One Million Moms Not Swallowing Kmart’s Jingle Balls Without A Fight

$

Those stalwart guardians of morality and good Christian values, One Million Moms, have taken serious offense at Kmart for their ode to boy joy, the “Show Your Joe” commercial.

Now, usually OMM doesn’t provide links to the cause of their outrage for fear of contributing “to this filth being spread around even more” but this time they “made an exception” to show how cute and adorable “ridiculous and disgusting” the ad is:

Kmart (Sears Brands, LLC) has a new commercial that is not only offensive — but this once family department store has made a deliberate decision to produce controversial advertisements instead of wholesome ones. This is a terrible plan on Kmart’s part, especially at this time of year!

The title of the current ad is “Show Your Joe,” and Kmart includes sexual content during a Christmas hand bell choir performance. The commercial focuses on several men wearing Joe Boxer underwear thrusting in a sexualized way to the tune of Jingle Bells. They start gyrating and shaking themselves instead of the hand bells, intending to make their “bells” ring in song — which is highly inappropriate.

Clutch the pearls! There’s“thrusting”! And “gyrating”! And “shaking”! Their “bells”! In a “sexualized! Way“! Whoever wrote this press release clearly needs a cold bath in a large tub. But if the One Million Moms are so hard-pressed about the gentlejinglers using their bells instead of hand bells, why don’t they just roll up those sweater-set sleeves and lend ‘em a hand? Be the solution, not the problem.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII japanese promo + game will have dual audio

Square Enix made a live action commercial with an actress playing Lightning to promote Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. Having actors stand in for RPG characters is kind of nostalgic for Japan. Both Square and Enix (years before they were one entity) did this for Super Nintendo games like Dragon Quest V and Final Fantasy VI (Terra!).

Square Enix announced on Thursday that its release of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII in the Americas and Europe will feature the original Japanese audio track as downloadable content. The DLC will be available for free for the first two weeks after the game ships in the West, and then will be available as paid content. Square Enix noted that the Japanese-language DLC will include the original lip-synching, which differs from the lip-synching for the English-language voice track.

moshi moshi, lightning-desu.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII shipped in Japan on Thursday. The game will arrive in the United States on February 11, 2014, and then in Europe on February 14, 2014.

Players who pre-order the game in North America and Europe will be able to unlock Cloud's uniform and buster sword as equipment for Lightning. Lightning is also getting a Yuna costume from Final Fantasy X and various samurai costumes, as well as an Aerith Gainsborough costume and guard rod weapon from Final Fantasy VII, and a Miqo'te costume from Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn with shields with motifs from the game's three city-states: Limsa Lominsa, Gridania, and Ul'dah.

The game will represent the final chapter in Lightning's story. The game centers around a 13-day countdown until the end of the world, and players must save humanity within 13 days and 13 nights. (what's that? Majora's Mask? Did you say Majora's Mask?)

idgaf, I like Lightning as a character. Maybe this game will finally give her depth. Also ppl need to stop bitching. This game will wrap up her story finally.

Clint Eastwood's daughter got super bad in Vegas last week ... the reality star got hitched to Jonah Hill's brother ... TMZ has learned.

We got hold of the marriage license -- filed with the Clark County Recorder's Office -- showing Francesca Eastwood and Jordan Feldstein sealed the deal Sunday.

Our sources say vows were said at the Simple Wedding Chapel ... a quickie marriage spot that offers Elvis witnesses.

But the marriage is shrouded in mystery!  Francesca was out in Hollywood Thursday night and she wasn't wearing a wedding ring.  So was it a drunken escapade or the real deal?  Only Elvis knows.

BTW ... Jordan isn't just some Jonah Hill hanger-on, he manages Adam Levine and Robin Thicke.

Bellamy Young for Interview Magazine!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

As First Lady Mellie Grant on ABC's Emmy-winning drama Scandal, Bellamy Young resists playing the victim. In spite of her husband's indiscretions, Mellie is more Lady Macbeth than put-upon-housewife. Born in North Carolina and educated at Yale, Scandal is not Young's first hit television show. Before marrying the fictitious President, Young starred on Scrubs, Dirty Sexy Money, and Criminal Minds. We asked the actress to share the 10 things she "just can't live without."

Animals: If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that if anything furry, feathered, or scaled is in the room, I am going to need to touch it. I may need to be stopped from taking it home, feeding it too much, and spoiling it shamelessly. This includes raccoons and barracudas. I am incorrigible. And unrepentant.

Mountains: I long to be safe in the embrace of mountains; I feel so exposed on a plain or at the beach. Nestle me gently in the woodsy arms of a mountainside, preferably beside a waterfall, and I am in heaven.

Music: Music is my true solace. Alpha and omega of catharsis and inspiration, it transports me, it reveals me, it saves me time and again. Music is the greatest drug.

Story: I think one of the deepest human needs is to be heard. Be it through the construct of script, sculpture, dance, or more innocently—by the way we board a train, lift a child, sip tea, we are always telling our story. I live to listen and always marvel at the way truth reveals itself. Every moment, I can't wait to see how it all turns out.

Avocado toast: Simple pleasures are so often the best, and this one never fails to deliver. A gorgeous, hearty bread, a glowing avocado, the perfect olive oil, and a dash of a fabulous salt—what could be better?

Exploring: I love to get lost, because I love to find my way again. Whether it's hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains or navigating the winding streets of Kathmandu, I live for the adventure. Preferably on foot. Then you really own the victory, and you never forget the journey.

The New York Times Sunday crossword: It soothes me. And often amuses me. And always teaches me a little something. Combine this with a vanilla /sandalwood candle and Glenn Gould's Bach: 2 & 3 Part Inventions for the perfect cocktail of calm.

Shiseido Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizer Moisturizer: Been using it since college. Others? They come and go, but in this case, the oldie is definitely the goodie.

Meditation: Life is loud. At the end of each day, I have to sit quietly and release the cacophony of shoulds, musts, need-to's, and forgot-to's until I can hear that small but strong voice that is mine. I don't like to take the detritus of the day into my dreams.

Laughter: Ultimately, I think the most important thing in this life is laughter. It releases. It bonds. It heals. We laugh with each other and at ourselves, but fundamentally, laughter is a joyful forgiveness of our amusingly flawed humanity. We lift up that noise together and then we can all move on to whatever adventure is next.

Lady Gaga has announced that she's been busy planning an 'ARTPOP' tour, telling her 40 million Twitter followers that they should expect a "rave of epic dance party proportions".

The 'Born This Way' creator is currently putting together plans for a spectacular tour, which is expected to take place in 2014 and include concerts in her native USA and in the UK.

Gaga is busy planning an 'ARTPOP' tour

Gaga excitedly revealed the news to fans via the micro-blogging site Twitter, giving fans a sneaky clue of what she's putting together.

"We are planning the tour, I repeat we are planning a RAVE of epic dance partying proportions with piano cabaret and ME performing LIVE," she tweeted.

The 'Poker Face' singer is no stranger to huge world tours and completed a 98-date 'Born This Way Ball' to promote her second studio album of the same name. Fans will have to wait and see what Gaga pulls out of the bag this time but if her recent performances are anything to go by, the superstar will deliver a show-stopping tour.

At last month's YouTube Music Awards, the 27-year-old performed a rousing piano rendition of latest single 'Dope' while a G-A-Y surprise set saw Gaga strip off completely naked.

Hours after chatting about her tour plans, Gaga unveiled a promo video for her upcoming Thanksgiving special TV show which included snippets of the star alongside The Muppets' Kermit The Frog and Miss Piggy, as well as revealing she'll be performing a duet with Sir Elton John.

The 'Bad Romance' singer recently announced that she's going to be the first recording artist to perform in Outer Space, at the Zero G Colony 'Festival Of the Future'. Gaga will make her trip into space on a Virgin Galactic flight, two months after Richard Branson's company launch the first commercial flight in 2015.

Billy Ray Cyrus asked a room full of people to quiet down and pay respect to JFK on the 50th anniversary of his death today ... but none of them did ... and it got weird.

The whole thing happened during an interview with Ali Fedotowsky for Will Calder & Lucy Lopez's WPOW Miami show at a crowded press junket in L.A.

B.R.C. is being interviewed at the table next to them ... when suddenly he leaps out of his chair and calls for everyone to quiet down and pay respect to JFK.

Only problem ... there's a whole bunch of interviews going down ... and nobody listens.

Watch the clip ... everyone's reaction is classic.

Scarlett Johansson's Voice Could Win an Oscar (and Make History)

$

Actress' performance in sci-fi romance 'Her' has thrilled critics, but can she set Oscars precedent?

SCARLETT JOHANSSON is set to make history by being nominated for an acting Oscar for a role in which she doesn't appear on screen.

The 28-year-old actor has wowed critics with her performance as Samantha in Her, the latest film by US director Spike Jonze. Johansson plays Samantha, a sophisticated software program that communicates using a synthetic voice.

"Think of Apple's Siri function, then add years and years of technical evolution, then put Blade Runner into the back of your mind, and you're close to what we see in Spike Jonze's Her," writes Jack de Aguilar on Contactmusic.com.

Her, which also stars Joaquin Pheonix as a man who falls in love with Samantha, has been a critics' favourite since it made its debut at the Rome Film Festival last week. Johansson was confirmed as a serious Oscars contender after winning Rome's best actress award for the voice-only role.

Variety's Tim Gray says "there's no precedent" for an actor who doesn't appear on screen being nominated for an acting Oscar. But he says Johansson deserves recognition and it's time to "dump some old notions" about acting.

"Let's abolish the idea that an actor needs to be seen on camera in order to give a 'real' performance," he writes. "Scarlett Johansson creates a full character in Her so she should be seriously considered for supporting actress."

Gray says that some Hollywood commentators worry that if Johansson is nominated it will "open the floodgates and the next step would be nominations for voice actors in animated films".

That shouldn't be a concern, he says. If Ellen DeGeneres had been nominated for her voice work in Finding Nemo, or Eddie Murphy had got the nod for voicing Shrek, "civilization would have survived and some talented artists would have received their due recognition".

Gray continues: "It's the 21st century, gang! And, whether the actor's face is seen or not, a terrific performance will endure. So why not recognize the accomplishment?"

The nominees for the 2014 Academy Awards are announced on 16 January. A UK release date for Her has not been announced.

The new Billboard 200's top 10 will be revealed on Wednesday, Nov. 27.

On SoundScan's Building chart (below), Eminem returns to No. 1, while Five Finger Death Punch is new at No. 2 and the “Catching Fire” No. 3. The Building tally is a precursor to the final Billboard 200 ranking -- reflecting the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week as reported by six major merchants.

Because of how Building Chart is compiled, the rankings can sometimes be misleading in relation to what the final Billboard 200 will look like.
