Cardi B & Travis Scott to perform with Maroon 5 for Superbowl LIII halftime show

Maroon 5 will have some special guests with them when they headline the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show. Although nothing is confirmed, Cardi & Travis are rumored to be on the short list to perform.

A spokesperson for the NFL wouldn’t confirm rumors, "It’s a Super Bowl tradition to speculate about the performers for the Pepsi Halftime Show... We are continuing to work with Pepsi on our plans but do not have any announcements to make on what will be another epic show.”

CBS wants Julie Chen Weinstein-Moonves to remain on as host of Big Brother. The network does not want to punish Julie for her husband Les Moonves' misdeeds.

A big reason she has agreed to stay on as host is that she only has to host Big Brother once a week and it is more scripted. The show is not as topical as 'The Talk' and they do not get involved in Chen's personal life.

There is a big if though... it has not been renewed for another season yet even though the ratings have been strong.

YG Entertainment Might Launch Survival Program For New Girl Group OR Boy Group.

- A media outlet reported that YG was currently planning to launch a survival show to pick the members of the company’s next girl group, with plans to broadcast the show at the end of the year.
- Trainees from YG Entertainment, as well as those from Teddy’s subsidiary label, The Black Label, will reportedly appear on the show.
- YG Entertainment's official statement: “The program is merely one of many we are currently drawing out. We do not have much information to announce just yet.”

BoJack Horseman’s Biggest Mystery: Is Todd Supposed to Be Latino?

- Despite having entire episodes dedicated to exploring characters backstories, little is known about Todd's past.
- Some people believe he is half-white and half-Latino. Biggest clue: His last name "Chavez".
- Creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg says: "I named him Todd Chavez after a guy I went to middle school with, whose last name was Chavez and who I always liked ".
- “I want to be very honest, we have not talked about Todd’s race or cultural heritage a lot,” he added. “We’ve played him as Schrödinger’s Latino, in that he’s not been explicitly not Latino, but we have not told stories about his Latino-ness either,”.
- Does not want to declare Todd a Latino character because he is voiced by Aaron Paul (white) and because of the criticism received with Diane, a Vietnamese-American character voiced by Alison Brie (white).
- Mentions the good public response to Todd's asexuality.
- It is likely Todd's ancestry will be explored in future seasons, but Bob-Waksberg says they want to be respectful and get it right.

The Monkees set to release first ever Christmas album next month

After the surprise hit of their 50th Anniversary album "Good Times", it appears The Monkees have been back in the studio and recorded a Christmas album.

Set for an October 12th release, the album, titled "Christmas Party" includes songs written by Rivers Cuomo, Peter Buck, and Michael Chabon.

It is not clear at this time exactly how many vocal leads Peter Tork has on the project, the former Monkee has kept relatively out of the spotlight in recent years.

No word on how much of the album is sung by Micky Dolenz, who sung lead on most of The Monkees tracks.

Michael Nesmith has recently recovered from a severe heart aliment, that lead to the cancellation of the remaining shows he was doing with band mate Micky Dolenz. The show, called "The Monkees present: The Mike and Micky show", have now been rescheduled.

Davy Jones passed away in 2012, but he is to feature on this album using lifted and remastered vocal tracks from his own 1976 Christmas album "Christmas Jones".

Kanye West isn't happy with Drake failing to deny the rumors circulating that he allegedly slept with Kim Kardashian: "The fact that there's people making rumors or thinking that you f*cked my wife and you not saying nothing ... that don't sit well with my spirit." He goes on to say "If you were married to Rihanna, I wouldn't make no song called RiRi." (in reference to Drake's "KiKi" that can be interpreted as a Kim K nickname)




He also goes on to warn Nick Cannon not to speak on his wife: "I understand you used to date my wife but don't mention my wife."

While promoting the critically-destroyed movie 'Life Itself', 'This is Us' creator (and the movie's director) Dan Fogelman tried to save face and this shit fucking movie by saying that the story is kind of like how you'd savor a Thanksgiving dinner... read below.

Fogelman: “A lot of things we watch are one thing — they’re funny or sad or serious or light — but life is this weird mixture of all. It’s a Thanksgiving dinner where the best bite of food is not just the turkey or cranberries or mashed potatoes or stuffing, but that forkful of all of it. That’s what the movie tries to capture.”

The Captain Marvel trailer debuted to great success reaching 109 million views across all platforms in its first 24 hours and generating good buzz.

However, the trailer has been met with some vitriol too. Apparently some people really hate it when women are being serious but Brie Larson is confronting misogyny head-on.
