Henry Cavill is parting ways with Warner Bros. and Superman; Michael B. Jordan could replace him

  • Warner Bros. wanted Henry Cavill to have a cameo on Shazam!, but after contract talks between his team and Warners broke down, it appears that he won't be playing Superman in the future.

  • The studio is focusing on making a Supergirl movie, but they want it to be an origin story with a teenager Kara, which means that Clark would be a kid and they wouldn't need Cavill anymore.

  • The article also confirms once again that Ben Affleck won't be playing Batman anymore.

  • According to a studio insider, Warner Bros. is planning on hitting the reset bottom on the DC cinematic universe because they're finally recognizing that their movies aren't working.


  • According to Deadline's report, Warner Bros. has considered casting Michael B. Jordan as Superman down the road, but the studio's top priority at the moment is Supergirl.

Ariana Grande Was Very Involved in Helping Mac Miller Stay Sober

Radio show host Shane Powers did a podcast recently, and on it discussed his good friend Mac Miller as well as Ariana's involvement in his sobriety, praising her efforts.

On Ariana and Mac's relationship:
"They were very much in love and I have to say, she was incredible when he was first sobering up. She was a fucking G to him. There could not have been anybody more supportive of him being sober than Ariana. I saw that, I was around it. I took phone calls from her. “How do I help,” “What do I do?” This little girl was unbelievably involved and helpful to him being healthy. Because whether he was an addict of not, the way that Mac partied was not healthy. I gotta tell you, man, there was no one in his life more ready to go to the wall for him when it came to him being sober. She was an unbelievably stabilising force in his life."

- His friend also talked about worrying and preparing himself that Mac would "be gone" someday cause of his relationship to chemicals.

Warren Beatty thought test audiences for Rules Don't Apply were too "ethnic"

Two years ago, Warren Beatty returned to the screen with his dream-film about Howard Hughes: Rules Don't Apply.

Several months before release, distributors 20th Century Fox and Regency Entertainment held test screenings to decide how to market and open the film properly. The results were.... not great. Audiences thought the film dragged and those under 40 didn't know who Howard Hughes was, and complained that his behavior in the film was disturbing and repetitive.

According to producer Arnon Milchan's son, Yariv, Beatty dismissed the reactions, stating that the 25% Latino and 19% Asian audience was "too ethnic". Beatty refused to screen to more test audiences, instead relying on family, friends, and reporters who would write puff pieces on him to make the film look good. He also insisted on the film receiving a wide release on Thanksgiving weekend, ballooning the film marketing budget from $12-14 to more than $20 million. With another $31 million used for production, the film became the biggest flop in recent memory, grossing only $3.9 million worldwide.

The film is now is a ligation fiasco. Milchan sued the films investors to recoup marketing costs. The investors then counter-sued Milchan, blaming him for film flopping (Dirtbag Brett Ratner, one of the investors, actually claims Milchan fell asleep during a screening.)

Since release, Beatty has been trying to save his film, demanding studio meetings to discuss home release strategies. Neither bothered.

A24 Buys Claire Denis film 'High Life' Out of TIFF

  • A24 has bought the rights to the Claire Denis film High Life.

  • The deal was in the low seven figures.

  • The film just premiered at TIFF, where it received mixed-to-positive reviews from audiences while being praised by most critics.

  • A24 plans to give the film a theatrical release.

  • The film is noted French filmmaker Denis' English language debut, and stars Mia Goth, Robert Pattinson, Juliette Binoche and André Benjamin as criminals/crew members on a spaceship heading toward a black hole.

Roman Zolanski was on her way to faded obscurity but made recent headlines thanks to a red shoe. Roman Zolanski, has suffered a huge decline when no one was checking for her 123425423 features, had resorted to a collabo with a parrot looking pedophile for a hit working with child abusers runs in the miraj familyand roman continued to humiliate herself by throwing an atomic tantrum over her shitty album debuting at #2.

Roman was known to be a major bully and villain in the industry by blackballing events, producers and djs if people on Romans shitlist were present. Many artists have came out and exposed Roman for the shit person that she is. Cardi B, was not one to hold back and confront Roman about her sneak disses and menacing motives to ruin Cardi's career and reputation. Kulture's mother went over to Roman so she can catch a fade but Roman was behind 7 security guards.

Thanks to Cardi, interest was sparked back to Roman. The Queen radio program which Roman spoke about Cardi and her need to seek help for Post partum topped Apple's Music Chart not 86 countries. Views for Roman's latest single had decent viewing figures. Roman should be thanking Cardi for relevancy because the Barbz aren't buying her music, bundles or tour tickets.

Golden retriever man Jordan and some scratchy-voiced nobody named Jenna have ended their engagement.

if you remember correctly, jordan was a golden-underpants-wearing man-child who pledged his noble life to "the most stacked girl in Paradise."

alas, it was not meant to be. A wise man named Reality Steve revealed that Jenna was faking her love for Jordan for the sake of promoting her business.

Jenna was in a relationship with another man while she was engaged to Jordan. Her ex revealed texts that she sent to him, in which she wrote, "I can't wait to put you in my mouth"..."It's gonna get really kinky"...

About our golden prince Jordan, she wrote, "I don't even like him, let alone love him."

Disney, Focus Features, Sony, more have already begun their Oscars FYC campaigns

So, of course the awards season has officially kicked off, as the big and small production companies are slowly sending out FYC (for your consideration) screeners and promos. Those already out include 'Disobedience' from Bleecker Street Pictures and 'Won't You Be My Neighbor?' from Focus Features.

Of course the biggest FYC push right now, as you can see above and in the source link below, is Disney's 'Black Panther', which wants guild/Academy/BAFTA/etc members to recognize the movie in a fuckload of categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, and many more.

Other smaller companies who have revealed their FYC pages (which industry people and Academy voters know all about), include:

-- Focus Features: 'Tully'; 'Won't You Be My Neighbor?'; 'BlackkKlansmen'; 'Boy Erased'; 'Mary Queen of Scots'; and 'On the Basis of Sex' in various categories
-- Sony Pictures: 'The Front Runner'; 'White Boy Rick'
-- Bleecker Street: 'Colette'; 'Leave No Trace'; 'Disobedience'; 'What They Had'; 'McQueen'

The rest of the big companies will have their FYC websites updated throughout the fall, so stay tuned. If you've seen the buzz from the recent film festivals, you can guess what will get the biggest push.

ONTD Investigates: Who is the untalented member of One Direction?

Songwriter and Producer Savan Kotecha appeared on a podcast called And The Writer Is... where he discussed his time working with One Direction. He was behind many of their hit songs including What Makes You Beautiful, Kiss You and Live While We're Young. However after their second album Up All Night, the boy band were unhappy with the music they were making and Savan only contributed one song to their third album Midnight Memories.

Savan explained what went wrong while adding a blind item for ONTD members to speculate on:

"I think by album three, they — not all of them, but there was one or two, one especially— that was bitter about that fact [that they were a boy band]. And this particular one — he was not the talented one, he wasn’t the singer, he wasn’t the star… he started having something against me and [the other writers] and against that process.”

Who was he talking about? Here are our clues:

Clue #1

It's not Harry Styles. In the same appearance on the podcast, Savan says of Harry:

"With Harry it was really interesting, because from album two you really saw that he was a fucking good writer. We did a song together for the third album — the only thing we did for the third album — called ‘Happily’, which I’m really proud of and I think he is as well… he was really great at bringing ideas.”


Clue #2


Was Savan sincere when he called this article GREAT? Or was he being shady with this response to One Direction member Louis Tomlinson's interview.

By Louis' defintion of his two bandmates, Zayn and Harry are not the ones Savan was talking about.



Clue #3

In another quote from Savan from the podcast, he says: "Maybe we could have been more inviting on the creative process on album two, and not been so authoritative."

Considering our mysterious and untalented member was unhappy with the band's music styling and edged out the writers from previous albums, perhaps they contributed more to the last 3 albums. Except for Harry - who we've ruled out - let's examine the songwriting credits for the 1D members:
