Researcher Morten Bay in his study Weaponizing The Haters: The Last Jedi and the strategic politicization of pop culture through social media manipulation, examined the reaction to 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' on social media. In his studies, Bay discovered that approximately 50.9% percent of negative response on Twitter was from non-automated accounts while only 21.9% was from verified human accounts.
“The likely objective of these measures is increasing media coverage of the fandom conflict, thereby adding to and further propagating a narrative of widespread discord and dysfunction in American society,” theorized Bay. “A number of these users appear to be Russian trolls.”

In July, Pete Davidson deleted all his photos from his Instagram and announced he was taking a break from social media after the backlash he and his fiancée received.
Following the Saturday Night Live season premiere, Davidson returned to Instagram and posted a Polaroid of himself with the caption, “hooray romano.”
Ariana Grande commented twice under his post, writing “where the mixtape” followed by “this is sick and ur page looks cool never post again.”
Over at Grande's Instagram, Davidson posted his own comment on her latest photo and post. “Hot. All the ones you posted with me not online are hot. Love ya. Bye for another 3 months,” he writes. Grande responded with, “Good thing ur sitting next to me and I see u every second and nothing important happens online that I don't show u anyway. Bye. Ily.”

Remy Ma was on Revolt's State of the Culture, and when the topic turned to Bill Cosby's sentencing (he's serving three to 10 years in state prison for the sexual assault of Andrea Constand), she stated that a "Young Bill was very woke", and that she didn't believe all 60+ of his accusers were telling the truth.
When Joe Budden directly asked her if she was defending Bill Cosby, Remy stated "I'm defending people who have been done wrong by the system, and by people that lie, and by people that go on bandwagons."
"That man is 82 years old. [He] didn't even look like he knew what was going on in that court."
In her closing statements, she reiterated that if she was violated, she would say something. And women need to do the same.

Former Survivor contestant/Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D & Chuck writer Rafe Judkins will be the showrunner adapting the book to series. Robert Jordan’s widow Harriet McDougal is a consulting producer. Author Robert Jordan passed away in 2007.

Amazon said it would increase minimum pay to $15 an hour starting next month for full-time, part-time and seasonal workers as well as those hired by temporary staffing agencies. The pay of workers already making $15 an hour in its warehouses and customer service operations will increase as well. “We listened to our critics, thought hard about what we wanted to do, and decided we want to lead,” said Jeff Bezos, Amazon’s chief executive, in a statement.
This is only setting Amazon back a billion, whereas Bezos is the richest man on earth worth $166.3 billion USD.
