French actor and Vogue and Chanel model Gaspard Ulliel is set to play Yves Sain Laurent in Bertrand Bonello's upcoming biopic on the legendary fashion designer.

“A huge audition was organised after Cannes and Gaspard Ulliel won the part,” said Nicolas Brigaud-Robert of Paris-based Films Distribution, which is handling international sales.

“The film is due to shoot late spring and a script will available for buyers before Berlin,” added Brigaud-Robert.

Ulliel is best known internationally for his performance as young Hannibal Lector in Hannibal Rising. He was also recently seen in Bertrand Tavernier’s 16th century drama The Princess of Montpensier.

The 28-year-old actor is no stranger to the fashion world: besides being a regular on the pages of Vogue, Ulliel is currently the face of luxury leather goods label Longchamp alongside Kate Moss and is also the star of Martin Scorsese’s 2010 ad for Chanel’s male fragrance Blue.

Plans for the YSL biopic were first announced last Cannes. The €15m French-language picture is being produced by Eric and Nicolas Altmayer of Mandarin Cinéma.

The film will focus on the period running 1965 to 1976 when Yves Saint Laurent was at the peak of his powers, culminating with the 1976 Russian collection, considered by many as his most influential.

Thomas Bidegain, co-writer of A Prophet and Rust and Bone with Jacques Audiard, is collaborating with Bonello on the screenplay.

The picture will be Bonello’s first feature since House of Tolerance (L’Apollonide).

While Nicole Kidman quit the controversial film "The Nymphomaniac" on Friday, "Transformers" star Shia LaBeouf is ready to push on - and in - doing whatever it takes for the film, and making sacrifices if necessary.

Most men would call it a sacrifice with air quotes around the word, but live sex in the upcoming film "The Nymphomaniac" could mean Shia LaBeouf could make an actual sacrifice - possibly sacrificing his relationship with up-and-coming designer Karolyn Pho.

In mid-August, the couple was seen during a full-on blow-out melt-down. There was no public statement over the row, but it was assumed and reported that it was over Karolyn's objection to Shia LaBeouf participating in live sex for the film.

Later, though, it was reported that the producers said that all sex scenes would be filmed with body doubles and visual effects. It's unclear if that will truly be the case; LaBeouf earlier said that the scripts all carried a disclaimer on them saying that the sex was real. He added,

Anything that is "illegal" will be shot in blurred images. But other than that, everything is happening. It’s going to be a wild movie, man. It’s going to be a wild movie.

LaBeouf is desperate to work with director Lars von Trier. A source close to the couple said:

Working with Lars has opened his eyes to a new way of working and he loves the director’s artistic integrity. Each scene feels very real and Shia believes it’s only improving his acting talents. Karolyn (his girlfriend) gets that Shia likes to go method and appreciates his artistic integrity. However, she thinks performing a real sex scene in a movie is going too far. She wants him to do the film, because Shia was desperate to work with Lars – he’s such a hero of his. And she doesn’t mind if he strips off completely – she had no qualms about the Sigur Ros music video. It’s difficult for her to understand why it (the sex) can’t be simulated – just like in other films.

While no public statement about the reasons that Kidman left the film, it's believed the live sex scenes had something to do with.

Meanwhile, although the film has lost an Oscar winner (Kidman), it's scored an Oscar nominee. Uma Thurman was recently signed to the film.

Nicole Kidman has stepped into the shoes of writers Martha Gellhorn (Hemingway & Gellhorn), Virginia Woolf (The Hours) and photographer Diane Arbus (Fur) for previous roles, but if the latest pictures from the set of the upcoming biopic Grace of Monaco are any indication, her role as actress-turned-princess Grace Kelly might be her best historical figure transformation yet.

Earlier pictures from the set showed Kidman in vintage day wear and a chic gold gown, giving some indication of how costume designer Gigi Lepage would help morph her into the glamorous icon. But when the actress stepped on the Monte Carlo set October 30 to film scenes with Tim Roth, who plays her on-screen husband Prince Rainier III, there was no denying she looked every bit a princess. Kidman stunned in an embellished strapless bodice with a full tulle skirt and satin shawl. Her hair was swept into Kelly’s trademark bouffant, she dripped in diamonds and even showed off satin opera gloves while nailing a regal wave to photographers.

The film, helmed by director Olivier Dahn, will follow the story of the late Philadelphia-born star’s involvement with Monaco’s Prince Rainier III. With a reported $30 million budget for the project, that’s scheduled for release in 2014, we can only imagine what other alluring looks are in store to capture Kelly’s timeless style that continues to inspire designers. Is this fairytale reminiscent look a step in the right direction?

With just over two weeks until Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded - The Re-Up hits the streets, the rapper has released the tracklist for the November 19 album release.

The two-disc album will feature newer tracks like her feisty lead single, "The Boys," in addition to Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded favorites like "Starships" and "Beez in the Trap," Rap-Up reports. In anticipation of the release, earlier this week, the singer dropped the video for another of her Re-Up tracks, "Va Va Voom."

Earlier this fall, the MC opened up to MTV News about the album, sharing what fans should expect from the newer tracks on it. "It's a different feel, so I knew I had to put it on a separate disc the new songs, but it wasn't an entire new thought and new body of work," she said. "Because I like to give a lot of music and so that's why I didn't want to do a whole new project. Because then I would feel like it would be judged as a brand new thing and then I would need to add way more songs."

In addition to the album release, Minaj is prepping for a number of other projects, including several stints on the small screen. She will kick off her the first of three E! specials, "Nicki Minaj: My Truth," this Sunday. And, she's also hard at work on the upcoming season of "American Idol," joining Mariah Carey and Keith Urban as one of the show's three new judges alongside "Idol" vet Randy Jackson.

Cora tries to steal the compass from Emma and Mary Margaret; Regina and Mr. Gold must put David's life in danger in hope that he will contact Mary Margaret.

Episode 2.09 - Queen of Hearts
Hook and Cora face off with Emma and Mary Margaret in a race for the compass; Mr. Gold and Regina plan to kill anyone who enters the portal.

Ethan Embry is coming to Storybrooke.

The actor, who’s currently guest-starring on Grey’s Anatomy as Arizona’s prosthetist, has snagged a recurring role on Once Upon a Time, TVLine has learned exclusively.Details are scarce, but we know that Embry will play a visitor to the ABC drama’s not-so-sleepy Maine burg. As fans of the show know, Storybrooke doesn’t get many visitors from the outside world – and those who are new to town (like Emma and August AKA Pinocchio) have some connection to the magical goings-on.

So what’s Embry’s character’s deal? Perhaps the lifting of Regina’s curse makes it easier for newbies to cross town lines (even as it makes leaving problematic)? Or – dare we hope – might Embry’s character be Rumplestiltskin’s grown-up son Baelfire, heretofore seen only in flashback as a child?

The Knock You Down hit-maker has been in China this week, but Hilson's hectic schedule has taken its toll on the star.

The 29 year old took to her Twitter.com page on Friday to reveal she was taken ill on an airplane as she left the country, and she blames her lack of sleep for the health scare.

Gaga who? The fashion icon displayed live tweets all over her sexy figure.

She's impressed on the fashion front week after week during her stint on The X Factor so far.

So it's no wonder Nicole Scherzinger was asked to model the UK's first Twitter dress at the launch of EE - the new 4G mobile network.

On Thursday evening the 34-year-old made an eye-catching entrance in the unique dress at the event held at Battersea Power Station

Nicole's stunning haute couture dress is constructed from 8 meters of the finest French silk chiffon, laden with over 500 Swarovski crystals and over 2,000 LED lights, which lights up to spell out Tweets sent in by fans in real time throughout the evening (via @EE and #tweetthedress).

The gown was created by leading interactive fashion design agency Cute Circuit, whose clients include U2 and Katy Perry.

So as not to distract from the gown, Nicole kept her hair loose falling down her back and her make-up was simple.

Clearly excited about wearing the dress, Nicole tweeted:'I've been asked to wear the UK's first ever twitter dress tonight for the @EE Launch Party @BatterseaPowerStation #tweetthedress So EXCITED!'

The X Factor judge also performed a number of her popular hits including the Pussy Cat Dolls' Don't Cha, as well as her new single.

Nicole's not the only one who took to the stage at the event, world-renowned digital Magician Marco Tempest and DJ Yoda also made sure the night went off with a bang.

A host of celebrities attended, not wanting to miss out on the momentous launch.

Thought it’s been ages since the original Ricki Lake Show graced daytime TV with its presence, Ricki is back and hasn’t missed a step.

On today’s episode, “When Gay People Lead Straight Lives,” Ricky interviewed a daughter who is still angry with her father for coming out of the closet when she was in college; a woman with two children who left her heterosexual marriage for a lesbian lifestyle; and, above, an openly-gay Mormon husband and his wife, the mother of their three children.

There to offer his advice is Ricki’s friend, Rick Clemons, the so-called “Coming Out Coach.” Clemons is a certified professional coach and an alleged “magnetizing speaker,” but for all his training and expertise, nothing speaks more truth than a member of the audience’s reaction at 1:13.

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy hitting the East Coast, Philadelphia resident Hannah Sassaman has launched a petition on Change.org to get HBO and the producers, cast, and crew of “Boardwalk Empire” to help with relief efforts.

According to an Oct. 30 report from AllYourTV.com, the amount of damage done by Hurricane Sandy is unclear at the moment. However, a reported 2,000 feet of the “uptown” boardwalk has been destroyed, along with other storefronts and landmarks.

“I love ‘Boardwalk Empire,’ and was watching it last night as the storm howled past our window,” Sassaman posted on the petition’s main page. “But thousands of families and workers in Atlantic City have wrecked businesses, closed schools, delayed jobs, and destroyed beaches to look forward to tonight.”

“After 9/11, I remember many television platforms breaking the fourth wall to raise money for or stand with survivors of the attacks,” she continued. “Post Frankenstorm Sandy, HBO should use ‘Boardwalk Empire’ to raise funds directly for Atlantic City.”

THE FIFTH AND FINAL SEASON OF “FRINGE” CONCLUDES WITH A TWO-HOUR SERIES FINALE, INCLUDING THE 100TH EPISODE, FRIDAY, JANUARY 18, ON FOX

Climactic Nine-Episode Countdown Continues with an All-New Episode Tonight

As the Fringe team fights for humanity’s future in the fifth and final season, the imaginative journey toward the end of the acclaimed series will culminate in a climactic conclusion during the two-hour final-two-episodes event Friday, Jan. 18 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. This milestone date will also celebrate the series’ 100th episode.

Series Co-Creator and Executive Producer J.J. Abrams reflected on the show’s run: “It has been an absolute honor to have been a part of the weird and wonderful world of FRINGE. I will always owe the cast and crew for pouring their hearts and souls into every dimension of this series. Creating the show with Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman was a joy, but watching it evolve over the years into such an imaginative, insane and heartbreaking ride is nothing less than a thrill. I am grateful to our blessed fans, and to Kevin Reilly and Peter Rice and everyone at the glorious Fox network for allowing FRINGE to reach its bittersweet conclusion.”

Executive producer and showrunner J. H. Wyman said, “Above all else, from the bottom of my heart, I would like to personally thank everyone involved with FRINGE. From the most amazing fans, to our incredible cast, writers and crew, and our wonderful partners at FOX and Warner Bros. – we would not be here without you. It simply cannot be overstated how grateful I am for the ongoing and unconditional support we have received over the past five seasons. It has been both mind-blowing and humbling. I’ve always been a fan of science fiction, and to be able to tell this story about a family – a family that, through everything, fought together for survival – has been a highlight of my career. As we approach the final chapter, I can hardly believe it, and I’m just truly thankful for this unparalleled experience.”

“FRINGE has truly imagined the impossibilities over its five seasons and will go down in the books as one of FOX’s most riveting and creatively brilliant series,” said Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. “It has been a blast to work with J.J., Joel and their masterful creative teams, as well as with Anna, Josh and John and the rest of the most talented cast and crew in the business.”

Throughout FRINGE’s thrilling five seasons, the series has followed Special Agent OLIVIA DUNHAM (Anna Torv), enlisted institutionalized “fringe” scientist WALTER BISHOP (John Noble) and his globe-trotting, jack-of-all-trades son, PETER (Joshua Jackson) as the Fringe team explored mysterious occurrences linked between parallel universes, doppelgängers, Observers and unimaginable threats. The unlikely trio supervised by Special Agent PHILLIP BROYLES (Lance Reddick) and assisted by ASTRID FARNSWORTH (Jasika Nicole) – often led them to science and technological corporation Massive Dynamic, founded by WILLIAM BELL (guest star Leonard Nimoy), and its enigmatic chief executive, NINA SHARP (Blair Brown).

The fifth and final flash-forward season of FRINGE is set in 2036, when the “Observers” have become ruthless rulers of a dystopian society. As the battle for the world’s future continues to unfold, the Fringe team is in the midst of making its final stand to save humanity. In the aftermath of the devastating loss of Peter and Olivia’s daughter, ETTA (guest star Georgina Haig), the intensity escalates as the combat continues and Peter makes a pivotal and game-changing move in the all-new “An Origin Story” episode airing tonight (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Taylor Swift’s the focus of another Internet photo scandal, but it’s not her fault.

There’s a photo going around the Internet that has country-pop singing star Taylor Swift wearing a red gym jacket and posing with a young man also in red and reportedly known as “Cheeks” and both are holding up a sign made from a napkin that reads “I Heart On TD.” Whatever that means.

That photo was doctored by someone to read something far, far more sexual and sinister that Taylor Swift would promise to do if “Alabama beat LSU this weekend” and then goes on to read “Who are you rooting for now? XOXO Taylor Swift.”

Guess which photo’s going around the Internet the fastest?

Click for the full sized image

This blogger discovered the photo after checking the social bookmarking site Reddit.com for news. Right there were the words “Taylor Swift’s Promise” If you click on it, as I did, the photo, the doctored one, comes right up in your face. You have to dig through the comments to learn that the picture’s not the real one.

Cheeks is reportedly part of a website called “OH NO THEY DID’NT” which has the tagline “the celebrities are disposable, the content is pricesless.” But does that mean they replaced Taylor’s original napkin with the fake one? If so, that’s awful. It’s terrible that it happened to her, but if the website created the fake photo they should apologize immediately.

For her part, Taylor’s got to be careful. To this blogger, it’s like the Swastika episode in that Taylor took a photo with a random fan and got in trouble for an image she wasn’t aware of. The difference is that Taylor didn’t know some real douche was going to mess with her image like that.

It’s sad because Taylor doesn’t know who to trust and it’s harder to just hang and have fun with people around who are going to mar her image in this way.

    Bad form.

    SOURCE

LOL this article. Wasn't Cheeks banned years ago? So this sign is probably a couple years old at least...

EDIT: So apparently my brilliant detective skills failed to notice this is from 2010. It's not even relevant news at this point.

Simon Cowell admits to have made a mistake agreeing to name his girl group, formerly Lylas, 1432.

Addressing the name Thursday, Cowell says it is "rubbish" and will be changing the group's name before next week's round of performances.

"If you watched the show tonight we have asked you to come up with a new name for 1432 (which is rubbish) #rename1432." Cowell said via Twitter.

As seen on the show, 1432 narrowly escaped elimination. They were saved after a performance of Demi Lovato's single "Skyscraper."

Claiming she hadn't believed them before, Britney Spears said "You guys definitely made me a believer tonight."

It is unclear what the group's new name will be, but Cowell is taking any suggestions you might have.

"X Factor" returns with a new round of performances and eliminations next Wednesday at 8 p.m. on FOX.

The well-wishes are rolling in for Jamie Bell and Evan Rachel Wood, and the newlyweds have taken to Twitter to connect with fans just days after saying "I do."

The Adventures of Tintin star thanked followers on the social media site for their support, and even took time to remember Hurricane Sandy victims in the midst of his wedding bliss:

"Thank you for all the congratulations. I'm a very lucky man. I'd like to wish everyone on the east coast well. My thoughts are with them. X," the 26-year-old actor posted last night.

Bell's True Blood babe also took to Twitter to set the record straight in regards to her sexuality (Wood, 26, is openly bisexual) now that she is a married woman.

"@evanrachelwood question, honestly not trying to be an ass. Just trying to understand. Does this mean u r not bi anymore?how is that work?" a curious fan inquired Wednesday.

"No," Wood replied in response to the tweet. "It just means i am not single anymore ;) @Basilme."
