Yes, you read that right. What? Why? How? Well, it all started in January when a Tumblr post titled “Petition to give Carly Rae Jepsen a sword” went viral. The reason behind the suggestion? “I like her and I think she should have one,” read the Tumblr post. Short, simple, and straight to the point. Yesterday, after eight months since the post, the prophecy was finally fulfilled as Jepsen was finally bestowed with an inflatable sword during her Lollapollza set while singing Song of the Summer “Cut to the Feeling.” Naturally, Twitter went wild celebrating and confusing others as to why they were so happy that she got a sword. 🗡

Former *N SYNC member Lance Bass just can't catch a break. First, after all that space training - he wasn't able to go into space. Now, he puts in an offer for The Iconic Brady Bunch House that was listed for $1.885 million just last month that was accepted. All things looked great and it seemed like it was a done deal on Bass' end, until...it wasn't. He posted to Instagram to share his frustration on losing out on the deal:

“I'm feeling heartbroken today. As many of you may have heard, we placed the winning bid on the iconic Brady Bunch house—at least that’s what we were told. The agent representing the estate informed us we made the winning bid (which was WAY over the asking price) after the final deadline for all offers had passed—even writing up the “winning bid” for my team after informing me of the good news. Isn’t a deadline a deadline? This was a dream come true for me and I spent the night celebrating amongst friends, family, and fans alike. The next day, due to “unforeseen circumstances” the same agent informed us that there’s another Corporate Buyer (Hollywood studio) who wants the house at any cost. We were prepared to go even higher but totally discouraged by the sellers agent, they will outperform any bid with unlimited resources. How is this fair or legal?? How can I compete with a billion dollar corporate entity? I truly believe I was used to drive up the price of the home knowing very well that this corporation intended on making their offer and it’s not a good feeling. I feel used but most importantly I’m hurt and saddened by this highly questionable outcome. I just hope it is not demolished. Had Bass gotten the home, he had planned to change the interior of the home and re-create “The Brady Bunch” set. Ultimately, he lost out to a Hollywood studio who had billions more to outbid him or anyone else who tried to put in an offer.

The sale of the home is expected to close in about 10 days.

– iTunes has removed five of Infowars' six podcasts for violating their hate speech guidelines. The sixth one, "Real News with David Knight", is a daily recap of news by Infowars, still remains on the platform. One of Alex Jone's recent conspiracies was how Democrats were planning to start a civil war on July 4th.
– Apple's move has called into question the role that tech companies have in moderating misinformation, hate speech, and propaganda. Spotify users have recently protested against using the app since they started hosting Infowars podcasts.
– Supporters bearing "Q Anon" signs have been spotted at various Trump rallies this week, in reference to the "Q Anon" conspiracy, that the liberal and political elite are all part of a global pedophile ring and that Trump has faced so much opposition to his administration because he's been working on arresting all of them (and therefore locking up his opposition).

British actor James Norton confirmed that he's the newest name attached to Greta Gerwig's star-studded movie adaptation of 'Little Women'. No word yet on who he'll play.

Norton will star alongside Meryl Streep, Emma Stone, Timothee Chalamet, Saoirse Ronan, Eliza Scanlen, and Florence Pugh in the feature, set to begin production this October in the Boston area. The movie's set for Christmas/awards 2019 release.

He tries not to shower while on vacation, so that he can “be one with the smells of wherever I am.”

About the scent of orange juice :
“Happiness smells like orange juice, but fresh squeezed only. Sadness smells like Tropicana. The different smells of orange juice can be very subtle, but it’s either depression or extreme happiness.”

This is so messed up and my heart breaks for the child. I pray that this interview does not go forward. However, I have been doing some soul searching, and my views towards Nicki have actually changed. I am more indifferent (indifferent is not a good word upon reflection, I mostly just feel conflicted/anger) towards her now.

MoviePass Announces New Terms, AGAIN, Strives To Survive

  • After announcing last week it was raising monthly membership prices to $14.95, keeping surge pricing and eliminated showtimes as they see fit, the Grinch at the top of the Helios & Matheson/Moviepass hill has relented.

  • Beginning August 15th, the monthly price will stay $9.95. With that, surge pricing, disappearing showtimes and ticket stub verification are now a thing of the past. HOWEVER, users will now be limited to only 3 films per month and "certain big first-run films will still be limited". HMNY/MP did not elaborate on that.

  • Moviepass will also offer a $5 credit per film you see after your first 3 are up, giving you a discount.

  • In the press release, Mitch Lowe decided to be an asshole and blamed these new restrictions on those who actually used the service as it was sold. "With the new price implementation, we hope to bring some moderation to the small number of subscribers who imposed undue cost on the system by viewing a disproportionately large number of movies."
