- While a criminal investigation may be reopened, Asante McGee and Lizette Martinez from the docuseries Surviving R. Kelly recall their encounters with R. Kelly, describing him as 'dismissive' of women and children, and an abuser. Martinez was only 17 when she believed Kelly would offer mentorship in a musical career.

- Yesterday Lady Gaga posted an apology online amidst the release of the docuseries in reference to her 2013 collaboration with R. Kelly, calling the collaboration indefensible and expressing she stands by the survivors of sexual assault. McGee appreciated Gaga's words saying "I actually smiled. I was like, 'thank you'" while Martinez added "that was really powerful of her."

- McGee was invited to live with R. Kelly for a month only to enter a nightmare, but believes his time is finally up and that he'll have to face the music.

- Just last night, R. Kelly celebrated his 52nd birthday with many adoring fans gathered to his event.

One of the commentators included in the R. Kelly documentary was journalist Touré Neblett. He is quite familiar with the allegations Kelly has faced throughout his career and in 2008, interviewed R. Kelly for BET, and as seen in the documentary.

Touré then appeared in a podcast to discuss the documentary and the aftermath of the series. In the comments of a promotional clip of the podcast, a make-up artist who goes by Dani, accused the journalist of sexually harassing her on a show they used to work on together. She posted screenshots (at the source) of him apologizing to her in 2017 and told Essence

“He went on Hot97 to talk about Harvey Weinstein (after he apologized). I accepted his apology and was ok to move on but, you can’t be a sexual predator and go around shaming other predators,” she said.

Essence reached out to his employer Time Inc., which issued a statement saying they do not discuss personnel matters, but stated Touré is no longer employed at the company.

Terry Crews was set to appear on his podcast hours before the Brooklyn Nine-Nine premiere on NBC but cancelled after the allegations surfaced.

OP’s dumbass problematic fave, Thom Yorke, who composed the score for Luca Guadagnino’s remake of Suspiria is not showing up to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because he’s bougie and attending the Paris Philharmonic even though that event is nine days after the Hall of Fame ceremony in New York. (See? Bougie.) His score was not shortlisted for the Academy Awards, but the song “Suspirium” was shortlisted by the Academy for Best Original Song. Yorke, who has often shirked awards in the past does hope that he gets an Oscar nomination due to working on the score for a year and a half.

Some unreleased songs for Yorke’s Suspiria score will be released on limited edition vinyl that quickly sold out and OP will be forever upset that she missed out. However some copies will be available in some select record stores. Yorke recently wrapped up his solo tour in December.

A B-side to Radiohead’s 2016 album A Moon Shaped Pool, “Ill Wind” was released today on all major streaming services and available to download.

'The Upside', the American adaptation of the critically-acclaimed French movie 'The Intouchables' (watch that instead), kicked off this weekend's box office with $1.1 million on Thursday in 2,460 screenings across US/Canada. The movie was filmed YEARS ago and finally got release - who knows why now - and stars Kevin Hart, Bryan Cranston, and Nicole Kidman.

Two other movies that opened on Thursday include the family feature 'A Dog's Way Home', which brought in $535,000 at 2,657 screens, and Keanu Reeves' latest 'Replicas' ($30M budget), which made a terrible $200,100 from 1,630 theaters.

But these new releases matter not as Warner Bros.''Aquaman' is expected to top the box office for the fourth week in a row, making around $15M-$20M and finally breaking the $1 billion mark internationally. 'The Upside' ($30M–$35M budget) and 'A Dog's Way Home' ($18M budget) will vie for the second spot, both expected to make around $10M each.

Swelling is normal during pregnancy because the body produces more blood and body fluids for the baby.
