'Mary Poppins Returns' cast to receive Ensemble Performance Award at 2019 Palm Springs Film Festival

Inexplicably, the cast of 'Mary Poppins Returns' will be receiving the Palm Springs International Film Festival's Ensemble Performance Award during the festival's gala on January 3rd. It's a bit odd given all the meh to trash reviews the film's been getting for everything and everyone outside of star Emily Blunt.

Others receiving accolades at this year's PSIFF include:

The Highest Earning Box Office Actor of 2018 is Letitia Wright

By virtue of being in Black Panther (still the highest grossing movie stateside this year), Avengers: Infinity War (#2), The Commuter, and Ready Player One (apparently), Letita Wright. Her total is 1.55$ billion in revenue!

In second place includes other MCU costars Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Chadwise Boseman, and Sebastian Stan, all of whom were also in Black Panther.

Third, fourth, and fifth place has Samuel L Jackson, Chris Pratt, and Josh Brolin, all in Infinity War.

I think we should get #IgerBetterHaveMyMoney trending.

5. The Kissing Booth

It's Netflix's most watched film and even tho The Kissing Booth is a cringe-worthy, predictable cheese-fest, it's a very enjoyable cringe-worthy, predictable cheese-fest. The Kissing Booth centers on 14-year-old Elle Evans (Joey King) who falls hard for her best friend's bad boy older brother. The entire movie basically plays out like 13-year-old wish fulfillment, which is cool for everyone who's still mentally 13 years old. (Basically half the world). Anyway, it's 'Never Been Kissed' vibes makes this a quite enjoyable romcom.

4. Set It Up

Set It Up became one of the most talked-about movies of the summer, exploding conversation about the rom-com renaissance. Glenn Powell and Zoey Deutch together were amazing as assistants so desperate to escape their overbearing bosses that they team up to get them together. (shout out to Lucy Liu for being an incredible scene stealer).

3. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

TATBILB went nuclear this year and a second part has already been greenlighted. Lana Condor and Noah Centineo have become household names and future stars. While the story is nowhere new (boy and girl pretend to be in a relationship and fall in love for realsies), their chemistry and realness makes this a must watch. Also, 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before' was the second-most rewatched Netflix Film of the year.

2. Crazy Rich Asians

Rachel has no idea that her boyfriend Nick comes from one of the wealthiest families in Asia, but she's in for a rude awakening when she travels to Singapore to meet them at his cousin's over-the-top wedding—and butts heads with his impressive yet intense mother. Nothing new plotwise there but CRA started breaking ground when it became the first asian-american wide distributed film in the world. But things got better when it turned out it was actually incredibly good. It had an incredible cast; great, smart and funny writing and heartbreaking perfomances, that set up Constance Wu to be a HUGE star in years to come. CRA is one of the best things to happen to cinema this year and romcoms overall

1. Love Simon

2018 was the year RomComs started exploring new grounds and 'Love Simon' became a movement when it premiered for actually...being just another one in the bunch. It was your typical RomCom and that's what made it so great. It took the controversial narrative of films like 'Call Me By Your Name' and made it the new normal with LGBTQ humans. While it wasn't a juggernaut box office wise (it was the first wide distributed LGBTQ RomCom, so no one was expecting it to be), it truly made an impact on LGBTQ people because of how close to home it hit. 'Love Simon' caused a lot of people to come out to their love ones (including stars Joey Pollari, Keiynan Lonsdale and Nick Robinson's brother.), people were doing massive rewatches for the film, Jennifer Garner earned our hearts back again for that 'you get to exhale now' scene that represented what any LGBTQ person has ever wanted to hear, and the film took Shelter's place as the go-to feel-good gay film of the community... something much needed nowadays.

Allison Mack Lawyers: If Scientology Can Blackmail People, So Can She

Lawyers for Smallville actress Allison Mack, who is charged with sex trafficking and forced labor conspiracy for her role in running the alleged sex cult NXIVM, are using Scientology to argue in court that the forced labor charges against her should be dropped.

Their argument is that Mack's threats to publicly release nude photos of women and cut them off from their friends if they tried to leave NXIVM do not rise to the level of serious harm based on a 2009 court ruling against a couple who tried to sue Scientology for forced labor. That ruling said that “the threat of reputational damage and isolation from loved ones...did not qualify as serious harm.”

Mack's lawyers also argued that true victims of sex trafficking and forced labor are those who experience “squalid living conditions, extreme isolation, threats of physical harm, lack of immigration status, lack of education, and unfamiliarity with English" while NXIVM's members were “educated, English-speaking adults, who were not forced or compelled to join the organization, nor kept physically isolated."

Netflix Stops Calling Thanos a Sociopath Due to Escalating Fan Backlash

Netflix referred to Thanos as a "intergalactic sociopath" in their description for 'Avengers: Infinity War'. This lead to backlash from fans with many arguing that Thanos was being misrepresented. Netflix quietly changed the summary and described Thanos as being "Invader. Annihilator. So-called savior."

Lisa Origliasso, now known as Lisa Huffman since her marriage to V actor Logan Huffman, has posted an instragram call out after she received a dildo a few days after her wedding with the missive eat a dick.





The caption read as follows; I am choosing to speak out & put this here in hopes to disempower the person who has continued to torment me and my family for the past 2 years.

This might come as a shock. But I am choosing to speak out publicly because I want other people going through anything like this to know they are not alone. Harassment, intimidation, bullying & abuse is not okay. Just because I haven’t spoken out about it doesn’t mean it’s not happening. It’s dangerous to one’s wellbeing to continue to endure private and public harassment, while being viewed as “attention seeking” for speaking out.

This package showed up addressed to me days after my wedding. And is just one of the countless ways this person has chosen to intimidate, harass (and now sexually harass) and hurt me. I want to make it clear that this has been happening exclusively over the past 2 years. Publicly & not so publicly, anonymously & not so anonymously.

From floods of abuse via texts, emails, a shocking amount of fake social media accounts having the same unprovoked episodic tirade of abuse, created purely to leave hate, spread lies about me, and defame my character and name.

My social pages and emails have been relentlessly hacked. It’s hard to fathom this type of harmful & obsessive behaviour.

Why am I writing this publicly? Because I won’t be compliant in silence anymore. The person knows time is up. They have taken protection in their celebrity & social platform for long enough.

I stayed quiet for concern for my sister’s safety in the presence of this person, but that is being handled on a legal platform now.

A year ago I gave legal written notice to this person to cease the harassment and defamation. It changed only to a private platform, and hidden harassment. And before anyone wants to doubt my integrity or say this is for publicity – understand I gain nothing out of this situation.

My sister, my Mum’s health, my career & my relationship deserve protection now. I will not stand by while people protect and placate an abuser’s public reputation at the expense of mine and my family’s safety & peace.

For anyone going through this too, never be afraid to speak up. And please seek help. God is watching.

DC Universe's Titans: All The Reshoots Explained

Titans saw significant alterations. Characters drop in and out of focus, arcs aren't quite resolved, and there are a few moments that are confusing rather than effective.
Titans was subjected to extensive reshoots, which cut an original 13-episode first season down to just 11 episodes.
The story seems to have been compressed and refocused. The original season finale has been "cannibalized" to become the season 2 premiere. 

• the reshoots led to an increased focus on Brenton Thwaites' Dick Grayson, strengthening his character arc and essentially making him the star of the show. This change in focus made Batman the main villain of Titans season 1.

• the Trigon plot, which was ostensibly the A-plot of the entire season, was compressed and ultimately left unresolved.
there's some evidence he was defeated in the original season finale.

• early episodes titled 'Starfire' and 'Rachel' were cut down into a single episode, 'Origins'.

• 'Asylum' was originally called 'Angela', suggesting a bigger focus on Raven's mother, which makes sense with an original focus more centered on Trigon. 

• Beast Boy's seems to have been truncated; he's almost entirely absent from the first few episodes, there was an extended subplot building up to 'Doom Patrol', which was originally episode 5 but got moved forward.

- After a 10-hour flight to Australia, Cardi covered her face upon landing & didn't speak - which angered the mobbing paparazzi.
- Paps were warned to follow the rules & not mob.
- In a later Insta-live, Cardi said she felt "sickened" with the undertones when a "white male" paparazzo shouted in response, "You're in Australia now! You're playing by our rules. Let's be clear on that!."
- They continued taunting: "Why the blanket, Cardi? Having an identify crisis or something? Give us a picture!"
- She said of the incident: "It don't sit well with me when a white man tells me that shit."

- A white woman with a camera also asked to take a photo with Cardi, but was rebuffed by her entourage.
- That woman then insulted Cardi: "No wonder your husband left you!"
- Cardi's publicist Patience went off on the woman.
- Cardi later said she was uncomfortable when the woman started to "act like the victim" with exaggerated mannerisms.
- "We be looking like fucking animals because people provoke you and say vile shit... Is that how you see colored people?"

- "I just want to go home."
- She wanted her mom to fly to Australia for New Year's but was glad she didn't.

- Australian headlines accused her of having a "diva tantrum", "covering her head"&"snapping at photographers".

ONTD Orginal: 10 Best Levels in Platform Game

Hello, my ONTD

I have been promising you guys this post for a while now but stuff happens.  Anyway...lets get started!  :D



1) Raymen Legend:  Castle Rock
WHile all of the final stage levels of this game were gems, my favorite has to go to Castle Rock (second place go to Eye of the Tiger).  The music matching to your moves were prefection.  It is a level that I played several times...even after I got the little tinsys.


2)  Sonic 2:  Casino Night Zone
I will always have a soft spot for Sonic even if the latest games have been trash.  I remember when I was a young girl being engrossed by this level.  The lights and the music totally stole my heart.


3) Gex 2:  Enter the Gecko (Kung-Fu Theatre)
Orignally, this was my brother's game until I stole it.  (I regret nothing.)  This game was fun with gex and his hilarious comments.  The exploration and the platform elements were blast too  The kung-fu level was my favorite.



4)Ratchet and Clank:  A Crack in Time (Krell Canyon)
I adore these games like nothing else.   To see Ratchet and Clank's friendship evolve from the game to game, it has break my heart...put back together and ultimately, warm it.  It was hard to choose a level from this series.  I choose Krell Canyon for the amount time that I tried to get the skill point and bolt harvesting for the R.Y.N.O weapon. On that note: (Okay, Insomanic...finish this series already)


5) Sypro (Misty Bog)
I am not going to lie...I played all of these games and I couldn't remember a single level.  (Sorry, ONTD)  The only level that I could remember had bog in its name.  So, with the help of youtube, I find the level that I remembered.    After watching the video, I am still not quite sure why I remember this stage.  XD


6)Crash Bandicoot 2:  Bear Down
Crahs Brandicoot is probably one of my favorite platformers for the Playstation.  I am totally not going to tell you how much time I spent collecting crystal, metals, etc to complete levels in this wacky trilogy.  So why this level?  Bear down left biggest impression on me as a kid since suddenly, you aren't in jungles or caves anymore but white snow with a cute little polar bear.


7) Super Mario Bros 3
If I could, I would do a post just for the super mario bros series (if ONTD wants one, I can totally do it).  I remember the first level that I got this suit....and started running...I went holy cookies...I can fly now.  I also have a soft spot for the haunted level as well.


8) Wario Land
I actually debated about putting any of spin offs here due to the amount of them.  Guess what?  My list.  I decided to add Wario Land.  I played this game multiple times...it was so much fun.  While youtube didn't have sections of this game, I remember loving the castle level.  It was one of my first games that I got for my Game Boy....also the game that I lost when my brother threw my gameboy into the toilet.  :( RIP game.

9)  Kirby's Super Adventure
This is only Kirby game that I ever played...I truly love it.  Kirby was cute and totally enjoy the platform elements.  The bosses were a blast to face.


10) Mickey Mouse's World of Illusion (Wonderland)
Wait...what is this?  This game was one of the first games that me and my brother played together since we could play as Donald and Mickey.  I enjoy this game until the last stage when we go through all of those damn rooms.  My favorite level was the Wonderland level.
