• This morning, while doing my daily scrolling on Facebook, I got a notification letting me know that the page Defenders had changed its name to NX.


• Confused, because I didn't know what NX was, I decided to google it and found out that it's a new social channel that will promote science fiction and fantasy titles on Netflix.

• The page got a new name, but kept the same layout for a few minutes.

• After a while, it got this new look.

• The introduction video explains a little more about what NX is, but basically, it's just a new page that includes a lot of fandoms in just one place.


• People are mad because a page for the Defenders doesn't exist anymore, and many have commented that they're going to unfollow the page.

The question here is: Has Netflix cancelled Defenders? They could have created this new NX page from scratch, but they decided to reuse an existing page for this project. What does this mean for Defenders? Discuss.

Roald Dahl's book Matilda has turned 30 this year. To mark the occasion the book is being rereleased in a variety of different covers with art from original illustrator Quentin Blake imagining what Matilda would have grown up to be.

In his foreword to the new editions, Blake discussed the character. “Since, as a small child, Matilda was gifted in several ways, it wasn’t very difficult. I imagined that for each version of our grown-up Matilda one of her extraordinary talents and achievements would have come to the fore and shown her a role in life,” he writes.

“I am sure that someone who had read so many books when she was small could easily have become chief executive of the British Library, or someone exceptionally gifted at mental arithmetic would be perfectly at home in astrophysics. And if you have been to so many countries in books, what could be more natural than to go and see them yourself?”

Bradley Cooper spoke for the first time about the sexual harassment allegations against one-time producer Jon Peters. Peters, who produced the 1976 version, has been accused by numerous women of harassment in cases ranging from 1996 to 2008.

Although Cooper needed Peters’ permission to remake the film, he claims he was not aware of the allegations against him. He told NPR:

"With this property, there are many writers that come before — if you see the end credits, it's like, there's 10 writers. And [Jon Peters] was part of the, I guess, the grandfather clause of the movie, and we had to get his consent in order to make the movie. When you're at the helm, it's a huge responsibility. And I guess — I mean, first of all, on the set ... you have to create an environment where everybody feels safe. Everybody. And there's no room for disrespect, nothing. And that's something that you'd have to ask everybody who was involved, but I feel like that's the environment I created. Luckily, Jon wasn't there. And if I had known all those things, I would have done it differently. And I guess it's ... I wanted to make the movie, I knew I had to get consent from him, otherwise there's no film. But I should have checked. I guess that's the thing.

The Producers Guild of America disclosed that Peters is not part of the certified producing team for the new “A Star Is Born." Peters will most likely be ineligible for an Academy Award if the film wins best picture, as the Academy uses PGA determination as a recommendation.

He was on Elvis Duran and discussed some things and mainly parents and deeper side of life.
- Says when he records an album he looks like this "wild mountain man" and then when he comes to play he'd clean up cause he was scared people wouldn't like him if he didn't look a certain way
- His dad had a tumor in his head, so Posner sold his LA home and moved back to Detroit to help his dad in his final year of life before he passed (this was during his last album cycle)
- When he was writing this album Avicii passed, says he was his good friend, "You live life and bad things happen sometimes, but you try to find a silver lining in every suffering and learn from it and this is what my album is about".
- Says if he was more famous like Drake he'd just drop the album but he isn't so he has to do single first etc

Sean Penn has opened up about the #MeToo movement, saying it divides men and women and "it's too black and white."

"I'd like to think that none of it was influenced by what they call the movement of #MeToo. I think it's influenced by the things that are developing in terms of the empowerment of women who've been acknowledging each other and being acknowledged by men. This is a movement that was largely shouldered by a kind of receptacle of the salacious. Well, we don't know what's a fact in many of the cases. Salacious is as soon as you call something a movement that is really a series of many individual accusers, victims, accusations, some of which are unfounded."

"I'm gonna say that women that I talk to, not in front of a camera, that I listen to, of all walks of life, that there's a common sense that is not represented at all in the discussion when it comes to the media discussion of it, the discussion where if Sean Penn says this, so and so's going to attack him for saying this, because of that. I don't want it to be a trend, and I'm very suspicious of a movement that gets glommed on to in great stridency and rage and without nuance.
