Rose McGowan Says Leaked Asia Argento Texts Came From Her Friend

In a Monday statement released through a publicist, Rose McGowan revealed that the texts in question came from the person she is dating, Rain Dove.

Rose claims she only became close with Asia in the last year. After the death of Anthony Bourdain, Rose introduced Asia to Rain whom Rose was dating. Rose, Rain and Asia then visited Berlin and Asia confessed she was being extorted for a large sum of money every month by someone who was blackmailing them with a provocative images. Rose claimed no one in the room knew who the extortionist was at the time.

"I received a phone call and series of messages from the being I’ve been dating- Rain Dove. They said that they had been texting with Asia and that Asia had revealed that she had indeed slept with Jimmy Bennet. Rain also shared that Asia had stated that she’d been receiving unsolicited nudes of Jimmy since he had been 12. Asia mentioned in these texts that she didn’t take any action on those images. No reporting to authorities, to the parents, or blocking of Jimmy’s social media. Not even a simple message “Don’t send me these images. They are inappropriate.” There were a few other details revealed as well that I am not at liberty to mention in this statement as investigators do their job."

Rose states that Rain wanted to turn the texts over to the police.
“I responded with ‘You have to. You must.’ I wasted no time. It wasn’t hard to say or support. What was hard was the shell shock of the realization that everything the MeToo movement stood for was about to be in jeopardy,” she writes. Within an hour, she claims, Dove brought the messages to the authorities, and within 48 hours, the messages were in the press.

Good and unproblematic fave Weird Al Yankovic is providing us with some happy news today: he has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His longtime supporter Dr. Demento gave a speech ahead of the unveiling of the star. Weird Al first had a song played on Dr. Demento's show in 1976. He has released 14 albums, starred in the cult classic "UHF" and won four Grammys.

-Housemates continue their performances to entertain the public and they only pass once today. First up is Dan having to entertain the public....Dan takes off his shirt, does some awkward dancing, and uses his pecks to put up on a play. He fails. Next up is the housemates much go to confession to entertain the public, Ben confirms that he likes Roxanne and Jermaine confirms that he likes Chloe. They fail. Then Kirstie must direct a sexy performance so she recruits Chloe/Gabby/Roxanne to put on sexy performance for the Eye. They fail.

-Gabby and Kirstie are tired of the housemates being like animals and not cleaning up behind themselves. Housemates are leaving pee on the toilet, pubes in the shower, hair in the drain, clothes everywhere.

-Dan breaks down while talking to Hardeep about his kids. he misses them and talks about how he had to fight for his son.

Katy Perry's testimony unsealed; says Dr. Luke never raped her

A judge unsealed several pages of Katy Perry's testimony in the Dr. Luke/Kesha trial, where the singer denies all claims Kesha made that Dr. Luke ever sexually assaulted her, or that she had any sort of romantic or sexual relationship with the producer at all. At one point, a lawyer asks Perry if Kesha's statement that Dr. Luke raped her is false, to which she replies "Yes, ma'am."


Lawyer: Are you aware that Kesha has made a statement that Dr. Luke raped you?
Katy: Yes

Lawyer: Did Dr. Luke ever rape you?
Katy: No.

Lawyer: Did Dr. Luke ever sexually assault you?
Katy: No.

Lawyer: Did he ever give you a roofie?
Katy: No

Lawyer: Did you have a sexual relationship with Dr. Luke at all?
Katy: No.

Lawyer: A romantic relationship?
Katy: No.

Lawyer: So Ms. Sebert’s statement that Dr. Luke raped you is false?
Katy: Yes, ma’am.

Edit: Backstory - Kesha sent a text message to Lady Gaga in February 2016 in which she claimed that Dr. Luke had raped Katy Perry. In a separate deposition of Lady Gaga that was released today, she discussed hearing the rumor from John Janick, the CEO and chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records.

• Big Machine Records, a Universal Music Group-distributed indie label, first signed Taylor Swift to a record deal when she was just 15. This November her obligation to Big Machine Records expires.

• The source includes a quote from a music lawyer who says, "There's no precedent to look to regarding the top-selling artist of the digital era becoming a total free agent. Taylor Swift is at an extraordinary point in her career where she can write her own ticket in regards to the commercial terms and deal structure."

• Taylor could face a struggle over ownership of her old catalogue. As it stands now she does not own the masters to her albums. If she decides to leave Big Machine Records she will have to negotiate for ownership of these masters and, since it is assumed that 80% of the labels revenue is thanks to Taylor's music, it will be a tough fight.

• Variety speculates that since she already does a lot of the work a label does (not including radio and international distribution) with her own in-house team, she could decide to go for a distribution deal and just hire more people and strike out on her own.

• Signing with Sony or another major label is an option for her. She could also sign a deal with Republic, a label under the UMG umbrella, or resign with Big Machine Records.

• The article quotes an unnamed source who speculates that UMG is willing to drop $100 million to keep her signed.

Miss Hilly, I am tired. Here is the final installment of OP's revision of Rolling Stone Magazine's 100 Greatest Songs of the Century (so far).

Let us go over the rules once againT:
- the song must have been officially released as a single
- no artist can appear more than two times to allow for genre diversity which OP tried to include
- just because a song isn't considered popular doesn't mean it is not great
- songs were included based on things such as how good the song it, its pop cultural significance, how important the song is to the artists' career. Not every song meets this requirement
- music videos do not play into the ranking as not every single must have a video
- have fun, y'all

'Sharp Objects' scene-stealer Eliza Scanlen chats about prepping for 'Little Women'

Australian actress Eliza Scanlen talked to Vanity Fair about her character from HBO's 'Sharp Objects', Amma, in great detail, including some of the bigger spoilers and shockers at the end (all that good stuff is at the source).

Eliza also mentioned that she's already prepping for her upcoming project, the latest adaptation of 'Little Women' directed by Greta Gerwig, in which she plays Beth March. Here's a bit:

At the moment, I’m just trying to play the piano two to three hours a day. Greta wants me to learn quite a few songs. I’m working on that. I’ve played piano since I was probably six or seven, but I stopped when I was about 13, and I couldn’t be bothered to do the exams or learn my scales. Now I’m coming back to it, and it feels good.

'Little Women' begins filming this fall with a star-studded cast which has been listed more than enough times here on ONTD (I know y'all haven't forgotten Emma Watson's recent casting in the drama). It hits theaters Christmas 2019.

Jessica Chastain continues to fail, hires new director for Matthew Newton's 'Eve'

To recap: Jessica "I have never worked with an abuser" Chastain announced that she would be producing and starring in Eve a feminist (lol) action thriller. The only problem? Eve was written by Matthew Newton who is more famous for viciously assaulting his girlfriends than his filmography. Newton was supposed to direct, but after severe backlash (which Chastain ignored) he finally released a statement saying he had dropped out.

Tate Taylor, whom Chastain worked with on The Help, is now on board to direct. So it's all good yay. EXCEPT MATTHEW NEWTON STILL WROTE THE SCRIPT FROM AN ORIGINAL IDEA MEANING HE STILL GETS ROYALTIES.

Louis CK greeted with standing ovation as he returns to comedy after admitting to sexual misconduct

• After keeping a low profile for the last ten months, disgraced comedian Louis C.K. made a surprise appearance at the Comedy Cellar in New York in Greenwich Village on Sunday night.

• Owner of the Cellar, Noam Dworman, was not aware C.K. was performing but was texted by staff and later saw a video of the performance.

• Dworman told the New York Times that C.K.’s set lasted 15 minutes and consisted of “typical Louis C.K. stuff.”

• The sold-out crowd of about 115 people greeted him warmly and even gave him a standing ovation before he even began.

• However one audience member called the club on Monday to object to the surprise set by Louis C.K.

• Dworman said as a business owner he was in a difficult position and understands that people will be upset with him and his establishment but adds: “there can’t be a permanent life sentence on someone who does something wrong.”
