Dina Lohan files for bankruptcy, citing more than $1.5M in debt

- Lindsay Lohan's mom has officially filed for bankruptcy, citing more than $1.5M in debts she's unable to pay.

- Most of the debt is reportedly money that Dina borrowed to keep her home in Merrick, NY where Lindsay grew up.

- The other amounts Dina owes, include $4,600 in taxes to the state of California; $9,000 in taxes to New York; an undetermined amount to Victoria’s Secret; and $10,000 to Honda.

Music Legend Cher continues to show her disdain for the Queen of Pop Madonna. On Ellen, Cher was asked which three artists she’d like to collaborate with. She says, “Adele, Pink and uh...not Madonna.”

In a separate interview someone mentions to her a mash up of her ABBA cover of “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)” and Madonna’s “Hung Up” (which samples Gimme) and if they’d ever do an original song together. Cher responds with, “probably not.”

Oh well.

Mariah Carey to debut new single at American Music Awards; would love to perform Super Bowl Halftime

Days after giving a live performance at the iHeartRADIO festival in front of over 25,000 people that has left fans shook, gifted singer-songerwriter Mariah Carey announced on Twitter she would be performing at the American Music Awards on October 9th. Carey is reported to debut the first official single of her upcoming 15th studio album, titled "With You."



This will be Carey's fifth time performing at the AMAs, her first in ten years:

- Someday (1991)
- Fantasy (1996)
- Thank God I Found You (2000)
- Don’t Forget About Us (2005)
- I Stay In Love (2008)

On September 23, Carey and her fit boyfriend Bryan Tanaka were spotted heading into the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California to see Beyonce and Jay-Z‘s On The Run II Tour. Carey looked entirely comfortable in a tight leather ensemble and ridiculously high platform heels, but what else would you expect from the woman who famously wore stilettos on the elliptical machine?

After the concert, Mariah and Bryan grabbed dinner at Craig’s restaurant in West Hollywood with some of their friends. She was asked by a reporter that night if she’d be open to doing a Super Bowl Halftime Show and she replied, “I would love to!” Carey previously performed the National Anthem before the 2002 Super Bowl in New Orleans.

YouTube Beauty Guru Laura Lee apologizes for her apology video

• After uploading a heavily criticized apology video where Laura Lee addressed her past racist tweets, the popular beauty guru took a month long break from YouTube and social media.

• Today she is back on YouTube with a new apology video and took down her original apology video off her page saying it didn’t “represent” her well.

• Isn’t trying to hide that video or act like it never happened. She knows it’s all over the Internet for anyone to find.

• She adds that the original apology video was more of a “reaction” to the backlash and that she came off as a victim, which she clarifies that she is not in this situation.

• Takes full responsibility for her racist tweets but says some of them were fake.

• Says she has learned a lot from this experience and knows she’s a “role model” and wants to “turn this whole community around.”

• This is Laura’s third attempt at apologizing.

'Almost Famous' Musical in the Works

  • Cameron Crowe's 2000 film Almost Famous is being turned into a musical.

  • Composer Tom Kitt (Next to Normal, Bring it On) will write the music, with lyrics by Kitt & Crowe.

  • Crowe will write the book based on his Oscar-winning screenplay, which is loosely based on his own life.

  • The film's plot summary: Set in 1973, it chronicles the funny and often poignant coming of age of 15-year-old William, an unabashed music fan who is inspired by the seminal bands of the time. When his love of music lands him an assignment from Rolling Stone magazine to interview the up-and-coming band Stillwater -- fronted by lead guitar Russell Hammond and lead singer Jeff Bebe William - embarks on an eye-opening journey with the band's tour, despite the objections of his protective mother.

  • Crowe posted a teaser of Kitt playing music on piano on Twitter earlier this week.

Among the topics they discuss in the documentary opening Friday, September 28, in Los Angeles ; their careers, their friendship, insecurities about their appearances & rude male directors they have encountered.

Also discussed is Laurence Olivier, Joan Plowright's husband for 30 years & Maggie Smith's in a 1964 National Theatre Gallery production of Shakespeare’s Othello (who wore backface for the role).

“Darling Frank Finlay,” Smith says in the film of their co-star, who played Iago, “he came offstage one night. He flew to the corner and he started tearing at his eyes. I thought, ‘What has happened?’”

Finlay, who had vision problems, had decided to try contact lenses for the first time that evening.

“He said, ‘I have just seen Sir Laurence, and I never want to see him again.’ He couldn’t get [the contact lenses] out fast enough . . . he couldn’t see his hand in front of him. Poor man.”

SYFY's ‘Channel Zero: The Dream Door’ Gets a First Trailer + Premiere Date

Channel Zero returns to TV screens this Halloween with the fourth installment, The Dream Door, and a new trailer unlocks some of the madness.

Based on the creepypasta story "Hidden Door" by Charlotte Bywater, The Dream Door tells the story of a husband and wife, Tom and Jillian, who discover a strange, hidden door in their basement.

Channel Zero: The Dream Door will air on SYFY starting Oct. 26, with a new episode airing every night, leading up to the season finale on Halloween night. After the premiere, all six episodes will also be available to binge on VOD.

Keiynan Lonsdale is tired of all the labels. He addressed his sexuality and his preferred pronouns.

“I’m still surprised I get this question. I came out last year as not straight. Now it just depends on the day, sometimes I’m bisexual, sometimes I’m gay, sometimes I feel straight, sometimes I’m not anything. It doesn’t matter. Either way, through all that, I’m Keiynan. So if your question is, ‘Am I Keiynan?’ yes, I am Keiynan.”

2018 continues to prove that none of your faves are safe as Dame Judi Dench leaps to the defense of her "good friend" Kevin Spacey. Speaking at the San Sebastian International Film Festival, Dench said:

“Are we to do what happened when he was replaced with Christopher Plummer? Are we to do that throughout history?” she added. “Are we to go back throughout history and anyone who has misbehaved in any way, or who has broken the law, or who has committed some kind of offence, are they always going to be cut out? Are we going to extrude them from our history? I don’t know…”


Dench continued - to the sound of her PR agents shitting themselves - “I don’t know about the conditions of it, but nevertheless he is, and was, a most wonderful actor. I can’t imagine what he is doing now. And a good friend.”

It’s been just a little over a year since I first exposed occasional singer and retired actor Harry Edward Styles, 24 [citation needed], for the fashion thief that he is. I am stunned he continues to take from others unscathed. In all my years in journalism nothing could quite prepare me for this next theftvestigation.

It’s one thing to copy a person, but to copy a poor muppet? That’s right, Styles isn’t all that stylish and has resorted to taking fashion cues from Gonzo of Sesame Street and The Muppet Show. Chicken and all, and for a Gucci campaign and you can’t even give him credit or a shout out? Something. For shame. Thanks to users on Twitter, this was brought to my attention. You already know the drill.

A couple of awards hopefuls, 'Mary Queen of Scots' starring Oscar nominees Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie, and 'On the Basis of Sex' starring Oscar nominee Felicity Jones, will have their world premieres at the AFI Fest in Los Angeles this November.

'On the Basis of Sex' will kick off the AFI Fest on November 8, 2018, at the TCL Chinese Theatre. 'Mary Queen of Scots' will be the closing screening for the AFI Fest a week later, on November 15, 2018 (also at the TCL Chinese Theatre).

'Mary Queen of Scots' hits theaters on December 7, while 'On the Basis of Sex' is out on Christmas day.
