Jay Asher, author of 13 Reasons Why, was expelled from the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators last year due to allegations of sexual harassment.

Netflix, which airs the television adaptation of 13 Reasons Why, announced that Asher had no involvement in the show's upcoming second season, and thus the series will not be impacted by this news.

According to journalist Tony Ortega's Underground Bunker site, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Special Circumstances Committee has approved charging Danny Masterson with several violent rapes. The sex crimes charge carries a life sentence in prison and involves inflicting "aggravated mayhem or torture.”

The charges now await approval from the District Attorney. Masterson has been accused of four violent rapes between 2001-04. HuffPo said there's "overwhelming evidence."
