I hope you got paid, we're going shopping. No? Bring your credit cards. Don't have any? Just come, we'll buy you a mall pretzel. Songs about shopping are nothing new, and man, there are several. No, I didn't forget your song  - I narrowed it down to five six that made sense to me to post on ONTD. Feel free to share your personal favorites. And yes, butter is a carb.



That's right, I'm coming straight out the gate with hot fire and Carly Rae Jepsen herself. Normally we save Jepsen for the end of these lists, but I couldn't think of anyone else worthy enough to lead this thing other than the Queen herself. Store is a song off SIDE B of E•MO•TION, released in 2016. While the song isn't necessarily about shopping, but rather an excuse Rae uses to let her boyfriend know she's breaking up with him. But instead of, you know, just saying that, she says she's just going to the store. A break up and shopping anthem! You know how we pre-party to songs on a Friday night before clubbing? Well, this is a pre-shopping bawp we play before we hit the grocery store. Go easy on me, laqueeta. I'll listen to Higher right after this, I promise.

Oh, wow, another certified Canadian shopping anthem! I'm seeing a trend here. Robin Sparkles is a fictional teenage Canadian pop star. The existence of Robin Sparkles was first revealed in Season two of How I Met Your Mother, episode nine titled Slap Bet​​. When Robin refuses to go to an event at a mall and doesn't want to explain why, Barney begins to investigate why and finds the music video online. Robin explains she had a minor hit in Canada and had to tour several malls singing this song. "For a whole year I lived off Orange Julius' and Wetzel's Pretzels," explains Robin in this hilarious episode.

- He claims his daughter (who was allegedly Harper's teacher at her old school, Pembridge) has never met David. (surejan.gif)
- Feels that his daughter has been linked to 'fake news' because she's an attractive girl.
- The girl lives 'happily with her boyfriend' and leads a normal life.
- She has since deleted all of her social media accounts, after pictures of her started to circulate the net.
- Reps for the Beckhams had previously made a statement stating it was all 'very bizarre and an embarrassing waste of time. There is no statement due, no divorce, and a lot of chinese whispers.'

After Alice, Kim Kardashian Is Committed to Prison Reform

After Alice Marie Johnson was freed from Prison on Wednesday, Kim Kardashian West sat down with Mic’s Jordan Horowitz to discuss what it felt like to have played an instrumental role in Alice’s case being commuted.

In the interview:
-Kim says she got to break the news to Alice, they cried on the phone together for 3 minutes.
-Kim will be meeting with Alice in the coming week to thank her first and foremost for being such a strong woman.
-Kim wishes she could have been there in person to greet Alice as she as freed but knows Alice needs to get back to her family first and catch up on lost time.
-Kim says her heart has never felt so full.
-Kim says she isn’t an expert on the subject but knows there are over 3,000 people in prison serving life sentences for first time offenses and nonviolent crimes.
-Kim says she is assembling a bigger team of lawyers, political advisors and advocates to really work on prison reform and getting more people pardoned, sentences commuted or granted clemency.
-Kim wants to use her platform and voice to do good and really work on prison reform.
-She also reiterated she does not agree with Trump or his policies and approached this like a business meeting.

Vince Vaughn Arrested for DUI

Vaughn was arrested for DUI early this morning at a checkpoint in Manhattan Beach. He had a passenger in his car.

UPDATE: Both Vaughn and the (male) passenger were uncooperative and refused to get out of the car at first. The passenger was also booked and charged with public intoxication and obstruction. Vaughn was also charged with obstruction, as well as the DUI charge.

Both men have posted bail and been released.

'Real Housewife' Teresa Giudice Is a Bodybuilder Now

'Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice competed at the South Jersey Bodybuilding Championships on Saturday. She came in third out of eight contestants.

A source told Page Six that 46-year-old Giudice has been training 5 or 6 days a week since December and has "drastically" changed her diet.

After leaving prison in 2015 (for a bankruptcy and wire fraud conviction), Giudice has committed herself to fitness. She became a yoga instructor in 2016 and has plans to release a yoga DVD.

Spotify's Secret Genius, which aims to highlight the contribution these writers and production team members make to the music industry and artists' careers, teamed up with her label, Keep Cool/RCA Records and her management S10 for a songshop


  • London on the Track (Drake's Sneaking), Ben Billions (Beyoncé's 6 INCH, The Weeknd's Party Monster), Jude Demorest (Fifth harmony's Work From Home) and more were among the "geniuses" there at the three-days workshop in LA, which featured 4 studios with producers and writers in each rooms.

  • “Normani’s team sent over a playlist of songs that inspire her, and at that point, I knew we had to partner with her and Keep Cool for a Secret Genius Songshop to make her new music come to life,” Spotify’s global head of songwriter relations said

  • The playlist of inspirations includes old-school Beyoncé, Mya, Lauryn Hill and Aaliyah blend with Rihanna and H.E.R. to paint a picture of a '90s R&B dream with a modern twist

The Washington Capitals haven't stopped partying since winning the Stanley Cup

On Thursday night, the Washington Capitals won the Stanley Cup for the first time in their team's history. Conveniently enough, they won in Las Vegas, and proceeded to party into the wee hours of the night. Team captain Alexander Ovechkin may or may not still be drunk. Let's chronicle what's been going on...



Pics/videos of all tomfoolery are at the source, but to sum it up:

-Ovechkin was spotted drinking out of the Cup at a club that Tiesto was playing at
-John Carlson carried the cup through the MGM at 4:25 a.m. Friday morning, with teammate Matt Niskanen as his bodyguard
-Ovechkin threw the opening pitch at the Washington Nationals game, proceeded to have a few drinks, and repeatedly lifted the cup in the stands during an inning - the camera crew couldn't show this, as the ball was in play on the field
-The team proceeded to jump into a fountain in Georgetown and do snow angels; some were fully clothed and Ovechkin was half naked
-The team drunkenly sang Blink 182's "All The Small Things" on a tour bus
-Popping into Cafe Milano, the team ran into Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner

The Stanley Cup Parade is on Tuesday, so the partying will likely continue for the next few days.

Jackson Odell was found June 8 at a home in Tarzana, CA. No cause of death was revealed and an autopsy is pending.

His brother shared this statement:

"The Odell family has lost our beloved son and brother, Jackson Odell. He will always be a shining light and a brilliant, loving and talented soul. He had so much more to share. Our family will always carry that truth forward. Our wish is that the rest of the world does as well. We are now going to try to make sense of our immeasurable loss privately."

Danny Kirwan, Fleetwood Mac Guitarist, Dies at 68

Danny Kirwan, who joined Fleetwood Mac at 18 and appeared on 5 of their albums, died on June 8 in London. Mick Fleetwood, one of the founding members of the band, shared a statement on Facebook:

“Today was greeted by the sad news of the passing of Danny Kirwan in London, England. Danny was a huge force in our early years. His love for the Blues led him to being asked to join Fleetwood Mac in 1968, where he made his musical home for many years. Danny’s true legacy, in my mind, will forever live on in the music he wrote and played so beautifully as a part of the foundation of Fleetwood Mac, that has now endured for over fifty years. Thank you, Danny Kirwan. You will forever be missed!”

Stranger buys $500 dress for singer-songwriter Caroline Polachek

  • Caroline Polachek (formerly of pop duo Chairlift) visited a vintage shop in LA

  • She tried on a custom Loris Azzaro gown from the 1950s

  • The dress originally belonged to legendary screenplay writer Frances Kavanaugh (“the Cowgirl of the Typewriter”), one of the first noted female screenwriters to work in Hollywood

  • Polachek tried the dress on* and went to the counter to ask the price ($500). "An older guy in a Batman t-shirt" standing there said, “‘Oh, that dress looks amazing. You have to have it.”

  • The man bought the dress for her while she was changing out of it in the dressing room, and left before she reappeared

  • He didn't leave his name, but the cashier knew he was a DC Comics writer who also worked on recent Marvel films

  • He was in the store to buy a gift certificate for a friend who was going through a tough time. Polachek said, "He was in there to make her day, and he ended up making both of our days. If you’re writing about superheroes all the time, maybe doing something like that feels kind of normal.”
