Boyd Holbrook Says He’s ‘Proud of’ Olivia Munn’s Handling of ‘Predator’ Sex Offender Situation

He voices support for Munn and apologizes for his earlier silence.

“I want to start by apologizing for this statement coming late in the current conversation. I do not take any of what has gone on lightly, and I want to speak from the most honest and genuine place possible. I have stated before, and I will state it again, I am proud of Olivia for the way that she handled a difficult and alarming situation, and I am grateful that Fox took the information seriously and took action swiftly.”

“It is true that I pulled out of a small amount of press on Saturday, as this type of social commentary is new to me and given the nature of the originating crime, I felt further discussion could cause unwanted trauma and pain, neither of which I wanted to incite to the anonymous young woman,”

“I now realize that my understanding of the situation was not the full picture and the last thing I want is for Olivia to ever feel abandoned or alone. We are in the midst of a very crucial and important time and it is imperative that we keep listening,”

“Vox Lux” co-stars Jude Law and Stacy Martin and is a drama that spans decades, touching upon issues such as school shootings, terrorism, and celebrity culture. It features original songs by pop artist Sia and an original score by Scott Walker.

Penn Badgley Clarifies His Remarks After Griping About Being ‘Molested’ By ‘Gossip Girl’ Fans

Penn Badgley is stepping back some comments he made after complaining that some overzealous fans “molested” him during the height of his “Gossip Girl” fame.
“I think as an actor you can become an object of desire, which is something women are already accustomed to more or less around the world — I’ve definitely been, I mean I don’t want to sound sensationalist, but I’ve literally been molested — just in the literal sense of the word — by many people in the moment. Because that’s what they do.”

Badgley later clarified his intention in using the word “molested.”
“The point of my comment was not to confess a personal trauma. I was speaking about the way emotional and physical boundaries are violated for someone in the public eye, who is seen as an object of desire. Depending on so many factors, it can range from conscious abuse to something very unconscious — and that is the point I was making, cautiously, in the context of a conversation about fanaticism and cultural norms which support manipulative or abusive behaviour. These are the same norms which support predatory men, but not exclusively predatory men. They affect, and infect, us all.”

Barry Jenkins shared a story about a driver calling him the n-word during the Moonlight era.
He was waiting on his ride from the Governor Awards to Dear White People director Justin Simien's after-party.

"My driver, he had a hard time getting in and out of the valet, because if you pull up and your person’s not there, you've got to drive out and circle around. I come out and the valet person is just like, shocked. I'm like, 'What's up?' He goes, 'Oh, you shouldn't get in the car with that dude.' I'm like, 'Why?' He goes, 'Oh, because when I was out here before, he looked all agitated, and I said to him, 'What's wrong?' He goes, 'Oh, you know, nothing, I'm just sitting around here waiting around to pick up this n****r.' And then he smiled and said, 'Oh, and he's probably going to get nominated for Best Director.'' Subtext: But he's still just a n****r."

When McQueen told people he wanted her for a role in “Widows,” he was met with hesitance.
He was originally told not to work with Rodriguez because she has a reputation for being difficult on set.
People say that about him as well. They call him difficult. While a white director is called a perfectionist.

McQueen offered Rodriguez the part but she declined. She felt the part was “subservient to men.”
He ended up auditioning several other actresses for the role, none of whom worked as well.
The filmmaker persisted and landed an in-person meeting with Rodriguez.

Sally Field on Surviving Child Sex Abuse & Her Relationship with Burt Reynolds

Sally Field's memoir, In Pieces, comes out next week. In it, the 71-year-old Oscar and Emmy winner reveals for the first time that she was a victim of child sexual abuse at the hands of her stepfather, 'Jocko'. The attacks recurred until she was about 14 years old.

“It would have been so much easier if I’d only felt one thing, if Jocko had been nothing but cruel and frightening. But he wasn’t. He could be magical, the Pied Piper with our family as his entranced followers.”

She also says that her relationship with Burt Reynolds, whom she dated from 1976 to 1981, was an attempt to recreate her abusive relationship with her stepfather.

“I was somehow exorcising something that needed to be exorcised. I was trying to make it work this time.”

Reynolds was accused of abuse by both of his wives, actresses Judy Carne and Loni Anderson. He said in 2015 that Fields was "the love of my life" and that he "missed her terribly" and regretted breaking up with her in 1981.

Reynolds died last Friday, and Fields says she is glad that he won't read what she wrote about him: “This would hurt him. I felt glad that he wasn’t going to read it, he wasn’t going to be asked about it, and he wasn’t going to have to defend himself or lash out, which he probably would have. I did not want to hurt him any further.”

The actor has voiced his concerns about Marvel Studios not including any gay actors as leads in any of their studio films.

In an article with Variety, the actor addressed queer representation in Hollywood and in particular, Marvel Studios.

“There’s a big problem with masculinity and homosexuality that they can’t somehow go hand in hand,” Harington said. “That we can’t have someone in a Marvel movie who’s gay in real life and plays some superhero. I mean, when is that going to happen?”

Paul McCartney is detailing some wild sex stories

Paul McCartney is detailing some wild sex stories from his days in The Beatles in a new interview for GQ.

Paul McCartney and John Lennon masturbated together to Brigitte Bardot.
“What it was, was over at John’s house, and it was just a group of us,” he explained. “And instead of just getting roaring drunk and partying — I don’t even know if we were staying over or anything — we were all just in these chairs, and the lights were out, and somebody started masturbating, so we all did.”

“We were just, ‘Brigitte Bardot! Whoo!’ And then everyone would thrash a bit more,” he said, adding that at one point, Lennon shouted Winston Churchill’s name, which killed the mood.

He also recalls a time when he requested two prostitutes.
“There was once when we were in Vegas where the tour guy, a fixer, said, ‘You’re going to Vegas, guys — you want a hooker?’ We were all, ‘Yeah!’ And I requested two. And I had them, and it was a wonderful experience. But that’s the closest I ever came to an orgy. See, the thing is, in the next room I think the guys might have ordered something else off the menu. So that would figure if John was saying, yeah, it was all bacchanalian.”

  • Rowan Blanchard's "signature look" is her brushed out brunette brows.

  • In a new interview with Byrdie, the actor and activist revealed she's ready to take her look in a totally different direction. “I want to see what I look like with my eyebrows bleached," she said. "I want to do glitter eyebrows. I do nothing to my eyebrows." Another item on her beauty bucket list? “I want to dye my hair platinum blonde."

  • Talks about the Power of Make-up: “I definitely feel like I’m always deciding what kind of performance, or what kind of drag, I want to be in," she said, of making hair and makeup decisions. "I have always looked at makeup like that — a costume. Maybe it’s because I’ve been acting. It’s something that can change your personality almost and intensify the way that you perform.”

Shannen Doherty talks Cancer & Charmed reboot

-On Charmed: “I think it's great. I think it's awesome, I think second lives are amazing, so I'm all for it… I'm happy to see that a show, that back then was all about strong women who supported and loved each other, is now coming back again in this day and age. It's about female empowerment again -- not that that's something new. Charmed originally was that too. But I think it's wonderful, you know? And it's providing a lot of jobs for people, and I honestly, I just wish them well. And I hope that everyone just gives them a chance.”

-On Cancer: "It's the best time in the world for me to be an actor because I'm so in touch with every single emotion, it's maybe a little bit of fear, but it's also this overwhelming feeling of gratefulness and just humility. And I think the humility really is what knocks you on your feet the most and brings forth those tears. It's also the fear that anybody else is going to go through it. I hate to be the person who goes, 'Oh my God, the sky is so blue all of the sudden.' But you really start noticing a lot more things around you, and appreciating everything."
