11. Robert's Heart Attack (Brothers & Sisters)
'Brothers & Sisters' - 3x16 - Troubled Waters

B&S was such an underrated show. In one of their best scenes the show contrasts life and death when Robert (Rob Lowe) has to rush to the hospital to see his baby's birth but he has a heart attack on the way. Everyone's acting is top notch and even the Coldplay music works perfectly.

10. Ten Regenerates (Doctor Who)
'Doctor Who' - 4x18 - The End of Time, Part 2

DW has had many sad moments (Doomsday!) but if you were a Tennant fan, this one hit you hard. The show was about to close a big chapter so David Tennant's doctor said goodbye to all his companions once he knew his regenerations was coming... 'I don't wanna go' became a heartbreaking reminder of Tennant's time as the doctor.

09. Hannah's mom finds her after she killed herself (13 Reasons Why)

08. Illyria rises (Angel)
'Angel' - 5x15 - A Hole in the World

During 5 seasons Angel managed to make Fred the best character in the show. Her final moments are one of the best scenes in the entire Buffyverse.

'Grey's Anatomy' - 2x27 - Losing My Religion

DENNY DIEEEEEEDDDDDDDD. DENNY FUCKING DIEEEEEDDDDD. DAMMIT IZZIEEEEE!!!!

06. Carter and Lucy get stabbed (E.R.)
'E.R.' - 6x13 - Be Still My Heart

Lucy was an OK character, she didn't had the reaction TPTB hoped so in a Valentine's Day episode a mad mad stabs Carter in the back when he enters a room, while he's lying in his own blood unable to do anything he sees Lucy on the floor, who also got stabbed minutes before. The moment is surprising, shocking and makes you have so many mixed feelings.

05. Jack dies (This is Us)
'This Is Us' - 2x14 - Super Bowl Sunday

A recent one. Everyone was waiting for Jack to die in the fire, in the end he dies in the hospital due to smoke inhalation. Mandy Moore gives a performance worthy of all the awards that also makes you wonder why we don't have 'A Walk to Remember 2: Walk Harder'.

04. Karen beats depression (Once & Again)
'Once & Again' - 3x12 - Gardenia

(Scene starts @ 28:29)'Once & Again' was a very underrated show, a critical darling yet not many people watched it besides for those lesbian scenes with Misha Barton and Evan Rachel Wood, but one of the best moments was when Karen (who was battling depression for a while) is told by her doctor to list things she's looking forward to. She does and notices she has tons of stuff to live for. She feels happy after a long time battling depression...when suddenly a car hits her.

03. John Ritter's Memorial episode (8 Simple Rules)
'8 Simple Rules (for dating my teenage daughter)' - 2x04 - Goodbye

John Ritter died during the second season of 8SRFDMTD, his death was written into the show and the episode when everyone finds out the family dad died is heartbreaking cause everyone was actually mourning John. The episode had no laugh track and was recorded without a live audience.

02. The Quarterback Episode (Glee)
'Glee' - 2x04 - The Quarterback

Similar to 8SRFDMTD, Glee was still a very popular show when Cory Monteith suddenly died. His death was written into the show and the entire episode is made to make you cry from start to finish, from the return of all past castmembers, Finn's mom having a meltdown, PedoWill stealing Finn's jacket and Lea Michelle's tribute performance. It's one of the best tributes TV has seen.

01. The final montage (Six Feet Under)
'Six Feet Under' - 5x13 - Everyone's Waiting

Six Feet Under always dealt with death and during the Series finale's final moments, they went out as they should, flashforwarding to every single character's death. It's undoubtedly the best series finale TV has ever seen and it'll make you cry like a baby.

U.S. companies that have partnered with the National Rifle Association to offer discounts and benefits to its members have begun to distance themselves from the gun lobbying group after the latest school shooting. Alyssa Milano, Misha Collins, Billy Eichner, Mia Farrow, George Takei voiced support. Others, like James Woods, encouraged fellow NRA members to take their business elsewhere.

The NRA responds, calls companies boycott 'political and civic cowardice'.

“The law-abiding members of the NRA had nothing at all to do with the failure of that school’s security preparedness, the failure of America’s mental health system, the failure of the National Instant Check System or the cruel failures of both federal and local law enforcement,” the NRA said.

“Despite that, some corporations have decided to punish NRA membership in a shameful display of political and civic cowardice.”

First - Megan McCain apparently thinks she's Lagertha from VIKINGS and her hair looks ridiculous. ANYWAYS! Tamar discusses her reality show, her relationship with Vince, her IG meltdown, filing for divorce and oh.... Vince is in the audience and comes up to the panel! Vince is asked if he got another woman pregnant which he denies.

Jesse Williams stops by today on The View. He discusses Black Lives Matter, Grey's Anatomy and episodes that reflect current events such as black men being shot by police, his new game called BLeBRiTY! The panel and Jesse play a demo of the game and it looks like fun!! Sunny & Jesse are a team and do really well!

Democratic Massachusetts Congressman Joe Kennedy III stops by! They get right to it about Joe's shiny lips and the commentary from everyone about it. Poor bb. But he's got a sense of humor about it.
They discuss gun control and Paula and Megan's facial expressions pretty much show they don't believe a thing Joe says - especially when it comes to the mental health topic. Joy asks if he plans on running for president.

The #MeToo Movement Takes Off In South Korea

$
0
0

* While the anti-harassment #MeToo movement has spread globally in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal, in South Korea, the entertainment industry has been grappling with the issue for years.
* In 2009, actress Jang Ja-yeon, who was 29 at the time, sent shock waves across the country when she committed suicide, leaving behind a handwritten letter chronicling how her agent forced her to have sex with a string of broadcasters, execs and filmmakers to advance her career. The case prompted a large-scale police probe and had a local impact comparable to the Weinstein scandal.
* Actresses Kim Hye-soo, Jung Ryeo-won,  Kim Tae-ri have spoken out in support of the #MeToo movement, along with directors Lee Yoon-jung and Park Hyun-jin.

*Actor Jo Min-ki was accussed of sexual minconduct and rape, leading to him being fired from his professor position at Cheongju University in Cheongju, South Korea.

*The allegations against him were made known to the public last week, although stories of abuse have span almost ten years.

* Jo served as a professor in the theatre department of Cheongju University where female students have come forward with tales of Jo using his position to sexual harass students.

* One anonymous student said, "Professor Jo would call me and my friend over to his studio flat and make us drink. Later he would lay us on the bed and grope my breasts and then force us to do indecent acts." the student then added, "During the forced indecent act, we were so scared, we escaped. During that time, we were only 20 years old."

* Rookie actress Song Han-neul detailed her experience with Jo, saying: “In 2013 when I entered college, my seniors warned me to be careful of Professor Jo Min Ki. His sexual harassment was an open secret within our department. But to these theatre students aspiring to be actresses, Professor Jo Min Ki had so much power and no one could complain or report it. He was a ‘king’ on our campus because he was a celebrity and successful actor.

“Professor Jo Min Ki had an officetel near campus. When he came to lecture several times a week, he always called his female students to his officetel at night. These young students couldn’t reject him because he said they would have to discuss ‘acting’ and ‘auditioning.’ So they would go to his officetel and drink with him.

“People always asked us why we couldn’t just say no or avoid the situation, but if we refused to go, he would keep calling us, our seniors, and our friends. We had no choice but to go to his officetel. Because we didn’t want to go alone, we often asked our classmates to go with us. Going with a friend was the only solution.

“When my friend and I went to his officetel, he told us to sleep over. We told him we would just go home, but he insisted until the end and told us to get ready for bed. He even gave us toothbrushes and clothes to change into.

“My friend and I went into the bathroom and didn’t know what to do. We turned on the faucet to make sure he couldn’t hear us talk. We didn’t know how to escape the situation. When we came out of the bathroom, Professor Jo Min Ki forced us onto his bed. We tried to resist but he was so strong.

“He then climbed on top of me and said, ‘This is expensive,’ while putting lotion on my face. I felt so helpless and I couldn’t make any sound because my mind went blank. After that, he laid between me and my friend. He stroked our arms, stared at our faces, and put his hand on our waists. I got chills down my spine every time he did that, but I couldn’t do anything. I curled up and stayed awake, waiting for him to fall asleep. I quieted down my breathing so he wouldn’t wake up. Once the sun began to rise, my friend and I secretly left his officetel and went home. I couldn’t fall asleep that night.

“One time, Professor Jo Min Ki called me over to his officetel, so I went with my boyfriend. Because my boyfriend has a low alcohol tolerance level, he fell asleep first. I was so scared that something would happen, and it felt like no one could help me. Professor Jo Min Ki started talking about my sexual relationship with my boyfriend, asking questions like, ‘What is it like,’ and ‘How often do you guys do it per week.’ I felt so ashamed but I could only force out a laugh.

“I kept pinching myself to not get drunk. After a while, Professor Jo Min Ki got drunk and started to go over to his bed, so I tried to wake up my boyfriend but he didn’t get up. Professor Jo Min Ki called me over to his bed and suddenly started touching my chest. When I jumped back in shock, he laughed while saying, ‘They’re a lot smaller than I had thought.’ I got so angry, I dragged my boyfriend out of the officetel. When I saw Professor Jo Min Ki the next day at school, he pretended like nothing happened."

* Jo, who set to appear in the upcoming k-drama "Children of the Small God" has decided to step down from the drama.

* Popular character/supporting actor Oh Dal-su has been accused of sexual misconduct.

* An anonymous woman has come forward about abuse suffered at the hands of Oh in the 90s: "For me he is no more than a pervert, an evil (person) and a psychopath. Since the shocking incident, I have been in pain for 20 years and still receive psychotherapy. I hope he is punished in hell."

* Reporters have been trying to get in contact with Oh's agency to no avail.

* Popular actor Cho Jae-hyun has been accused of assault.

* Actress Choi Yool has spoken out against Cho, saying: "I was waiting for you to be exposed, it came sooner than I thought. This is barely beginning. There's still a lot more trash remaining. I have a lot to lose so I can't say a lot but until all the perverted bastards are gone, until that day #metoo#withyou"

* Cho has apologized saying he doesn't quite remember the incidents but is sorry nonetheless.

* In light of allegations Cho has decided to step down from his hit k-drama "Cross" where he played one of the main characters.

* Rapper Don Malik has come forward with an apology for an underage fan he assaulted.

* Don Mills said: "Hello, this is Don Malik. Last December, I met with a fan and abused my power in the relationship between an artist and a fan and harassed her. I genuinely apologize to the victim. I have realized my wrong and will work on becoming a better person so that I don't cause any scandal big or small and always act with caution. I'm sorry."

* Malik has been dropped from his agency.

* Famous theatre director Lee Youn-taek has apologized for sexually harassing women. Lee was the director of the popular theatre group Yeonheedan.

* Over a period of 20 years many actresses in Lee’s troupe had been forced to offer him intimate massages.

* Theatre Kim Soo-hee said"I could not refuse. He was the king of the world where I belonged. When I opened the door, I saw him lying on the bed, and as expected, he ordered me to give him a massage. After a while, he suddenly took his pants off.”

* Actress Kim Ji-hyun has come forward with her own tale: "In 2005, I was raped by Lee while I was offering him a massage. I got pregnant and had to have an abortion. Lee gave me some KRW2 million ($2,000) and an apology. Later, as the matter became forgotten, he started sexually assaulting me again."

* Another actress, Lee Seung-bi, claimed that she suffered professional consequences for refusing Toon-taek's advances.

* Lee Hyun-joo was ruled guilty in court of sexually assaulting another female director. Lee blamed the decision on her being gay.

* Lee has decided to retire after the guilty ruling; she has only directed one film to date.

Camila Cabello talks about her racist tweets and messages

In a bizarre profile where the writer tries to assert that Camila Cabello is the "biggest pop star in the world" and compared her debut in 2018 to Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, and Lady Gaga in 1988, 1998, and 2008 respectively, Camila Cabello briefly talked about the leaked text messages and tweets where she freely used the n-word.

Camila says she was young and has since "learnt".

If there was any sort of apology or elaboration on what exactly she's learned, it wasn't included in the article.

She says she mostly stays away from social media now because she wants to live her life the way everyone else does in a way that's free of public scrutiny.

The profile writer described her use of the n-word to describe Obama as "affectionate" and didn't mention the vile racist messages about her bandmate Normani:
