- A campaign group, the Dream Defenders, created a petition to support Ahed Tamimi. Ahed is a Palestinian teenager on trial for slapping an IDF soldier in her family's yard after her cousin was shot in the face while protesting Trump's announcement of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Ahed was arrested along with her cousin and mother.
- Signatories include Danny Glover, Jesse Williams, Rosario Dawson, Angela Davis, Alice Walker, Talib Kweli among others
- The petition draws connections between the struggles of Palestinians with police brutality in the United States: "While our struggles may be unique, the parallels cannot be ignored. US police, ICE, border patrol and FBI train with Israeli soldiers, police, and border agents, utilising similar repressive profiling tactics to target and harass our communities."
- Ahed's trial began yesterday. She is being tried by Israel's military court which has a 99.7% conviction rate.

On Tuesday night, Luke Wilson (who was uninjured and fine) and Bill Haas (injured but briefly hospitalized and is now on his way home) were part of a fatal multi-car accident in Pacific Palisades. Haas was a passenger in a Ferrari (whose driver was killed) traveling at high speeds that first clipped Luke's car then hit a BMW, whose driver was hospitalized. Luke and another witness helped the injured out of their cars, per the LA Times.

Industry insiders predicted Mayo of the Woods to perform well and do numbers with upwards of 700k. Atrocious reviews and disastrous singles changed predictions of the albums first week sales. Still Rca/Mayo were desperate for a hit releasing 5 singles in a span of a month. The ultimate buzzkill for Mayo's album was his Superbowl halftime performance which was widely panned and had the lowest ratings for a halftime show in a decade. Mayo made history for not only having the worst halftime show in history or having the lowest rated performance but Mayo actually reversed predictions from 700k to a measely 293k. Mayo’s sales decline is surprising because he had the biggest platform in the world to promote the album — the halftime show at Super Bowl LII. A total of 103.4 million people watched the Super Bowl this year. Mayo timed his album release to take maximum advantage of that appearance. Mayo of the Woods came out two days before the big show, and he opened his performance with the album’s lead single, “Forgettable.” By contrast, last year’s headliner, Lady Gaga, performed more than three months after the release of her album Joanne. However, Gaga’s halftime show was widely praised, while Mayo’s received scathing reviews. Lady Gaga also managed to get over 118 million to view her show whereas Mayo barely held onto 103 million views. sad.

-- Warner Bros Motion Picture President Greg Silverman was supervisor for DC's film slate. He was removed from that post in May 2016 after the disastous reception to Batman v Superman. Executives were concerned with Snyder's work and pleaded with Silverman to replace him for JL. Silverman refused. He was fired from the studio in December 2016.

-- Snyder was then fired from the film several weeks later. While rough-cuts tend to be terrible and in need of major work, multiple sources say Snyder's rough-cut of the film was unwatchable.

-- No announcement of his departure was made until May, when Snyder announced he was leaving to take care of his family after his daughter's death.

-- WB has commented that Snyder's involvement in DC's film universe at this time is limited to being an executive producer only.

-- The film was released digitally today, so #BuyJusticeLeagueoniTunes
