Ryan Gosling stars in Damien Chazelle's latest Oscar-bait, the Neil Armstrong biopic "First Man." Claire Foy plays Armstrong's wife Janet.
Chazelle says of Gosling and Foy: "Ryan and Claire Foy had never worked together, but I remember right from the beginning they just slipped into these roles, and just became a family on camera,” he says. “There was this sort of chemistry and bond between Ryan and Claire onscreen that really felt like the young Neil and Janet Armstrong that I had read about."
First Man opens October 12th.

- The Public Theater has announced its 17/18 season with a couple of celebrities on the roster.
- Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Sturridge will star in a pair of solo shows called Sea Wall/A Life. Sturridge will perform Simon Stephens' Sea Wall, a "monologue about love and the human need to know the unknowable"; Gyllenhaal will perform Nick Payne's A Life, "a meditation on how we say goodbye to those we love most".
- Glenn Close will star in Jane Anderson's Mother of the Maid, about the mother of Joan of Arc.

Alice Marie Johnson has been in federal prison for over 20 years for a non-violent drug offense. Last week, Kim Kardashian West met with Donald Trump for less than an hour to discuss prison reform. Trump has now granted clemency to Johnson. No word yet on how Trump plans to address the thousands of other people who are in federal prison for non-violent drug offenses.

- is not good communicator with people partly because of her ADHD,
- she is learning to be better at making sure she doesn’t feel lonely,
- tries to have people she can rely on around her,
- her work is about thinking some people might listen to her music and think they’re less of a freak because somebody else gone through the same things.

In relation to the 5 Singers With Indie-Style Singing (ONTD Original) post, the former Victorious actress Liz Gilles did an IG rant recently about how singers are singing in a particular way, even without having that certain speaking accent.
While she did not mention any names, some people considered this a jab like artists SZA, H*lsey, and Khalid.

A pleasant surprise for remaining Twilight fans, stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were spotted together over the weekend—the first time in years. The former lovers/alleged spouses and co-parents both attended Lily-Rose Depp's birthday party at the Chateau Marmont.
An eyewitness said the pair talked for a few minutes while Stewart smoked a cigarette and they seemed to be on good terms.
