Is Pilates Miley™ back? + She posts a tribute to her dog Floyd

0
0

ONTDers may remember the summer of 2012 fondly, for it gave us the Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes divorce, the Twilight cheating scandal, and endless "Miley Cyrus going to Pilates" posts. Recent paparazzi pics have given us a glimpse of that style once again!

-Miley and boyfriend-or-husband Liam Hemsworth dined at the Sun Cafe in LA this weekend, where she wore a sports bra and trackpants
-While her hair wasn't in a bun like it was in 2012, it was in a ponytail
-This weekend also marks the death of her dog Floyd, who died in 2014 after being attacked by a coyote; she posted a tribute to him on her social media accounts

UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go on the Record by Leslie Kean
[Leslie Kean] reviewed hundreds of government documents, aviation reports, radar data & case studies with corroborating physical evidence. She carefully examined scientifically analyzed photos & interviewed scores of high-level officials & aviation witnesses from around the world. With the support of former White House chief of staff John Podesta, she draws on her research to separate fact from fiction & to lift the veil on decades of US government misinformation. Throughout, she presents irrefutable evidence that unknown flying objects—metallic, luminous & able to maneuver in ways that defy physical law—actually exist. No one yet knows what they are, even tho they affect aviation safety & national security. The phenomenon has been officially acknowledged by numerous foreign governments. For such reasons, she concludes that the UFO problem must be recognized & solved thru an unbiased scientific investigation.

Monsters Among Us : an exploration of otherworldly bigfoots, wolfmen, portals, phantoms, and odd phenomena

Godfrey here offers a comprehensive look at the mystical, legendary, and scientific angles of these portals, providing a broad sampling of modern day encounters and experiences, interspersed with her own field research and interviews with eyewitnesses.

Live Paranormal recently asked Roseanne Barr if she would participate in a short interview about her paranormal beliefs and experiences for their national show.
Unfortunately for them, Roseanne turned the offer down:

John Podesta on "Ancient Aliens": Hillary Clinton would have declassified UFO information

  • Hillary Clinton's campaign chair, John Podesta, was recently on an episode of Ancient Aliens

  • Podesta is known for his pursuit in exposing the truth about UFOs; in 2016, during Clinton's campaign he "convinced [Hillary] that we need an effort to kind of go look at that and declassify as much as we can, so that people have their legitimate questions answered.”'

  • During the episode, he said:"The system of regulation that creates our secrecy system — what's top secret, what's confidential, these lower levels of classification — that's regulated and has been since the Truman administration by executive order of the president. The president sets forward the general rules of classification, and some presidents have been more forthcoming, wanted less secrecy, some have tightened the reins and wanted more secrecy. It makes a difference."

  • More at the source

Promo for the episode:

Giorgio A. Tsoukalos of “Ancient Aliens” did an AMA and it sorta backfired
Tsoukalos didn’t answer many questions, and gave mostly half-assed answers to the ones he did. This lead to one of the most hilariously disastrous AMAs. The current top comments read, “Am I on r/roastme?” [x] and “Why do an AMA and not answer question?” [x]

Some of the questions asked to Tsoukalos, but left unanswered, include:

  • “why doesn't the history channel do shows about history?” [x]

  • “How bad do you regret doing this?” [x]

  • “Has he even answered a single question?” [x]

  • “Do you think our ancestors would be insulted that you credit their ingenuity to bullshit?” [x]

  • “If this is an Ask Me Anything,is there a particular reason you are avoiding questions that are critical of your claims and Ancient Aliens in general? Do you think it is unreasonable for people to be critical of or question your claims?” [x]

  • “In one of the initial episodes you were interviewing an older archeologist guy and were wearing really tight beige shorts. You lifted your leg and rested it on the corner of a rock while talking, I'm assuming to look casual. The archeologist began to look uncomfortable as he responded. Every viewer became uncomfortable. So my question is this: why did you wear those shorts in that pose when your dick and balls were so horrifically constrained and crying out to be free?” [x]

  • “How do you respond to the fact that the motivations behind the ancient aliens hypothesis are deeply rooted in outdated colonialist and racist ideas?” [x]

Potential low-key bop, but will it really triumph?

New album out on May 25th. Will it sound as depressing as this? They've released a few tracks already so I'll leave that upto you to figure out.

More moody stuff but atleast its a (mostly) girl band!

The Director's Edition was released last week. Still flawless imo.

K. I know this is a month old but it fits the mood and hasn't been posted yet. They're going on tour soon.

Also this one is older too. Its so gorgeous though.

I am over this VHS aesthetic but I liked the song...

Act III is good, check out the rest at the source...also I have never mixed Bailey's into a milkshake. I am missing out.

i love Khalid.

My fave Korean singer right now (other than Dean) releases another melo track.

This girl is never gonn break onto Billboard or anything but I love her voice.

The music video kinda creeps me out a little, but the travelogue-esque thing is cute.

More moody stuff and that werid Haim-vibe but I like it...

Love this.

I like the KingQueendom she descirbes.

I hate vertical videos but its personal so I guess...

I love the choreo and it was released on my birthday so I love it!

The cast and creator of Happy Endings discuss the show five years after its last episode aired

0
0

Creator (and Casey Wilson's husband) David Caspe on a revival:“I’m personally a little surprised that there hasn’t been someone who’s realistically approached us to do it. Our fanbase is rabid but I suppose the cult following is smaller than it seems. It’s been five years and if it hasn’t happened yet, I can’t imagine it happening now, but at the same time, it wouldn’t really surprise me if Hulu or even ABC called me and asked if we’d ever do more. If we redid it, it would be worse. It’s always worse. I don’t know that you could ever redo something and have it be better, which would be a bummer because it’s such a great time in my life—I met my wife, I made so many great friends, I’m even working on a show now that [Adam] Pally’s in—but I’d do it in a heartbeat because I love them all so much.”

So where did it all go wrong? Some of the cast members from the show reflect and have their own theory as to why Happy Endings didn't make it on ABC when it was clear, it should have.

Casey Wilson (Penny Hartz)

“I really think we suffered being in the crosshairs of network TV thinking they should have higher ratings and not realizing that they were at the beginning of the end. The ratings were better than a lot of network shows that are on now, but we got lost in the shuffle of the panic about network which is still happening. Even if it came out three years later when people started realizing that we had good numbers, we would have hung on, which is a bummer. Maybe it’s best to leave people wanting more, but we’d have loved at least another season.”

Zachary Knighton (Dave Rose)

“I think there are a lot of answers. I don’t think we got the support from the network that we needed. Paul Lee had taken over after we were picked up and we weren’t his baby. We were supposed to premiere and then they moved us and put us on against the Olympics and it was all so strange. In fact, we all kinda thought there was no way it was going to even get past the first season because we knew that while we had a lot of love from people, we didn’t have the billboards. We actually wanted to crowdfund to get one single billboard at one point! I think we were just on the forefront on it and if maybe we’d come out a year later, it would’ve worked better. If we were on the air right now with the numbers other shows are putting out in 2018, we’d be a monster hit with the numbers we had. Basically, they fucked up and cancelled it and then all their shows tanked. That was around the time that execs wanted shows to get back to those Friends numbers and they hadn’t caught up with the concept of Netflix and streaming—now they’re letting shows stay on with a .5 or .6—we had a 2.1 or something!”

Eliza Coupe (Jane Kerkovich-Williams)

“I think if it was on now, people would be going crazy, especially if it was on one of the streaming networks—there’d be more leeway to be a little more edgy and not so cookie-cutter. I think maybe people weren’t necessarily ready for it, particularly the networks. If it was on now, it’d be gobbled up and we’d be winning in every category at the Emmys for comedy. With everything that’s going on in the world right now, people want to fucking laugh.”

Adam Pally (Max Blum)

“I think that it was a lot of things that you weren’t really seeing on television at the time and maybe still aren’t. It had a nice mix of a new energy and a new vibrance and a new bunch of characters. That was also why it didn’t work, if that makes sense. When something like that happens and there are just as many reasons that it didn’t work that it did, you usually get a strong fanbase. I really love it. If you look at every character and situation, there was something different about them that you’d never seen before. It was wrapped up in this nice bow of a TV sitcom that you felt you knew and then what you were getting was something completely original.”

14 (5) Star Wars stories we want instead of Solo (source)

Who really wants to see Han Solo's backstory? Here are some stories we'd want to see instead:

  • Obi-Wan Kenobi. Ewan McGregor's said he'd be happy to play Kenobi again, and rumors from last year suggest the film might already be in development. McGregor is at the perfect age to play Kenobi between Episodes III and IV, showing his journey from hopeful Jedi master to recluse.

  • Snoke. It would be natural to use Snoke's backstory to fill in the events between the original trilogy and the most recent, to see how the First Order came to power and dealt with the power vacuum created by Vader's death.

  • Leia: The Alderaan Years. Hire Patty Jenkins to show us how Leia went from being an orphan to one of the galaxy's most powerful women.

  • Darth Plagueis. Spoken of with care even by the big bads of Star Wars, this Sith Lord became so powerful that he could control life and death and make himself (nearly) immortal. Plus, a Darth Plagueis film would introduce a new character instead of filling in gaps in an existing character's story.

  • Star Wars Tales. An anthology based on the comic book series (1999-2005), this could feature smaller stories like the duel between Darth Vader and Darth Maul.

Ben Schwartz was a stormtrooper in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (source)

Schwartz mentions BB-8 because he and Bill Hader were responsible for inspiring the droid's vocals. The actors reacted in scenes with BB-8's dialogue, as spoken lines and vocalizations; the sound designer then used their pitch, cadence, and inflections to inspire BB-8's digital "voice."

Alden Ehrenreich defends former ‘Solo’ directors, confirms three-film contract (source)

The original directors of Solo: A Star Wars Story Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were fired from the film in June of last year. Ehrenreich says he had a good relationship with the directors and no idea things were as bad as later reported: “The actors are at the kids’ table, unless you’re also a producer of the movie. So you’re really kept out of all the backroom dynamics of what was going on."

On working with Lord and Miller: “From the first screen test on, we played around with it a lot. We tried a lot of different things, rethinking behind the scenes. That was yielding a different movie than the other factions wanted. I knew what I was doing, but in terms of what that adds up to, you’re so in the dark as an actor. You don’t know what it’s shaping up to be, how they’re editing it, so it’s kind of impossible without having seen those things to know what the difference [of opinion] was, or exactly what created those differences.”

Rumors that cast and crew applauded when they heard the news of their firing are untrue: "That’s bulls**t. For a crew to do that would mean they hated [Lord and Miller], which was not by any stretch the case.”

He also praises new director Ron Howard's ability to get everyone excited about the film again after so much turmoil.

Finally, Ehrenreich confirms he's signed a three-film contract (“I don’t know if that’s officially, uh, public. But — yeah.”), though that's no indication that we'll see him as Han again. Rogue One’s Felicity Jones had also signed on for three films.

Emilia Clarke finds strong characters exciting (source)

"It is really exciting. As someone who has taken on characters that already exist, which can be really daunting and scary, it's been really fun to slip a new character in here that is integral to a character that we all know so well. [...] I did a lot of research and I kind of geeked up on a lot of stuff because I wanted to get it right."

She also says The Force Awakens was an incredible piece of work and stunning on screen. "It's this beloved story that you’ve grown up with that’s been given a whole new makeover, and an opportunity to be part of that is too good to miss.”
