Armie Hammer Goes After Journalist Anne Helen Petersen

ICYMI: Anne Helen Petersen wrote a ~hotly debated~ article questioning why Hollywood keeps trying to make Armie Hammer happen a few months back, resulting in him flouncing off of twitter.

Today, Anne Helen Petersen wrote a series of tweets, in NO WAY criticizing Jennifer Lawrence herself, but rather the writing of a really boring/bog standard female celeb interview she did for Vanity Fair where she's praised for being real because she picks up her dog's poop instead of making her BFF Laura do it. Which for whatever reason led to this exchange (3 months and 1 day since the Buzzfeed article war originally published btw) as captured by LA Times jounalist Amy Kaufman:

Also note she in no way mentioned Armie's name, or tagged him in anything. So he just decided to do this.

Why Taylor Kitsch is the most charming man on Instagram

Anne Helen Petersen, who has taken to eviscerating the likes of Armie Hammer and Justin Timberlake as of late, brings you this piece on why Taylor Kitsch joining Instagram is giving his career a whole new spin.

Without a publicist or a team managing him and years of refusing to join the world of social media he is giving fans a glimpse into his childhood, hockey background, photography, charitable work, the fact that he actually watches ice dancing, and a reminder that he is basically Tim Riggins, which also makes him incredibly funny.

A retrospective on his career and why straying away from roles that ignored his charm and surprising humor left him trying to crawl out of a failed launch as the next leading man.

Oscar Host Jimmy Kimmel: “I like when things go wrong, I’m OK with it,”

“I like when things go wrong, I’m OK with it,” Jimmy Kimmel. “People don’t even realize this but during our rehearsal [last year], on the day of the Oscars, the whole set fell down. I’m not talking about a little piece of set, I’m talking about a huge wooden structure came crashing down to the floor.” says Kimmel. “I’m still not clear on how the wrong envelope got into Warren Beatty’s hands. Color coding might be a nice thing to think of this time around but I’ll be honest, it would be funny if it happened again,” he said. The flub last year happened when the dumbass holding the ballots was busy on social media and that person's mind lapse created the biggest goof in oscar history and their termination.

5 of the most ridiculous reactions to the 2017 Oscars Best Picture fiasco, one year later

$

Today marked the anniversary of the mess at last year's Oscars, when the wrong Best Picture was announced. While we all know the story, a lot of players on stage and behind-the-scenes gave their play-by-play of what happened in those few minutes, and the aftermath. It's pretty long, insane, hilarious, and great (you should read it all), but I picked a few rather ridiculous quotes from it.

Other people who commented in the story include a whole lotta Academy execs and producers, the unfortunate producers of La La Land, Jimmy Kimmel of course, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, Ryan Gosling, Naomie Harris, Mahershala Ali, David Oyelowo, Warren Beatty, and those below.

-- Busy Phillips (actor): Then I'm like, "I'm sitting next to Ben Affleck — he can stop the show because he's fucking Batman!" I kind of grabbed his arm — we're not friends, but I was like, "You have to do something! Do something!"

-- Jennifer Todd (Oscars producer): I said, "Oh, my God, we're having the Steve Harvey Oscars!"

-- Annette Bening (actress, Warren Beatty's wife): [Warren] took the envelopes home, but he gave Barry Jenkins his for winning for Moonlight. [As for the other one,] I don't know. Maybe it's still in my house.

-- Lisa Taback (Oscars consultant for both La La La and Moonlight): Now I stand up and Damien's parents are looking at me with confusion: "What should we do? Now what?!" I said, "Don't worry — Damien got his Oscar. It's OK. I'm going backstage."

Bonus comment from Steve Harvey himself: When he walked out there and snatched that card out of Warren's hand, that's when I knew redemption was mine. I was finally off the hook. But the Oscars is the biggest night in Hollywood, and when they did it, I lit a cigar and drank a glass of scotch and celebrated. I was free! Thank you, God!

The 'Walking Dead' Cast Isn't Happy About that Death, Either

$

It isn't just Walking Dead fans who are mad about Carl being killed off. The cast is having a hard time with the loss of both the character and their castmate, 18-year-old Chandler Riggs (who was on the show from the first season, when he was only ten years old), and lamenting the missed opportunities his death brings to the story:

Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan):
https://instagram.com/p/BfpcxKTBAFh

Norman Reedus (Daryl): "I was desperately unhappy about that. I’ve seen Chandler grow up from a little boy. I’ve known that kid so long, and it always hurts when you lose a family member on the show. Chandler is definitely a family member to me. I was not happy about it...

The people that started this show, to me, are the heart of the show. When you lose those key members, it's such a big blow to the show, and to the fans, and to us that are there...If you wanted to turn it into a totally different show, you get rid of those people. But if you want to hold on to what made the show special, you've got to be very careful what you do with those people."

Danai Gurira (Michonne): "I got a little depressed for a while. Straight up...It was hard. Carl and Chandler are a blessing to Michonne and to Danai, you know what I mean? I adore Chandler, and [for] Michonne, Carl is her healer...So, yeah, I was devastated. Michonne was devastated."

Andrew Lincoln (Rick): "The final farewell is really unbearable...saying goodbye is something that we’ve gotten used to on this show, but I’ll say it again — the wife and his son were the original chief things that got Rick out of that hospital bed in that first episode, and it’s terribly sad today. I’m like that guy left on the pier, you know? He’s lost his most precious cargo....

The only sort of huge comfort I take in Chandler leaving at this point is the fact that he got to be the hero of the series and the episode, and give the gift to Michonne and Rick for the future and to say farewell...When you work with somebody and watch a boy going to a man in front of your eyes — you love this guy. You admire him, and learn from him, and you see him growing into this remarkable young man. He’s taught you about his country, and his family, and he has this beautiful heart into your heart. I just loved watching and marveling at this really extraordinary young man."

Lauren Cohan (Maggie): "I didn't really believe it. I was definitely in shock. I'm still in shock about it...I'm interested in what ideas we're going to have moving forward. Because I was just really devastated."
