- Following rumors yesterday, several media outlets have confirmed that Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Swift, James Corden, and Ian McKellen have been cast in the upcoming movie version of the musical “Cats.”
- Directed by Tom Hooper, the Oscar-winning director of “The King’s Speech", and the screenplay by Lee Hall of “Billy Elliot”
- Hudson will play Grizabella while the others roles are unknown
- The film begins shooting this November in Britain

Ariana's team has been rolling out her tracklist for Sweetner on it's own Instagram page and she has confirmed the Dear Ben by J.Lo jumped out and she has a song called "Pete". Her fans are unamused and Ariana had some comments to say about it, defending her Gummy Jon Cryer.

• Weetzie Bat, the 1980's YA book by Francesca Lia Block, is being turned into a film directed by Justin Kelly, with a screenplay written by Block.


• Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch) will star as the titular character, with Nick Robinson (Love, Simon), Sasha Lane (American Honey), Keiynan Lonsdale (Love, Simon) and Theodore Pellerin (Boy Erased) co-starring.


• Plot summary: "Weetzie is an ethereal pixie living in 1980s Los Angeles, where she grew up the child of an alcoholic starlet mother and a junkie screenwriter father. She teams up with her Mohawked best friend Dirk (Pellerin) to find love, leading her to mysterious trenchcoat-wearing filmmaker Max (Robinson) and platinum-haired surfer Duck (Lonsdale). But when their bliss is threatened by deaths, breakups and Max’s witchy and bitter ex-girlfriend Vixanne (Lane), Weetzie must take off her pink harlequin sunglasses in order to confront life’s darkness and find happiness in a city known as much for the glamour of fame and fortune as the darkness of cults and crime."

After months of speculation, Robert Kirkman (creator of the Walking Dead comic/source material and executive producer of the tv show) has confirmed that series lead Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) is leaving the show during the upcoming ninth season.

Kirkman was asked about the rumors during an interview for imdb conducted by Kevin Smith. He started out trying to hedge a bit, saying "It's looking that way" before just straight up acknowledging it.

"It does make the differences between the comic and the show more pronounced. But at the end of the day, it's all about Andrew Lincoln. This is a human being. This is someone I have known for almost a decade, somebody that I love. He's been sweating in Georgia, away from his family, for so long." (Lincoln has a wife and two kids, ages 8 and 11, who spend most of the year in England for the kids' school).

"[Lincoln] cares about the fans. He cares about the show deeply. He wants to do something special on the way out. We have something amazing planned. I wouldn't want to spoil anything, but anybody who has been a fan of his journey, who loves Rick Grimes, who loves the world of The Walking Dead, you're going to want to see what we do."

Norman Reedus (Daryl) is believed to be taking over as series lead.
