"Who?": Turkish chef Nusret Gökçe (aka saltbae) went viral in january of 2017 for sprinkling salt on some meat (lol) and has a lucrative international restaurant empire.



In now-deleted tweets, Gökçe posted an (embarassing) video of himself preparing and serving meat for Maduro, president of Venezuela. The video can be found at the Miami Herald article below (cannot be embedded).

Maduro was served a pricy cut of meat while his country faces immense famine and the UN estimates millions have fled to escape the collapsing economy.

Because American politics is a fucking ride, the nation's first invertebrate senator, Marco Rubio (R) from FL, called saltbae out and then had a meltdown and posted the location and number of saltbae's Miami restaurant on twitter "in case anyone wanted to call."





Editor's note: Rubio has not addressed the Trump admin's slashing of refugee intake.

Exactly 7 months after it’s release, the Khalid x Normani collaboration became pop radio #1 song on September 14th (despite a very little support from radio in the first months of it’s release). It’s also the longest climb to the top 10 on the BB100 for a duet.


RIAA confirmed that Love Lies is now certified 2x platinum in the USA and 3x platinum in Canada. The song is now 10x platinum worldwide.

CW Actors and Various Athletes Compete in Vancouver Whitecaps Legends and Stars Charity Soccer Match

The Legends & Stars match that benefits the BC Children's Hospital was played this weekend with a strong attendance turnout and lots of smiles from the various television actors and athletes who participated. There were actors from The 100, Legends of Tomorrow, Riverdale, iZombie, Supernatural and more.

Among the athletes who participated were Olympic medalist Patrick Chan and the Sedin brothers from the Vancouver Canucks

• While Hailey Baldwin has denied that she tied the knot with Justin Bieber, Alec Baldwin confirmed at the Emmys last night that the two did in fact get married.

• “They went off and got married, and I don’t know what the deal is!” said Alec.

• The two did not sign a prenup.

• Justin is said to be worth approximately $265 million dollars while Hailey around $2 million.

• Over the weekend Bieber’s mother Tweeted “Love is Unconditional” and “Haters gonna hate. #LoveWins”

Disney's new streaming service will include new MCU tv shows

Disney wants people signing up for their new streaming service. And what better way than to give them new and exclusive MCU content.

Variety reports that the studio plans to launch several 6-8 episode limited series for MCU characters who do not have their own films, with Loki and the Scarlet Witch at the top of the list. Hiddles and Liz Olsen are expected to return.

Unlike the Marvel shows on Netflix, these will fall under the Marvel Studios umbrella with Kevin Feige in charge.

Disney's streaming service is scheduled to debut next year.

HBO & Netflix Tie for 23 Emmys a Piece at the 2018 Emmy Awards

  • At this year's Emmy Awards, HBO and Netflix tied for 23 Emmys a piece.

  • Netflix had 112 nominations, while HBO had 108.

  • HBO says it has a much better win-loss ratio than Netflix, spending $2 billion on content last year compared to Netflix's $8 billion expenditure for the same time period.

  • Netflix has aggressively acquired and created a large variety of content. It's in the same position HBO was in a decade ago, looking to upset the status quo.

  • Amazon, with a much smaller programming slate than Netflix, won five Emmys.


  • Netflix's stock rose 4.9% today as a reaction to their performance at the Emmys.

  • Last week, AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson, whose company now owns HBO, said that Netflix is the “Walmart” of streaming video while HBO is like “Tiffany’s.”

Jesse Eisenberg "doesn't know what to think" about Woody Allen allegations

Jesse Eisenberg gave his thoughts on the rape allegations against Woody Allen. He starred in two Woody Allen Films-- To Rome With Love, and Cafe Society. He joined Cafe Society even after Dylan Farrow wrote her public letter about being molested by Woody Allen.

Even after winning an Emmy Claire Foy couldn't get into the Governor's Ball

  • Foy won the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama of Series for The Crown but even with an Emmy in hand she and her team were denied entrance into the Governor's ball because her ticket was ripped

  • The ball is the official Emmys afterparty thrown by the Television Academy

  • Jonathan Van Ness of Queer Eye saved the day when he spotted Foy and vouched for her (apparently having a LITERAL EMMY isn't proof enough she belonged at the after party)

  • Foy rewarded him with a pic for his troubles

Jordan Torres, 27, has been an object of Internet thirst since beginning his modeling career in 2011. In the ensuing seven years, the 6'2" Puerto Rican has grown from a lean rugger to a musclebound "gorilla" (his preferred noun, but the 🦍 emoji will do) before the cameras of such renowned photographers as Brian Jamie and Greg Vaughan, garnering a social media following of 204,000 and counting.

Now, Torres can add 'body shamer' to his growing list of descriptors. Earlier this month, the self-proclaimed "Bronx bully" lived up to his nickname when he posted a photo of himself at the gym with a younger, considerably less jacked patron with the caption "lil homie ain't gonna get big if he keep textin 🐒 > 🦍." And while many of his followers commented their assent, others were not having it.

"You don't need to talk bad about someone to make yourself feel better," wrote one disappointed fan. "That kid could be starting at the gym. Pretty sure you didn't come out of your momma all buff and shit." Another asked why Torres didn't offer the boy encouragement instead of ridiculing him online.

In response, Torres changed the caption multiple times before landing on "everybody hates the big ape 🦍," simultaneously offering no apology and victimizing himself in typical male fashion. He then returned to his regularly scheduled thirst trapping.

ETA: Since the publication of this post, Torres has deleted the post in question. Still no sign of an apology though.
