Robert-Pattinson-Kristen-Stewart

There are more whispers about everyone's favourite Twilight co-stars rekindling their romance.

It has been reported that a trip to Robert Pattinson's home city of London may be on the cards for Kristen Stewart, who has allegedly been invited by her currently off-again boyfriend to spend Christmas with him.

The 27-year-old British star flew back to the UK this week, and is said to have called the 23-year-old actress he apparently can't seem to forget about to extend the invitation, according to Entertainmentwise.

article-2520289-19BA85A100000578-988_634x817

The website is reporting that Rob put in the phone call to Kristen to congratulate her on her new movie, Camp X-Ray, getting accepted into the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.

The pair - whose relationship status has been up and down for quite some time since the actress cheated on him with Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders - have been spending a significant amount of time apart of late.

But according to the website's sources, 'They talked for awhile and by the end of the conversation he invited her to come see him in London.'

Not sure if she’s 100% going to take him up on it, but she was just so happy.'

The source added that the purpose of the trip would be to enjoy a solid amount of quality time together in order to work on getting their relationship back together.

It was previously reported by The Sun that the pair were instead planning to spend time together in Europe after Christmas, with a source telling the newspaper that Kristen was going to let Rob celebrate the holiday with his family and then meet him afterwards.

'But she's hoping they’ll travel to Paris together on Boxing Day and from there on to the Loire Valley,' the same source continued.

'She reckons it could be the relaxing break they need to completely get things back on track.'

Rob has been rumoured to be dating a string of Hollywood hotties since his initial split from Kristen earlier this year.

This summer he was linked to Elvis' granddaughter Riley Keough and later the actor was reportedly dating Sean Penn’s daughter Dylan – his eldest daughter with actress Robin Wright.

Meanwhile, Kristen's mother Jules has extended her own support for her daughter's success, posting an Instagram snap of a still from Camp X-Ray, in which the actress can be seen in profile.

'Congratulations to Kristen and her 'Camp X-Ray' comrades. Their film has been accepted as a contender in the 2014 Sundance Film Festival’s U.S. Dramatic Competition,' the enthusiastic mother wrote.

PETA Praises Jay Z, Beyonce

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals organization, known as PETA, is praising Jay Z and Beyonce for their decision to become vegans for 22 days.

"PETA praises Jay Z and Beyoncé for getting animals off their plates for 22 days and hopes that this great spiritual exercise will open their eyes to the suffering of all animals-including the wonderful ones who are killed not for the table but for a coat, a belt, or a bag," a PETA representative said, according to Yahoo! omg! reports.

Jay Z took to his Life + Times website just before his 44th birthday on Dec 4 to let fans know about his decision to go on a spiritual cleanse with his wife and singer Beyonce.

"Psychologists have said it takes 21 days to make or break a habit," the rap mogul wrote on his blog, Life + Times. "On December 3rd, one day before my 44th birthday I will embark on a 22 Days challenge to go completely vegan, or as I prefer to call it, plant-based."

The rapper, born Shawn Carter, spoke about the spiritual aspect of the cleanse.

"There's something spiritual to me about it being on my 44th birthday and the serendipity behind the number of days in this challenge; 22 (2+2=4) coupled with the fact that the challenge ends on Christmas day… It just feels right," Jay Z wrote.

Still, the rapper admitted that he had not fully thought out the idea of what he wanted to do after Christmas with the cleanse.

"So you can call it a spiritual and physical cleanse," he wrote. "I will post my progress… I don't know what happens after Christmas. A semi-vegan, a full plant-based diet? Or just a spiritual and physical challenge? We'll see… Best of luck and health!"

25 Best Films of 2013: A Video Countdown from Film.Com

$

"Film.com’s year-end bonanza will formally kick off next week with a number of features that look back at the movies of 2013 as they were seen through the eyes of our contributors, but before we launch into that madness I wanted to share a list of my personal favorites, selections for whom there is no one to blame but me.

There’s a brief intro to set the stage and paint a slightly broader picture of the year that was (with a few red herrings tossed in for good measure), but this video is ultimately a countdown of my favorite 25 films of 2013. I’ve played loose and fast with the eligibility requirements in the past, but this time around I thought it would be easier and more instructive to honor only those films that were publicly released in the United States during the calendar year of 2013 (my refusal to abide by this criteria in previous videos explains why Olivier Assayas’ “Something in the Air” and Abbas Kiarostami’s “Like Someone in Love” aren’t included). Of course, the team here at Film.com strongly believes that it’s crucial to celebrate those indie and foreign films that have yet to secure domestic distribution, and you can read our list of the year’s best undistributed films here.

I suppose it’s worth noting that I waited to finish and upload this video until I had seen all of the films that seemed pertinent, including those slated to be released later this month (the appropriate permissions were granted to express my opinion on anything that may still be embargoed). I wasn’t able to see “47 Ronin” or “Grudge Match”, so I guess I’ll look like a real idiot if they turn out to be major contenders. Otherwise, I guess I’ll have to stick with looking like an idiot for millions of other reasons.

Anyway, this was a lot of fun to cut together. While I don’t expect that you’ll agree with all of my choices (given that this is a ranked list of 25 films, it would be really strange if you did), I hope you enjoy watching this all the same. Thanks so much, and stay tuned to the end for a list of the music used and the 2013 films in which the songs appeared."

Yes, Joel McHale Saved The Train Wreck That Was Spike's VGX Awards

Last night was Spike’s VGX Awards. Don’t feel ashamed if you’ve never heard of the VGX Awards, though, or if you didn’t spend your Saturday watching the livestream of a three-hour award show filmed in a loft. You didn’t miss anything, other than a complete and total disaster.

McHale played the part of “dickish James Franco at the Oscars,” appearing bored by the material he was given and amusingly trolling everyone from the cameramen to the developers. It’s unclear whether everyone was in on the joke (unlikely) or McHale really did regret his decision to host (more likely). Tons of people on Twitter are pissed, but to those critics I say: IT’S AN AWARD SHOW ON YOUTUBE WHERE THEY TALKED ABOUT A CRANKY KONG GAME. McHale wasn’t attacking video game culture so much as torpedoing dumb, unnecessary award shows.

1, 2

painful....based on this video it seems like the whole award show equals what we saw on G4 before its demise: unfunny piles of shit. props to Joel for pushing through it tho

Aron Ralston, subject of the film 127 hours, arrested for assault

Aron Ralston, the hiker who cut off his forearm in order to free himself after becoming trapped by a dislodged boulder, was arrested by Denver Police for domestic violence.

Ralston, 38, was arrested Saturday night and is being held in the Denver City jail facing one count of assault and one count of wrongs to minors.

aron

Police arrested Ralston, whose harrowing experience trapped in a southeast Utah canyon was made into the 2010 movie, "127 Hours," at 642 Corona St., according to a Denver County Court document.

Denver property records list the owner the single-family residence as Vita Shannon, 38. Police arrested Shannon at the same time and address as Ralston, and she faces the same charges as those filed against Ralston.

In April 2003, Ralston was descending a slot canyon when a boulder he was climbing on became dislodged, crushing, and trapping, his right hand against the canyon wall.

After five days, he broke his radius and ulna bones and amputated the limb with a small knife included on his multitool.

He is scheduled for a hearing at 1 p.m. in Denver County Court on Monday.

Phil Collins Says He Is Writing Songs Again

Phil Collins, the former Genesis drummer whose earnest ballads made him a star in the 1980s, is penning songs again. Although he dreads the idea of extended touring because it would take him away from his five children, Collins says he has missed the creativity of music since he retired in 2010.

Collins spoke in Miami Beach on Wednesday. He was in town to promote the expansion of his nonprofit Little Dreams Foundation, which he co-founded with his now ex-wife Orianne Collins to help youth realize their artistic, musical and athletic dreams.

"I've decided I kind of missed that writing creative stuff, so I'm trying to get back into writing, and that's getting into a certain headspace and personal drive," he said.

There's no magic for getting into the groove, "just banging away at it," he said. Sometimes the lyrics come first, sometimes the music.

"I've got some lyrical ideas on paper that are good. I've started to thrash around at the piano. A lot of it is hit and miss," he said. "All you need is something to hang an idea on and you're off."

Collins got his start as the drummer for Genesis in the 1970s before becoming a solo star with hits such as "In the Air Tonight" and "Against All Odds."

Collins said putting on live shows is fun, but he doesn't like missing his children's birthdays.

"I've been like that pretty much most of my life, and I don't want to do that anymore," he said.

Collins has three adult children from his first two marriages and two young sons with Orianne. They divorced in 2008.

Pressed when he might it the road again, he said it wouldn't be before the end of next year. He didn't say whether it would be a solo show or a Genesis reunion.

Collins said he gets a kick out of watching his concerts with his young sons Nicholas and Matthew.

He said they ask him tough questions, like why he makes a crazy laugh on the single "Mama" from Genesis' 1983 self-titled album. The answer: It was tribute to the granddaddy of hip hop Grandmaster Flash.

"But they don't know who Grandmaster Flash is," he said. Collins credits his boys' interest in his concerts for encouraging him to even consider getting back on the stage.

Critics also give him pause about returning.

"I can't believe that amount of hate that is out there," he said, referring to the online reaction to his declaration earlier this year that he might consider touring.

Even after all these years, the Grammy- and Oscar-winning artist still takes critics to heart. Over the years, they've often panned his pop tunes for being safe, bland and overproduced.

"Knowing that I'm just thinking of it, and someone saying, 'No, God, please don't do that!' It kind of undermines your confidence," he said. "We're all sensitive chaps, you know."

Collins said he was pleasantly surprised at how certain songs have held up over time, such as "Easy Lover" and "In the Air Tonight," which was featured in the 1980's hit TV show "Miami Vice."

"That's going to be on my headstone. He came. He wrote 'In the Air Tonight.' He ... died."

As for his charity, Collins said he often used to receive letters from kids asking how to break into the music business, so he and Orianne decided to create the nonprofit to help those without resources get coaching, training and advice. At first, they turned to their friends in the music industry to serve as mentors and later expanded to sports and visual arts.

The Miami chapter is the first in the U.S. Children are selected based on talent, motivation and enthusiasm. Once accepted, they work with mentors, who have in the past included Tina Turner, Natalie Cole and others.

Collins doesn't promise the 10 or so youth who will be selected each year a guaranteed path to fame.

"But we're giving kids with the same kinds of ambitions I had solid ways to prepare," he said.

Collins said he was a lucky man.

"All I set out to do was to earn a living playing drums, you know? And as luck would have it, I've surpassed that."

One Direction close to signing reality show deal

One Direction are reportedly close to signing a deal for their own reality show.

The Story of My Life hitmakers are nearing a multi-million dollar deal for a ten-part series and it is said to be "pretty much" finalised.

Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday newspaper, an insider revealed: "Producers have met with the band's representatives and it's pretty much a done deal. Details are being ironed out, including budgets and when to film."

The band - Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne - would have cameras following their every move, and the show followers on from the huge success of their documentary film This Is Us.

Bosses at ITV - the British channel expected to air the show - are hoping it will be a big hit.

The source added: "They are at the top of their game and that will translate into big ratings."

While it was hoped the group would start filming early next year, it was recently revealed they will be taking a much-needed break over the New Year.

Niall has said: "We had a bit of time off after finishing the world tour but the new album came out last week so we are doing all the promo for that. Jet lag kills me. The flying is OK, I don't mind that - but the jet lag is a nightmare ... We've got some time off over Christmas. It will give us a chance to relax and enjoy it with the family. We are busy but you just have to get on with it."
