Lindsay Lohan sat down with The Times UK at her Mykonos Beach Club. A few key quotes from the interview are below.
On her tabloid past: "You have to remember that in LA, I was 19. I lived there for seven years and it was just people, places and things. I had too much money, I was way too young and I had no one around to protect me; just people who wanted to come along for the ride. [There was no social media] you couldn’t control anything yourself. There was just the tabloids, and they were out to get me."
On the US: "Next time you’ll see me in America will be on Capitol Hill.”
On the #MeToo movement: Lohan claims to have had no negative, 'MeToo' experiences working in the movies. “So, I don’t really have anything to say. I can’t speak on something I didn’t live, right? Look, I am very supportive of women. Everyone goes through their own experiences in their own ways. [But] If it happens at that moment, you discuss it at that moment. You make it a real thing by making it a police report."
On Mykonos: "I had a fight with my ex on this very beach. What did I do? Nothing. I just took over the beach. The best revenge is success, right?”
Lohan is currently filming her MTV reality series 'Lohan Beach House', slated for an early 2019 premiere, as well as developing an all-female Saudi film titled 'Frame', working on her own make-up line, pitching Tina Seksis' The Honeymoon as a potential series, expanding her beach clubs, and being a spokesperson for Lawyer.com.
The busy schedule isn't deterring her though, she says she also plans to start her own Dubai-based children’s charity and adopt a child. “Probably from Russia. I want a little blond Russian boy.”
