Azealia Banks Stops by The Breakfast Club, Puts Foot in Mouth

$
0
0

  • Azealia Banks finally got what she wanted, an interview on the Breakfast Club to express her opinions on everything. While there are a lot of good things in this interview, Azealia would follow them up with some more glaring ignorance.

  • Azealia discussed why she voted for Donald Trump: "I like my racists racist. I took a chance on an outsider and at least I got a tax break out of it."

  • She also said that she would never vote for Hillary Clinton because it's a win for white women only and white women didn't need another win, since they win every single day. She also called Hillary a covert racist and said she would rather vote for someone who is honest in their racism than someone is calling her an N word behind closed doors.

  • She also discussed her dislike of Cardi B and how Cardi B is bringing the black women down. She talks about how we were just coming off intelligent conversations with Beyonce's Lemonade and then Cardi B came along "Stupid and illiterate" and her stripper image is bringing black women down.

  • She says Cardi B being the hottest female rapper right now is a joke because we shouldn't be rewarding her stupidity when so may few female rappers get the chance she is getting.

  • She stans out for Nicki Minaj throughout the interview.

  • She calls out RZA, calls him a coon for siding with Russell Crowe. She says RZA siding with Russell Crowe over the assault made their movie flop.

  • She said RZA isn't the man he puts himself out to be and he's a massive cokehead, always strung out and desperate for money.

  • She also said people should forget her past indiscretions because she was at a different point in her life and not in the right mind and she should be allowed to have another chance.

  • She also discussed her rape. She said it was a white man because black men don't  drug women to rape them.

  • She said she was already drunk, he slipped something in her drink whe she wasn't looking. She invited him back up to her hotel room where they drank a bunch more.

  • She said she got naked and started dancing around the room. Before she knew it, he was eating her ass.

  • She said then she felt her body get heavy and he tried to have sex with her.

  • She also said whatever drug he gave her made her pussy dry and that he couldn't penetrate her because of how dry she was.

  • She said once she realized she was on drugs she didn't know about, she collapsed on her bed, cried and he left.

  • She ends up just calling it a messy dry hump.

Former Chicago Detective J.J. Bittenbinder isn't Amused by John Mulaney's New Netflix Special

$

-John Mulaney dedicated about ten minutes in his latest standup special Kid Gorgeous to J.J. Bittenbinder, an eccentric retired Chicago cop who use to visit schools to give a presentation about how to avoid stranger danger.

-During a short interview with the Chicago Tribune, Bittenbinder said he "didn't appreciate" Mulaney making fun of his last name which really means barrel-maker in German. Bittenbinder says this is an "honorable profession that my ancestors used to do."

-In addition Bittnebinder takes umbrage with Mulaney describing him as wearing a big cowboy hat with a three piece suit because, "You don’t wear a three-piece suit with a cowboy hat. That just doesn’t work. Doesn't look good."

-Bittenbinder says Mulaney mixed up his presentation to children and his presentation to adults. In particular, the portion in which Mulaney claims that Bittenbinder suggested to children that they carry around a money clip with $50 in it to throw at potiential kidnappers. According to Bittenbinder, the money clip tip was part of his adult presentations.

-Ultimately, Bittenbinder says that "If I talked to him when he was 7 or 8 and he still remembers some of that stuff, it must have gotten through to him."

Ten of the Best Moments of Dear White People (Season 2)

$
0
0

The second season of Dear White people was released two weeks ago. Let's look at some of the best moments!

sam

Volume 2, Chapter I

Quote:"Fuck these people, Jo. They don't get to do this."
What happens: Sam breaks down after the troll 'AltIvyW' escalates his racist attacks against her.

joelle

Volume 2, Chapter II

Quote:"I've been having this on my mind for a long time."
What happens: Joelle confesses her feelings to Reggie and gets her heart broken.

coco

Volume 2, Chapter IV

Quote:"Is Coco Conners here?"
What happens: Coco finds out she is pregnant and daydreams about child she would raise, the life she would live as a single mother. She still decides to go through with the abortion.

Volume 2, Chapter V

Quote:"Oh, let's take down the black man."
What happens: Joelle's budding romance with another student comes to an abrupt end when he reveals his bigoted opinions.

Volume 2, Chapter III

Quote: "Thank god for cell phones, huh?"
What happens: Lionel gets dragged from one Pride party to the next, but struggles to feel at ease - until he meets Wesley.

gabe

Volume 2, Chapter VIII

Quote: "You're so full of shit, Gabe. You think you're coming at this from some objective, journalistic place and you're not."
What happens: Sam and Gabe have a heated discussion about the alt-right scene and white allyship to black causes. Gabe views Sam as partly responsible for the rising racial tensions.

sorbet

Volume 2, Chapter VII

Quote:"I've led you to water, but do not drink. People pee in fountains. You, specifically."
What happens: Troy takes drugs and embarks on a quest to find his path in life, which ends with him with talking to the surprisingly wise Sorbet.

dean

Volume 2, Chapter X

Quote:"My brother got me a job on the force. Watch your speed, Walter."
What happens: Dean Fairbanks finally manages to fire the security guard who drew a gun on Reggie. The guard is unfazed, however, as he has just been hired by the police - turning Fairbanks's victory into a chilling defeat.

Volume 2, Chapter VI

Quote:"Why?"
What happens: Lionel figures out the identity of AltIvyW.

Volume 2, Chapter X

Quote:"Well, uh, you'll like at least the start of my speech."
What happens: Right-wing pundit Rikki Carter doesn't get quite the reception at Winchester that she expected.

What's not so great?

  • The writers mistakenly assume that college kids use an abundance of abbreviations, which obvi makes for some cringe-worthy dialogue.

  • The canted angle is overly utilized in some episodes, which diminishes its effect and feels grating.

  • Sam and Gabe work best separately, and any moment of them rekindling their feelings seems unnecessary and stale.

  • While the episode about the death of Sam's father is well shot, it's also the most disconnected from all other episodes. At a moment where the narrative should pick up steam, the viewer is taken away from Winchester and the larger ensemble cast.

  • Troy's affair with the professor - and the subsequent blackmailing - came out of nowhere and went nowhere.

P*tchf*rk score:8.9
Metacritic score: 74 (based on 9 reviews)

Beach House released their aptly titled seventh album today. A departure from their previous efforts, this is the first occasion on which the duo did not work with longtime producer Chris Coady, instead enlisting the services of Peter Kember, aka Sonic Boom (MGMT's 'Congratulations,' Panda Bear's 'Tomboy').

P*tchf*rk named the album the best new release of the week, calling it the band's "heaviest and most immersive-sounding album," a listening experience "so enveloping that you find yourself contending, once again, with that familiar itch to locate meaning."

Eight years after it finished, why is Lost being reappraised?

The writer makes the following claims:

- The influence of LOST is still being felt everywhere, from the promotion of the new show The Crossing ("from the network that brought you LOST!") to the fact that Mike Schur actually consulted Damon Lindelof when he started writing The Good Place.

- Avengers 4 is rumoured to be heavily inspired by season 4 of LOST

- asks whether LOST is now dated or whether new fans today can still enjoy it just as much - if not, it doesn't matter because LOST has had such an influence on modern television culture that it doesn't really matter whether its quality has stood the test of time.

Two Mohawk brothers, Thomas and Lloyd, were kicked out of a college campus tour at Colorado State University two weeks ago. The boys were detained and questioned by police who were called by a "concerned" white lady who felt nervous because they brothers were too quiet.

Being fans of music, the brothers chose CSU as their first choice considering it was close to Denver and its 'music culture.' Body cam footage of the detainment of the brothers were released, Thomas and Lloyd wore band t-shirts of their favorite death metal bands: Thomas wore Cattle Decapitation t-shirt, while Lloyd wore a Archspire t-shirt.

The two bands responded:

Does Solo: A Star Wars Story Have A Sex Scene Between Han and Qi'ra?

$
0
0

– Last week, Jonathon Kasdan talked about how"Young Han" was an opportunity to have him be "truly attracted" to a woman, since Han is the "least chaste" character in the franchise his father worked on that he's never seen I guess, prompting fans to wonder what he meant beyond HAN FUCKS.
– With the world premiere of Solo: A Star Wars Story last night, reviewers are keeping tight-lipped on specific spoilers, but a few twitters have mentioned Han (Alden Emmerich) and Qi'ra (Emilia Clarke) having a sex scene in it, or at least alluding to a sex scene. Without going into spoilers, the canon novel Last Shot reveals that Han cared for Qi'ra greatly, after which he would go on to meet, you know, Leia.
– Solo has a PG-13 rating for sequences of sci-fi action/violence. But lest we forget, Revenge of the Sith was also rated PG-13 for "intense images", referring to, of course, Anakin murdering children via holograms. Could Solo be Lucasfilm's chance to raunch up the Star Wars universe?

ONTD, do you believe the truth is out there? What's the point of a Han Solo movie if Han and Lando aren't the ones with a sex scene?

ONTD Original: 10 Rap Songs Saved By Female Hooks

$

𝙾𝙽𝚃𝙳 𝙾𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚒𝚗𝚊𝚕:

𝟷𝟶 𝚁𝚊𝚙 𝚂𝚘𝚗𝚐𝚜 𝚂𝚊𝚟𝚎𝚍 𝙱𝚢 𝙵𝚎𝚖𝚊𝚕𝚎 𝙷𝚘𝚘𝚔𝚜

The dynamic of a rap/pop collaboration was pioneered by the legendary Mariah Carey with her iconic "Fantasy" remix with O.D.B. Since then, it became a whole marketing thing in hopes for artists to 'cross-over' to certain genres.
🎤💋
No shade to all the rappers but we just want to skip to the good bit.mp3 to our divas.
Here are 10 songs where the female features take the lead and make the song.

10. Eminem ft. Rihanna - "Love The Way You Lie"

- Rih's parts were a breather from all the loud angry white rapping from M&M
- Honorable mentions: T.I's "Live Your Life", Jay-Z/K*nye's "Run This Town", K*nye's "All of The Lights", Wale's "Bad (Remix)"
"Just gonna stand there
And hear me cry
But that's alright
Because I love the way you lie
I love the way you lie"

9. Wale ft. Lady Gaga - "Chillin"

- No that isn't M.I.A. on the hook
- Gags had her other pop feature chance to be on "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe" by Kendrick Lamar but apparently was too 'gay' to be on a song like that at the time.
"Get 'em all, get 'em all, pack it all up
Stack up your funds like a million bucks
Across that pond, they all know us
International, whoa
Driving my car to a foreign place
Lookin' at me, now they my face
We won it all now, we got it all yuuus
Look at that, look at how they lookin' at us"

8. Timbaland ft. Keri Hilson - "The Way I Are"

- MissKerriedBaby did THAT in so many songs in the mid to late '00s.
- Saved this song from lines like "listen baby girl, I ain't got a motorboat but I can float your boat"
"Oh, baby, it's alright now, you ain't gotta flaunt for me
If we go and touch, you can still touch my love, it's free
We can work without the perks just you and me
Thug it out 'til we get it right

Baby if you strip, you can get a tip
'Cause I like you just the way you are"

7. Lil' Flip ft. Lea - "Sunshine"
- These two one hit wonders made THE song of summer '04.
- Idk who this Lea girl is but she really made an Ashanti attempt with this.
"Sunshine
I can call you my baby boy
You can call me your baby girl
Maybe we can spend some time (some time)

I can be your sunshine"

6. Fabolous ft. Tamia - "So Into You"
- Some babies didn't know Tamia had the og song "So Into You" when this song was out. Was this too soon to be a throwback sample? Nostalgic either way.
- Apparently Ashanti recorded a version where she sung the hook, but couldn't shoot the vid so Tamia (rightfully) stepped in
"I really like
What you've done to me
I can't really explain it
I'm so into you"

5. Field Mob ft. Ciara - "So What"
- A ride or die anthem. I needed a solo version of this at the time
- Cici lowkey served Aaliyah looks in the bball court scenes
"Some people don't like it
Cause you hang out in the street
But you my boyfriend
You've always been here for me

I love the #thug in ya
No matter what people think
I'm gon' be here for ya
And I don't care what they say"

4. Nelly ft. Kelly Rowland - "Dilemma"
- The Dilemma was that she was waiting on a reply via excel
"No matter what I do
All I think about is you
Even when I'm with my boo
Boy, you know I'm crazy over you"

3. Twista ft. Mariah Carey - "So Lonely"
- Mariah knew this #UNDERRATED song was fire when she made "One and Only Part 2" where she added another verse to the the intro of the song. There was a whole other sequel with "One and Only" on her Emancipation album (which was not as good).
- Honorable mention: Busta Rhymes'"I Know What You Want"
"I wish that we could
Blow out the speakers
Over and over
To them Jodeci cuts
"Forever your lady"
You act right then maybe

Ain't nothing to talk about
Put the music loud
So they won't hear me say

Ah-ha ha ah!
Come and be my one and only
Tired of being so lonely, come hold me

Ah-ha ha ah!
