Alexander Polinsky, who started working on Charles in Charge at age 11, filed his own accusations against Scott Baio with the LAPD to back up co-star Nicole Eggert’s allegations. He claims the pattern of abuse started after he walked in on Baio and Eggert when Eggert was only 14. The abuse lasted from age 12 to 15. Details under the cut — warning, content is very triggering.

• Baio repeatedly called him homophobic slurs, described homosexual acts in detail to him, and bragged about his “sexual conquests with young women.”


• Baio pulled his pants down on set.


• Baio cut a hole in Polinsky’s private changing area, sticking his own genitals through the whole.


• Polinsky startled Baio backstage, and Baio then threw a cup of hot coffee in his face. Baio apologized, but what Polinsky called “sexual hazing” continued to happen thereafter.

– TBS has ordered a pilot for Lena Waithe's comedy series Twenties, once described it as a "Master of None about life in my 20's, set in LA." Lena wrote and created the original Twenties pilot, which was split into four parts online a few years ago.
– The single-camera project follows a queer black girl named Hattie and her two straight best friends, Marie and Nia, who“spend most of their days talking s–t and chasing their dreams,” per the official logline.
– Waithe said, “I wrote ‘Twenties’ back in 2009. I always wanted to tell a story where a queer black woman was the protagonist and I’m so grateful to TBS for giving me a platform to tell this story. Queer black characters have been the sidekick for long enough, it’s time for us to finally take the lead.”
– Lena won the 2017 Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy series for her critically lauded Master of None Thanksgiving episode, revolving around her character Denise coming to terms with her sexuality and family. This biographical thriller is about Lizzie Borden, so you know it's going to be pretty gay. Lizzie, played by Chloe Sevigny, strikes up a relationship with her live-in family maid, Bridget Sullivan (Kristen Stewart). From the source: "Kristen Stewart is breathtaking in every movie she's in (um), and her portrayal of Bridget marks the actress's first explicitly queer role."

Lizzie is expected to be released this summer.

4. My Days of Mercy



Lucy (Ellen Page) and Mercy (Kate Mara) have differing views on the death penalty, but that doesn't stop them from sharing an "undeniable attraction" or something.

This romantic drama is set in the 1950s and is about the relationship between a doctor (Anna Paquin) and the mother of one of her patients (Holliday Grainger). I haven't read the Fiona Shaw novel the movie is adapted from, but the source says the book "has been regarded as uplifting and liberating" so yay happy ending?

Vida is a half-hour drama series focusing on two Mexican-American sisters from the Eastside of Los Angeles who couldn't be more different or distanced from each other. Circumstances force them to return to their old neighborhood, where they are confronted by the past and surprising truth about their mother’s identity.

The show premieres May 6th.
