Not to be confused with actor Sterling K. Brown. A new video of six officers stepping on Brown's ankles have surfaced and what seems to be an attempted coverup after realizing he is an NBA and there will be a media firestorm in videos obtained by WISN-TV. Brown was arrested in January after parking across two disability spaces outside a Walgreens.
Brown was pinned down to the ground while an officer is seen stepping on his ankles while another officer tasers him. At one point Brown asks the officers why they stepping on him, the officers responded so that Brown doesn't kick them.
Brown then replies he has no reason to kick them. It seems to dawn on the officers that he is indeed the NBA Milwaukee Bucks player. Brown was taken in an ambulance due to injuries from the officers. One officer then calls to ensure that he will receive overtime pay for the incident which occured in the early morning hours. The officer jokingly references the O'Jays classic "For the Love of Money".The squad car captures a conversation between two officers:
"The bureau is coming out for this? ... We're trying to protect ourselves .. because he plays for the Bucks, and if he makes a complaint, it's going to be a [expletive]. ... And then any little [expletive] thing that goes wrong is going to be, 'Ooh, the Milwaukee Police Department is all racist.... blah, blah, blah. "
Brown was not charged in the incident but plans to file a lawsuit.
