grade for humping a tree, pretending it was Tom Cruise.

Here is the text on the letter she posted:

"At the 2:00 p.m. recess, Katy and four other students were in an 'off-limits' area (behind the backboards) practicing a skit. Katy pretended that a tree was Tom Cruise and began making sexual motions (pelvic thrusts) to the tree. When Katy met with Mrs. Calkins, Mr. White, and myself, she was asked to describe or demonstrate what she had been seen doing on the playground in front of some other students. Katy chose to describe it. Her words were 'it was inappropriate' and 'like making out.' This suspension comes after she several incidents and a clear warning in a previous conference. On October 17, she was called into my office to discuss her use of inappropriate language ('pissed off' and calling 3rd grades 'brats') and using the Lord's name in vain (saying, 'oh my God'). "She has also admitted being previously involved in playing 'Spin the Bottle' and 'Truth or Dare'which resulted in students kissing on the cheek. She was told then that any more inappropriate behaviour would result in a suspension.

"Katy was seen by two teachers recently outside their classrooms doing the Macarena dance in which she made body motions with sexual overtones (described by one teacher as being 'like an exotic dancer'. "

"Katy has been cited twice for wearing 'crop tops' with her midriff showing. Mrs. Hudson has assured me it won't happen again."

Actor Joe Alwyn recently gave an interview with fashion outlet Mr. Porter where he talked about privacy, his relationship with Taylor Swift, and some of his movie roles.

When asked if he's playing a slaveholder in an upcoming Harriet Tubman movie he responded: “I am. I’m not playing Harriet, not this time”.

When the interviewer brought up that Joe's short resume already includes him playing a Nazi, a slaveholder, and a rapist he said:
“I mean, I don’t feel like they’re just bad, bad people.” “And I do think it’s interesting to look at the bigger picture of why people are the way they are.”

- Bill "the guy who plays the clown" Skarsgård and Sharp Objects star Eliza Scanlen have joined the Antonio Campos (The Sinner, Christine) adaptation of The Devil All The Time, which will be distributed by Netflix.
- Skarsgård and Scanlen join a cast that includes Tom Holland, Chris Evans, Mia Wasikowska, Robert Pattinson and Gabriel Ebert.
- Campos is co-writing the script with Paulo Campos, based on the novel by Donald Ray Pollock.
- Plot Summary: Out of desperation to save his dying wife, Willard Russell turns to prayer, which succumbs to sacrifice. This sets Willard’s son Arvin on his path from bullied kid to a man who knows when to take action.
- Production starts next month in Alabama.
