New Order: Their 9 (5) albums ranked from worst to best

New Order has put out a ton of bangers over the decades, so NME took it upon themselves to rank their albums. They note that the "Substance" compilation doesn't count.

9. Waiting for The Sirens’ Call (2005)
-The first album with Gillian Gilbert, and without Peter Hook

/

7. Republic (1993)
-Drummer Stephen Morris said this was “a very, very unpleasant record to make. And we shouldn’t have made it, really”
-The band was having a ton of trouble with Factory Records (Check out the film 24 Hour Party People for more on this.)
-There was also a ton of tension between the band at the time

/

6. Music Complete (2015)
-No one expected New Order to put out a CD this good, at this point in time
-The source calls Tutti Frutti one of their finest dance moments
-This OP suggests you listen to the song Singularity, too

/

4. Brotherhood (1986)
-All synth, pounding drums, and more
-The latter half of the album is a real party

/

1. Power, Corruption & Lies (1983)
-Their most defining release, which went on to influence club music in the 1980s and beyond

A letter supporting Tom Brokaw has been signed by more than 60 women in the news industry, including Rachel Maddow, Andrea Mitchell and Maria Shriver. It comes after The Washington Post and Variety published allegations by former NBC news anchor that Brokaw made unwanted sexual advances to her in the mid-90s.

It reads:

As professional women, we fully endorse the conversation around abuse of power in the workplace. In the context of that conversation, we would like to share our perspectives on working with Tom Brokaw.

We are current and former colleagues of Tom’s, who have worked with him over a period spanning four decades. We are producers, correspondents, anchors, directors, executives, researchers, personal assistants, editors and technical staff.

Tom has treated each of us with fairness and respect. He has given each of us opportunities for advancement and championed our successes throughout our careers. As we have advanced across industries — news, publishing, law, business and government — Tom has been a valued source of counsel and support. We know him to be a man of tremendous decency and integrity.

Oop. Kate Middleton appeared on the steps of the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital on Monday evening with Prince Bald by her side to introduce Prince Louis to the world.

She wore a red dress with a peter pan collar that looks exactly like the one Mia Farrow's character wore in the 1968 horror film Rosemary's Baby.

Twitter of course, immediately noticed the similarity and went crazy.

ONTD Original: Top 5 Reasons You Should Be Watching Jersey Shore: Family Vacation

$

Get Crazy! Get Wild! Jersey Shore is BACK!

The new season of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation premiered on April 5, 2018 (the show airs every Thursday night on MTV) and episode 5 just aired last week. If you watched the original show but haven't felt the drive to check in on the new season, I'm here to change that for you. Because despite the houseguests being older and many of them having families of their own, they aren't exactly wiser or any less messy.

MTV went ahead and renewed the show for a second season before it even premiered, which says a lot about how much this season truly delivers (and also how desperate MTV is for ratings, let's be real).

To prove the worth of this new season, let me present to you the top 5 reasons why you need to be watching Jersey Shore: Family Vacation below:

Top 5 Reasons You Should Be Watching Jersey Shore: Family Vacation

Reason 1: Mike Is All Of Us

Mike (aka "The Situation") was never a favourite. Prone to anger, creepiness, and smashing his head into concrete walls, Mike frustrated viewers of the original seasons.

But he's sober now and in a committed relationship! If you hated Mike in the previous seasons, you might actually find him surprisingly delightful now (no, seriously). He's chilled out, is one of the few houseguests to call out Ronnie (aka "Raaahhn") on his bullshit, he's speaking truths about sobriety, and eating his feelings while watching all the drama unfold. Basically, Mike is us, the viewer, and he's never felt more relatable.

Reason 2: Snooki Is A Drunken Meatball Of Laughs

Snooki drinks. A lot. And she's HILARIOUS! Falling down, peeing in pools, spilling drinks, mumbling nonsense, going on benders and drinking until noon the next day. Snooki struggles with missing her kids and her husband; but while she's away she's going to make sure that she's having a great time. She's guaranteed to make you laugh at least once per episode with her antics.

Reason 3: The Fights

Things are getting heated in the house! So far we've seen: Snooki vs. Jwoww, Snooki vs. Vinny, and Deena vs. Ronnie. There is also some serious ongoing tension with back-and-forth insults between Ronnie and Mike. Plus, in the preview for next week's episode it looks like we're going to get Deena vs. Vinny! Five episodes in, and I can barely keep track of all the fights we've seen so far. If the season preview at the beginning of episode 1 is anything to go by, then there are plenty more fights to come!

The drama stems from all kinds of craziness: unresolved feelings, boundary issues, poor choices, bad-blood, impulsiveness, and short tempers.

In episode 3, Ronnie even has the nerve to say Snooki is out of control during her fight with Vinny and Jwoww, which is laughable since Ronnie is clearly the most unhinged cast member this season!

Reason 4: Pauly Is A Calm And Unlikely Source Of Reason

Oh Yeah! Positivity Yeah! Believe it or not, but DJ Pauly D has matured! I know what you're thinking: "What? He literally hasn't changed at all! Same clothes, same hair, same everything!" However, when you really pay attention to the show, Pauly reveals himself as a surprisingly calm energy in the house when things go south.

So far, he hasn't been involved in a single fight and when the other members are letting their emotions overwhelm them, he's right by their side offering comfort and support. Watching him drop some real truth bombs in the diary room while judging the hell out of the others from the sidelines is also thoroughly entertaining.

Reason 5: It's MESSY

I mean REALLY MESSY. Messy. As. Hell.

In episode 5 alone we see Ronnie crying in no less than 3 separate bathrooms. He's been having a pretty serious breakdown all season over the fact that he has a baby on the way and might not actually be in love with his baby momma! Mike is facing serious jail time for tax evasion (his sentencing is currently postponed until June). Cheating is a recurring theme and topic of discussion. Snooki has several freak outs over very minor issues. The preview for the season suggests we have even MORE fights on the way. And in true Jersey Shore fashion, everyone gets entirely too drunk.

Tears abound. Drama ensues. And we are all Mike eating our feelings and observing the drama.

Thank you for your time

Audrina Patridge and Ryan Cabrera Are Back Together

No, you didn't just stumble into a post from 2006 on accident. This is 2018. It is real, it is now, and it is glorious. In "they dated?!" news, the former on-and-off girlfriend of Justin Bobby and the marginal onetime "hit singer" are an item - again!

Harpers Bazaar shared an article compiling some evidence that the pair are indeed back together (because they were apparently dating on some plotline of The Hills that I've sadly forgotten, just as I had forgotten the astonishing size of Cabrera's forehead and hair spikes, which combine to make up more than 50% of his entire head), revealing that the story has been confirmed by banned source P****e Magazine as well as sharing a video from a source close to Audrina, which can be viewed below the cut.

On Thursday Audrina's stylist shared a video of the The Hills star and the spiky-haired Lothario enjoying a Couples Vitamin Drip!

I'd like to end this post by sharing a song that has really helped me through some dark times, including when an avatar on Virtual Laguna Beach showed up wearing combat boots to our beach date. It was and is the most humiliating moment of my life.

yesterday in nyc, anti-fur protesters crashed gigi hadid's m&g and held up signs reading 'gigi kills', 'animal abuser' and 'fur scum'. the protesters were swarmed by her security and removed from the premises. in the wake of the incident. people have been flooding her social media saying she deserves it for wearing fur.

gigi decided to respond, defending herself:
- says she respects what the protesters were trying to do, but thinks they went after the wrong target
- she doesn't wear fur and has made conscious decisions not to wear fur pieces lately
- although she's never spoken out publicly against fur, she figured not personally wearing fur would make people realise she doesn't support it
- she may have worn 1-off fur pieces in the past, but she's grown since + it was mostly for work
- she is saddened the meet&greet were ruined for her young fans who had been waiting to meet her and were scared by the altercation
- when the protesters pulled their signs out she immediately thought it was a weapon, since other celebs have been killed while doing public appearances in the past

“Hi guys :)
Yes you may have seen humiliation on my face, but I was mostly saddened and confused by the 'confrontation' because I have made a conscious effort not to personally buy or wear fur (my stylist is big into animal rights and also doesn't pull anything for me with real fur). I commend you for your passion to help all animals and respect that this work has changed fashion policies in the past, I am all for brands going fur free ! I also understand that this demonstration at my event brought a lot of publicity, which I get is the point... I just think you have bigger fish to fry than me seeing as I don't personally choose to wear fur. So that's what confused me ..?

But .. I was most sad that it ruined the day and event for the fans, young girls and children who waited for hours for the meet & greet, many of whom were also scared by what happened.

Maybe years ago I wore 1-off pieces that included fur, mostly for work I might add. No ones judging you for leather shoes you wore earlier in life... correct? So I think if you want to move your vision forward you should start judging people for the choices they are making NOW. Don't scare people to change for fear that they will still be judged and treated for ‘decisions’ they may not have even realized they were making in the past. I have never been the type to personally buy or wear fur pieces ... that's never felt right to me. If you were to walk into my closet you wouldn't see fur. That is my point. Really go back and try to find the last time I wore fur... u won't have an easy time. Then come back and try to tell me that I haven't taken a stance ?! Lol u don't know me.

I don't think I've ever 'promoted' fur or the fur trade in any way.... so that's a bit harsh. Maybe I haven't publicly spoken out against fur, I honestly have never really been asked... I thought not personally wearing fur was the way to make the statement that I do not support it... anyways, we all learn.”

“Side note! Although there were rumors that I was physically 'attacked' yesterday, I was not touched. I will say that. But, the way the protesters were handled by security was in direct correlation with how they chose to reveal what they were there to do. If they would have just come up to me and spoke to me directly about their concerns I think it could have been a really positive and enlightening conversation for both sides ... unfortunately there have been instances in the past where 'celebrities' have been injured and even killed during meet and greets and public appearances , it's sad but my first reaction to them pulling something out of their clothes was that it was a weapon... so security always has to expect the worst in these situations ... just wanted to clear that up for those asking”
