A follow-up to this post

Clayne Crawford was recently fired from his role as co-lead of the Fox TV show Lethal Weapon after reports surfaced of two incidents where he had to be reprimanded on set for inappropriate behavior.

But he has at least one supporter among his castmates: Hilarie Burton, who plays Karen Palmer on the show, responded to a fan inquiry on Twitter by singing his praises with this post:

Crawford responded:

Burton's comment has also been re-tweeted by their castmate Kevin Rahm (Captain Avery).

A new horror movie starring Toni Collette is celebrating Mother's Day with a creepy promo, and trolling Twitter users with the hashtag #GotItFromMyMom. The hashtag is accompanied by an emoji form of the iconic Toni Collette screaming.

She calls it a "Tonimoji"

Official Synopsis from the movie's website:
When Ellen, the matriarch of the Graham family, passes away, her daughter's family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited. Making his feature debut, writer-director Ari Aster unleashes a nightmare vision of a domestic breakdown that exhibits the craft and precision of a nascent auteur, transforming a familial tragedy into something ominous and deeply disquieting, and pushing the horror movie into chilling new terrain with its shattering portrait of heritage gone to hell.

These are the bloopers

This video has some bloopers that are not featured in the first video such as Lupita Nyong'o shimmying to stay warm while cracking up Chadwick Boseman and Danai Gurira.

Note: These aren't the same deleted scenes that I posted a couple of weeks ago. They've released two more deleted scenes since then.

Description of the scene:

This scene opens with T'Challa and Nakia as children playing with each other. T'Chaka then calls up T'Challa and tells him about a "difficult choice" that he had to make. They share a father-son moment afterwards.

Description of the scene:

T'Challa, Nakia, Okoye, and Ayo are at the United Nations, and Agent Ross tries to dissuade T'Challa from revealing Wakanda's secret to the world.

ONTD Original: Musicians who got into acting

$
0
0
For many musicians, once they've conquered the music world Hollywood comes calling. This results in varying levels of success. Some just do it once because a particular role was perfect for them, some show that they actually can act, and some never get it quite right. There have been performances that garner Oscars and others that become punchlines. This post is dedicated to those musicians who swapped the stage for the screen.

This isn't comprehensive by any means to feel free to include your own favorites in the comments! Also there are a few, like Disney/Nick kids who got their starts on TV shows, that I'm not including because it's not really surprising that they've gone back into acting.

Lead singer of Bush and Gwen Stefani's ex Gavin Rosdale started out with small roles in Zoolander and Little Black Book, but really broke out as an actor in the 2004 film Constantine starring Keanu Reeves. He's had a few roles since, mostly on TV, but nothing major.

Before her tragic death, Aaliyah was becoming quite an actress. She starred in Romeo Must Die, had finished filming Queen of the Damned (although her brother had to finish some of the overdubs), and was set to star in Honey as the title character, who was instead played by Jessica Alba.

This video quality is bad, but has bonus DMX!

Beyoncé is rumored to have a picture of an Oscar in front of her treadmill as motivation. Whether that's true or not she's certainly given it the old college try with acting. Beginning in 2001 with Carmen: A Hip Hopera, making her way into comedies with Austin Powers in Goldmember and The Pink Panther, being nominated for a Golden Globe for Dreamgirls, and now voicing Nala in Disney's live-action version of The Lion King, she's no stranger to the screen.

Although she was technically billed as a supporting actress, Jennifer Hudson was the breakout star of Dreamgirls. She won a Golden Globe, BAFTA, and an Oscar for her portrayal of Effie White. She's had minor roles since then in both movies and on TV.

I know "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going" is the quintessential song from the part but I love this one.

When you look like a creep you might as well play one on TV, and Marilyn Manson has put his looks and personality to good use by playing weirdos. He had a recurring role on Sons of Anarchy as an imprisoned leader of the Aryan Brotherhood where he got to have swastika tattoos and say the n word.

This was never a hit and even my old ass didn't remember it from 1992, but I'm including it just because the trailer is so awesome. Mick Jagger plays a mercenary (lol) in the dystopian hellhole of 2009.

Honorable mentions for cameos:

Anthony Kiedis as an asshole surfer in Point Bread

Ric Ocasek in Hairspray (which also starred Sonny Bono, Debbie Harry and Vitamin C)

Also the whole reason for this post is that Kevin Ray, bass player for Walk the Moon, will be guesting on Elementary on Monday night. Kevin recently moved from Indianapolis to LA, so I wouldn't be shocked if he does more acting in the future. Here's a preview of his scene that I can't get to embed, but check it out!

Thirst Aid Kit is a newish podcast by Buzzfeed, that examines "why we desire who we desire through conversation, original fanfic, and fantasies that take us by surprise...like a lion would a gazelle."

Previous episodes include: Gael Garcia Bernal , Michael B. Jordan , Oscar Issac, Chris Evans (ft Chris Evans) , Colin Farrell, John Cho, and Tom Hiddleston??

This week, they explored what makes us thirsty for Jake Gyllenhaal.

"Let's talk about the good, the bad, and the method of Jake Gyllenhaal. Jake, with his pretty cow eyes, that chameleon face of his, that breath control perfect for the stage... and elsewhere. From bleakly funny Donnie Darko to the heartbreaking tenderness of Brokeback Mountain to the intense Southpaw (and yes, even the atrocious Prince of Persia), Jake has always been one to watch."

Fifth Harmony take a bittersweet final bow together at their final show

Fifth Harmony performed their final show in the United States at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL last night. Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui & Dinah Jane were all smiles as they took their final bow as a foursome together at the end of their sold-out show. A quick timeline on how we got here:

• December 19th 2016, Karla Camila Cabello left the group to pursue her solo career and to record a solo album of purely her own vocals. Our ears will never be the same.

• The group continued as a foursome and released their self-titled third studio album on August 25, 2017.

• On March 12th 2018, LegendAlly signs with Britney Spears' manager Larry Rudolph to manage her solo music & career.

• March 19th 2018, the group announces their official hiatus.

• April 9th, 2018, Normani Kordei announces she had departed Epic Records (for her solo music at least) and signs a solo deal with Keep Cool / RCAncient Records. Girl, best of luck.

• On May 11th, 2018, the group performs their final show together before going on their official hiatus to pursue their own solo endeavorers. The end of an era.

i think the answer is quite obvious.

jack-antonoff-supports-lena-dunham-after-hysterectomy-reveal.jpg

Lena Dunham opened up recently about her breakup with Jack Antonoff, who was her partner for over five years. It was a hard time going back to loving being single for her.

"We sat in our shared kitchen of nearly four years and quietly faced each other, acknowledging what nobody wanted to say,” Dunham wrote in an essay for Vogue. During the process, she had to love being single again.

"For an exquisite moment, rather than mourn the loss of my partner, I mourned the loss of my bravery,” Dunham said. “I used to have no problem staring into the face of the hostess [in a restaurant] when I said, ‘Just one for dinner, thank you.'” To help get back to her normal self, she would take long baths, read poetry books, go back to restaurants solo, and eventually moved out of her parent's place.

Since the breakup, the two remained in close contact during Lena's hysterectomy. He took the home they shared in Brooklyn when she moved in with her parents. No word on anything about Lorde.

John McEnroe: Trump Offered Me $1,000,000 to Play Against a Williams Sister

$

John McEnroe was interviewed on In Depth with Graham Bensinger this week, and he revealed that in 1998, he was passed an envelope while he was calling a tennis match. Inside was an offer from Donald Trump of $1 million if he would agree to play a "Battle of the Sexes" match against either Venus or Serena Williams.

This apparently happened shortly after the Williams' sisters - who were still teenagers in 1998 and had not yet won any major tournaments - made a public claim that they could defeat any male player outside the Top 200 in the rankings.

McEnroe, who was 39 at the time, turned down the offer (although he says he's confident that he could have won). Both Williams sisters did play a Battle of the Sexes match against German tennis player Karsten Braasch at the Australian Open later that same year (Braasch won both matches).

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After - Season 3 Trailer

Did you miss OP's trash posts? She knows you did and now they'll be coming back in full force with the new season of The Learning Channel's 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After. This is a spin off to the greatest trash reality show of all time. Now the couples' nuptials are finished and we follow them as they just struggle. Under the cut are the couples returning for some more notoriety. The second name mentioned is the "significant other" not from the States.

Jorge and Anfisa - he's broke, she has the most basic luxury taste and have been off an on since their debut on the show. But Jorge might have some baby mama drama and it ain't with Anfisa. No word is Maury Povich will be making guest appearance.

Bahtman and Annie - he's even more broke and Annie must deal with David's petulant children and weird ass friend, Chris. No word if his tacos are burning.

Nicole and Azan - good gawd, OP just can't do this anymore. There's been some conflicting evidence about whether Azan got his K1 visa, but Nicole is still probably going to be emotionally manipulative. #FreeMae or #FreeMay - however this kid's name is spelled

Molly and Luis - My favorite bra fitting scammer is back and Luis is probably still making gross comments to Olivia, Molly's 17 year old daughter.

Russ and Pao - *OP instantly falls asleep*

Chantel and Pedro - From the trailer, it looks like Our Perfect Comedic Timing Linguistic King Pedro is going to throw hands at Chantel's family. Montagues and Capulets hew?

This mess debuts next Sunday, May 20th.
