• Each person was given a goody bag that contained a palm-sized crystal, either in black or white, as parting gifts.

Clear quartz crystals were meant to be used for "universal harmony," or balancing and revitalizing the "physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual planes." Meanwhile, black tourmaline crystal were specifically for "protection."

“This crystal is a protective stone which repels and blocks negative energies,” read an accompanying notecard. “It also works in reducing fear and increasing focus.” There were instructions for both on how to clean your crystal, in case you didn’t already know that it requires a 24-hour salt bath.

We’re no crystal experts, but we’re pretty sure that anyone who touches an Olsen twins crystal will have good luck for the rest of their lives.

Portraiture team Brinson+Banks photographed the stars and director of Black Panther for a feature in The New York Times.



The group discussed this unique cultural moment, representation at Disney, telling African stories, and what it means to be involved in bringing this story to a global audience.

"I’ve done other films that have had historic significance because of what has happened in the past, but this not only refers to the past, it sets the stage for where we’re going."

Can I just clear this up...the reason McFLY haven’t released any new music is not because I’ve “been too busy writing books”. I appreciate and share your frustration in the absence of McFLY lately.

Background:

*McFly haven't released a proper album in 8 years, with their last one Above The Noise, released in 2010. They were going to release a 6th album couple years back and had 3 albums worth of material, but decided to push it back in favour of McBUSTED, a super group of McFly and Busted, which was ery successful, having an album and sold out tour in the UK.

*Since then, the members have been doing solo projects and have been busy with their families, as 3 of the boys have had babies recently.

*Tom in particular has released couple children's books and novels (some with his band member, Dougie), and just announced a trilogy of books that he's written with his wife, Giovanna, called Eve of Man.

*The news of the trilogies left some McFly fans upset and frustrated because they feel that they've abandoned McFly, which caused Tom to tweet a statement regarding it, which he has never done. It seems that there might be some issues behind the scenes regarding the absence of McFly

I just really miss McFLY, and wanted a post. I used to run the McFly Canadian Fan Club twitter page at one point when I was like 14, hahaha, and though my love for them has been low-key now, if they ever came to Canada, I would actually spend a shit load of money for them. I really do miss them, ugh

The Biologist Lena is played by Natalie Portman, the character is of Asian descent in the books.
The Psychologist Dr. Ventress is played by Jennifer Jason Leigh. In the book, the character is half-Caucasian and half-American Indian.

Two organizations have accused the film of whitewashing these two characters: Media Action Network for Asian Americans and American Indians in Film and Television. :

“Writer/director Alex Garland is not being true and honest to the characters in the book. He exploits the story but fails to take advantage of the true identities of each character. Hollywood rarely writes prominent parts for Asian American and American Indian characters, and those roles could’ve bolstered the careers of women from those communities.”

“We are not surprised by the Whack-a-Mole diversity replacement that goes on; just when you finish objecting to one white-washed casting, another one pops up,”

On Monday night, Black Panther's colors, spirit and inspirations made their way to New York Fashion Week at Black Panther: Welcome To Wakanda, a charity presentation featuring 10 designers who contributed pieces inspired by the forthcoming Marvel film (out Feb. 16).

Labels including Chromat, Cushnie et Ochs, LaQuan Smith, Ikiré Jones, Sophie Theallet and TOME participated with custom-made apparel, jewelry and footwear for the event, all of which will be auctioned off following the show to support Save the Children.

Activision is currently working on a Spyro the Dragon Trilogy Remaster, which will be announced in March 2018.The Spryo Trilogy includes the original Spyro games: 'Spyro the Dragon', 'Ripto's Rage!', and 'Year of the Dragon'.

• The remastered trilogy will feature new assets, lighting, animations and cinematics, as well as a remastered soundtrack.


• The Spyro remaster will be announced for PS4, with PS4 Pro support.


• The game will be a one-year timed exclusive for PS4, before being ported to other systems in 2019.


• It is rumored it will be released around September of this year, around Spyro the Dragon's 20th anniversary.

– The upcoming DC animated film Batman Ninja just dropped its first English-dubbed trailer, featuring the voices of Roger Craig Smith, Tony Hale, Tara Strong, and more.
– The synopsis reads:"Batman Ninja takes a journey across the ages as Gorilla Grodd's time displacement machine transports many of Batman's worst enemies to Feudal Japan - along with the Dark Knight and a few of his allies. The villains take over the forms of the feudal lords that rule the divided land, with the Joker taking the lead among the warring factions. As his traditional high-tech weaponry is exhausted almost immediately, Batman must rely on his intellect and his allies - including Catwoman and the extended Bat-family - to restore order to the land, and return to present-day Gotham City."
– It'll be released digitally April 24th and on DVD/Blu-ray May 8th. Figurines will go on sale too as well.
– The film was directed by Junpei Muzusaki ft. character designs by Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki. In addition to Batman and the Joker, the film will also features all four Robins, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Bane, and Gorilla Grodd.
